Interesting how it calls Jim the Commissioner. I wonder if he steps down [toy spoiler]or dies[/spoiler] in the middle of the movie.
Is this Bat Country now?
is your collection complete yet, /toy/? Did your store finally stock that thing youve been waiting for? Have your pre-orders been post-ordered and arrived at your home? Did you collect 'em all? with pretty much nothing on your backlog or anything to look forward to until that certain something is announced?
>>6005774
No. I'm even thinking of dropping one sub-collection because i know I'll never have the full set.
>>6005774
That must feel nice but
>11 items in the mail
>35 items on preorder
>about 40 items I want still have no preorder yet
And even with all of these in my hands, most of my collections wouldn't be complete so no, I'm not even relatively close to completing my collection. I don't even think half the shit I want has been released/announced already.

what's the best deal you've ever gone for?
>600 yen figuarts akiba red
best deal you missed out on and feel regret for every waking moment?
>$30 new figma ryuko on amazon
I just bought like $4000 worth of stuff for $500 because every Hastings store shut down
I used to buy large lots of TFs on eBay and end up getting one or two figures for a decent price. Like, at one point, an unbroken G1 Hotrod went for $75. I got one in a lot with a nice Kup and a bunch of other figures and parts for $40. Sold everything but Hotrod off for $20 so somebody else got a pretty good deal on the Kup.
>>6000889
I got most of the akiba stuff on clearance. Itassha Robo was probably the best deal. It was like 15500 yen shipped on a hlj summer sale.
Does anyone know good smiles policy on replacement parts? I have just about everything kill LA kill relayed they released and a mooden replica I have of the scissor blade fell on top of them. Luckily the only thing that broke was a small spike off the right eye of senketsu kisaragi ver. (Will post pics) and lost the tiny little grass thing that hangs out of fight club mako's mouth. Do you guys think GCS would send me replacements for these despite being old? I'd try to fix myself but the main problem is finding the prices as they are very small.
You're fucked.
The toy is too old for replaccements so chances are zero.
>>5999786
Probably not.
They refused to replace my lucinas(last year release one) defected arm twice because its too old
>Ryuko Senketsu Kisaragi ver.
There should be a third yellow spike but it broke off. Should I find tips on fixing it would be nice. Like best glue or whatever.

The blue tone seems darker than the master figure. Which is fine by me, like it better this way. Never liked the light cobalt blue tone of the prototype.

Somehow the skin tone seems to blend well with both previous releases.

Straight limbs are generally bad. People don't naturally stand straight, nor are their limbs straight at rest. Try to think of where a limb would look good being for a pose, and remember action requires weight and movement, so generally you're going to be leaning in some sort of direction.
Of course all of this is going to be limited by available articulation, and not everything needs some sort of crazy action pose to look decent.

I'm mostly just disappointed that Cassidy doesn't even have his sunglasses unless you get some blood-spattered exclusive variant.
>>5901294
Same goes with Neca, the comic character designs are so much more interesting than the tv show.
Do you want a
>Jesse Custer that looks like Mel Gibson, has a mullet and an eyepatch and wears white suit pants with preacher garb.
Or....
>A bearded hipster in preacher garb.
How is this? I know what I'd be getting in terms of articulation and sculpt, but in terms of plastic and quality control is it alright?
Shame the rest of the ReAction figures after the Alien line look so awful. It's a cool idea but they completely fucking botched it from what I can tell.
Other retro styled figures worth checking out are Legends of Cthulhu and Super 7's The Worst. I agree that 99% of the funko shit is shit.
>>6005815
The alien is ok anon !
I have it, it's a great little figure for what you can expect from something so simple.
One of my favourite fig, this alien is just so charming !
>>6005815
He's fun, anon. Only gripe I have is his transparent dome comes off too easily.
Can anyone recommend a good tutorial on how to create poseable stands like this one but for 12 inch dolls, or share some tips on how to make one to be sturdy enough to not tip over?
Thanks in advance.
>>6005771
>to not tip over?
Have the doll's centre-of-gravity be within the base of the stand.
>>6005776
Fair enough. I was starting to wonder if a flexible wire might do... but then those deform overtime.
>>6005800
If the wire is stiff enough it would work, but such wire is hard to bend with simple tools.
There's actually a lot of generic doll stands on artshops/ebay made out of wire. Main thing is to loop the sharp ends or coat the gripping area to prevent scratching/scuffing the doll.
