I'm not sure if this is against the rules to ask(read the rules), but I kind of need help.
I work in a children's group home that has 3 teens. I have gift ideas for 2 of them... But I'm stuck on the third. He loves putting toys together in a totem-pole type way (he will stick a sharp stick-like toy into the bottom of a me potato Head... Then put a dragon head thing that has a pointy bottom on top of Mr potato Head). He does this with a lot of toys.
Pic is a toy idea that looks great for him, except I'm not sure if the pieces would "stick" together well enough for him... He needs something durable like putting 4x4 Lego bricks on top of each other. Also, I think he is more creative than just staying one type of toy on itself.
Any ideas?
(Also he loves toys that are miniature people... He sticks peg-people on top of his creations too...even if it requires tape to make it stick xD)

Lego or any kind of buiding brick set
The kid I'm talking about functions pretty well... Vacuums his room on his own, can make out change, spells many words... He's 13 so hr should be able to eventually get a job when hrs older... Unlike many of the guys who spend their days trolling to make themselves feel better :p. Didn't realize it until I started working here but the main value you see in Thomas the train is being useful. Some people should learn from that :D

How do other people react to your toy collecting hobby? Do your friends, family or gf / bf knows it? Do they appreciare it? Do you post toy pics in your social medias? Share your experiences, anon!
Me: closest friends know and make fun of it, M and D says that I spend too much of my money in toys ahd luckily GF has a few bootleg figs (she is poor). I also ocasionally throw a random toy pic of my collection in instagram and facebook.

>appreciate
Fix'd
Sometimes when my friends are over and we're hanging out I'll show them a new figure I know that they'll enjoy as normies. SHF Bruce Lee and Neca Police Assault Terminator, for example. They like it, sometimes it bowls them over seeing how far toys have come since the 80's/early 90s. Never got flak for it.

I haven't told any of my friends but when my mother was visiting she was so dissapointed, in fact she was more upset with my toy collection than she was when she found out my sister was addicted to pain killers.
I haven't told my bf either, because he's really into sports and I'm worried he'll judge me. He knows I'm into anime but his knowledge of anime is basically just DBZ and he doesn't show much interest in it beyond that.
Pic VERY related !

Who wants that shit when you could have paper playing cards
>>6019345
$ell the build-a-figure piece for twice the profit?
>>6019283
Still too expensive.
What are these figures? I know they are copyright 1996 and I think they're from Krystal. They all transform into kinda robots, and there is a blue turtle one as well, not shown here.

Looks like some Australian toy brand, iirc.
They removed him because they were unaware of the dank moon memes.
I just wanted a Mac Tonight minifigure.
>>6018533
I just want good meme figures in general
sure it's not because it's fucking copyrighted to a major company?

We can only hope for Overwatch figures
please
If it's bad just tell me if I'll thank you
Its not a figma, but yes it is good.
I too, am tempted to buy Ranma (girl).
As far as I can tell the only downside is that the legs can't go as high as I would like.
Accessory count is good, it even comes with a tamashii stage stand.
Thank you, I think I'll buy it
What's the hottest fingerbox to get this season?

Digital is where it's at!
For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

Secret Santa
It's that time of year again. Just look at the form and fill it out. Signups last until December 1st, pairs go out in the days after that.

A few things:
-Use an active email, I don't want to be hounding you and then have to repair someone.
-Use your full address, I don't know every damn city and zip code in the US.
A new option, Cards Only. If you pick this you're assumed to be willing to ship international (it's a card after all). It doesn't have to be a handmade card, just something nice. Of course handmade is nicest, but not everyone has the skills for it.

As always, I'm available here, on IRC, or at [email protected].

I had the DX9 Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, and Ratchet. Only have Ratchet now, the rest were just too disappointing. The build quality on DX9 figures just feels cheap compared to Iron Factory. Besides Ratchet, the transformations were uninteresting to boot.
I really wanted to get Hulkie, but with only 3/4 Dx9 guys seeming to be worth it, I passed. I'll pass on their Predaking too unless they really pull something out. I can wait for IF to put out a combiner team, it's only a matter of time.
>>6014705
Hmm, I wonder if the new ones are fixed some then? I have the new DX9 Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge set on preorder.
Let's get a Godzilla toy thread going.

How so?
This is my zilla & friends collection
So the Raptors backerkit is closing on the 15th, pretty much everything has been seen (minus the rest of the babbies)
You getting anything?
Hyped for the Ceratopians?
>babbies
I can't decide what colors I want
probably red, but I've got a dark brown raptor too damnit

>You getting anything?
Yes
>Hyped for the Ceratopians?
Nope
Let's compare different toy lines and bicker about the differences

Being unsure which is which, The two on the left look best. The other 2 have weird proportions.

The two on the right look like the down syndrome brigade.

Have 3 hovertank troopers, zero scarif troopers :c
Finally got my Mafex Boba Fett.
What an amazing looking figure, this is without a doubt the definitive 6 inch Boba.
Poor Revoltech has been blown the fuck out of my display.
GENTLEMAN! I am attempting to get a hold of a collection of kenner's Shadow figures, but I feel the line is criminally understaffed by..well, criminals. Are there any playsets/figures that fit a 20's/30's style to fit with them? I thought about Dick Tracy and the Spawn Alley as a backdrop, but there must be better! any help would be much appreciated.
I was gonna say "Dick Tracy" but it looks like you already got that covered.
How about the Evil Eye Benedict from the Last Action Hero toyline?
A few of the bad guys from C.O.P.S. and Crooks might work. They're a little bright but so are Dick Tracy characters. (Filename is not a joke--this character is really named "Buttons McBoomBoom.")
>>6011926
I'm in a similar situation. I got the Funko Rocketeer, enjoyed him greatly, but I have nobody to pose him with. At a stretch, WW2 Captain America and maybe a Big Daddy, but that's the best I can do.
We need a modern Shadow toy.
