Death Guard are a step in the right direction since they are more consistent in their designs and have a more industrial look about em. I just hate that the majority of Chaos stuff is like all these wierd nonsensical patterns and random demon flesh growing out of every corner. I think it's both dice if you use Ere We Go, the "roll" is 2D6, so you reroll 2D6. However, you don't have to use Ere We Go (it says you "can" reroll, not "must") so you could choose to instead use a CP to reroll one of the dice. Definitely can't do both though.

Hell, I would love to play 40k but my crippling fear of missing out won't let me. There is a whoopton of game modes but there is not a comprehensive list of them and rules for some are really hard to find. There are also rules for models you can't get and models with no rules. There is also lots of 'hidden' stuff that is just nightmarish for my autistic need of knowing everything before making a purchase, like the offchance of going to a tournament and facing off against a gay that has a list with bonuses coming from its composition that were posted on GW twitter ages ago or fielding a model that was made by forgeworld but is no longer in production. I love everything about the universe and the game but this is killing me.

On paper 15-man Crusader squads led by the named characters in Land Raider Crusaders seem good.
The problem of melee-heavy is anti-tank. Except Dreadnought I don't think there is a good solution, and Dreads will be focused is they are your only solution.

GK can't field Chapter Masters, they only have Grand Masters or Brotherhood Captains. Of the two you'll definitely want a Grand Master for the rerolls.

Incinerators are trash on anything that isn't Interceptors. Units are generally faster, and you can't use an Incinerator after deep striking anymore due to only having 8'' range and having to land outside 9''. Psycannons all the way.
You only pick a Librarian if you want the full D3 damage Smite now, they don't really add anything to GK now that other HQ choices have build in buffs and can also cast Hammerhand. If you want another HQ to buff shit take an Ancient of some kind to give the terminators +1 attack with his banner.
Dreadknight over Dreadnought. More movement, and weapons that shoot more and also have reasonable damage. Las/missile is rather specialized for only killing big models,which is not that much of an issue with GK because they all have melee weapons that do D3 damage.

Also take at least one Daemonhammer in each unit, and give it to the Justicar.

Lets say you have 2 units of berserkers. 1 of them charged this turn and 1 of them is fighting from a previous turn. The way it works normally, you do all the charges first and then you start alternating with the player whose turn it is going first.

Let's say you have Berserker unit A, which charged and Berserker unit B, which is in a fight from a previous turn.

Does the fight phase go: A, A - Take turns, B, enemy unit, B

Yes. Renegades army list allows you to take some imperial guard tanks. If you do this you replace the regiment key word with "renegade" and the imperium key word with "chaos".

The chimera can transport 12 models with the "Astra Militarum" key word. Renegades infantry do not have the Astra Militarum keyword so cannot enter a chimera.

I enjoy the Gorkanaught if I just wanna straight up smash shit. Hard to hit with it's dakka, but after you can back up, fire it all again and charge the same group of you really wanna make sure something is dead.

Never really used a meka-dread before, but it just seems like a Morkanaught with a better BS and guns that don't mortal wound itself. Sad part is that people might argue the lack of rokkit-bomms thanks to it not being on the dread.

You need some at least semi-expendable troops to zone away deep striking units and keep units from charging your valuable units, preventing them from shooting for a turn.
It is also valuable to charge into things like large Ork mobs and such, because it prevents those from charging in their turn.
Tactical marines can do those things but then also have a very good chance of doing some real damage as well, or even surviving.
