If retroactive undeadening counts, my record is 4. As far as actually being revived goes, I think I've had it happen twice.
>>
What are some articles and material I could read though about how to solve D&D/Pathfinder economy? I've read how the current price of equipment and magic is due to how 1ed set the temp for Gold = XP. However I am unable to find suggested solutions.
>>
What's a good way to justify or disguise the fact that you are walking around with a handful of undead bodyguards?
>>

i fixed it in my games by making adventurer-type gear and services use a completely different currency that's only used for such things as magic swords and potions and etc.
you've got to be signed up with one of the many guilds in the setting to be eligible to participate in this system, and so it's more difficult for thoroughly chaotic groups to get geared up, naturally causing the world to be more orderly
that's only for real adventurer stuff, though, normal swords, potions of remove stomach ache and services to animate some brooms in a mansion still go for gold, and reasonable amounts of it too
you can still purchase murderhobo crap off the black market for it's "normal" price in gold, but it suddenly makes sense for these items to be worth more than a mansion
selling and buying on the black market is also extremely difficult and risky for anyone but the biggest top dogs, so if the players want to make bank by selling off a +3 flaming longsword it basically takes a whole adventure just to secure a deal, most likely get backstabbed seven times since the money involved is huge, etc.
this also allows "normal" people to hand out magical gear as rewards, since it's worthless to them as they can't properly swing a +2 greatsword and they sure as hell won't be selling it either
i also don't allow players to craft magic gear aside from potions/scrolls/wands because making magic swords is for superwizards and takes a long time, instead i encourage them to just go shopping more frequently, it's certainly available very often and they have plenty of "cash" to spend
in the end the players end up having more access to magic gear, potentially get geared a bit above WBL, and yet aren't walking around with more gold than a small nation's treasury
i realize this won't work for many settings and games, but it's been working at my table for almost three years now
it's a very "video-gamey" solution, but if your table is up for it, it's not a problem

Could you explain how the currency you've added is handed out(and how much), are there services for conversions of real gold, one way or the other? Are they 1:1 for book prices of magical gear?
How would one go about attaining said special currency? Is is an international organization of guilds or only in one kingdom?
>>
>>52733015
>How would one go about attaining said special currency?
I presume you do quests for The Guild.
>>
>>52732238
This may sound crazy but copy PFS and make the PCs paid employees of a powerful organization that has some very specific restrictions to looting. Basically, they do not have looting rights but instead receive a salary.
>>
>>52732072
In my WotR game, I killed the entire party with the Wardstone explosion at the end of book 1. Makes more sense to me personally than "flying shards miss you but kill the enemy, and then you're paralyzed for X rounds while things happen". Instead it's "flying shards hit everything in the room, killing you AND them, and then you're dying for X rounds while things happen before the mythic shards embedded in your body restore you to life with mythic ranks.
Also they're possessed by the ghosts of former crusaders now.

my setting is basically non-dystopian, medieval-fantasy shadowrun in that the whole world is run by enormous guilds. they have so much power as to influence even the most powerful of countries. some are truly benevolent organizations, such as the adventurers which specialize in dealing with monsters, finding missing items and people, and clearing out dangerous areas. some are less so, such as the merchants which backstab eachother constantly and are all about profit over everything. if you sign up for one of these guilds, you're entered into the system. how each one hands out the currency is different, for example the adventurers have bounty boards with jobs and listed rewards, while the merchants may also have jobs such as bodyguard or transport but are more likely to have those be real jobs with salaries rather than quest-type contracts. the only way to convert the currency into gold is to sell your gear on the black market, which is elusive and dangerous. for WBL purposes, 1 currency = 1 platinum coin. so, something that costs 2000gp costs 200 currency. being signed on with a guild also grants a salary in gp so that you can buy food and pay your bills and be alive.

essentially the currency is good goy coins handed out by the happy merchants to their loyal pawns. but that's obfuscated by layers upon layers of bureaucracy, speeches, lackeys, etc.
at the very top, each guild is actually run by some sort of powerful being such as an outsider or a dragon, and the world is in a cold war type state due to the constant power struggle of these guilds.

you can also be a freelancer, being able to take jobs without signing up with any guilds. a freelancer license is hard to get and makes you a big deal, since the normal rules of each guild don't fully apply to you. usually, you aren't an actual freelancer as you have a boss to report to, but not having to sign with a guild lets you avoid stuff like mandatory service, taxes, fees, meetings, etc.

I've been looking at Sculpt Corpse and was wondering what kind of fun shit you could do with it. It says you can reshape a corpse to look like another creature/gender/age/type and in the process increase or decrease its size by one step. It also says if a spell targets the corpse (examples are speak with dead or raise dead) then treats the corpse as if it had the original appearance. This isn't an illusion, also.

So some immediately obvious stuff you could do are make a corpse look like you, make a corpse look like anyone you have ever seen, or make a corpse look like a small animal. Some fun stuff is possible depending on how you interpret the "This merely changes the appearance. The corpse has original appearance for any spells that target the corpse." part but I'm not sure about it. Like if I physically changed a medium human corpse to a large bear and the insides of it were a bear it would be strange if raising it made a medium human zombie.

>make a medium human large, then animate dead
>make a human into an animal, and animate dead
>make a corpse look like you, then animate dead
>make a heavy corpse smaller and turn it to bones with Decompose Corpse to make it travel sized, then sculpt it back to its normal size later and give it back its meat if you wish
>sculpt a corpse to look like someone, then cut off their parts as proof of their death (or send the parts to them, for kicks)

Thoughts?
>>
>>52733449
Using it for bounties, and putting flesh back on corpses you made travel friendly sound like the most practical, not-necessarily-evil-stop-judging-me uses.

Newcomer on pfg talking. A friend of mine is going to DM a game of pathfinder again and he asked me to make a new character for a new smaller scale campaign. My previous one was a Hobgob Fear Knight, and I greatly enjoyed the playstyle of debuffing ennemies with intimidation and buffing allies with manoeuvres. Only real gripe is the Order system : I wanted to make a slaver knight and had to choose Cockatrice order and be greesy all the time. I'd like to make a new character following that kind of template, but more independant. What class and build should I take for a loyal evil "not-Kagain" mercenary type dwarf ? How do I make optimized martials in Pathfinder ?

There's the Scaled Fist archetype for Monk/Unchained Monk, but that's more about boosting your own capabilities. If psionics is allowed, there's a class called Dread you may be interested in.

How would you approach making a "dynamic duo" character? You know, Banjo & Kazooie? Alchemist and his Ogre? Two goblins in a large trenchcoat pretending to be a masked human? Do you just take, like, Squire? Play a Summoner and use your Eidolon for it?
>>
>>52733916
Betrothed from Avowed.
Summoner.
Some Cavalier archetypes that give you a squire.
Leadership as a feat.

Animal Companions also work.

If you want attached at the hip like Banjo & Kazooie then Synth Summoner can be fluffed that way.

Also I suppose you can use humanoids as mounts if they're a size category larger than you.
>>
>>52733916
Well... leadership is also a thing if you really want something like that. But betrothed also works. Summoner is pretty damn tricky unless you understand the class inside and out since paizo seems to hate the class and has saturated it with 'noyoucant' restrictions.

Also consider taking a familiar. Maybe a sage and his idiotic sorcerer boy.

I'm playing a Unchained Monk/Stalker multiclass from a coastal town. After picking the Ki power to hold breath for hours on end, and having had the feat Aquatic Combatant I'm now being called budget Aquaman. Are there any feats In addition to aquatic combatant I should take since I now need to save the whales?
>>
>>52734188
Core only, 10pb, no feat taxes, average starting wealth, no magic items, "low-magic" (i.e no full-casters). Truly, the bane of /pfg/
>>
>>52734393
At that point you might as well play freeform and make coin flips to determine outcomes, unless you're a class with cantrips.
>>
>>52732072
>>52732072
None, but I unknowingly was carrying around an intelligent minor artifact that was, on a cosmic scale, preventing me from dying.

When it went crazy, the Lady of Graves agreed to destroy it for me on the condition that the next time that I'm knocking on death's door, there will be no cheating it. Good way to make sure that the thing keeping me unnaturally alive stops existing and that I will definitely kick the bucket for good someday.

Haven't had any Pathfinder characters actually die yet, though. We'll see what happens this time around. My group is yet to use resurrection spells, and half of us have backup characters in case our current ones die. If you play a bunch of long adventures as a character, I can see why you'd get attached. Otherwise, death is just part of their stories, so I don't understand why resurrection is seen as so necessary.

>>
Hey, /pfg/. I've got a build question:

I'm playing a home campaign that is basically using PFS rules. The character I want to try making is an exploiter wizard, since the +2 to DCs/ECL from Arcane Reservoir is actually pretty good (in addition to stuff like dimensional slide).

My question is this: I'm going human, and probably going to take Improved Initiative as one of my two feats. Is it worth it to use my other feat to get a familiar, or should I consider doing something else (Greater Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, etc) with it?
>>
>>52732072
Resurrection is something the gods (or nature) rarely decide to imbue upon servants who haven't fulfilled their purpose. Otherwise it lies solely in myth. So far I have one character in the party who might deserve it, but she's still too far from her god's goal to warrant it. If she dies he'll offer her a chance to finish what she started as a mummy but bar her a place with her dead husband in the afterlife. She'd probably just accept death considering her primary motivation is to avenge her husband and rejoin him in death.
>>
>>52734478
You can keep the feel of not being magical superheroes while also not having shit/boring mechanics. That's all about tone.
>>
What happens to a person if they get hit by dominate person?
Do they try to hide that?

>>

The moment you lower anything here, it's decried as crippling and boring. So, no, you can't.
>>
/pfg/ I'm playing a lvl3 one armed bard that does nothing but inspire courage and intimidate enemies in combat + support spells. What else can I do to be useful?
I'm already healbitch with my wand of CLW.
How can I support harder? About to hit lvl4 btw.
>>
>>52734502
It's a DC 15 to notice if they're under the effect of an Enchanment Effect, I'm not sure if they can bluff it.
>personality
You carry out your given task and only your given task with single mindedness unless you need to attend to things related to your survival. So I'd say yes.
>>
>>52734188
Clearly the only true way to play this is starting at level 19 with enough xp that killing a rat gets you to 20, quadruple gestalt and mythic gestalt, infinite money to buy anything and at least 4 major artifacts as starting gear, only wizards, sorcerers and arcanists from paizo allow, rest is 3pp only 60pb, gargoyles and driders only.
>>
>>52734502
If you're clever then most people won't know the difference, but when forced to do actions they wouldn't normally do I roleplay it as a sort of dissonance between how they act and what they're doing. Like say they're told to kill someone, they'll act as though they're going out shopping while plunging a dagger into their friend. I don't think a personality change is warranted unless the controller assumes direct control.
>>
>>52734474

Holy heck this, start reading into other posts and notice the flaws. That intimidating slab of detail isn't as sterling as you might think.
>>
>>52734548
Yes but does the will of the person in control affect them
Like, cold calculating vampire dominates something and now they act with the emotion he would act because he commands people to do how he imagines it
When you command someone "to kill", will they kill the way you imagine it?

Familiars are great for this kind of thing. The many archetypes let them fulfill lots of functions without stepping on too many toes or stealing too much spotlight from the rest of the crew.
>>
>>52734565
That's a good question.
I'd say they'd "default" to their normal personality with in reason unless commanded to something outrageously out of character or commanded to act a certain way.

How about this...

>>
I just got #30 - Firearms of Legacy and loved how this "Legacy Weapons" works. I'm looking for more books like that. Any recommendation?
>>
>>52734688
That sounds retarded for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is how hard it fucks over entire character concepts. Most of all is how it screws with the math, unless you have the level up process be "you're retraining commoner levels" until you hit 7 with your actual class.

Chargen rule debates are retarded as well. It varies from campaign to campaign, from person to person. You can point at chargen rules that are almost universally reviled by people on here ("PFS style", "15 PB low fantasy 1pp only with RAW ABP", "Kineticist banned but Master Summoner is fine") but there's too many variations of "acceptable" rules to really nail it down.
I'm still pining for a game that's mainly just 1pp+jolly+forrest,
no PoW/SoM, but the likelihood of that is infinitismally small.

Anon from last night with the shitty DM here. Tried confronting him about powerfagging and railroading the story. I told him that I think the game would benefit more from having us play our characters rather than just follow the story he's already plotted out. He basically said "You want to play your characters? Well, I want to play my characters too, and my characters want to progress the story" and just shrugged me off.

I'd prefer to work through it and somehow come to a compromise at the very least. I've been friends with both him and all the other players since high school, so at least ten years. His campaign is just getting unbearable, though. We just whiz through towns and NPCs and battles because, according to him, we've been slacking off on the main story that he's been planning for months.

>>52735846
I'd recommend you take reviews with a grain of salt, since they're probably going to have a view of what a game is "supposed to be like" that's different from the GM's.

You especially shouldn't trust the Reviewanons who namefag in the thread--more often than not, they're trying to shill for their own character and those they want to play with, while downplaying other characters. Notice how Viviana got included in a predicted Blingmaker party so easily?
>>
>>52735883

Reviewanons are scum is the new meta
>>
>>52735883
>more often than not, they're trying to shill for their own character and those they want to play with

...That's a really cynical way of saying 'they're inherently more biased and blind to the faults of something they wrote for themselves, and they hope they get to be in a party with the other characters they liked enough to review highly', anon
>>
>>52735918
And that's a more idealistic way of saying what I said. So we're both right.
>>
>>52735883
But anon, it's still another perspective other than my own. Someone willing to take the time to actually look at something I've done for my own amusement and tell me what they think. That in and of itself has value, as spotty as the quality of the review(s) may be.
It's fun, basically.

To be honest, I'm pretty glad I never actually had to review my own characters in the games I applied to, because I feel like I'm poorly equipped to fairly review my own characters and I'd probably have to be extra-critical just to avoid suspicion. I don't like sneakily self-shilling by putting other people down- I'd actually rather help other people make good apps so that if I get in it's alongside player characters that I can like and enjoy playing with. While it might happen this time, I'm hoping I can avoid it.

Unlike some other reviewanons (the namefagging kind), I always sort of viewed the review process as an empathy test for my fellow players and a way to see which ones I'd most want to get in a game with. It's easy to get drunk on your own sweet waifu build and shit and think it's the hottest thing ever, but ultimately you're playing with other people.

It's also just a fun way to pass the time, you know?
>>
>>52735883
>>52735918
>>52735937
Here's a good rule of thumb for measuring review quality: Do they focus on just tearing you down/talking about how awesome you are? Or do they actually build the review around a process of suggesting what you can improve? If the latter, they're good. If the former, get a second opinion.

I got one I like

>Iron Core
Drawbacks: Center of Power, Focus Casting/Galvanized Casting (Player's Choice), Draining Magic, Rigorous Concentration, all sphere specific drawbacks that limit you to only using that sphere's effects on yourself (i.e regenerate/lycanthropic), all sphere-specific drawbacks that limit you to needing to touch something to effect it.
Boons: Fortified Casting, Easy Focus. You gain Gather Power as the Kineticist class feature and can use it to reduce spellpoint costs as if they were burn, but only down to 1 spellpoint minimum. At 11th you gain Supercharge

I fluff this magic as essentially having a big ole' chunk of alchemical reagents and magic stuffed in your chest cavity, right under your heart. It's got a bunch of copper wires coming out of it that run through your four limbs and up your spine, and you conduct magic through it. You need a special device to actually harness it though- for most people, it's a rod or wand-like device (focus casters), for soldiers/warriors/fighters, it tends to be some kind of weapon or gauntlet (galvanized casting). When you want to use magic, you flex your muscles and the firing nerves activate alchemical reagents inside the "Iron Core", which create magical energy, which is then channeled through the copper wires and into the device, which can then be channeled by touching it to an effect. It's limited, it's painful, and it's not NEARLY as powerful a form of magic as others in the setting, but it's cheap, easy to train for, ANYONE can use it, regardless of race, heritage, creed, or religion, and you just need to be hale and hearty in order to withstand how it rips your body apart. There was also a variation of it- for women that use it, and give birth, the children inherit some of this power, and can use magic w/o the Center of Power or Focus casting traditions, but they lose Easy Focus and Rigorous Concentration.

Both as a player and DM I sometimes find it hard to take a character seriously if they're using a picture of an established fictional character I already know well.
>>
>>52735878
I think we're nearing the end of the campaign. I think at this point it's better just to stick through it and then take my turn as the DM once he's done, hopefully showing him it's more fun for the players if they find their own story through exploration instead of just being strung along through already planned events.

I mentioned this last night, but players get punished for trying to do their own thing. I'm a ranger, so I once tried to start a surprise round by shooting an arrow at a boss before she had a chance to attack, but she vanished in thin air, dodging my attack somehow even though I was stealthed, and then hit me with an attack that removed me from play because I interrupted the monologue. Even last night, I was staying far away from the enemies in the encounter (since, you know, I'm a fucking ranger) and kept out running them since my speed is 7 squares and got a crit on a guy and took him out in one hit because my bow is x3 crit. So one of the mage enemies suddenly had an immediate reaction attack to an ally dying, which he didn't use on any of my other allies, that blinded me for the rest of the battle with no saving throws to alleviate it.

I just feel like I'm constantly punished for playing to my character's strengths and it's fucking awful.

I feel a little bad picking on an incomplete app, so consider this an early bird review/first impressions kind of deal. If the player asks for a re-review once it's filled in, I'll give it a shot.

SYLVESTER BELBOZ
>a man
>so lawful
>he abandoned his titles and rank
>to pursue his ideals
>of justice
>fuck these new nobles, they're just as shitty as the old ones

Ah yes, the mythical CHArbinger of legend. Now I haven't read too much about the Judicator Harbinger homebrew the player put together, but mechanically it's pretty solid- and the designer was nice enough to remove some face skills so that it'd be locked into the morally-grey lawful hero mode. Combining with Dread makes him an Intimidate-based demoralizer par-excellence, of course, with the ability to pick up some useful psychic powers and mix those with maneuvers.

Not quite as durable as the other Heavily Armored Disgraced Male Knight apps, but I expect him to be strong against debuffs.

Personality and memeing tells me what I need to know about the character at first brush. He's a hard lawman who's gone outside the law in the pursuit of justice- he's not a good person but he clearly has a code of ethics that places commoners above the interests of nobles.

Amazingly, the guy actually has some romantic experience. He's been on one date, held hands and might have fucked her. Who knows! Even if he was hypothetically a virgin, it makes him the most sexually experienced of all male PCs I've reviewed so far.

Overall...
>Appeal: 3/5, good image selection and workable concept. He's mid-price vanilla icecream.
>Backstory: -/5, not going to review what isn't there.
>Compatibility: 3/5, he's good at what he does and powerful, but he has low synergy with other party members and there are cooperation concerns with his extreme version of Lawful Neutral.
>Sexual Violence: 2/5, oh my god a man who has a sex drive. I'm STUNNED.
>>

DM'ing is so much more work than playing, just accept your DM has a style and that if you want to be a player you have to put up with it.

The advice you got about talking to your DM was shit honestly. He's not going to bend over for you, why would he? Players just show up with their pants around their ankles and there is an infinite sea of them.

Sorry to interrupt the Blingmaker/Overlewd circlejerk, but can anyone tell me how the fuck the Totem Spiritualist works?

>What's the animal companion's type? Outsider or animal?
>Does it die for good or just gets returned to the ethereal plane? If it couldn't be returned to the ethereal plane, having the Ethereal Tether class feature wouldn't make sense, but it's not called out besides "it works just like an animal companion"
>Do you really loose out on emotional focuses? Then what's the point of playing a spiritualist and not a druid at this point?
>Do you need to Handle Animal on the companion? You do get bonus tricks, but you don't even have handle animal as a class skill and since the Link special ability is different for phantoms, you'd be issueing commands as a move actions and pushing as full-round. Or have both me a free action, depending on interpretation.

How do you even fuck up so hard in describing a class.
>>

>>
>>52736553

>>
>>52736543
Well yeah, I didn't start a conversation with him with the air of having him completely change his style. I respect that he has a story he wants to tell, I know what that's like. It's just he specifically suggested I make a ranger when my last character died since it was a class I never tried and he wanted people to feel like they were exploring new territory in that sense. Except that now he's not letting me use the class he wanted me to use. I just told him I think the game would benefit from people playing to their characters.

I'm not too worried about what it takes to DM, though. I've DM'd before and know what I'd be in for.

> A totem spiritualist begins play with a phantom animal. The phantom animal uses the statistics of an animal companion and follows the standard animal companion progression in regard to Hit Dice, base attack bonus, saving throws, skills, feats, natural armor bonus, Strength and Dexterity bonuses, and bonus tricks, but not its special abilities. A phantom animal instead gains the special abilities of a standard phantom listed in the table on page 77 of Occult Adventures. A phantom animal is capable of becoming harbored in the spiritualist’s consciousness or becoming fully or partially manifested. A phantom animal is otherwise considered a phantom for the purposes of all feats and abilities.
> A phantom animal is otherwise considered a phantom for the purposes of all feats and abilities.

It's an outsider, but it has full progression as an animal companion. If I were your GM I'd let you teach it tricks, assuming you had Handle Animal and Knowledge: Planes or Religion
>>
>>52736597

Don't most animal companions get stuff that you can basically ignore tricks/handle animal?
>>
>>52736573
It's only the spotted hyena that has the females with the pseudopenis. Also, the Aardwolf and Brown Hyena are kinda cute, even if they are hyenas
>>
>>52736610
Yeah, they get bonus tricks and stuff.

Honestly, my guess here would be that you count it as an animal companion for its statblock and a phantom for its special abilities. And the reason it's good is that it's a phantom and not a flesh and blood creature, meaning that you can call it back from destruction fairly easily.

Also would you not want to be able to summon a GHOST MASTODON to fuck shit up?

Through sublimely lucky rolls I brought him down but was succumbing to bleed effects, (I was out of Lay on Hands and restorative spells, and I kept botching healing rolls.) so I accepted fate.

Next session I had a new character rolled up and GM surprised us by my paladin exploding back onto the battlefield in a ray of light, given a second chance due to his loyalty toward Apsu and the long running service record he had.

Jesus christ, it's been less than 3 days and someone already fully completed an app.

Anyway, let's talk mechanics first. Gunslinger + Stalker is a strong build since both are Wis-based classes and with the right disciplines will add up to a very good ranged fighter. As far as cheese goes, my main gripes lie at the foot of the Kasatha race who are normally banned for that sweet +2 Dodge right at level 1, which will stack with both the Stalker and Gunslinger's scaling Dodge bonus. Pistolero is a sidegrade or even downgrade from a vanilla 'slinger, less important since the GM included commonplace guns, but fits nicely with a character who has four arms and can use anywhere from 1 to 4 firearms and reload them all with ease.

Looking at the skills array, I see a fairly well-assembled skillset who can plug holes left by the mostly Int and Cha-heavy apps so far. For someone who wants to be a party scout, spy and assassin, looking relatively human, being sneaky and having strong sense motive are definitely assets. Lack of disguise could be a problem, but I suppose that's what the poncho (and magic) is for.

For anyone wondering how you keep casters from casting.

You use poison or drugs to lower the relevant mental stat below 10. Since they can't cure themselves properly without casting you just need a doctor to keep it at the correct rate to keep them at 8 in the relevant mental stat.
>>
>>52737280
Get either another wizard to cast a strong Emotion based spell on them, or just capet bomb them with cocaine smoke bombs filled with opium or cocaine or something.

Personality is one of the most extensive so far. I'm not sure if I like that opening line of prose, but it sets the stage for a description of her feelings on her present situation, her goals, her immediate desires and her passions. I like that she's a woman more or less in control of her sexuality, who knows what she's looking for in partners. There's a sense of taste at play here.

Her backstory is very extensive. The opening three paragraphs set the stage of the kasatha race and their place in the world, although I'm not sure if this is what the player and GM came up with together or what they came up with on their own. The rest is her journey from eager young girl to hardened rebel fighting a one-woman quest against the people who killed her family. I'd almost honestly recommend changing Gunslinger to Vigilante with how much it would fit the character who constantly changes masks and identities in pursuit of her goals, although seeing someone play a 'slinger at all is also nice.

With how much text is here, my main recommendation would be to run through the text and just clean up paragraphs. I feel like a lot is said here, but it could do with a drop in wordcount to spare the GM and other players.

>Appeal: 4/5, a stylish four-armed gunslinger who keeps her pistols in a garter.
>Backstory: 4/5, it's huuuge but good. A little cleaning and it might be as perfect as a lewd memegame app can get.
>Compatibility: 4/5, fills out select skill monkey niches and there's no personality traits that would be party deal-breakers. She's missing heals, teamwork or buffs to be a perfect 5/5. But: guns for everyone!
>Sexual Violence: 4/5, literally a prostitute and she has actual sexual and romantic preferences listed. She's not very villainous or selfish though, just someone who sleeps around to pay for her assassination hobby.

Plus outside of one bloodline and one arcane school casters have piss poor initiative support.

Even fighters have better support. Unless you're dreamspun or a divination wizard a fighter with Trained Initiative has a leg up on you because they DO have the feats lying around for improved. God forbid they're an eldritch guardian with a hare familiar.

Or, crazy this, just a dex based character. A dex based character will likely shit on a caster's initiative unless they specifically are built for it via their school/bloodline.

Western tropes are anti personality basically. The backstory I had detailed the life of this outlaw who turns his life around after getting caught. The issue was revenge is pretty one dimensional.

>My main problem is again how this only applies at lower levels. At higher levels a caster is probably going to be tending to his yak farm on Andrew's Demiplane and have 9001 backup lives.
By "lower levels" you mean "before level 13" when casters can first begin getting Create Demiplane. Spontaneous don't get it till 14.

The vast majority of humanoids in any sane setting exist below level 12. If you're hunting a level +13 plus caster then who ever is hunting him is going to have a fair amount of support on their end as well.

Also clones takes MONTHS to grow.

If your wizard is tending yaks then why the fuck am I hunting them in the first place and not content to leave him in his demiplane he apparently never leaves?

Really these situations of "every wizard lives in a demiplane with 1000 clones" are fucking retarded.

Because the yaks are actually humans.
>>
>>52737599

I blame the original guides that name wizards "GOD", the silver bullet wizards don't exist and are largely over stated in their usefulness.

Divination/foresight being too strong is a pretty easy fix, just ban them, no one gives a shit about actually specializing in divination spells anyway.
>>
>>52737588
Yeah. Cijiska's got 'A PC would want to be in a party with her' down solidly, but could work a bit more on 'a player would want to read a story about her'.
>>
>>52737619
>If you had The Power then why the fuck wouldn't you?
Clone requires you to be 15th level minimum and spend 1kgp a pop.

If I am a 15th level martial and I am hunting a caster I'll just go buy a scroll of planeshift, pop in invisible (and I don't show up on other senses because I took the feats for that), and knock the wizard out with merciful weapons. He's now unconscious and I shove drugs down his gullet until he can't cast spells then I put him in a crate.

But really at 15th level you've entered into the realm where "can destroy settings" levels of power exist.

>>
People posting for Overlewd are going to be dissapointed, monster classes are hilariously fucked in balance. Just look at ghoul, level 2 and you have 3 attacks with paralyze on hit. You can combine that with an initiator, and then have level 9 casting on your ghoul side.

I'm sure Sleep will claim he can balance things somehow but this just seems like an utter nightmare.
>>
>>52737781
Level 1 starts should honestly only be a char sheet and nothing else cause let's face it, chances are good any character you write will die in the the first or second round of actual combat of session 1. Meaning you're going to have to make up a new character on the fly with a whole new character sheet.

There's a reason it's called Rusty Dagger Shank Town.

Salacia is the casu marzu of meta builds. A variant punchgirl punchgirl dexfag, mixing it up with a spiritualist archetype that specialists in ectoplasm extrusions and a focus on legs. I like legs. Her strength and charisma scores are literally crippled, making her vulnerable to enervate and Str/Cha damage. She has no useful skills to speak of except for being a passable observer-type character, which limits her out of combat applicability.

Her personality is all there, and I'm vulnerable to weird creepy girls so I find her quite appealing. My only concern is that beyond being traumatized and slow to trust, and absolutely vindictive towards the people who crippled her and caused her to experience psychic awakening.

Why does she have no interest in material goods? What does she like? Who are her family, her associates? Is she just some crazed solitary guttersnipe who hasn't spoken to a person in weeks? Lots of questions un-answered.

PoW is incredibly cancerous. Everybody whines about full casters, but full casters don't get half the shit PoW does. Warder, Stalker and Warlord are 10x better just without the maneuvers, and they can actually be worked into a normal game of Pathfinder instead of relying on everything else from DSP to continue to make them broken.

I'm sure the gaggle of DSP dickriders will come to whiteknight that garbage system though, but if any of them play 'lewd' characters their opinions don't matter in the first place.
