I think you'd be surprised. I think you'd be very surprised. Also Rumble will be drained because no IVs and can't mask his roids. No brain fluid. Bader never missed weight and has secret collegiate weight cutting techniques. Bader will heem him.
What the fuck is a "memefighter"
Either Rumble unloads with an H-Bomb of a punch and KOs Bader or Bader trains intelligently and grinds his way to a decision victory by pushing his takedown and cardio advantage. Either way this isn't going to be a war.
Bader looked pretty decent striking wise in his last outing, keeping Rashad flustered for the entire fight with those constant lead hand hooks and jabs as Rashad tried to close, and those sneaky lancing uppercut with his power hand when he had the initiative.
However, I'd still bet on Rumble.
What's the most JUST fight and aftermath you've ever seen. Excluding Aldo v. Conor, Zingano v. Ronda or Ronda v. Holm. For me it has to be Chris Cariaso v. Mighty Mouse.
>show up at staredown in baggy suit look like a little boy trying on your dad's clothes
>this is the only time you're seen on Embedded
>you don't even get to talk on camera
>be the biggest underdog in UFC history (I think)
>just BTFO easily
>show up to post fight presser
>be wearing shitty baggy suit
>don't get asked a single question because Conor is there
>Conor going on about making a fuck ton of money
>meanwhile you got paid like 12/12
>now you're the ultimate journeyman and will probably get cut soon
I do construction. I have a mohawk. Today, the plumber says "Hey nice haircut." And before I could say thanks, he says "Are you gonna make it look like conor mcgregor?" I couldnt fucking believe it. I said "fuck no. fuck conor. I wanted Aldo to win." Then the dude tried to imply that aldo got paid to take a dive and so then I was like fuck this goof and went back to doing what I was doing. Then later he found me and we got to talking ufc. He mentioned how it's rare to come across other fight fans. This is an older latino dude, I'd say mexican but he was pretty dark. And I say old like 40s.
Anyways tl;dr met a fight fan on the job. We had a pleasant conversation. Remember to like and subscribe to my blog.
>keeping Rashad flustered for the entire fight
While that's definitely true you can't forget that that was Rashad's first fight in 2 years. He didn't look like his usual self, and he remained flustered like you said the entire fight
Gus is going to be champ as all the competiteon will leave anyways, DC is retireing soon, Jones is moving up, and even though I think he would take Rumble in a rematch Rumble is leaving soon aswell.
REAL Fight Fans prefer the technical excitement of the most technical division mighty mouse and the flyweights they're just so technical every fight is like a university course in how to technically fight
lel, might as well leave it anyway
He does construction so he probably has a lot of male buddies.
It's gonna hurt him if he's still holding on to his spot in FW since he won't have the ability to get bigger without putting his FW cut in danger. If he's gonna go up he should commit to it.
Most attractive girl I've ever met was a 6'3" basketball player. It was only an inch but I'm not used to meeting girls taller than me. I jerked off to the thought of her for days.
>niggers cant play the race card against irish because irish are white niggers
to be fair Mayweather brought up Conor first.
>tfw even Mayweather is talking about Conor
What's Floyd complaining about?
"I support black Americans first" - Floyd Mayweather
Of course the white Irish support the white Irish first.
Conor should have just ignored Mayweather on that.
>tfw niggers cant use the muh oppression card on McGregor
Irish people were treated like shit for generations by the english then they came to america to be treated like shit by the kkk.
none of you niggers ever watch gangs of new york
i wonder how blacks rationalize saying all "Euro-Americans" have been evil oppressors when they read about the various Irish massacre sites, Germans getting beaten up, stabbed, churches burned, forced to change names, etc. They should focus on the real enemy - the eternal Anglo
>Simulated death match
>ref there to stand you up if there's no longer any action
>rounds with breaks in between
>rules against eye gouging and biting
Faber is literally a retard
WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME
some people dont know when to stop m8
Floyd Mayweather, don't ever bring race into my success again. I am an Irishman. My people have been oppressed our entire existence. And still very much are. I understand the feeling of prejudice. It is a feeling that is deep in my blood.
In my family's long history of warfare there was a time where just having the name 'McGregor' was punishable by death.
Do not ever put me in a bracket like this again.
If you want we can organise a fight no problem.
I will give you a fair 80/20 split purse in my favour seen as your last fight bombed at every area of revenue.
Can we take a second and talk about how great Dan "Heterosexual Freddie Mercury" Severn is?
Actual Irishman here:
>My people have been oppressed our entire existence.
hyperbole - oppression is a part of irish history, but the entirety? doubt it m8
>And still very much are
basically entirely bollocks unless you live in a rough area of belfast
>I understand the feeling of prejudice. It is a feeling that is deep in my blood.
the likelihood that he was discriminated against on a regular basis over his nationality is very slim, especially having grown up in potatoland with the rest of us
>In my family's long history of warfare there was a time where just having the name 'McGregor' was punishable by death.
dunno what he's on about here. maybe the tans didn't like mcgregors or some shite
As an Irishman you ought to be well aware of the international small man syndrome ireland has, where unless you're saying ultra nice things about the country, then you're oppressing it.
Irish people have a reputation for being friendly and sincere. This is of course, a generalisation, but I've been told this by people who moved to live here and shit, so I don't think it's necessarily empty compliments.
There will always be people who aren't nice to tourists, and North Americans have a stereotype here of being the kind of tourist "visiting to explore their Irish roots", which gets plenty of eye-rolls.
>Is it a place worth seeing?
I dunno to be honest, maybe it's interesting from the perspective of an outside. If you do come, visit Dublin, it's got the most shit to do from a tourist's perspective
>As an Irishman you ought to be well aware of the international small man syndrome ireland has, where unless you're saying ultra nice things about the country, then you're oppressing it.
Dunno about that desu senpai, some people like to get emotionally fired up from reading about the country's historically shitty past and pretend that it's still tangibly relevant today
That said, fuck Cromwell and god bless Michael Collins
Since people are talking about movies how is Making a Murderer? Which isn't a movie. I was listening to the Schaubcast and Brenda gave it the Onnit approval. Also Michael Rappaport called Bryan Callen faggot fuck face piece of shit when he said he watched it.
I'm not all that deep into religion breh, but St. Brigit is pretty dope because we got to make those crosses out of rushes in primary school and that was a bit of craic innit
I bet you were hoping I'd say Patrick and then do the big "HE WAS WELSH/BRITISH" reveal, but I'm such a sly cunt that I saw it a mile away
“It’s a fighter that we truly believe we can beat,” he said. “He’s coming from a lower division, and he can be sure that he’ll face a strong champion who will not change his style. McGregor has already proven to be a great athlete, but we have five rounds to beat him and Rafael is coming in hungry to beat him, not only physically but spiritually, and to break his soul inside the Octagon. I bet Rafael will finish him in a brutal way, the same way he has finished his last fights."
>where were you when the meme died?
mcgoobers luck has ran out and it's over, he's done and all of you will witness it.
the meme isn't over until connor's head clatters on the canvas
Indians would wreck shit if they got good mho, there are so many lanky Dhalsims over there.
china will get good fighters when they stop believing in voodoo and approach training with the same methodological rigor they do, say, weightlifting. which will only happen if mma becomes more popular and brings international prestige.
japs have lost all fire and the only ones who fight are losers.
koreans are willing to learn and adapt. better diet and strength and conditioning. culture is more confrontational/combative.
It took Conor 32 months to go from 0-0 in the UFC to the champ
11 of those were recovering from knee surgery
So it took him 21 months of fighting, it would have taken 17 months had Aldo not pussied out of UFC 189
Conor fought 7 times in 21 months or once every 3 months
yeah Korea is producing some tough as balls fighters right now.
Like I said they're pretty big into wrestling.
The arabs are even big into MMA specifically. There are a lot of rich arab royals funding big MMA gyms in America just because they're rich and like the sport.
the cult of personality around him will come tumbling down if he loses, just like with Rousey
people hyped her up endlessly before the fight and hated her after
mcgregor also has a much more easily hateable personality, and he's built his reputation on talking and backing it up
It depends entirely on how RDA plays it. If Conor can get in his head and taunt RDA into a striking match then Conor has an honest chance, he's just so damn good on his feet. On the other hand if RDA plays it smart and looks to expose Conor's weaknesses (mainly the ground game and major pressure from his opponent) when they come into play then RDA could take it.
Smart money is on RDA but it was the same for Aldo so I'm not confident anymore.
I think people have constructed this idea that RDA is an unstoppable tank, but personally I think that he can be clipped and dipped if he fights an opponent he is wise to his methods of pressure. Conor's lancing left, long body kicks, and pristine movement... it's gonna be interesting.
why aren't you playing punch club /heem/ you'd love this game
i just heemed my first opponent feelsgooodman
True shit. Also fucking hell that jersey in the background.
>you now realize Pettis hasn't fought since RDA broke his face
Christ, it's a good thing for the UFC that he and Aldo were unseated. They can get more than 2 title fights per year out of those divisions.
inb4 RDA gets injured again
>more easily hateable personality
Yeah but it's clear to anyone who's not a tool that it's just an act. He's classy after the fight whereas Ronda talked proper shit and got banged
>anyone who's not a tool
the casuals that buy into hypetrains like mcgregor and rousey unquestioningly are the people that Dana is trying to target with these meme superstars
and they leave as soon as the fighters get exposed
The energy around 194 was pretty interesting, in hindsight. It really felt like Conor was just there to get it over and done with, to close the Aldo chapter; and he was totally at peace and zen about the whole affair. Not the same crazy man that we saw at 189.
Is there anything a fighter can do to strengthen their chin to prevent things like this? It must be fucking embarrassing to spend months training for a fight only to go out in one punch.
194 was beautiful in its own way, not to mention chock full of memes.
Fuck both of you it was. The only people happy with a 13 second KO were McGregor fans who'd rather see a man talk about fights than see the actual fights happen. There's a reason Lawler MacDonald was fight of the year and not McGregor Aldo. People want wars.
Though to take the wind out of myself, every other part of 194 was fucking brilliant. The Weidman Rockhold and Souza Romero fights were fucking fantastic. I was just damn disappointed by Mcgregor Aldo.
It was disappointing that it was 13 seconds but also awe-inspiring
The main card in general was nice
Gunnar-Maia was a grappling clinic even if it was one-sided, fun to watch
Rockhold-Boy was fun to watch, surreal to see Weidman get thrashed in the end like he did
The prelims and fight pass were fun to watch too
If they're sentient enough to understand the concept of war, surely they can figure out what a knee does. Also, those other parts are fairly easy to protect well since we don't need them for movement or anything. Knees are the biggest meme of them all
clearly he was terrified that he didn't have proper fitted attire.
>5 guys w/ burgers and fries
>week before UFC 197
>break into mcmansion
>consume burgers and fries
>ski masks on
>conor is practicing mewvment in the library
>conor duct taped to a chair
>shave the beard
>lulz were had
>no homosexual acts this night
Does Conor cancel or fake an injury?
Rin is weird.
>too huge for SW
>is small enough height wise for SW
>nowhere near as skilled as anyone in SW or BW
>making weight again without USADA or IVs
She hasn't fought in a year and a half I think. I don't think she'll be back.
> Alvey throwing up his hand in a "now see here!" gesture while trying to escape
It also often happens when two orthodox fighters both throw right hands. One throws a straight right, the other ducks there head down and to the side avoiding the straight right and coming in with an overhand.
Chad beat Lamas doing that, and then Chad got caught by Frankie with that.
It's effective, but a bit surprising that such a basic move is so effective in pro-fighting. Conor mocked Chad for doing it, but it really works.
I'd say it has to do a lot with the fatigue of a fight. It's easy to get tired and forget to keep your hands up while it's also not very hard to through a wild punch like that so it's pretty low effort for high reward late in the rounds. Guys who get caught with it early though are just schlubs.
>Lawlers face as he pummels him
Holy shit he looks like a literal war machine. So strange watching that and then the recent Embeddeds where he's just fishing with his son and shit
>If I decide to take Jon Jones down 100 times, I will take him down 100 times
> caring about non-combat sports
"Wow, this guy can kick a ball into a net really well...so useful, I'd much rather be able to do that than be able to destroy people with my bare hands"
I just want Jones to come back soon and make DC cry again
Less embarrassing because wrestling doesn't prepare you to defend off a cage and when you're in a position like that with a guy strong enough he's just going to take your legs whether you like it or not.
Still though Jones is a fucking animal. I want to see him pull a Conor and defend a belt at LHW and HW at the same time.
Nate and Nick both have this unyeilding faith in their boxing ability.
They're good, but they make some dumb decisions in sticking to it when it isn't working and Nate in particular takes a lot of damage to his legs because he refuses to deviate.
In his last fight it worked in his favour, but it could easily have gone the other way.
I agree. I like them both but Nate would be a cocky fool to rely on his boxing against McGregor and not try to use some of his other skills like his Jits. Unfortunately for Nate I think he's exactly that kind of cocky fool. I'd call it to a decision in Conor's favor where Nate tries to rush the mic and swear into it about how he was robbed while Rogan does his best to bat him away.
I wouldn't care if they made basketball illegal, other sports are boring to me, I could not care less
Everything pales in comparison to the excitement of mixed martial arts fighting
>if they made basketball illegal
Do you even understand the purpose of basketball? Take the ball away and what the fuck are they gonna do? Rape your mother, that's what you cheeky cunt.
The reasoning has been around long before Rogan realized it and made a joke.
