finding the homeowners who installed these and the people who rent their properties should narrow the list down to not more than a few thousand names, and if just one of those names pops up on a list, or correlates to another aspect in the evidence then theyre fuct, plain and simple. find the shower. i have had no luck but i know its a matter of time. the more eyes on this the better, and the more search terms we use the easier it will be. check listings that are selling these items as used, since it looks like at least a pre-2010 era design and the manufacturers wouldnt be advertising these anymore on their main pages.

I don't think it's a car at all, I think it's an optical illusion, it looks more like pine needles / twigs from the trees in the foreground.

I think 12 might be an aerosol air freshener. Can't find a matching bottle for north american air fresheners.

Could that be a mirror behind the boot in the first pic, and that's why it looks like a pair?

That thing predates fibre optics, it looks like a Bakelite switch, so something old, actually looks like a variable transformer of some sort.

The flower shit looks like box of potpourri.

i'm almost certain that the black box is indeed a fiber optic light engine. the 'lens' at the front is actually a rotating button, allowing for increase/decrease in brightness of the internal light (also note the white dot on the button). the 'ring' on top is not an actual ring, it's where you put the fiber optic thingy into. you can also see around the white dot some grooves for grip when rotating.

note the black cable as well, indicating a static object that requires constant power. ontop of that the europol site itself says it was located on a nightstand. that alone makes it highly likely a light source. go ahead and google fiber optic christmas trees. they always have two parts. the bottom light source (the box) and the tree itself which contains the fiber optic stuff (you plug that into the hole in the middle.

the real problem is that judging by the quality its probably very old and maybe even locally made (non-brand) which would make it unlikely you'll find a copy somewhere else on the internet.
