Before I start discussing my argument, I need to say that I am a gun loving American. Born and raised in a Republican family, I cherish the 2nd Amendment. Even though I love that the 2A grants me the privilege to own all the firearms I have, I am not arrogant enough to say that the 2A is perfect, because it isn't. It's about time that we made some common sense changes to it, because it is 2017 and not the 1700s anymore. The changes I want to make are reasonable and do not infringe upon our right to own and bear firearms.

Change #1 - Complete and total ban on assault weapons. I have owned firearms for over 3 decades, and never once have I owned an assault weapon because no one needs one. My pistols and long guns are more than enough for self defence, hunting, and militia purposes. The only people who use assault weapons are those who commit mass shootings. We could eliminate our immense gun problem by banning all assault weapons.

Change #2 - Restrict clip sizes to a maximum of 10 bullets. No one needs more than 10 bullets loaded into their gun at one time. Really think about it. One well placed shot is all it takes to kill an animal or human being. Why do people need 30 bullet clips? The only people who use them are mass shooters looking to cause a large amount of bloodshed. This would be very helpful in eliminating our gun problem.

Change #3 - Mandatory extreme vetting for all those wanting to purchase a firearm. I'm talking about extensive background checks, mental health and IQ testing, etc. This way only the most competent, and law abiding citizens would be able to own guns. This would also help to eliminate our countries gun problem.

All these changes are really geared towards solving the huge gun problem that our country faces. I feel that they are very realistic and would not infringe on the 2nd Amendment which I love very much.

The fact westerners can't understand chinese culture is astoundish.
They clearly scream: "muh human rights" whenever china overtake them by hard work.

the fact china already took all the countries with their commodities (africa, middle east, latinoamerica) is even more funny seeing the white people crying about colonization and africas telling whites to fuck off.

Reminder that patent laws create abusive monopolies intentionally. End the patent system, and you'll be able to buy a high end CPU for $25. Arguments in favor of patents are usually emotional arguments concerning individuals, but the proposed policies end up helping very few individuals at the expense of helping huge populations.

We profit from other people's ideas all the time. You can't possibly avoid it. Ideas are non-rivalrous. You can't "use up" an idea and prevent others from using it. Look no further than open source software for examples.

Businesses have every incentive to improve their systems. Businesses even improve open source projects they use.
The first producer always has a natural window of monopoly, and if his prices are low enough, he has a chance to extend this window.
Currently, we have patent races, where it's actually made more expensive to innovate. If someone else beats you to the patent, you can't even recoup your research costs.

>What if you need your idea protected?
It's not the role of the government to protect the secrets of private citizens. Public protection of private secrets creates moral hazard: people are less careful because they can externalize their carelessness onto taxpayers.
An individual inventor can be protected from manufacturers by private contract law. Private law, bonds, and private arbitration possess sufficient mechanisms to do this.
Exclusivity agreements and cartels can approximate a "soft" patent system without the use of force.

About AlertSense:
They produce technology for government organisation such as FEMA for an alertsystem for ie. in case of missing children.
Silsby on the otherhand was found guilty for childtrafficing of 33 children, trying to smuggle them out of haiti and came out without any charges except for the time in jail she already was in while waiting for trial. (more about both in pic related)
