As someone who grew up fundamentalist evangelical, became agnostic/apathetic and tried to read about all kinds of different philosophies and religions, from gnosticism to Satanism to existentialism to Buddhism to Judaism to objectivism to national socialism to egoism to...(etc, etc, etc) traditional Catholicism is the most /comfy/ redpill.

In my limited understanding, natural reason points us towards God, but only asymptotically. In your heart, you must admit that you are finite, and that you do not know everything. Or at least, that was what I had to do, and to humble myself. I started going to a mass near my house, and just sat and watched the people, asking for clarification and help when I needed it, and people were always happy to tell me what was going on. While I really like Jordan Peterson, and he is accurate in some respects about the psychological significance of certain Christian teachings, as well as his very interesting and learned understanding about the evolutionary development of the human body (including the mind), he is still trying to get people to fix themselves, rather than humble ourselves and admit that we cannot save our own soul.

I do not have a full understanding of the Catholic tradition, but everything that /pol/ is on point about is said more profoundly by the Catholic Church. Degeneracy, kikes, family, tradition, hierarchy, communism, monarchy, all of it was articulated by the Church, and within the framework of the Church. I came to realize that I wanted everything that the Church was offering, without humbling myself, and it has been a gradual process of accepting that I am not the end-all-be-all, and trusting Jesus when he said that he would send the Holy Spirit to guide his followers into all truth.
