What should I eat tomorrow?
Pizza? a stupidly expensive steak? a kebab maybe?
Get a gyro. Been jonesing for a gyro lately
>KLX parked outside for a few daysbecause needed room in the garage for Jeep
>Been pretty cold at night
>Just now remembered that it doesn't have antifreeze in it, just distilled water and water wetter
>Drain the coolant because it's supposed to get down to 28 degrees tonight
That could have been bad. Didn't notice damage from the last couple cold nights so hopefully it's fine.
getting ready for paint.
welp dbt I had a terrible day
I'll go to the supermarket get some pizza and beer
can I get you guys anything? has to fit on a backpack.
I don't know why but I always assumed dual radiator setup ran in series.
Tomorrow I'll check if there's space to run the hoses, then I'll just have to find out what the correct operating temperature should be
a big bore kit pls
or the engine of a WR 250
Sounds good. Might be underused. Do an oil change first of all
Reminder to ride your bikes and go do bad things
Yes, but the thermobob is a radiator bypass some autist thought up for the KLR, turns out most bikes lack it.
It's not a big deal if you flog your bike all the time in a hot environment, but at lower temperatures when you commute it gets important, Especially with two radiators that can cool water much more
what does that have to do with either of that m8
tfw no A2
well if you read the Motorradonline test, you should see that it is pretty solid.
Now that I think about it, I will look if there are some for sale, seems like a gud A2 biek.
>the KLR comes with a thermostat factory
>The thermostat does the job of a thermobob.
The thermobob is a modification of the cooling system.
The mod proper is just the bypass hose, but you put in a different thermostat without a bleed hole (because it's not needed anymore leading to faster warmup) and different temperature rating (since the flow is different and there's a much better control on the coolant temperature)
At least is what I was referring to with thermobob
too bad the only thing KTM kept from Husky is the design department they could have done a better job on that bike
>also Marzocchi front, sachs back and brembo all around
sounds expensive desu
ayyy they even have 500 and 300cc and supermoto versions, didn't knew that.
6k euros for a new one is pretty much the price.
I can see it helping but I see it more as another coolant hose to burst or get punctures and a bunch of fittings to leak. I don't have a thermostat in my XR right now so it runs cool, but I have more problems keeping it cool when riding than the opposite.
god damn. to the anon who posted the SWM, fuck you. Now I want to look at one in person and I guess I will do so tomorrow.
There are two dealers in about 1 hour drive away from me, guess it's time to sit on some bikes.
the XT 660 also has two mufflers. Maybe it helps for the A2 because it has a kW/KG limit, thus more (removable) weight will make the power which you will get written down in your papers higher.
Dunno, despite all the horror stories I never had any problem with liquid cooling, I'd rather have the engine operating at proper temperature. Probably will wait a little more to see how it behaves.
I'll never get it either
Promised pics of the new exhaust mockup
The problem in that idea is that the other muffler is routed completely independently to the other and runs from the other out valve, and stamping out a second muffler is more expensive than say... Attaching a brick to the rear fender
Have to wait for a month or two, I need to finish the engine and weld the midpipe.
can you try and mount them so they face a little outwards? I think they'd look better
mockup sounds. which means he sitting on the bike and making vrroom noises
let's all buy one and make a swm rs 650 gang
Will make one later in the spring, right now I have the exhaust unwelded and the valvetrain torn apart.
Could do that, too, will see when I get to actually installing them.
they sell factory new ones for 6k at my local dealer
I'd be kind of up for it 2bh
>ears fold over every time i put my helmet on
>more than you can afford, pal.
I wonder if they would let me testride, too, even if I have no A2 lel :^)
The Supermoto seat is 10mm higher than the enduro seat, but the enduro has 10mm more ground clearance, what kind of magic is this?
Enduro also weights less.
I hope you have an action cam.
alright guys, 3 options:
1. sell my car and buy an old-timer (BMW 325, Audi 80, Mercedes W123)
2. Sell my car, keep the money and live motorbike only
3. Keep my car and ride my motorbike on the weekends
Advice is appreciated
keep car, keep motorcycle.
pic related is Enduro RS 340, has a BMW prototype engine (a non Husqy engine)
>I hope you have an action cam
ne, but i have a couple of friends that have gopros. really would have been useful in hechlingen
>mfw i'd have a gopro
well my mum has a VW t5, i guess i could ask her if i could borrow it if i ever needed to haul stuff
hm, i might have to find someone that can trade it in
i mean you could say my car might actually qualify as a shitbox
>keep car, keep motorcycle.
that's what my instincts and my wallet say, but my heart tells me otherwise
Nah man i was thinking Renault Twingo, Fiat Seichento shitbox to keep the running costs as low as possible...
Damn and i want to buy BMW...
Don't listen to me man... I am full of shit...
Why the fuck i cannot give myself advice like that?!
No it was great
my car is a 01 VW Bora, which is like the epitome of a pensioners car
and even worse, it's wrong wheel drive
ayy lmao get a Seicento
niggu get some of your friends to lend you a GoPro, I want to see that stuff.
here's some stuff about SWM
You should feel good my man
Yea man, that is a car for pensioners...
Get a E36 compact 1.6 M43 engine and you will be good to go.
AYY they are expensive as SHIT here in Siberia...
I am after this meme car. I am harassing /o fagots for 3 days with it..
RS650R also survived the "HardAlpiTour" (no clue what the actual fuck this is) without problems, and the Handugards, Skid plate and rear luggage mount fits from the TE 630
it is also said that the aftermarket parts of the TE should fit (exhaust for example) and that the plastics should also fit.
kek it's you that's posting the Ayy lmao BMW
I was looking into them, too, before buying my Punto, but people were talking shit about the engine and >BMW part prices
if i'm gonna get another car i was hoping for something older than 1986 because i want to do oldtimer rallyes with it
>tfw no 3.0 csl
yeah... AYY LMAOO
It is a cool car, i like it for a good reason, it makes the BMW owners boil their piss and hate on me with all their might.
That car is out of the reach man...
You would be more likely to have Ferrari than that BMW
HEY SEM GUYS
what if we write SWM that we would love to take theri bike for longer test, then everyone of us gets thier favourite SWM model sponsored and rides to the SEM with it?
like for example one gets a Superdual and rides from thier home to the SEM location and then after SEM we all ride to norway, everything sponsored by SWM for "testing" thier bikes, and then we sell it as a report later and get mad dosh for it?
>or a sponsorship
thanks for the info m8
sounds pretty reasonable 10/10 would do
>we show how reliable and gr8 it is
>sell information report to motorcycle newspapers
>be ebin and get SEM payed
a man can dream
what the fugg >:-DDDD
>40 mins away
>american gets lost
cannot find it.
And it's old as shit... I need something comfy and snug like E46 interior
it's a bmw 2002 with a pretty ugly liberty walk. this is what it should look like originally. unfortunately, people love to hack those up for whatever reason
i also saw a pretty cool offroad version at the essen motorshow
Hey man I would really appreciate it you could maybe keep a look out for this R6? this was my bike got stolen back in november. I made a thread about it on the R6 forum ill try to find it and link it here. Theres a cash reward
Heres the link:
>feels like a twofidlly
well those were 2 strokes after all, and i'm pretty sure they weighed less than the average american back then. well to be fair, so does the new SWM
Its probably in pieces by now. Or at least painted. I dont think the theifs are stupid enough to ride it around but you never know haha. I can identify all the parts on her i did all the work on that bike and i remember every nick. Theres the list of mods and all on the thread.
I really appreciate it. It seems like a gang going around stealing bikes. In november i heard of many many new bikes getting stolen. And my bike was stolen along with a 2014 white cbr1000rr. Its terrible the amount of theft here in florida
>want to ride around on a little 2 stroke for funs near my town.
>place I live won't allow chainsaw noise in morning
>work is also 30mi away, too far for brrraaaaaaaaaaap
>>place I live won't allow chainsaw noise in morning
>land of the free
did you mean shitbox? seriously those you mentioned seem very cool if you're poor but as soon as you have some money going they're just another shitbox (or lets say shitbox 2.0 one step ahead of things like the twingo, clio,..). source, drove an audi 80, friend of mine a w123 when we were students.
voting no. 3.
keep your current car, I think that's the fastest way to save up for a really decent bike/car.
cars that are older than 30 years are considered "old timers" here in germany. you pay less insurance and less tax for it. and those were just the ones i found while researching.
Aight man. Just saying they make a very decent first car but if you already have one (bora?) or are not enthusiastic about the car itself for what it is don't bother and save up like 5k for something really nice if you're just looking for an upgrade.
Amerifat is Amerifat

>drive big pick up truck or any other big car
>drive 2 hours to nearest shop
>go shopping really big
>like get month worth of groceries
>don't bother for 3 weeks
Maybe midwest/fly over country?
In the more civilized states we don't really do that.
Do Eurofags think that American is the same coast to coast?
Everywhere that isn't in the Northeast or West Coast is pretty shitty, don't go there.
Everything not highlighted in, is exactly what you think of when you think of America.
Highlighted areas are atleast somewhat civilized.
>being so rude to post uncensored stuff on worksafe board
I went through the trouble of editing and cutting the Futachu stuff I post in here because I don't want to attract trouble
anyone here owns an inazuma f?
I think I'm getting this bike come spring, I'm wondering about the stock tires. are they shit?
I'm gonna use it for commuting/city driving in one of the most crowded and traffic dense cities in europe
I'm also considering er6f or an er-5 but gas is really expensive here (approx 1.5€ per liter) so I'm not quite sure
dont recommend sv650 please, dont have it in my country
yeah I live in a shithole
>I'm white! I'm white! Believe me! Please!
It's Friday night guys, why aren't you slaloming lane markers?
leaning all the way off is more cool these days ever since motoGP got stonered
>go downstairs to ask mothers opinion on the noise my front brake makes

>get this feeling of gratitude
>take a step back and slowly lock the bars, take the key out
>I lean over and hug said biku
I love my motorcycle. Alot.
>Murcia trucks walmart guns
America's not like that
Hell the anti-murica shit used to be funny. Now it's like a comic that keeps traveling but tellin the same damn jokes.
I've owned one for 6 months, it is a great commuter but it tops out at 80mph. Not even joking, it is damn near out of breath at 75.
It is a great bike for my non highway commuting though, FI makes warming up more of an issue to get the oil warmed up.
The bolts on the body work like to get loose and dealing with the plastic & tank to check is a bit of a pain because of the FI and the way some of the tubes are routed.
Solid bike, people ask what it is at gas stations, Chinese immigrants are surprised to see it because it is made & sold over there.
That is right, it is made in China and sold there and here in the US.
However, my bitch is that it is pretty heavy and the stock mirrors are pretty useless to see what is behind you.
>it tops out at 80mph. Not even joking, it is damn near out of breath at 75.
like most non sport 250
>it is made in China
I heard some of them are made in japan, also the new tu250x look like shit and i bet it's because of china.
screws for studding tires were not aquired this week. i think im gonna go try my luck on ice anyways
>like most non sport 250
A Ninja 250 and CBR250 are not sports bikes. They are well disguised standards with aerodynamic fairings. I will say that I bought the GW250 over used CBR250s and Ninjas because I wanted a FI bike that had a SOHC, little vibration and naked styling, it was also 1kUSD cheaper then a new CBR.
However, if FI and fairing weren't an issue, wanted a commuter bike I could take over a mountain highway, I would have gotten a CBR or GS500.
Hoping somebody could point me in the right direction.
I have a 2008 wr250x.
I recently filled the air in my tyres back up because they had leaked about 8 psi from sitting. Since then, I've found that when riding there is a small, but noticeable, bump coming from one or both of my tyres. I feel as if it's the front tyre but it's hard to discern.
It's consistent in nature, which lead me to think it was something in the tyre. I've thoroughly checked front and back to no avail.
I am running my tyres on 28psi front and back, so to test I deflated my tyres back to 20psi. The bump remained, so I reinflated them.
It doesn't go away after riding for x amount of time and I can't notice it during corners.
Any ideas? I feel like the tyres might be fucked which would not be too bad because they're getting replaced when I can afford it.
put it on blocks or a bucket or just lay it over or tip it up on the kickstand. its not a big bike.
you want to spin it with the bike static so you can see irregularities a lot easier
His reasons when I asked him
1. Road speeds are for the most part 45 MPH from our house to his workplace. The highest is 55 MPH and it's only for a few miles.
2. Huge tuning community of autistic faggots who drop thousands into an already overpriced bike that's basically just a manual transmission scooter dressed up like a streetfighter.
3. He's a manlet and likes small bikes.
4. He has never owned a motorcycle and wants to start with something small.
Naw she was very busy
New forks that aren't rusted to shit and won't destroy 30 dollar fork seals in two days? Awesome!
I've just had a look. It appears to be even on both tyres.
Ok, I'll give that a shot next. I let my friend borrow my compressor so I will have to do that tomorrow.
Most of the stuff I've read recommends pressures in the 26-32 range for the bike. I've played around with pressures and found 28f 28r to be comfortable for the type of riding I do. I also don't really care about getting more mileage out of the tyres.
It has shinko's on it. SR740 front 741 rear. They're not fantastic tyres, I know, but they had enough tread when I bought to the bike to keep it going until I make some room in my budget for nicer ones.
is it used? if so, get off his ass. he'll learn he needs something bigger.
is it new? talk his ass into getting a used one. don't you fuckin' dare talk someone out of buying their first motorcycle, guide them to the one they want.
don't be a dick.
Does anyone know what this hand signal means? He did like the devil hand sign with the index finger down. First time seeing this hand sign in my 8 years of riding.
Fuck, I really don't want to hear that. I'm hesitant to ride my other bike because its valves are overdue along with an oil change. I would do the oil myself but I'm owed a free service so I would prefer to not have to pay for it.
Oh okay, I remembered seeing this hand sign in like middle school or some shit. Just looked it up and it means rock and roll? Why would someone throw up the rock and roll sign? Why not just give the deuces. wtf. Dude was riding like a squid.
Does anyone else play this? I just bought it a few months ago and have been having a ton of fun. The more you play the better you get and in tune with the machines.
I don't understand how having SOHC is going to provide and sort of benefit over DOHC in that situation.
>inb4 moar torks
SOHC by itself does not make an engine more torquey, that comes down to how the different components of the engine are tuned (camshafts, fuel mapping etc).
>tfw you drop you bike in the bush and it breaks
Yeah I have a motorcycle I have put about 15,000 miles on and how many hours have you spent on a real race track? Of course Tourist Trophy isn't as good as the real thing. But I guarantee I can navigate a race track in a simulator and IRL better than you. Buy the game and we can compare lap times.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my MSF course, and I’ve been involved in numerous group rides, and I have over 300 confirmed miles. I am trained in basic motorcycle maneuvers and I’m the top gamer in the entire /ovg/ thread. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my /ovg/ gamer friends and we will beat you in any video game track right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can beat you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my controller. Not only am I extensively trained in how to lean a bike, but I have access to the entire video game archive and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of /o/, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.
>how many hours have you spent on a real race track?
Dunno never counted them, a few?
>But I guarantee I can navigate a race track in a simulator and IRL better than you
Post your ninja 250
Do it , its fun as shit
I had to resist trying to cross the river full speed on the motoped but I know deep down it just wasn't thick enough
And I didn't have studs
>maybe in a week
m8, ive been riding for 4 years now and i dont count all my milles but last year i put 11,000 on my bike, i had 5 bikes in total and ive only been on 4 track days and i live relatively close to race track.
Just got a new helmet, Bell MX-9 Adventure for $75 off Motorcycle Superstore.
May may - 09 strikes again
Dude was riding way to fast for those conditions. Idiots always cross the double yellows on the 405. Especially in that area.
>I don't understand how having SOHC is going to provide and sort of benefit over DOHC in that situation.
It is a commuter bike that gets +1000 miles put on it a month, because it is a SOHC with 2 valves per cylinder, whenever I get in there I only have to do 4 valves instead of 8 or more.
SOHC aren't going to make a engine more torquey, but the bike is geared for lowend, and the SOHC helps and makes engine braking more effective.
Two times I might add, either side. Right hand side fairing is scratched up to fuck and missing a heap of paint. No front indicators either.
Oh well, I bought it cheap $3k and expected to drop the thing, so meh. Might just rattlecan it black.
>mfw thinking about doing 20 valve checks on a daily.
God bless locknuts
>tfw thread is dead
>tfw too icy to ride
I'm so bored /dbt/ help
Oh there is plenty of faggots riding their Harley's
We just don't like them, they are bought by cock suckers and bank managers as a status symbol.
>we can afford the bandwidth.
>Serbs don't spam fucking Harley...
>We are not that low..
im not harleyguy, faggot, plus serbs are pedophiles and killed innocent people.
>killed innocent people
Go to England and Murica and type that shit.
And yeah Catholic churches... Don't make me start on that shit.
tfw you try to remove kebab but accidentally your own countrymen
I keep telling the idiot to not post uncensored stuff
>ONLY IDIOTS RIDE MOTORCYCLES
Well he did start by drawing porn as a hobby
is it hard to diagnose engine problems if you havnt done any mechanical stuff at all?
just got my bike back since i can reapply for my license again after 3 long years.
im just sitting on it for hours on end making engine noises and pretending im leaning around corners witch sucks cos i can only do it on the stands side
Also reminder that the anime won't have the world's best hair
Did you lose your license?
Story? What bike? Are you going to take it easy this time? Why don't you get a scoot
>Why don't you get a scoot
a-are you calling me a faggot?!?!
got a hyosung 650gt crushed, it was one of the better learner approved bikes. i got i cheap and loved the hell out of it
trying to fix up mygs500 that i ran into the ground cos it was my im a retard and need to learn bike.
>be like 19-20
>learn to corner well and feel the gs500 is to basic
>buy a hyosung 650gt cos it was learner approved and fuel injected
>remove the performance restriction
>after work ride the bike like an aspy for around 6 hours every day at a mountain pass that had rely sharp corners
>recomended speed around corners 45km and i can go 140km in a single lane
>beat everyone that trys to race me on there r1, gsxr1000 and appilias
>start getting my knee to touch the ground so i thought
>all that made me fell like im the best shit ever cos i was a spud
>decide to step it up and fuck around on all roads
>try to go top speed all the time, worked out how to go over speed bumps at 100km and scrap the knee around most corners so i think im impressing bitches
ended up getting caught going 60km, 80km and 100km over the speed limit on highways going though towns, have to say it was nice having the car fags who cruze around bitches comment on how i was cool and that shit but i know i was a fag who just wannted to be cool and used reckless behavior to feel cool
you need to do stand ups I bet, put your left foot on the passenger peg and keep the right on the brake, when you pop it do a big ol' bounce down on to the rear brake to move the weight further back
Shiit. At least you're still alive m80
Me too, I really want to go hektik but I value my life somewhat so I limit myself to like 110km/h
I've ran wide on a right hand corner twice and now I really stay way below mine or the bike's limit.
Will the need for speed go away if I get a touring bike?
just test the fucken rev range ya spud, teast it at 1st gear on mid rev rang that doesnt work start moving up, also you do know that the back brake will put the front wheel back down nearly instantly if you use it
How? Looped it? Didn't set down with the front wheel straight?
i test the corners n shit first, like ill make a circuit out of corner i would use in my day to day ride then just do that getting faster and faster till i got good at them, i never whent around a corner i didnt know was safe first cos you know oil sliks and branches will kill ya.
fuck getting a touring bike or a harly sports bikes are the most fun.
also i dont care much for life so if i die on the only thing that makes me happy thats ok.
im afraid that im not going to be good anymore since it has been 3 years.
the first time i got caught they were doing a sting operation on speeders, they had cops in gillie suits sitting in a bush with radar guns and cameras and 2 cop cars up the road to block it if anyone was doing anything wrong
nah this one.
You can crank up the bitrate and resolution with scripts (it has the same internals as a gopro 3+ black) so I'm excited, should be decent quality for a 100 dollar meme cam
I have no idea, I'm just gonna fuck with it until i find a setting I like that is as good as possible without making it too hot, standard video quality without mods is perfectly adequate.
what do you mean? its an ok starter bike and beats a 250cc bike.
granted they are shit bikes but there not to bad for ppl who have never ridden a bike and needs to start off on somthing.
also they crushed the hysoung and not the gs500 so im stuck with it untill i get of my restrictions and bult my custom busa or by a r1 cos there cheap
well the main thing I want to fuck with anyway is basically ISO, I'm gonna go for 2.5k 23.976 FPS and limit the ISO to 100 or 200 and try and get some blurry cinematic shit when hitting the twisties
hard to find one that isnt trashed or doesnt cost a fortune
plus 250cc bikes cant do continual freeway travel of 150km all the time plus they dont have as much take off as a gs500
one of my mates had a ninja and he wouldnt keep up off the line plus it had wider tyers so you can lean the bike more then a 250
The GS500 has the exact same tires as a ninja 250 and leaner tires mean better handling
Really all that proves is your friend isn't as much of an idiot as you
GS500's are barely faster than Ninja 250's and have roughly the same top speed.
>plus 250cc bikes cant do continual freeway travel of 150km all the time
Bullshit, they don't magically explode if you sit at 9k revs for a couple of hours.
>plus it had wider tyers so you can lean the bike more then a 250
GS500s have the same tyre sizes (110/70 17 f, 130/70 17 r) as a Ninja 250.
Peg positioning dictates lean angle more than tyre width, otherwise supersports with 190 section rear tyres wouldn't turn for shit.
Side by did mine was fatter.
>needing better handling to compensate for your lack of skill
Id rather have the ability to go down deaper for the longer turns or do you just ride in a straight line?
It's cheap, inoffensive and not likely to break down unless it's been poorly maintained by the previous owner. It has no other redeeming features other than that so make of it what you will.
>pogo stick suspension
>1970's SOHC boat anchor of an engine
>early ones rust easily
>poor brakes (heard it's the lines but who knows)
>air cooled (in 2013)
>Whats wrong with air cooled
It's not as effective, specially in hot weather and if you end up sitting in traffic a lot,
also on long trips when you're riding for hours everyday the oil turns pretty much to water.
No, really. It's very light and narrow so you'll filter past literally everything, and it's fast enough to beat pretty much everything off the line. It's got more torque than a ninjette so it handles low revs better.unless yiur city has more potholes than asphalt, in which case crf250m
It's the lines, the discs and calipers are tge same used in 80's GSX-R and 90's-00's GSX-F but with only one disc and smaller M/C. GSX-F has spongy as fuck brakes, too, until you upgrade the lines to braided steel.
