Yes you're more likely to be injured in an accident, but you are far less likely to get into one in the first place. Look at all the fuckers who wreck because they were eating, chatting, putting on makeup, reading a book, fucking can't put down their phone for 2 seconds... You can't hardly do anything on a bike except drive.

Stats wise, most motorcycle accidents are single vehicle, as in motorcyclist crashed into something out of their own error.

Of those, about half are riding under the influence.

And most fatalities are due to no helmet.

So wear a helmet and other proper gear, get a taxi or stay somewhere if you've been drinking, take it easy in bad weather, don't zone out on long trips, pay attention to everyone around you, and your odds of getting fatally wrecked are almost nonexistent.

If you're not convinced, look at how low insurance rates are for bikes. Insurance companies follow statistics, not opinions. No matter how many soccer moms bitch about motorcycles being dangerous, the insurance companies would disagree and I'm sure they'd love to charge you more if they could.

If you spend all of your time worrying about crashing you will probably not have a great time, but it doesn't do any good to be overly worried about the possible crashes, you just have to be aware at all times. Now even simpler: Being a beginer at the time and had very shitty throttle/clutch control, when you combine being bad at both of these things, the bike stalls due to over-stressing the engine as it tries to take off, it's a combination of not giving the bike enough gas, and letting the clutch out either too fast or too slowly, you need a balance of both as you let off the clutch and roll on the gas so the engine has a smooth pick up from a stop.
