Currently listening to some Jenny Rom.
What is your favorite bubblegum dance group/album/song etc?
More generally, why did the genre die?
>He only listens to rap and pop music
Imagine there was a time your shitposting was ironic. You've been at it so long, it's chronic.

I know that every time a song gets played on the radio, the people who wrote the song get a little bit of money. Does this apply to satellite radio? What about streaming on Spotify or Apple Music?
Technically yes but the royalties from streaming services comes from paid subscribers and from the radio it comes from ad revenue.

It's less than pennies per play. It's a tiny tiny tiny amount that the streaming services keep trying to make smaller. It's really shit but there also isn't much money in streaming anyway.
Yes, satellite radio pays royalties just like terrestrial radio
Thoughts on Toro y Moi's new album?
I'm a fan of Toro y Moi and I thought this was lame as fuck.
Sounds like the same ol' chillwave shit but somehow even more derivative.
It was cool to see him evolve as an artist with releases like What For? and the Mattson 2 collab. He was becoming a stronger songwriter and maturing as an artist. It was really interesting and I was excited to see where he'd go next.
Boo Boo isn't necessarily offensively bad or anything, but just disappointing. It's a nothing album.
I need more old stuff to listen to
Today I got interested in both of these albums, which one should I listen to /mu/?

Both
Listen to all her albums in chronological order. Otherwise you won't really appreciate her best work.

Hounds of Love, Then the dreaming, then go chronological with the rest. You can skip The Red Shoes though.
insane track, great label !

ITT: The first album you ever purchased. Bought pic related on CD when I was 9 years old and it's still a great album, horribly underrated.

what makes a singer/songwriter interesting and successful?
his sense of business
killing himself
Personality. It's rare for me to not like a singer-songwriter's work and not be interested in them as a person, which isn't the case for other musicians and artists I like.
What?
