If Heart or Freeze used the Mach Driver it'd be fine, you'd have Mach and the Driver looking cool. But Brain was always either hammy evil or getting his shit kicked in, and that would reflect poorly on the coolness of the Driver.

I'd have phased out the dance teams as a main plot element. They'd be monster fruit gangs from the beginning. Team Gaim would be a former dance team, but it wouldn't be a general trend for all teams.

Yoko would become a female Duke after getting Ryoma's belt.

Micchy would get the infernal fruit thing from Reddue, and it'd be the reason for his boost against Kouta and Kaito, with the side effects only becoming apparent later.

After Kaito's death, Sagara would be the final boss. After being "defeated", it'd turn out that Kouta couldn't kill him, but, rather than just taking care of his planet, he'd actually go after Hellheim in an eternal quest through all world where it attempts to attack hoping to one day find a way to destroy Sagara for real.

Also, the belts wouldn't suddenly start breaking apart in the final arc. Aside from the Invess, both Kouta and Kaito also would have other back up in the final battle (Knuckle & Bravo vs Yoko!Duke, maybe, although I also could see letting some other Rider join team Kaito).

Also, I'd make a random Kurokage grunt join the cast during the overlord resistance. Maybe this Kurokage could be the extra member eventually moving in to fill team Kaito's ranks.

I'd like to have seen Yggdrazil being a more serious threat too. Maybe having one last powerful Rider after they seemingly "fall" suddenly appearing during the last stage. He'd just be quickly destroyed, but it'd add to the sense of uncertainty of it all.

Hello /krg/, I am new and I am want to into Kamen Rider. I read the guide but I wanted to ask you guys some specifics. I want to eventually watch every single series of Kamen Rider, but is there anything I should avoid at all costs? Should I watch in order or at random? Also how the fuck do I approach the movies and shit also, they're all crossovers and I've only seen Ghost up to episode 14, I don't want to spoil anything but I hear they're important.

For the more recent series the openings will change to show movie footage at times. Those are good indications of when to watch the particular movie.

I have two watch orders for you;

Kuuga to Drive, every show in order even the argueably bad ones. And their respective hbv's movies specials and whatever else.

Or

W - OOO - FOURZE - WIZARD -DRIVE - GAIM then reset at Kuuga and move on to decade. Avoid the crossover movies featuring or starring Phase 1 Hesei riders.

I ended up doing the latter when I first watched Kamen Rider. And when I got to those crossover movies it was a real treat seeing the phase 1 and 2 riders interacting; also you end the series by completing the loop and going back to the start which I loved doing.

You can start with the original Kamen Rider and watch in production order if you want, this is a perfectly valid way to do it.

You can start with Kuuga, the first Heisei show, and work your way forward, going back to Showa when you're ready.

You can start with W, the first show to take place in the 2010s and the marker of a huge jump in the overall consistency and quality of Rider.

You will receive many mixed signals about what shows to avoid. The only ones that are nigh-universally accepted as horrible are Kiva and Wizard. Most people have their own list of shows that they consider bad: I tend to rate Kabuto as one of the absolute worst, for instance, while others praise it. If you're in doubt, watch some of it and form your own opinion.

Not all Rider movies are crossovers. Most Rider shows have two movies a year: the first is a crossover with their predecessor, a trend that began with Kiva and is normally released in the winter, while the second is a standalone movie that's released in the summer as a double feature with a half-hour Sentai "movie" that's more like a special episode to warm the audience up, with the Rider film being a proper feature-length production.

Prior to Decade, watch the standalone movie around episode 35. After Decade, watch the standalone movie around episode 12-14 and the crossover movie around episode 35. The exception is Den-O, which has a shitload of movies. One of them ties directly into the plot of the show and thus the show will tell you exactly when you're supposed to go watch it, the rest take place after the show.

[#kamen rider chaser] takes place immediately after episode 40/Surprise Future. It's when Chase has reaffirmed his decision to protect humanity and has started calling Shinnosuke by his first name. On the Roidmudes' side, Brain has been revived from a core and Medic has become determined to achieve ultimate evolution.

The story expands on Chase's "desire to have human feelings", but will also answer a bunch of things, like:
- the reason Proto Drive was created
- why Chase has Kano Kouichi's appearance
- why Chase was smiling in his license photo

When you see the V-cinema, Heart's comment in episode 46, "he was a warrior I could respect", where he knew of Chase's death, will be all the more heartwrenching. The V-cinema also depicts the ups and downs of Medic's time raising a dog, and it should also clarify Brain's defiance toward Gold Drive.

Look forward to the emotional roller coaster and conflict in the Roidmudes' camp, all revolving around Chase. Also, Professor Banno will make a brief appearance from right after the scene in episode 40 where he implanted a bad program in Mr. Belt. What sort of reaction does Banno have to Drive's avoidance of Mr. Belt's rampage in Surprise Future?
