What part about PRODUCTION ORDER did you not get? Every single post-series addition to VOTOMS only served to diminish the original, though Last Red Shoulder at least is a fun action OVA.

By the time the gundams appeared they were like 30 years old and had almost single-handedly redesigned how wars were fought after raping pretty much everything that came before them in the setting. They were just getting ready to be replaced with newer MS when the gundams appeared and the gundams were pretty much designed with wrecking their shit in mind since it was the primary enemy they would be facing.

These are usually much weaker aesthetically than the main form, which is no surprise considering how they are designed after the main form. So many of them boil down to the secondary robot turning into boots, shoulder pads, a hat, and a new chest for the main robot.

The more components involved the worse they usually look.
