Well this is fucking annoying.
Went to install my dust cover, the fucking thing is bent just a little bit on the forward side, giving a gap of about 1/4" when it's sealed. Just enough that it tickles my autism to imagine little grains of sand and crap working their way in there.
My first thought was to bend it inward, but it's a major pain to get it clamped in such a way that no pressure is going onto the curled part that holds the rod, and no pressure is going across to the other side.

I literally know nothing about AR10 barrel lengths, gas system lengths, and over/under gas conditions.
I imagine it will be an appropriate rifle length gas system for a 20" barrel, and if you increase the pressure with a suppressor that should only increase reliability. Throw a heavier buffer or spring in to slow it down if you get any over gas symptoms.

I fell for this trap too. Your guys' fallacy is that "good" is one single point, and not a multitude of points where value meet quality. There is such thing as a "good" $1,600 optic, a "good" $1,000 optic, a "good" $600 optic and a "good" $300 optic. The key is the price bracket, as obviously a $600 optic is not in the same league as a $2,400 optic in terms of optical quality or attributes.
Vortex is exceptionally good at providing value for money all along the pricing spectrum. Burris is okay at this. Leupold is shit at it, but all three companies have a top notch warranties to cover their garbage-tier optics.

Sorry if I implied otherwise, I meant "for the price." That's why Vortex has Apple-like pricing everywhere, so that their pricing is always fair. That's also why I say Burris is okay at fair pricing and Leupold is shit at it, because Burris doesn't have enough products to produce "good" ones at enough price points, and everything Leupold makes is way way overpriced and not a good value for money except for some of the extremely high end stuff (the ones that don't suffer from poor turret tracking).

I've been absent from /arg/ since you first got that thing, what kind of accuracy are you getting out of it?
>>34183477
M93b and apex sends my 2006 senses all to that
The bergara seems like a knock off CTR
The lack of nicer bipods seems.... Functional
You clearly have a theme to your collection.but I can't quite figure out what it is.

Just got my ruger brand ruger AR15 , but my mag wont fit.
>>34183532
Dysfunctional. Scope needs a mount. You can do better than 400 for a strike eagle without a mount.

What front sights are good? Besides KAC 99051?
>>34183583
MBUS Pro
>>34183576
LOL xD
>>34183589
Thanks. Any other good ones or is MBUS the best?
>>34183515
Clive Lewis?
>>34183499
had one and got rid of it.
>>34183608
In my opinion, there's no reason to buy anything but MBUS Pro if your first choice was KAC but you can't get it for whatever reason. It's small and doesn't get in the way of low profile light mounts and other rail accessories. Troys definitely could interfere, with how huge they are.

Anyone excited to get their MDR at the end of this month?
>>34183574
>image clearly says "with mount"
Are you thick?
>>34183744
If they won't show it, it's guaranteed chinkshit. So effectively it comes without a mount.
>>34183657
A4 clones just ain't my cup of tea. Not a fan of ACOGs, and the round plastic A2 handguards are supremely comfy.

>>34183504
I never zeroed it fully but got on paper with iron sights and with Wolf Gold it was shooting around 2.5 MOA at 100 yards. Or rather, I was. I doubt I'll put any type of optic on it unless Taiwanese military scopes become available, so I would not expect better than 2 MOA out of my rifle with cheap ammo. I won't waste match ammo in it without an optic.
>>34183510
The theme is "it's less expensive than you thought." Everything looks and functions to a slightly higher level than its price would otherwise dictate.
>>34183535
I have a Viper PST 1-4, Strike Eagle and Nomad 20-60 spotting scope now, and previously had a Viper PST 4-16 SFP, Sparc 1, and Crossfire 2-7 (trash). I had a gen 1 Razor HD 5-20 for a few days before deciding I liked my old IOR Valdada 3.5-18 slightly better for the price.
Budget shit got its hooks in me hard, so I have trouble justifying the price of better optics for what I do.

Make some topics, have some discussion. Here, I preordered a Hudson H9. Let's talk about that.
I think it's going to be pretty rad even though the frame and slide are MIM. I'm expecting Hudson customer service to handle teething issues with the first batch, and also I'm trying to find out whether or not they will do threaded barrels on the first batch because obviously I want to operate silently while wheeling my way to the refrigerator.
