Is a gas block sticking out partially under the handguard considered a bad thing on here?

It's a 13" handguard on a 18" barrel with rifle length gas. I was afraid 15" was too long, but it's not too late to return the handguard and get a 15".

Well this is fucking annoying.
Went to install my dust cover, the fucking thing is bent just a little bit on the forward side, giving a gap of about 1/4" when it's sealed. Just enough that it tickles my autism to imagine little grains of sand and crap working their way in there.
My first thought was to bend it inward, but it's a major pain to get it clamped in such a way that no pressure is going onto the curled part that holds the rod, and no pressure is going across to the other side.

I ordered my NF 2.5-10x32 for my scar today. I'm looking at QD mounts, and I'm liking Bobro's duel lever option. Problem is, the non-extended duel lever 30mm mount is OOS everywhere on the net.

I think it's a fast reticle. The two thick horizontal bars are nice for centering fast shots, while the fine reticle with a few hold-overs are nice for farther shots. It's not ideal, I wanted the MOAR reticle, but I can send in my scope and have my reticle changed for 150 dollarydoos, so I'm not too worried about being stuck with this option if I end up not liking it.

I literally know nothing about AR10 barrel lengths, gas system lengths, and over/under gas conditions.

I imagine it will be an appropriate rifle length gas system for a 20" barrel, and if you increase the pressure with a suppressor that should only increase reliability. Throw a heavier buffer or spring in to slow it down if you get any over gas symptoms.

There is such thing as a "good" $1,600 optic, a "good" $1,000 optic, a "good" $600 optic and a "good" $300 optic. The key is the price bracket, as obviously a $600 optic is not in the same league as a $2,400 optic in terms of optical quality or attributes.

Vortex is exceptionally good at providing value for money all along the pricing spectrum. Burris is okay at this. Leupold is shit at it, but all three companies have a top notch warranties to cover their garbage-tier optics.

I never zeroed it fully but got on paper with iron sights and with Wolf Gold it was shooting around 2.5 MOA at 100 yards. Or rather, I was. I doubt I'll put any type of optic on it unless Taiwanese military scopes become available, so I would not expect better than 2 MOA out of my rifle with cheap ammo. I won't waste match ammo in it without an optic.

I have a Viper PST 1-4, Strike Eagle and Nomad 20-60 spotting scope now, and previously had a Viper PST 4-16 SFP, Sparc 1, and Crossfire 2-7 (trash). I had a gen 1 Razor HD 5-20 for a few days before deciding I liked my old IOR Valdada 3.5-18 slightly better for the price.

Budget shit got its hooks in me hard, so I have trouble justifying the price of better optics for what I do.
