Factory Remington UMC 220 gr subsonics. Haven't ran it over a chrono yet, but it's absolutely not supersonic.

It's got a crack at the ejection port, likely from the gas tube/gas key seal breaking.

I conjecture that the 9mm's blowback action, in concert with it's lower operating pressure, bleeds less gas off the barrel and is therefore quieter.

Unless you actually have a need to mount a bunch of accessories (light, laser, tape switch, vfg) there is no reason to carry the weight penalty of a full quad rail.

Not to mention that they're like holding a cheese grater, and you'll need additional bulk and weight to put rail cover on the rails you aren't using.

So yeah, just get a thin free float tube with M-lok slots, or keymod if you like dicks. Even if you don't use the slots, they make it lighter.

No one used ladder covers in the .mil, they would get chewed up in a day. The KAC rail panels were actually decent, but the whole quad rail plus covers got big enough around that it wasn't ergonomic.

I'll look into the light. I've used some handheld surefires and they seemed great. Felt solid.

I shot about 150 rounds through it the other day. Felt really smooth and nice. I kept reaching for a charging handle on the right side that isn't there but I'm getting the hang of it.

The only thing about it is that it feels a bit more delicate but seems to work fine. I only shot an old Colt carbine like 10 years ago once and that's the extent of my AR experience.

I love mine and haven't had any problems with the dot disappearing. I usually use it between 5-11 depending on how bright out it is. I also have no problem with not using the dot at all as the cross hairs are very crisp to use as well.

I have been told by some people it is somewhat of a heavy optic however. But I have no other variables to confirm this against.
