Lockup on my colt tube is just as good as both UBRs I had, tho buffers vary, cheek weld is a lot nicer especially using an optic where I have to raise my head up a bit more, and it's a lot lighter

The weight moves the center of gravity back. The lockup is good on the LMT, but the RE is the weak point. Not sure how one is better than the other for scoped shooting, they are both the same height from the mounting threads.

Center of gravity is already pretty far back on FALs with how heavy steel receivers are, and even in the shoulder 13-14 pounds is still 13-14 pounds. Using optic tho FALs have them sit a touch higher than ARs so it's more of a chin weld than a cheek weld, but when I switch to irons it has perfect cheek weld

In regards to the failure to lock back, does it do it all the time? My operator would actually have these weird FTEs on the last round where the last casing would get jammed into the slide, but also back itself into the magazine, meaning I couldn't get the mag out, couldn't pull the slide back, and definitely couldn't disassemble the gun without doing some serious feats of dexterity.
