This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels.
What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know the drill.
The song is really good but the animation if you can call it that is horrible. I can deal with poorly animated hair or clothes but this is too much.
I have played it. Yeah it has a little more h-scenes than an average moege (6 per heroine, 25 at total) but nowadays every moege have at least 3-4 h-scenes per a heroine so I dont consider it as a borderline nukige at all. A couple ones come one after the another though, maybe thats the reason why they felt like that.
About the game itself; I can say that common route is pretty comfy and Taruhi & Yuki is pretty cute but it has some classic problems, like why does some heroines fall in love with mc or why do they want him so much etc. I dont think "It'll be fun!" is an enough answer for chasing specially him so much without any reason.
Overall I found it as a better than average, but not too great game, most likely because I liked Yuki's personality too much. If you are searching for something comfy, there are a couple better choices like amakano or 天気雨 but this one isn't so bad either imo.
まいてつ and ちっちゃくないもんっ！～スクールバスでおむかえちゅっちゅ～
So does this heroine from CURE GIRL actually get raped? I'm getting conflicting information here. Or does it not matter to VirginDB (which I doubt) because it doesn't happen in her route so she's still technically a "virgin"? Or maybe someone just incorrectly tagged it on vndb. Can someone who has read it chime in on this?
Well to be more accurate both sites match that there is indeed a rape attempt, but it's the "other route rape" tag on vndb that is bothering me. Either VirginVB doesn't have that information or the tags are wrong on vndb.
I just realized the awful truth. Heroines are still considered virgins even if they are raped by someone other than the protagonist during the the story since technically they were still virgins up until that point. For some reason in my mind a virgin heroine = purity for the taking exclusively for the protagonist. Why didn't I realize something so simple sooner?
Well shit, this is pretty intense suddenly. Not plot elements I would expect.
His art's getting progressively shittier with every game and it wasn't even good to begin with, honestly. Iris needs to just hire a better artist.
She really cranks up the sluttiness in her after story, too. Too bad she's a hag.
This is actually why I really don't like Alice's route. It's kind of tedious and repetitive with the same running back to the hospital drama every other chapter. Natsuha's is better with this but I feel like it has similar problems. Sumi's route is probably the best part of the game.
I had no expectations for this game and simply gave it a shot because it's animated. Seems pretty decent, though. I like the 90s news.
Is the new Jellyfish game (I Virgin, was it?) also animated?
Oh man, I was going to start 妹選抜総選挙 because I actually like the "getting suddenly sisters" type moeges, but seems like he wasn't getting just 3 sisters, its 364. Thats a little too much even for me, gotta search something new.
Like I said, pretty decent so far. Very calm atmosphere, the drama is a bit retarded though.
Protag isn't that prominent. Typical blank sheet protagonist except he can play guitar.
I'm not that far though, so things might change.
It doesn't make a difference since even blood related sisters are hardly treated differently than childhood friends. There's not much point to them being sisters, blood-related or otherwise.
Went to the handout event for Dies irae ～Interview with Kaziklu Bey～ poster and it turned out Dies Irae has rather many female fans.
It never occured to me, but when you think about it, it's not that hard to imagine. The artstyle, existence of non-H versions.
I didn't use VPN, but there you go.
I wonder if any of the buyers will go try this.
Looking at the trial it will just be extremely bland that is probably even worse than simply being shit.
Though I bet it will have some meta twist that will make people gush over at
need some help if anyone knows about this...
I have a kirikiri2 game which I want to extract several of the assets, assets in question allow for modular build of girl, an image for body, another for boobs, another for hair, etc...
they're all build together on the screen, I managed to extract all the images and files from the data.xp3 archive, however I can seem to find the data info about said images, coordinates depth and etc.
Anyone knows if these can be found somewhere?
Oh, looks like they use that Buddy Launcher bullshit. It's just an .exe cryptor with one-time online activation that's been around for years. as long as you have a license you can unpack and fix the executable (and if they fucked up you don't need even that, see Soft Denchi). Definitely crackable, Raidy 3 had it. I was expecting something more sinister like game files streamed from a server.
Anyone played 1/7の魔法使い?
Asking because I saw over 50 copies of it being sold at like 680 yen in Softmap.
Somehow that makes me doubt its qualities. Was it total shit?
(Also saw rather many copies of Koi x Shinai Kanojo for like 2800 yen. That was a super quick price drop.)
Haven't played 1/7 no Mahoutsukai, but Koi x Shinai Kanojo wasn't even bad. Sure the main heroine was a bitch but I didn't really feel anything for her in the first place so I didn't give a shit. The rest of the girls' routes are pretty good.
What's this from?
So I was listening to the first episode of this year's minori's web radio and they featured just fine a mail from a korean guy who was buying Tsuminohi, and the VAs sounded pretty happy about it when they read it. I thought minori made it clear that they didn't like foreigners even installing their games in the minorigate fiasco. Did they fix their assholeness a bit or something? How did that end up?
>but I didn't really feel anything for her in the first place so I didn't give a shit.
I've just finished the common route and don't really care for her, either. Maybe it's because I heard about the true end, but it made the MC being so fixated on her really annoying.
Doesn't light do a Valentine's event video almost every year? It shouldn't be that surprising they've got a decent female fanbase since they probably already know it.
Also, stuff that could pass by as shounen is a known fujoshi target since the 90's when Jump introduced all the bishounen series.
Pretty obvious considering Reinhardt, Wilhelm, Makina etc. design are typical whale bait. Also how much masada likes to digress into of walls text are sugary romance, especially senpai route, especially KKK (some parts of which should make any straight male uncomfortable, see picrelated).
Not that there aren't far more serious problems with his 'writing', but still. Well, my own fault for buying into the hype.
Suddenly the White Day movies and this album art make a lot more sense.
jesus christ. $700 for a meet and greet with unlimited bar? i'm starting to feel like that cpa wine and cheese bullshit i went to wasn't so bad.
>Asuka was just as bland
I like genki, friendly and kind of mysterious girls. her seiyuu is great too. I also like the romance with age difference, so there is that. Yurika is my second favourite.
Why do soo many good visual novels go unrecognized? You would think as niche and autistic as the vn fanbase is that nothing good would go unnoticed, and yet anytime I find something good or great most of the time it has less than 100 votes on vndb. The VNDB ranking system is as useful for finding good visual novels as MAL is for finding good anime.
>When Majo Koi released it went almost undiscussed, same thing with the last Ley Line game.
Majo koi did get some talk but it's not like it's so good it warrants more.
Same for Ley line, 3rd game doesn't have the impact of the 2nd so it didn't have as much talk, that's all
>yet anytime I find something good or great most of the time it has less than 100 votes on vndb
Are you joking or actually serious? Almost no one knows japanese in vndb database, 99% of them just tries to play with atlas & google translate or just vote with the cg pack.
>I'm not even sure what your point is.
My point is they have shitty taste in VNs but somehow think their taste is best. Their VNs are unrecognized because they are shit and only they like them.
I have alway used vndb just to keep track of what I own and what I want to buy next. When I see shit like this it makes me cringe at using the site.
X was not popular so X was not good. You must think Twilight was a masterpiece and that Justine Bieber makes the best music.
X was not popular so X was good is not good thinking either.
Opinions are just opinions. Some people think the popular games are good, some people think the unpopular ones are. It doesn't make them better than the popular games though.
this exactly describes what you're talking about, but what does it matter? just use egs to help get a better idea of how good something is.
Well it depends on what are you searching in a game to be honest. For example a great game can get bad score or not being popular just because it doesnt have h-scenes or have few, while some games like 僕と恋するポンコツアクマ can become really popular / can get very high scores (it has fucking 80 at egs) because it has very hot scenes.
Of course thats also part of the opinion though, just wanted to say that popularity is not directly related with being good / bad. Thats the reason why I'm suggesting to read reviews or ask thoughts of other people instead of just deciding with its popularity.
>It is when you start saying the things you enjoy are "good", like there's some objective measure of goodness that your likes fill and your dislikes do not.
I can assure you there's at max 1 or 2 people who unironically believe their taste is "objectively good" in this thread. We all fucking know it's all about opinions. We don't need to state it. Or are we gonna start every single post in this thread with "Weeeeell, in *MY* humble OPINION, X is good/bad"?
This, plus I once had a spreadsheet with images and everything but lost it.
I dont even care about x or y being popular or unpopular. My issues is more about the discrepancy between a theoretical 8/10 and 9/10. One is forgotten and called shit, the other is hailed as a must read. You would think people would have more perspective, considering how subjective these things are. Then there are the people spitting hyperbole like this guy. I'm sure he thinks that if he has not read it, then it must be bad.
Considering the web version hasn't been updated in a year and that everything published is in the game you'll have to wait a very long time for the other part of the series, if they are ever released which is doubtful.
actually the game only covers 2/3 of what exists of the current web novel so there's quite a bit left, but your point still stands. i just hope this turns into MGQ for me all over again, waiting for sequels, instead of the next game(s) never happening period.
>Why do soo many good visual novels go unrecognized?
>Why do the things I like go unrecognized?
>You would think as niche and autistic as the vn fanbase is that nothing good would go unnoticed, and yet anytime I find something good or great most of the time it has less than 100 votes on vndb.
>You would think as niche and autistic as the vn fanbase is that nothing
I like would go unnoticed, and yet anytime I find something I love most of the time it has less than 100 votes on vndb.
I'm not implying any of the stuff that's been implied at me except that that poster is confusing what he likes for what is good.
I think it was more along the lines of "why don't I hear more about stuff that's not as popular. " , not a cry to "like what I like". I think it's true that people only a talk about what is hot that month and sweep everything else under the rug. It's like only caring about the super bowl and not talking about any of the regular season game. Or only watching the biggest summer blockbuster, and passing over everything else.
> 14. What _visual_ attribute is the most important for you?
> Music / Voice Acting
> No fucking Characters
Why every survey like this excludes characters when asking for most important aspect of VNs? It looks as if survey makers don't play VNs themselves.
>In case you are pirating visual novels, what are the reasons?
I'm pirating the games first, then buy them if I really like for the support, but there isnt any choice similiar to this so I'm picking "I don’t pirate visual novels".
>14. What visual attribute is the most important for you?
This distinction is dumb and ambiguous. And yeah, where's the option for characters?
Also, where's the option for pirating because some older shit is literally just not available for purchase anymore? Have fun spending the price of a car on a used copy of Shoin, for example.
I actually think that with stuff like that every price is fair, in some sense. The higher the price is, the fewer people buy it, and the fewer people buy it the better the product because you aren't competing with as many people to interact with the people you want to interact with.
>This distinction is dumb and ambiguous
There's nothing ambiguous or dumb in it. Its very common for story and writing to be on different levels, for example story not existing at all while writing to be very good.
You have to be a good writer to write a convincing story. An interesting plot is one aspect of good writing, as is humor, character interactions, and many other things. It makes no sense to separate the two.
Fucking bitch, I hope she cries when I picked some other heroine.
Dunno man, I just started it. But enjoying so far, though they just skipped how mc got so friendly with the class.
She voiced sena from 恋×シンアイ彼女 as well, but that didn't change the character's bitchness level.
I'm just joking at >>14686863 though, most likely she'll go deredere soon since all other three are already pretty familiar with mc.
>Or it's good in some ways, but bad in others.
And to express that is why they separate both things, dummy. The word has indeed become a buzzword here but it's definitely not useless.
Amiami is funky with my credit card. They suddenly stopped accepting it last year, and my preorders failed because of it. Their support refused to assist with it, bank said its problem on shop side, and I just gave up trying to order anything through them anymore.
On the bright side, DMM now officially sells stuff to gaijins and it works well with my card.
get a new credit card. i use a capital one card with no foreign transaction fees on it and never had any problems anywhere. most cards have a 1-3% fee so it's worth looking into.
So seems like はにかみ clover has a short common route with "10" h-scenes per a heroine. Seriously I think I almost lost all my will to play, I cant handle that much h-scenes in a row. I dont think even nukiges have 40 h-scenes in a game nowadays.
>has over 100
What the fuck, lets say every h-scene is 5 minute length at least, it makes fucking 8-9 hours of h-scenes and I'm pretty sure that they are longer than 5 minutes. Some people might enjoy it but its definitely not my cup of tea.
Oh so there are blowjobs, footjobs, handjobs etc in the common route but you have to get into a heroine's route for fucking the pussy. 僕と恋するポンコツアクマ was also like this, though I was expecting a charage from はにかみ clover so pretty surprised about it.
Nips are going nuts, especially considering some people who bought it legitimately were having problems when attempting to authorize it, it seems.
I completely agree. This purity bullshit has no place in a game about adult heroines. They don't even look like adults. I'd even preferred they were non-virgins but that's probably too radical for today's sensitive market.
The fuck is wrong with you people? Pubic hair is disgusting and visually offensive, and has no place in any eroge. Even the thought of sex scenes containing such a disgusting physical feature revolts me.
Akabee shacho is technology retarded and he thought having to activate the game online and making it connect to the server every time on launch is magically going to make it hard to pirate. If you're a good cracker you only need to launch the game once to be able to intercept the decryption key and dump the executable. The only obstacle is obtaining the license key to be able to authenticate. If they made a challenge-response protection that would send requests to the server constantly to grab data that's required for the game to run further which is especially suitable for eroge, that would make it hard to crack but of course they're too poor and retarded to do that so they opted for a protection from an outside company.
Buddy is pretty old (last update was in 2011 lol), Raidy went uncracked for several months and some games never got cracked but that probably was only because nobody gave a fuck about those. Perhaps that's what convinced him of the supposed uncrackability.
So the message of this VN is that after you decide to change your life, you'll suddenly start meeting sluts that are immediately down to fuck?
>Hating on Sakuuta
I seriously hope you guys don't do this.
That's what you get for ostentatiously claiming your game to be uncrackable. Buddy Launcher is known to be a rather easy target. I didn't thought it would be cracked this fast though.
Do the non-heroines have sprites in the full game? CGs but no sprites was pretty weird for me.
Call me paranoic, but didn't the imouto games and imouto heroines decrease considerably?
Is it because of the censorship laws isn't it?
Are you sure? I just saw the paizuri scene but there wasn't any event between any other heroines so far. If this is the end of the common route it'll definitely betray my expectations.
Considering they do fuckall with the actual incest aspect, I can't see why you're offended.
The good parts of incest are the whole 'forbidden' and 'socially abhorred' aspects that give the romance some flavour. Imoutos in moege are basically childhood friends: our parents are the same edition, boring as hell.
Speaking of which, are there any other games where there's are several heavy petting scenes before sex? It's somewhat disappointing when it goes confession > straight to sex without even so much as kissing and it's the primary reason why I'm going to try Hanikami in the first place.
In hanikami they do those before the confession though. Its the classic "Pure Succubus" type game, our heroine is a succubus but hates it so tries to hold herself back as much as possible, then mc realize it after some events and help her by getting blowjob paizuri etc.
I'm really looking forward the full release of Tetsutora, the new Tsurumiku game.
Demo came out some days ago, some really great scenes and atmosphere in general.
It's going to be funny if someone gets arrested for linking a bbspink thread while the freenet guy and the chink who cracked the game get to roam free. Your fault for making yourself look like a dumbass with your retarded claim.
Depends for me. I don't really want incest drama (tragic drama is rather silly in VNs), but I'll drop that shit if the parents/relatives go all "Oh well, have fun you little rascals". It's really just a glorified osananajimi at that point.
It's mostly because of the new censorship rules. There's apparently some confusion about it and some games can still have blood related imoutos while others can't--I don't remember which regulating body demands what but bottom line is it's some stupid arbitrary limit. You have games with scat, gore and violent rape on minors all over the market and this is somehow a taboo.
That said, imo-ge is mostly tried and done. There are many older games out there that you would never play except for the imouto factor and they are pretty good for it whether you are looking for complete braindead romantic comedy or where the immorality aspect matters. From Kusari hime to Natsu no ame. It's not gonna get much better as a subgenre.
Yeah, I just got the halfway of the Suou route. To be honest I think she is the worst heroine in the game, but just wanted to know if she is really a bitch or not.
At the first part of the route she was pretty annoying, with "lets become sex friends", "you can use me whenever you want", "As long as I suck your semen I dont care anything else" etc shits without any word of love, She sure felt as a bitch. But they are slowly getting lovelove mode which I find a little more enjoyable.
Well at least h-scenes are hot as fuck, I have fapped every one of them so far. I guess I'll stop here for a while since my dick is as red as tomato.
They told me Sakura no Uta was kamige,
They were right
I cringed the moment I opened the vn and was hit by Gymnopédies. I don't know what it is about that writer and always stealing material from others. At least it was not as bad as his lucky star fan fiction.
It does looks fucking beautiful, I just dont see what's so great about the writing. The only thing that makes me happy is Shizuku in a chicken pajama. Bored out of my mind, and almost dropped it with the childhood friend transfer student. Guess I am done with sakura no uta.
Scaji really isn't that great of a writer. He just goes on lots of tangents about things that some people like, and makes the deeper meanings he wants people to find in his games obvious enough to make readers feel good about themselves. The text itself is pretty plain and a lot of the dialogue is pretty hard to stomach if you aren't super in tune with his sense of humor.
Not sure what these nips are on about because piracy isn't what's killing PC eroge. The problem is that studios keep putting out the same recycled shit over and over because they're afraid of offending the existing fanbase, which at the same time means that nobody new will jump over to the medium. It's stagnant for a reason
>But since one of them has uncracked DRM and the other probably won't work on my PC, I'll just go with 祝姫.
>"Uncracked" is claim of that akabeisoft crack, I'd take it with a grain of salt.
>I really hope our Chinese friends work on this DRM soon. I'm not that big into this game in particular but future games from akabe/hibiki will all have this DRM.
ABS2 going to switch from eroge to mobage because scarrrry pirates raped shachou.
Just finished true ending of S;G 0
It was okay I guess, it felt lacking though
It really supports the original game well
It's not good enough to call it a full on sequel
But it's too good for just a support of the main game
It was pretty good. It was worth the money at least
Deep about what? Besides the short passage about happiness, what important and useful message you get from mimesis and shit? It just seems like searching for a chance to be pretentious, rather than searching for an answer to something.
Oh god he is so mad because he cant do anything to foreigners, said at least 5 times that "its a shame we cant do anything to foreigners" or something similiar to this. At this rate I guess he'll hire a hitman or something for chinese devs.
I can see why are they still blocking the non-japanese ips.
apparently light now sells downloadable copies through dmm (sorry if it's old news). Is this a safe shop to use? do they block gaijins/problems with certain cards? Anyone have experience?
I forgot to add, some games have additional checks (like Majikoi and onther Nexas games) after you unwrap the executable, in which case there's additional cracking effort needed.
Here's the tool by the way:
Thank you again! I guess if the drm is too much of a hassle I can always play on pirated copy, I just want to make sure I can buy the games I like without paying half again in shipping and customs.
