This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels.
What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know the drill.
Most important events don't have one fixed day they can be done on, but rather a range of time and days they can be done during the seasons, aside from specific dates locations, holidays etc.
For reference, I didn't raise her affection enough to start going on date until near the end of the summer. Making the right dialogue choices helps a bit as well, but it shouldn't be the end of the world if you don't. You can try to speed things up by rapidly visiting places where she often is like her classroom afterschool and repeatedly talking to her, I believe. There's also no real harm in repeatedly asking for her phone number or asking her out on dates and getting turned down, either.
Is probably the best walkthrough I've personally seen.
Someone in the last thread told me to play the trial but I didn't like it either. The pacing and dialogue kept me entertained enough the entire time, but the characters and setting were lacking. Me ending up disliking Sayuki didn't help at all, considering she's the "main" heroine. I tried to like her but I couldn't. I liked Teruha but at the end she suddenly turned from the voice of reason into a kid throwing a tantrum, that also didn't help. I want to believe they'll grow up together, at least.
What did /jp/ think of Steins;Gate 0?
I thought it was great. Probably the best thing from 2015.
Saga Planets crowdfunding.
Not him but I read it now. Seems they want to hold a event to promote their new work.
If I remember correctly, didn't a eroge magazine stop getting published recently? Must have been a result of this and
Yes, 紹介 event.
And yes, that's what they meant by
>>美少女ゲームを紹介して頂く媒体が減り probably. I think two eroge magazines stopped being published somewhat recently. Well, the first one several months to like a year or two ago, my memory is unclear, the second one more recently.
So how did was Tsumi no Hikari Rendezvous trial?
Some other anon posted his impression not long ago, it was pretty good. The idea of how important relationships based on sins and hate and not just love is interesting, the main heroine is great too, she managed to be extremely cute and psychologically unstable at the same time. But this is one of the games that I wished that they didn't bother with the other heroines and make it one heroine, half price game.
アマガミ ちょっとおまけ劇場 EX1-6
Yeah, that's the walkthrough I'm using, but it doesn't really all the choices in the game (or just the important choices?).
Also, I'd love to know what effect the choices after a date have. I guess kissing/touching costs affection if it fails?
KOYA is more like Romeo learned how to write something genuinely fun and entertaining while still being able to inject all his usual subtext and commentary on various things. I'm pretty stoked for release.
I want to play a VN with good gameplay. My dream game would be something like owning my own castle or town, managing it, expanding it, defending it from attacks while moving in cute girls to live with them.
How's Mado Kokaku from Eushully? From the screenshots it looks like it has some civilization/total war-like strategy part which isn't really what I want. Are there any games where you just manage a single castle or town rather than an empire and you don't have to worry about things like map control? I also missed out on Kamidori, which may or may not be something that I want.
Some Softhouse Chara games are like that. Kinda. There are also some dlsite doujin games about managing your city and defending it from attackers, but dunno if you could call it "good gameplay". Was fun enough for me to spend 2 days on one of them, I guess.
> How's Mado Kokaku from Eushully?
Pretty good, but kinda lacks in challenges once you got past initial hurdle. I had fun optimizing resource gathering from half of map, but once you maxed out most of resources and swimming in money, there's just nothing to do.
Thanks, but I'm looking for more of a castle management or city building game rather than an RTS, like the stronghold management minigames a lot of western RPGs like BG2, NWN2, PoE and so on have, or even something like dwarf fortress.
Their newest game その古城に勇者砲あり looks like something I might like, I'll check it out.
Yuusha-gun is plain tower defence.
I'd advice trying out 南国ドミニオン; グリンスヴァール; Daisounan; 雪鬼屋温泉記; Bunny Black 3; 門を守るお仕事 if you want more of "management" aspect.
BB3 fits your request almost perfect, but you need to play BB1 & BB2 first.
The same Golden Week.
But Alicesoft have indicated that they have nothing near release after Tsumamigui which is released on the 29th of January.
And any Golden Week game would have to be pretty advanced in terms of development to be released by then so it doesn't appear they have a game for golden week
PC version of the Vita port of Himawari is coming out soon.
Wish I hadn't gotten the Vita version on release then, PC version is cheaper I believe.
Well, I played it on my Vita TV anyway so I suppose it isn't any different than if I placed it on pc.
I always told myself that I was going to play Himawari someday, but never got around to actually doing it. So this Vita version port will be the definitive edition with the most content save for H-scenes?
企画・脚本 - 浅生詠 (euphoria, Makoto route in Sakura no Uta)
I got weirded out when I saw an amount of Christ's portraits and head statues. Until I know it's the theme of the cafe... But why are they holding an event in a Jesus theme cafe?
>I give it 2 weeks after release
2 weeks to be cracked? I really hope so.
Iam reading Sorairo innocent from them and it's a kusoge, so it's a real shame if the good release gets uncracked DRM.
Why would I buy something from people who don't give a shit about me? I'm not saying they have to pander to me but at least make it so I don't have to go through several proxies to play one game.
1 - My card often gets declined when purchasing from foreign countries, well Japan at least, it's quite a bother
2 - If they aren't selling them where I live, clearly I'm not in their projected sales, target audience, and furthermore their websites often BLOCK me because I'm a foreigner. They're not trying to sell to me, in fact often games pop up and say "Do not play this outside of Japan, this is for Japan use only", there's DRM that locks me out if I don't have Japanese date settings, etc etc. Why should I go out of my way to buy it when they don't care about me and actively try to prevent me from playing the game?
Its not because they hate you and dont want your filthy money, its because most of contries' laws become a problem so they dont want to deal with those.
And the "block" thing started after the feminist retards' complaints about the eroges, how they see girls as objects and how they should be banned. For not dealing those shits they just closed their sites to other countries. And most of them already opened anyway, If I'm not wrong only Akabeisoft has the gaijin block currently.
Try making some conversation with them through twitter or join their live channels and ask some question, they are pretty happy with gaijins as long as you are supporting them with buying some of their shits.
>Its not because they hate you and dont want your filthy money
I don't hold it against them, I'm just not gonna go out of my way to support an industry that doesn't want me and takes steps to keep me out.
>If I'm not wrong only Akabeisoft has the gaijin block currently.
http://www.alicesoft.com/ is blocked for me
Yeah seems like Alice soft also using gaijin block, I didnt know since I never bothered with looking into their websites.
Anyway whatever floats your boat mate, its not like I'm buying dozens of the eroges either. I'm buying 3-5 games per year just because I'd like support some companies like Asa project so they wouldn't crushed / so I can enjoy more games from them.
This. They hate gaijin and their management is full of assholes. I never buy their or their branches' games.
Oh wow you're right. Why do they do this? It's not like chinese will stop uploading the games just because they IP block the homepage. And I was planning to buy Maitetsu.
The loli in Lose's new game is wearing a train station attendant uniform, it's not a nazi uniform.
Besides, even if it were, I don't think I've seen the Japanese very worried about hiding nazi imagery in their cartoons. It's just a fashion thing for them.
Ah I remember the poll but I didn't see the results. Did it win? Are they using it for a dakimakura or something or are they including it in the game?
Also I can't see it with a Japanese proxy either, they're probably using an IP range whitelist now. I remember them having problems with server load when they opened up Maitetsu's page. After that they had restricted only Maitetsu's page but now it seems they restricted the whole site.
I hope the ending isn't shit because if so I'm going to be so mad
I remember it as all good endings but I have played it like 5-6 years ago at least so I might be wrong.
Also I have never bothered with the fandisc, Is it just win Mahjong > fuck girls or is there actually something worth to read?
Alicesoft didn't block foreigners because of rapelay, they blocked foreigners because daiteikoku.
WWII is controversial in east asia and some Korean and Chinese posters did not like Daiteikoku
>Chinese posters did not like Daiteikoku
I can see that. The Japanese invasion of China was portrayed so that evil Chinese attacked first and their leader was a petty, unlikable bloodthirsty asshole.
I personally don't care about "historical revisionism" in a fictional porn game. It's only an issue when school books are manipulated, when it's espoused by politicians, and so on, when it has real-world impact. A porn game fiddling with facts to suit its fictional narrative doesn't bother me at all. It's a pretty hot air, though, for those living in Korea and China, so a number of them would get angry enough to lose their head over a fictional game. That's not very smart.
>That's not very smart.
You have no idea how easily offended especially Koreans are. They once were angry because the Japanese word for peninsular is "half-island", implying it's meant as a slur against Korea.
Getting angry about it is as retarded as making it in the first place. How can you be sure that it's just "fiddling with facts to suit its fictional narrative"? Some of them really believe it. See Touken Ranbu's writer.
You mean Korean nationalists. Japanese nationalists are as easily offended.
No I wasn't talking about Daiteikoku specifically, but as a general thing since he mentioned WWII and Chinese/Koreans.
But either way, if you make a fictional work where you win could be interpreted as masturbation fantasy. Like when a nigger hits you in the street then you go home and write a comic about you hitting him instead. It might be not, but a work is always an extension of the writer's psyche. I'm not really upset about it, but the whole thing is kind of silly.
Good to know they're going back to the right track
Why did people dislike Chrono Clock? Was it the wasted potential of the setting, or something else? I liked Makoto and Michiru routes, and Kuro was a complete angel. I thought it wasted a lot of potential of the clock thing and Kuro's route, but I didn't notice something to call it terrible like some people do.
Makoto route literally goes like this: she attacks protag and acts all violenty, next day she's all tere-tere and goes on date with him, next day she's in full best friend mode, then sudden drama, then MC Solves It With His Own Powers Without Relying On the Clock, then they kiss and credit rolls.
Can you really call this shit "heroine route"? While I didn't dislike individual scenes of it, progression is disjointed and haphazard, no proper ichaicha, no exploration of Makoto as character, her background, her family and so on. Everything was so absurdly short and half-assed that any potential she had was ruined by it.
It's been awhile but, I thought Michiru's route was absolutely horrendous. You start the route thinking that there will be a lot of lewd hijinks with your imouto only to find yourself
babysitting their future kidfor the entire route. Another thing that didn't sit well with me were the deus ex machinas most notably present in Makoto and Kuro's route. I don't even want to get started on how Kuro just comes back minutes after she seemingly disappears for good, which just makes it lose all emotional impact.I think DD's route was the one route I actually enjoyed, while Misaki's route was very forgettable to me, and Miu's was basically nonexistent.
>no exploration of Makoto as character, her background, her family and so on
Yea, that was pretty bad as well, have her come from a Yakuza family only to touch upon it a few times.
They didn't even use a sprite they had for her in their character introductions.
Looking back I see how they definitely held back on the ero. Kuro doesn't even service you with her feet!
Lol they are talking about it like the only problem was ero and people complained their perfect game just because it doesn't have ero or something. Yeah more proper ero content would be better I agree with it, but even with that it'd be below than average. I enjoyed many games from them like Hatsukoi Sacrament, Hapymaher, Mirai Nostalgia but that game was pretty bad, gotta accept that.
>Can you really call this shit "heroine route"?
>You start the route thinking that there will be a lot of lewd hijinks with your imouto
I see. I don't disagree, but I liked them exactly because they went against your expectations, so that alone made me enjoy them nonetheless. But I agree it wasn't very well done. I think I know what players who liked Koikake's Sena route feel like now.
> they are talking about it like the only problem was ero and people complained their perfect game just because it doesn't have ero
You should try reading whole article before making up stuff.
Futher below, he talked about other problems with scenario, like lack of ichaicha scenes after they become lovers and so on.
Next time post the link of the article with your quote then, so people wouldnt just talk with that part. I guess you thought that everyone in the thread will actually bother with searching it before posting something.
Nah, I really don't think it is. If I didn't particularly care about cute girls I'd just read books.
In any case, no one buys a Purple Software game looking for high literature. The heroines are what their potential customers care about, so it would have been nice if they had spent more time talking about them.
Charage might be another way to describe what he's saying. Either way I agree, while for obvious reasons the heroines themselves are a very central part of the game, it's not the only thing everyone is looking for in eroge. Far from that.
Its pretty good. The childhood sections of the game were very entertaining and the astronomy scenes werent too overbearing and easy to understand. The real focus is on Saya and Hikari so just bear that in mind since some characters wont get nearly as much screen time. The individual routes themselves are nothing special but I think the common route itself is worth the read. Soundtrack really fits the game and find myself sometimes opening the game back up to listen to some of the tracks.
Also Miharu route when? Its not fair.
Yeah, they're pretty cute.
How does that show in the game?
I wonder if God realized how much visual novel fans would suffer due to eyes being horizontally orientated (leading to horizontal monitors) but the human body being vertical.
When I do 3DCG porn renders for myself (don't ask, too obscure fetish with not enough good porn) I love using laying down poses with the girl being laid out across the image horizontally, because it's both a natural orientation and most of the image is filled with useful content.
We need more CGs in games with girls laying down. You could easily put half of the romance/pillow talk into scenes where you and the girl are either in bed talking, cuddling on the sofa, or laying down in the grass outside side by side and doing the ichaicha. There's way too much talking being done while standing which would better be done while cuddling or sitting just because developers are too lazy to create more sprites.
Ironically, in most VNs with pillow talk scenes I've read they just zoom in on the head (to make it seem like you're looking directly at her), so the benefits of her horizontal orientation are pretty much nil
Yeah, but just the H scenes. I'm saying that such poses could be used outside of porn too. For example there's an awful lack of talking while cuddling on sofa scenes in games.
It's like the only two positions people are portrayed in are talking while standing in the middle of the room and fucking in the bed.
More than just those poses there's a general lack of cuddling, petting, fondling, etc. outside of H-scenes if it's not a R-17, in that sense I really want more of those specially when I really got fond of, I think the creators think that h-scenes are more than sufficient.
Now that you mention it, are there any games with plenty of that kind of scenes? It always frustrates me that you barely show any affection for your waifu outside of having sex with her.
I liked Amakano series because of this.
Is Aozora stripe as good as Amakano? I dropped it when I realized milf route was locked, honestly a pretty rash decision because the game was pretty cozy up until that point.
So would you say this has a sizable amount of ichaicha in the routes or is it still mostly H-scenes? I think I've had enough of H-scenes from LC2. Don't get me wrong they were good but it was still disappointing how there was more bonding outside of their routes when they hadn't fucked yet.
It has a sizable amount of ichaicha for sure, since there is almost nothing as drama. But of course there are 6 h-scenes per a heroine as well so I would say 45% ichaicha & 55% h-scenes or something.
Do you remember what did you install along with Amakano 1?
There are 3 append patches, with the third patch having like 4 different versions and I can't see a guide for it either in the torrents or the official site.
Every append patch adds a short h-scene for each heroine at the extra -in short you get 3x3 append h-scenes at total, just get 1-2 and 3 差し替え版 from here:
I dont know if there's a torrent for append patches or not but you wont need append patches until you finish at least a route anyway, you can download them slowly from rapidgator or something until then.
Thanks, but do you know what's the difference between the three different DLC3 on the page you linked? That was my problem originally, I found torrents for them.
and then there's
DLC3 XP用 差し替え版
Dunno mate, We can see one of them is for XP users, but I'm not sure whats the difference between DLC3 and DLC3 差し替え版. Maybe
DLC3 差し替え版 works at both of xp and w7-8 while other just works at win7?
Anyway just install them and play, after finishing a route you can see how many append patches you added into game with checking the "After Stories" section.
It worked great for the Oniuta/mari series but I think that's more to do with the artist
Monitors are horizontal because we have more horizontal width to our sight, due to having two eyes next to each instead of above / below each other. However, human height is vertical, which means a human body doesn't fit on a horizontal screen. If Humans had vertical eyes, or had a horizontal body, this wouldn't be a problem.
Was just going to read this for the drilljou but damn, it's been a while since I was this immediately taken with the main heroine.
Writing's surprisingly decent, too, if you can get over the fact it's written like a novel, i.e. describe everything in a fair amount of detail even if the images and sprites are doing that job already.
Uraha is a cutie. 10/10 would follow to the ends of the earth.
>What's the plot twist in Euphoria? Got tired after reading one route.
There's plenty and overall the plot's pretty stupid. Fuckhuge SPOILERS obviously:
Everything is a computer simulation. Kanae is actually the main antagonist, a huge sadist and a researcher who planned out the simulation. Protagonist's memories got fucked by experiments and Nemu was actually his real childhood friend. The reason Nemu is such a huge bitch is that she made a deal with sadistic Kanae, that if she managed to get the protagonist to kill herself in the simulation he would be let go. The reason Kanae offered Nemu this deal was that she wanted to break her spirit, which would make her a better "core" or main dreamer of the simulation. It's also implied that only Nemu and the protagonist were in the simulation, others were just AIs based on real people the protagonist knew. The death game that happened in the school still transpired (for psychological research purposes, getting money out of rich people watching and betting the game and the dead students' organs were used to fund their other research), f.ex. Rinne got really fucked and lost all her limbs after her wall rape. The protagonist is also Rinne's biological father, who got raped by Rinne's mother in his childhood when he got caught by their cult. The teacher is a secret agent working for Kanae's group. Rika is being experimented on by the researchers, but because she isn't forced to go through horrible shit that Nemu and the protagonist are she seems pretty okay with it.
In the end
the protagonist is let go by Kanae and I don't remember whether it was months or years, but the protagonist eventually finds Nemu again with Kanae's help, who betrayed the institute and left with Nemu because apparently she had a soft spot for pure love after all. Kanae dies while trying to bring Nemu to the protagonist and he finally finds Nemu, whose memories are wiped for some reason, but it's still a happy ending.THE END
I'm trying not to judge it too harshly out of context but I'm almost impressed at how absurdly convoluted and dumb that sounds. Like the plot equivalent of the moe-est girl ever from Welcome to the NHK.
It kinda feels like two VNs smashed into one as the main theme of the MC
struggling with his torture fetish and giving in to his desireskind of disappears once the plot kicks in and is never mentioned ever again.
>any recommendations for VNs with love triangles?
Pretty much every route in Damekoi to some extent, especially Kaya and Asami's. Go play it, the game's great.
Princess Witches also has some love triangle drama, though it starts relatively late into the game.
>heard praises about the Kansen series for having an interesting story
>none of the VNs were ever translated
>don't know Japanese
>the OVAs apparently aren't too good when compared to the original
How much am I missing out on?
In terms of Japanese media such as VNs, not knowing Japanese is missing out on a fuckton, not just for Kansen but for the many many good series/works that remain untranslated or poorly translated
Whether a game is good or not is for you to decide, not for us to tell you. It's well regarded in general from those who liked the concept, but you could already tell that, so I don't know what kind of answer you were expecting
It has really hot and good h-scenes so I can say its good as a nukige, specially if you like rapes etc. Storywise just imagine the edgy zombie stuff with porn in that. The classic madness, death everywhere, people loses their minds and mc with a couple of friends trying to survive in those.
>あかべぇの認証システムの詳細貰いました。 結論だけ言うと、未開封のみ買取です。 開封品を買うとクレーム対応で販売店が死にます
>補足すると、うちが弱小販売店というだけでは無く、 大手販売店さんも未開封のみの対応になる可能性が高いです。 中古で仕入れるメリットがゼロです。
which means less people will pre-order this game because they can't sell their copies after they played it to the second-hand market. not everyone can afford to buy a full-price game and keep it somewhere in his room.
They might got enough pre-orders for this game since they didnt mention anything like that so far, but I'm pretty sure that their next game will sell less than this, or at least definitely have less pre-orders. In addition to your post, some people just sell their games if they didn't like it, and without this opinion I dont think they'll buy just blindly without reading some reviews first.
You can see it in CG gallery on Maitetsu's webpage. Or I guess you can't, since they block foreigners.
And yeah, she sticks out.
I tried most of the stuff he did
His writing is just far far annoying, he keep repeating the same shit forever and it's not like the plot of his game are interesting enough to compensate
And he actually seems to get worse with time, going through the first game of Rose Guns Days asked for much willpower.
And I don't what he has these days but everything he does seems to focus on bullying, guy has issue
Higurashi was great. Umineko started good but went to shit, and it didn't help that it was very arrogant and masturbatory on the writer's part. He basically killed any goodwill he'd earned with Higurashi.
Japs sure love this setting.
For the good, I thought the overall setting was nice and plot not bad, it easily could have been completely separated from the Sky setting though and should have been honestly, the original elements are numerous enough to make the story work and the stuff brought from the original Sky like Shizel, Kou or Rain are a shadow of their former self, Shizel in particular is nothing like she was in Sky and Kou is pathetic half of the time.
For the bad first the gameplay is downgraded as shit, the 3D action is really boring, I honestly had more fun with even Force than Zero gameplay-wise.
But the worse thing about the game is the writing.
I've been reading stuff in japanese for a very long time now, I read novels from every era very regularly and I am very confident in my reading comprehension.
But Zero actually made me doubt myself, it's the only eroge I played in years that forced me to regularly use the backlog.
The writer is just completely fucked up, the characters interact like they are psychic and regularly jump from A to Z in a conversation without rhyme nor reason, it's extremely...uncanny.
The protag also likes to insult everyone for no reason whatsoever, probably because the writer find it cool, and the other characters themselves act like a bunch of sociopath when they aren't being completely incoherent
So yeah I wouldn't recommend, if you want something to complete the experience you had with Dive 1-2, it doesn't
Has anyone else noticed that playing eroge JRPGs like Evenicle make it harder to get into non-eroge JRPGs? So many cute girls, but the fact there's no h-scenes or really any dating scenario with any of them makes it hard for me to work up interest.
Thanks for the review, that's too bad.
While Baldr Sky left me wanting for more, Dive X served pretty nice as an epilogue of sorts and it rounded up the experience well enough.
I guess I'll put it low on my backlog and play it if I run out of all the kamige I still have yet to play, especially since my Japanese is not good enough yet to follow rapid changes in topic that you described.
From the top, common, Hachiroku, Hibiki and Paulette's routes.
It's because she'll be animated. Probably drawn separately and then put into scene.
One revealed HCG is blowjob from Paulette and Reina and protagonist's dick sticks out like that too. You can guess it'll be animated as well.
I still think Falcom is one of the few that keep the old guard and still make fun games. Not every JRPG has to be a Suikoden 2, Terranigma or Chrono Trigger to be good anyways. If you think those are shit too, then you might as well fuck off to RPG Codex.
Can't say the same for Tokyo Xanadu, but yes I prefer Sen to Sora. Ao/Zero is still the best one in the Kiseki series though.
Still, calling Falcom is shit now is being too harsh especially when Bamco and Squenix are still around. Then again, I'm in /jp/ so I should've expected extreme opinions.
Dunno man, To be honest I think introducing a eroge in a fancy christian themed restaurant like this is a idiotic thing in the first place.
If you didnt see it yet;
It just wasn't the same without voice acting for the protag. I stopped reading before finishing a route.
>But Zero actually made me doubt myself, it's the only eroge I played in years that forced me to regularly use the bac
I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced this. I think I posted about it a long time ago and people just blamed my japanese
>Tokyo Xanadu is just bad story-wise.
Tokyo Xanadu story was all right if you consider the targeted audience. I would say it was pretty good comparing to other stories aimed at the same people like Genei Ibun Roku FE that got released recently.
I'm wanting to start supporting the companies now that I easily can, and am planning to pre-order Maitetsu. Anyone know if you can pre-order on sofmap.com and pick up in store on release day, or would I need to pre-order in store?
Games getting released on weekdays is pretty inconvenient due to work, so can't have it delivered.
I only finished two chapters but story wise it is clearly aimed at the young people audience like Tokyo Xanadu. There are creatures that called Mirage and they effect the real world and the only people who can fight them are chosen few that are called Mirage Master. Your power as Mirage Master is depended on your activity as entertainer in thr entertainment industry like being successful idol or actor make you stronger as a Master. It's pretty fun so far. Also the Music Video that they made just for the game is amazing
Gameplay wise it's on bar with Persona 3 and 4 and maybe better.
In that case I'll just stop by Akihabara on the way home on Friday and pre-order it. Not that I've used any of the other clear files I've gotten from those events when buying games.
Although I probably won't get there until at least 19:30, wonder if they'll still have stuff left.
Were there even any VNs that you fapped thoroughly to the CGs of before playing and still ended up enjoying, particularly the sex scenes? I'm afraid of having ruined some VNs for me because of that.
