Just finished WA2 Introductory Chapter and really liked it. The story is pretty good and the soundtrack is really nice. The problem though is that I took an eternity to finish it. I was reading faster by the end of the game, but it makes me believe that I should put CC away for a while.

I had this happen with TinkerBell's 喰ヒ人 even though my locale, time and date etc. settings were all changed to Japanese. The only solution was changing the system language, which is possible if you have Ultimate version of Windows or download and use Vistalizator (works with Windows 7 too) to change the language settings.

I've posted about it in the thread before, but I really enjoyed Kokoro Risuta. The text just felt very "smooth" and was enjoyable to read, the art style really appealed to me, and it had a great voice cast.

So I chose Alice's route first in Monobeno, and am on the after route now. Just passed the 精算 part, and they are talking to Himemiya in loli form.

The reason for the problems that occurred is being explained, and I'm not sure if this is a spoiler for Sumi/Natsuha routes. Is it fine to do the after routes before doing all the routes normally? Or have I spoiled myself by doing so?

Also, so many lolis in Alice's after route. They needed to find a way to put in some loli Alice sex, didn't they it seems. Not that I have any complaints.

Finished Alice's after route now. Didn't expect it to go as far as them having a child and getting married. It'll make things tougher when going to Sumi's route, maybe I should leave a day or two before starting it.

I feel like the title screen changing spoils some of it, since it shows child Natsuha hugging Sumi's child? At least in that case it'll feel happier than Natsuha sleeping for 7 years. Would have been better if it didn't display that until after Sumi's route, since now I know what to expect from the end.

Routes themselves aren't boring is what I can say, heroines are interesting (one has split personality disorder iirc) but the pacing is too fast in some moments. I liked the protagonist and star-crossed lovers theme, soundtrack and CGs are also good. H-scenes were a complete disaster for me though, badly timed, poorly done. Probably not. The only things Sca-ji noticeably wrote are the After Stories of Hayami and Otoha, and some parts of AaA (mainly the joke mini-game where the heroines play poker with the protagonist possessed by Baphomet). Everything else is pretty horrible, sincerely speaking. It was like there was some sort of agreement that every writer should try to copy Nijuuei/Moekan's abuse of short sentences and repetition into every dialogue, making worse something which wasn't already that good, so a lot of conversations would take a loop on the same matter with monosyllabic lines half the game. And the plot itself was pretty inconsistent.
Still, Hayami yuri H-scene in that After is still one of the best things I've ever read and was worth it for me. Otoha's isn't so good but it has this scene and other details (references) which denounces the writer.

For LUCT there is the fact that the english script is better than the japanese one (talking about the remake on psp here).
I know it may be hard to believe but it's true, I read quite a bit of comparison and while the english script has flair, the japanese one is generic as hell.
LUCT isn't bad game but gameplay-wise it has a lot of problems but the cool script in the english version make it seem much better than it is really, the japanese version doesn't have that so it just feel like a proto version of FFT in the end.

I really enjoyed the Punch Line anime, the real plot don't start till episode 6 though. And it gives you an ending that will make you look forward for the game. It's by no mean better than Ever17 or Zero Escape but it's defintily something only Kotarou Uchikoshi can write. If you do enjoy Uchikoshi works or even like Ghost Trick on the DS, I highly recommend this for you. Also the game will be the first collaboration between Uchikoshi and Nakazawa Takumi since Remember11 back in 2004.

The way the story develops reminded me of WA2 a lot but of course it's not even remotely as dramatic.
First of all the girls are completely different and more importantly they are friends so "dealing with the loser" is actually an important part of the story (imho the best scene of the game is about that).

Finally just finished 塔の下のエクセルキトゥス. I killed last boss in just one turn, what the fuck seriously.

Ending was pretty idiotic and simple, as every part of the game. Mc just said something obvious > everyone become like OMG WOW WHAT A GREAT IDEA > every problem got solved > ending. Man at least solve Elpis & Marianne's immortality problem like that as well, but they didnt even bother with that.

Other than this I still feel same as my other post, though character events gets a little better as you play the game. Marianne & Riko & Klarissa's character events were really good at least. It'd be so better if there were more events for them, and less for others.

And thats it I guess, in short its just a waste of great potantial. With a little better writer / scenario this'd be a hit for sure, since it already has great character designs & VAs and hot h-scenes.

So I finished 罪ノ光ランデヴー trial. It pretty much looks like a spiritual successor to ソレヨリノ前奏詩 although this one felt more interesting since it does a parallel to two Japanese fables and poses a question about the emotional impact of sad events over happy ones and hate bonds over love bonds. Most of the trial has a really nice atmosphere so it felt like a nice 雰囲気ゲー with nice art, although at the end it promises drama. I expect a similar progression to the past work (crazy main heroine, forgotten past, two side heroines) so if you liked that style you'll like this too.

I liked the main heroine from the past work (Towa) better though, but the end-of-trial cliffhanger made this heroine (Ai) seem like she's pretty damn crazy so I think I'll end up liking her.

Although if you don't like the new wave of minori games (Perseus and beyond), avoid it.

Finished Amakano second season, overall I'd say Kanade>Yuzuka>Ruika>Honami, route-wise.
Honami was cute but her ''conflict'', if in-character, was fucking stupid and went on for WAY too long. Kanade being an amazing wingman in her route helped.
Ruika's was good, but I honestly expected better, really sweet in general but the route didn't even last until valentine day and the actual climax feels rushed.
Yuzuka's on the other hand surprised me, she became more and more proactive during her route, in her own, eccentric way, which was adorable to see and I really liked how their relationship develops in general, pretty funny too with scenes like the 'no touch for three days (because one week feels too long) one'. Also, I really missed seeing a hajidere bungaku shoujo.
Kanade was overall the best for me, I liked her the best throughout, she was cute, earnest and really devoted, also a real hard-worker, her dream by the end of the game is also incredibly touching. Her route didn't have the impact Midori's had in the original, but it was close, at least for me, also the pacing was tighter. Her last sex scene was also amazing, take out the piss and is basically perfect for me.

Also the acoustic arrange of the op from the first game was pretty great, even if it playing during the climax of three out of four routes gets tiring.

Weird. Perseus was the best game for me. The lack of plot didn't really mater and the whole atmosphere made up for it. Game was comfy as hell with good music and summerly inaka mood.

I dropped soreyori pretty fast since it felt more like a "classical" minori game. The main heroine was also unlikable so that didn't really help.

I loved her, but I tend to like heroines with ドS vibes so I think that and the fact that Kusuhara Yui is one of my favorite eroge seiyuu made it for me. The drama was a lot stronger than Perseus, too, which is a plus for me.

Iam reading the trial right now, and Ai is my favourite heroine so far, I hate it when she talks about depressing stuff with straight face but she is cute, polite and considerate.
