Here comes the bundle spike.

In other news, the princess evangile wallscroll bundle has begun to show a quantity remaining(44). If we assume the minimum printrun quantity to be atleast 500(and likely higher at that) from doddlers words regarding why certain titles have not gained hardcopies and we assume said print to have been split evenly between the bundle and the nonbundle, this suggests atleast 200 evangile hardcopies have been ordered. Not bad for extra money.

As always, this tracker is powered by anonymous like you, so post order numbers if you got em'
>>
>>14567550
It's probably a minimum of 800.
>>
>>14567543
2 isn't done? The patch that was released was for beta testing, the game won't be done for a few months still. Aroduc has stated he intends to work on 3 but he also said he had two smaller projects planned so those will probably go before BB3.

I liked Gahkthun quite a bit overall. And I hope MG translates its fandisc, because it takes place a year later, so it's basically the epilogue of the story.

The one chapter that I thought wasn't very good was Chapter 10. Everyone else in the story acted like idiots due to Coercive Suggestion, but Amy and Jo weren't under it. Amy stealing her sister's fiance and then wanting to kill her for not being as cheerful around her anymore was just moronic. And Jo promised Neon she wouldn't try to steal Tesla from her way back in Chapter 5, but still asked him on a date and had sex with him. Considering what her sister did to her, you'd think she'd know better than to do something like that. I actually think Jo could've been a much more interesting character if they gave her a better story arc and didn't just have her as the other woman.
>>

Yeah but who's better, him or Ixrec?

I hope MG reconsiders those hard copy w happiness at launch. They both have the original game sales numbers and the popularity poll of the fan disc. It should add up well enough for a justified hard copy sale.
>>
>>14568725
A popularity poll isn't exactly a good indicator. Obviously the games that get on Steam will sell the best. Gahkthun and KnS2 had high numbers in the poll, but their sales haven't exactly been impressive so far.

Princess Evangile's sales data is definitely useful though. However they might still have a delayed hardcopy release in order to give them time to patch bugs that could be found at launch.

>>14567498
>White Album 2 - 17052/35275 (48.34%) lines of closing chapter translated
Why is this still on the list, when even Fuwanovel considered the "TL" bad enough to remove from theirs?
>>
>>14568748
I don't think multiple choice data is that far from the truth. The other polls are meaningless however since if you like 3 games equally you can only randomly pick one anyway.
>>
>>14568988
The poll offers the chance to win a popularly voted game for free. People might not want to pay for the game, especially a $45 one, but would be more than happy to vote for a chance to get a free copy of it.

I'm pretty sure what happened was that xero approached mikandi and mikandi looked at that muvluv kickstarter, saw the dollar signs, and jumped right in.

Though at least one of the parties are heavily invested in this, as they went ahead despite their prefundia, where they were heavily warned to temper their expectations(something they seemed to acknowledge with their goal cutdown).

Can I play BB2 without having finished the first? It was too hard for me...
>>
>>14569771
Why don't they do what sekai is doing? Tricking evn devs and Indies to work with them? It looks pretty easy judging from how many announcements sekai does on a monthly basis.
>>
>>14570058
They have a moral compass?
>>
>>14569703
If I remember correctly. Siliconera received a massive storm of shit from their audience after covering Mangagamer news, since unrelated to the news covered even, they found other contents of Mangagamer's catalogue to be objectionable. And thus saw it morally unfit and vile to publish Mangagamer related news.

In other words. Crazy people are trying to suppress them. That, or Sekai shills are trying to hog all the limelight by throwing dirt at their competition.
>>
>>14570159

No, the guy working for Siliconera who liked MG left or was fired or something. They always had a bias against games with adult content but only made exceptions for things staffers liked (eg. KnS or things staffers were working on fan projects for).
>>
>>14569958
No.
>>
>>14570159
I thought they covered some of MG's all ages announcements last summer.
>>
I don't understand why an adult game company would ever want to be covered in a non-adult media. It is like trying to sell boats at a car dealers magazine. Maybe you find someone, but it certainly isn't the right place to be.

At best you just get SJWs whining about ruining their perfect illusionary world.
>>
>>14570254
You don't understand why a business would want exposure and promotion?
>>
>>14570254
This is an especially dumb example because there's probably a good demographic crossover between people reading car magazines and potential boat owners. Just like there is between people reading sites dedicated to covering niche Japanese games and potential visual novel buyers.
>>
How often does MG advertise on 4chan's pink boards? Maybe they should think about it more often.
>>
>>14570414

We have before, but consider for a moment that most people (I'm sure yourself included) use ad block these days. Traditional ads just aren't worth it most of the time.
>>
>>14567632
>Aroduc has stated he intends to work on 3 but he also said he had two smaller projects planned so those will probably go before BB3.

>I hope to finish the script files themselves this week, and then it's cleanup and whatnot before back to the behemoth for the next probably 6-8 months, although I may announce it some time before then for… a number of reasons.

That doesn't sound like a smaller project,
>>
>>14570414

Mikandi actually posted about the effectiveness of their 4chan ads thus far
>the first run got a lot of attention. 0.18 ctr, 760 clicks, 422k impressions. Google analytics said 460 clicks. No backers tho

It's a hundred bux for 400k impressions. Pretty cheap, but not very effective.

Mangagamer did run evangile and eden ads in the past though.
>>
>>14567498

Why are the infinity titles not on steam yet anyway. they would be popular.

they must of made a shit ton of money on clannad, its sold because of its name.
>>
steins gate and chaos head seems not to be on too yet, huh thought that would make money.
>>
>>14571000
Marketing for G-senjou was garbage.

They had no announced date until 17 hours before it came out.

The 20 dollars for voices thing also pissed people off.

Clannad had a lot more advertisement and press coverage and was already famous.
>>
>>14571000
G-Senjou's release got a lot of poor word of mouth because they badly cropped the CGs and tried to hide it in a comically inept fashion. The Infinity titles are a licensing issue. And yeah, Clannad sold 11k units at $42 or more in a month, it's doing really well.

Who re-translated it? I remember it was actually not bad, just maybe not editied perfect.

Yeah, im not fucking playing that, its sad because I like mystery and they really do have story but the horror is not even horror, I read stephen king and its is just plain gore. Im guessing 2 left off at a cliff hanger, again? how? Was 2 good I mean who is he chasing at this point? actually dont say maybe say if they are actually needed and it turned into a huge trilogy. Im guessing we are getting 3? Sadly these games actually come out really close too release and whoever translates them is really good.

Milf autist, every time I attempt to educate you out of your persistent retardation, I regret it. Why do you even care about translations when you don't understand basic English?
>>
>>14573994
They didnt poach root double, they hired them to fucking work on it. They started it and skipped 12riven because of it.
>>
>>14573994
You should educated him on how to reply to multiple people in one post. Fucking retard can't even do that correctly.
>>
>>14574000
You are making random shit up to fit your own inner narrative based on your own admitted ignorance. You constantly complain about not knowing what's going on, but are here saying that you know better than anybody about what's going on. Go back to whatever dark corner of the internet you come from.
>>
>>14574000
If they hired them to work on it, then why is part of their kickstarter buying the translation off of them?
>>
>>14574093
Sekai is just using the kickstarter to get their investment back.
>>
>>14574127
Right, so your assumptions are that Sekai paid them to do what they were already doing, and is now lying about it, and the translators wouldn't have translated the game they were already working on except for Sekai promising to pay them later.
>>
>>14574136
They were working on 12riven before, not Root Double. They dropped the 12riven project to translate Root Double for Sekai.
>>
>>14574152
This is not true. Why do you think this is true?
>>
>>14574152
>There may also be some of you who might be concerned that this will get in the way of our other projects. I can assure you this will not be the case. Though we are currently working on Killer Queen, we will still be finishing our translations of I/O and 12Riven first. Root Double, on the other hand, depends on whether or not Xtend (the PS3 version) gets a PC port, so our project of that is essentially on hiatus while we wait for news. The longest we’ll wait is two years at maximum. If there’s still no sign of a port by then, then we’ll translate the original PC version (and possibly see if there’s a way to include the content from Xtend). That said though, when that time comes or if Root Double Xtend does indeed get a PC version, that will come first regardless of what we were doing at the time.

In your world, literally everybody is lying about what they were doing, when they were doing it, and their motivations for doing it.
>>
>>14574185
It's a sane assumption. You can't trust anyone on the internet, especially if money or fame (even imagined) are involved in any form.
>>
>>14574185
Didn't they take down their other translations as part of the deal? If they release anything else they were working on, it will likely be officially.
>>
>>14574185
>>14574053
>>14574093

Well they did fucking remove all their translations from their page, so yeah they were hired by sekai who got the rights to sell I/0 and root double and got rid of the others just in case they could make a deal. So if you ask me they stopped 12riven, made a kick starter to make money and show that people want it, then sell the project on steam.
Its not really fucking that hard to think about.
Does it matter? not really because the team is really good and they are fast. the only problem is now we cant get 12riven unless a deal is made, im not sure if its the same company who made root double and I/0.

The 600ish sales bracket isn't a failure or anything, it's slightly better than breaking even. I could see mangagamer doing kns3 if they still have ties to IG despite that flowers cucking, particularly if maria really wants to do it(since having a willing translator, an available license, and a title that is likely to break even at least trumps just about all other factors).
>>
>>14574445
Each sequel is selling less, so it's really not likely to break even. And you're assuming that they have infinite resources when they obviously don't. If the choice is between 2-3 nukige or shitty little Steam doujin things that are all going practically guaranteed to make a profit, or one sequel to a game that barely broke even, both taking the same amount of total translation effort, they're going with the former every time.

They're not doing Shin Koihime either, despite knowing that'd easily sell double what KnS or Gahkthun did (eventually). The effort is not worth the cost and HOPEFULLY breaking even, not even being confident of that, is a poor aim for a business.
>>
>>14574445
>it's slightly better than breaking even
It would more sense to license a game that has an all-ages version that could be put on Steam. KnS3 isn't happening for the foreseeable future anyway, since IG doesn't plan to focus on it until Flowers is done.
>>
>>14574460
>Each sequel is selling less

Cartagra isn't a sequel and KnS2 sold more than it.

>And you're assuming that they have infinite resources when they obviously don't

They don't have infinite resources, but the resources they do have make their choices independently. As I said, if maria wants to do it, it'll probably happen. Evospace doesn't just dictate what titles everyone works on, they all more or less pick from what's available and they can make an argument for. It's the sole benefit to working for such shit pay.
>>
>>14574445
>The 600ish sales bracket isn't a failure or anything,
Considering it was reviewed on Kotaku?
600ish sales is a total failure. Just imagine KnS2 sales if it wasn't reviewed on Kotaku.

Occasionally (see the voices in WAS), but it's pretty rare. He prefers to dance around the truth as much as possible, like
>Are you releasing the adult version of Grisaia?
>Sekai Project will be releasing the full version of Grisaia that was released in Japan without any cuts.
or
>The trial version was full of errors. Are those going to be fixed in the final version?
>We have brought on additional translation resources to ensure that we're releasing a high quality product.
or
>Do you need to do a Kickstarter for this mostly completed project?
>We have calculated the monetary requirements for this project and believe them to be an accurate sum for what it takes to localize and release a game that the fans want.
or
>Are you using the fan translation?
>The fan translation will not be released. We have many people going over the script and will be accepting translation assets from an outside source to assist in our effort.

It's only when he's backed into a corner that he lies and then a month later pins it on the Japanese devs.

I've checked VNDB, but sorting through the wealth of tags and VN they have is a little daunting.

Can anyone help me fill out the list I'm making of translated VN with actual "gameplay" to them?

1) Rance 1-Kichikuou + Sengoku
2) Big Bang Age
3) Bunny Black
4) Widenyo
5) Dungeons & Dolls
6) Slash! Thrust! Burn!
7) Toushin Toushi 1+2
8) Kaeru nyo Panyo~n
9) Little Princess
10) Mamatoto
11) Eiyuu Senki
12) Girlish Grimoire Littlewitch Romanesque
13) Tears to Tiara 1+2
14) Kingdom
15) Most of the Monstergirl Quest series
16) Galaxy Angel series
17) Castle Fantasia
18) Utawarerumono
19) Kamidori Alchemy Meister
20) Sakura Taisen 5
21) Eien no Aselia
22) Gadget Trial
23) Piece of Wonder
24) Princess Waltz
25) Boob Wars
26) Muv-Love Alternative
27) Sunrider
28) Yumina the Ethereal
29) Shikkoku no Sharnoth -What a Beautiful Tomorrow-
30) Koihime † Musou 1
31) Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles Vol.1
32) Lightning Warrior Raidy 1-3
33) Kagura Douchuuki
34) Violated Hero 1-3
35) Men at Work
36) Brave Soul
37) Words Worth (The translation for this is MIA)
38) Fortuna (Same as above)
>>

Words Worth isn't translated, not even by Fuwanovel/Cudder standards.

Words Worth is very much a disaster tl wise. Same with Rance 1, and how does Muv-Luv Alternative have gameplay?
You have the wrong Castle Fantasia game listed, the 2nd one is translated, the first isn't.

Actually(and I'm going to regret posting this) here;s a list of all the gameplay h games I've played from my blog. Look through the list and decide what is a vn and what isn't. Oh, and also of note for the sonicomi preorder, there's a super special edition with a mousepad and fig. That's not anything too noteworthy on it's own, but given that the mousepad is never-before-produced and includes such a pricehike, I suspect jast/pcr is making it on their own. That means mangagamer could conceivably do mousepads aswell for titles that warrant it(since mangagamer is still using PCR which is jast)

I would say everything would be better if they did have a translator. But I guess the one positive thing localization has ever given us, was demosaic art.

If they fixed that law (or just went with the comic book approach of just a tiny bar on top) they could really run the entire business from home.

Maybe Lemnisca will translate a ton of other good vns after this with other companies. How about Chaos;Child and Robotics;Notes. Hopefully we do get 12riven.

I wonder what the PR department was thinking with that giveaway based on polls. You won't get "best 2015" you'll get "most expensive game people haven't bought yet 2015".

Had they had their forums up, I believe people would have pointed that out. Their forums seem to be invaluable as a common sense filter for their PR department.

Still amazed they made an all-ages single character wallscroll when they could have taken the two or three highest ranked characters in an ecchi scene. I hope they noticed I bought it so they would release more wallscrolls with better content, but it is hard to tell if they understand we buy crap to get good things.
>>
>>14583909
Don't celebrate just yet. Narcissu was looking like might fail there for awhile. And I'm sure that if Root Double looks like it's in trouble that several thousand dollar pledges will mysteriously appear to push it over the finish line. The same thing happened toward the end of the Narcissu kickstarter as well.
>>
>>14583909
It's well on track to meet its initial goal. I don't think anyone is going to weep because they're not getting the drama CDs.
>>
>>14583977
The $1,000 tier and above are a joke. The only things the $1,000 tier has that the $225 doesn't are a signed copy of the game and the fanbook, which will only be given if the stretch goal is hit and even then you can get one as an add-on for $30. These tiers only exist in case Sekai needs to bail this KS out.
>>
>>14584035
Well, it's no surprise. I can kind of understand that some people would be willing to part with that much money if it gave them a tangible benefit in the long term (for example, e-penis bragging rights in Star Citizen [if it ever comes out, lol]), but there's no way in hell anyone unaffiliated with the project would be donating $1000 to a random japanese game translation.
>>
>>14584096

>>
>>14584111

Kickstarter Goals:

Grisaia Trilogy - $160,000
CLANNAD - $140,000

Hmmmm...
>>
>>14584045
I don't know, man. I make roughly $1850 a month and I backed for $150 (+$10 shipping) even though I barely care for physical goods and the only benefit over the $100 tier is a poster. I backed because Ever17 and Remember11 are my favorite stories ever and I want to support Nakazawa, and I absolutely want this kickstarter to succeed (though it probably will even without me backing for this much). I don't find it hard to imagine that someone making several times as much money would back the $1000 tier for the same reasons.
>>
>>14584215
Okay, so you're above average middle class in income. Maybe even upper middle class in some regions. Now, imagine someone made ten times as much as you per month. That's already elite income class, bankster or mobster or something along the line. Why exactly would THEY back something like a VN translation when they could be busy getting sucked off by 1a prostitutes for half the money? Or just hire a Japanese student to translate it for them in their leisure time.

It's just inconceivable for me.

>I wonder what the PR department was thinking with that giveaway based on polls. You won't get "best 2015" you'll get "most expensive game people haven't bought yet 2015".

I don't think they truly cared about the first and second polls and were more interested in the third. Especially given that the third pill was all that any of them talked about on twitter. The giveaway was probably more of effort to try to recreate the interest that the survey last year had, which got a lot of news coverage and exposure.

>Still amazed they made an all-ages single character wallscroll when they could have taken the two or three highest ranked characters in an ecchi scene. I don't get why they didn't put the image used up to a vote aswell. Maybe they figured less lewd would be a larger sales base?
>>
You guys are really overthinking the best-of-2015 poll thing. It was mostly for fun. It's not serious, hard data and I sincerely doubt the majority of people were thinking that cravenly about the prizes––even if they were, the 1 vote/day thing makes it a pretty stupid strategy considering the volume of votes in the poll (spoilers: Evangile is actually that popular).

>>14584507
>I don't get why they didn't put the image used up to a vote aswell. Maybe they figured less lewd would be a larger sales base?

We had a deadline to get materials to print. There wasn't really time to run a second poll for the image. We selected one that was a middle ground between lewd and sfw to try to please both groups. Most people seem satisfied with it.

You thought wrong, on multiple accounts. He was the original translator for the fan project, but like always happens when he's involved, he overpromises, does nothing, and then someone else comes in to do all the actual work. That someone's now with Lemnisca.

That said, very little of the Steins;Gate fan work made it into the version Jast released. It was so poorly done that Makoto went through and retranslated around 75-80% of it.

>>14589094

Not really. But Blick Winkel thought both his and Steiner's fan work wasn't up to scratch for an official release, because people translate differently when you're getting paid, and so it was redone. He's also released some decent translated excerpts. The idea that what he submitted for Stein's Gate was trash, or that he hardly submitted anything at all, is fantasy. It was already discussed on another thread.
>>
>>14589114
>It was already discussed on another thread.

>>
>>14589122

1 - Ludo's by no means bad, he worked on Steins;Gate beforehand and is presently working on Chaos;Head NoAH. You might know him by his other name, Reading Steiner.
2 - ...Reading Steiner was so bad that all his work on the the Stiens;Gate project had to be completely redone, so good job shooting yourself in the foot there.
3 - That's not what happened at all. Blick Winkel (also a translator on Steins;Gate) believed that his and Steiner's fan patch work was not up to scratch and they redid it for the official release.
4 - @2 Confirmed for not knowing what he's talking about at all.

http://4chanarchive.net/threads/vg/Alicesoft-Rance-General/70391420

You sure about that?
>>
>>14589131
Your entire evidence is one guy, probably you, posting that he's not bad, and this, in some way, contradicts the mountain of projects he's released that have been full of poor quality, and the translations he's done that are full of basic errors?

Okay.
>>
>>14589141
Hasn't Reading Steiner been subbing tons of S;G trailers and videos on his Youtube channel? I haven't heard of people complaining about the translation quality there.
>>
>>14589171
And? Outside of here, almost nobody complains about Sekai Project's godawful translation and editing. It takes something to Hollow Fragment's level to get EOPs to even notice, and even then, they still dogpile anybody who dares call the localization garbage.
>>
>>14589141

Mountain of projects? Overstating your hand a little? His translations haven't seemed to be full of basic errors, that's not to say basic errors cannot be found in them, like they can be found within MOST translations. But he hasn't completed a mountain of projects, and what he HAS done has been serviceable enough.

You'll note there was no rebuttal in the previous thread. That's because the guy who said 'Steiner's work on SG was trash' was obviously pulling shit out of his arse.
>>
>>14589183
Well, I haven't seen people saying his Youtube translations are garbage as a piece of evidence for his translations being garbage.
>>
>>14589183

Lol. Most of the complaints from here are made by people from /vg/, who are without Japanese knowledge but will repeat what's been told to them because it makes them sound edgy.
>>
>>14589190
There is a rebuttal there. There's also plenty of rebuttal in the first archived thread linked, because what set him off is another one of his garbage translations being called out.

Second, if it needs to be completely redone, and then redone a third time, it's garbage. And you'll notice that for fucking everything he's had a hand in, that's been the case. It's not isolated mistakes. It's a serial pattern of constant errors, promising the sky, and delivering either nothing or garbage under the pretenses that he had to release SOMETHING and didn't have the time to make it look good.
>>
>>14589207

There's a difference between "garbage translation" and a "piece of garbage within a translation." Also, there was no rebuttal there, none with any weight anyway.

Second, no it doesn't. And I don't think you've ever been involved in any sort of translation work in your life if you actually believe this.

Third, there's been no history of constant errors. Although the 'promising the sky' bit seems to be what the community is actually upset about.
>>
>>14589224
There's as much rebuttal there as there is proof.

And fucking yes, if your shit needs to be thrown out, then you do it again and it has to be thrown out again so that it can be redone by someone else, your shit does not pass muster.
>>
Is root double doing okay, I really wanted to read it.

>>14589237
Don't worry, autist. The Kickstarter is just to line SP's pockets. It'll come out in March whether or not it succeeds.
>>
>>14589232

The onus of proof is on the one making the accusation. There's no proof that what he supplied was shit, there's also no proof that he hardly contributed at all, and therefore the accusation was called out as shit.

And fucking no, if your work needs to be redone it doesn't mean it's shit. Get a fucking job as a fucking translator and you'll see how many times things are fucking redone in the TL process. Either by you or by someone else. Until you do, shut up.

You not understanding English or inferring what's not there. For the record, most does not equal 'hardly contributed'.

>You're trying to argue yourself as an authority from a position of complete ignorance, not to mention conflating editing and refinement with having entire scripts thrown away. Try again, dumbass.

Arguing from a position of ignorance would be you. There has been no proof that what he did was 'thrown away', merely 'redone'. Try again, retard.

>>
>>14589275
Yeah, it'll get funded once Sekai gets desperate like they did with Narcissu. Although Libra no longer really belongs with this group with its bizarre revival.
>>
>>14589287
Wrong. Clannad's TL was 'redone' by your definition. Steins;Gate's translation was thrown in the bin, done again, thrown in the big a second time, and done by Makoto. Which is why it doesn't suck.

What kind of fucked up view do you have of the translation process where there are multiple dry runs to do things completely wrong until the last one that actually counts? That's the same bullshit Fuwanovel and Cudder spews about how all errors, even ones they don't know about, will be fixed at the last possible second. And it still doesn't negate all the other error-riddled shit he's released.
>>
>>14589326

What's strange is Libra did a pretty decent marketing job leading up to its kickstarter campaign. But SP mentioned them in their newsletter and they got an instant reaction. That's... weird.
>>
>>14589337
Why would SP's fans visit any place that would advertise visual novels?
>>
>>14589330

Again, no evidence to suggest the TL was 'thrown in the bin' rather then 'redone'. If you've got actual allegations, then bring out the evidence. Your hyperbole does nothing for your position.

Furthermore, you haven't established that Steiner did things 'completely wrong'. This is your assumption, and based on your history of assumptions, like the stuff in your last post, I'm not giving it much weight. Translations are ALWAYS going through multiple attempts, and yes they're completely redone in the process. VN companies don't really do this but they're not exactly a shining example of how things should be done. 'Redone' merely means taking something in a different direction, rewritten from a different angle, with a different tone in mind (etc) it does not have to mean trashed and restarted from scratch. It CAN mean that, but unless specified you don't have enough information to assume this.

His stuff doesn't seem to be error-riddled. You can find errors in them, but I've seen no evidence that they're completely filled with errors.
>>
>>14589337

Again, why don't you go ahead and have a gander at what kicked off his tantrum. It was him fucking up, a lot, and badly.
>>
>>14589479
So you're admitting that he's not a real translator?
>>
>>14589489

I thought he was just called out on a few lines, and him not being able to respond :S?. He doesn't seem to have done well on that project, but I don't want to be 'that guy' who denigrates his abilities based on a bit of a fuck up. I mean, we've all been there. I just don't see the evidence that he's consistently bad, is all.

I can't believe there is one guy arguing that having work redone multiple times doesn't mean the work is shit. Most people have experience of working in groups and there's always one fag that drags everybody down with their incompetence. Just because the end result is good, doesn't mean that fag did good work. That just means everybody had to make up for his failings.

Ludo, your confession (>>14588659) was already seen by everyone. Doing damage control now is a bit too late. Sure you "legitimately cannot recall making them", but we do.
>>
I'm generally curious as to how many people on this thread are taking part in this anti-Ludo circlejerk that have no clue what they're talking about. I know many people from /vg/ come over here to suck the dick of japanese speakers in a desire to be edgy, but it's staggering how few people on this board can actually back up their opinions with actual reasons.
>>
>>14590065
You calling yourself schizophrenic and admitting that your tl was shit is more than enough reason.

Also, Arunaru found shitton of very bad (machine tl/fuwanovel tier) mistranslations in all your works, if you already forgot about it. Its all readily available in archive.
>>
>>14590080

Case in point, assigning personas to others, falsely, in a sad attempt to strengthen your position.

I dispute the idea that Arunaru found a 'shit-ton of very bad mtls in all of Ludo's works', and furthermore I say you're talking out of your arse.
>>
>>14590087
> I dispute the idea
Of course you do, after all you conveniently forget about all evidence presented 5 minutes later after looking at it, as you confessed yourself. Archive is available, go educate yourself.
>>
>>14590097

Once again a tangent, because you have no clue what you're talking about, and won't know what your position is until a Japanese speaker comes here and tells you what you should think. What a good little sheep you are.

I know what Aru said, I dispute the idea Ludo's anywhere near as bad as you're making it out to be. In fact, I'm looking at a quote from Aru right now.
>>
>>14590119
Your schizophrenic blabbering doesn't even make sense. Please take your medications already, it will get worse if you keep skipping them.

So did this game have sex scenes or are they getting cut out? Is the translator good? Is the story good?
>>
>>14590199
It's mediocre and poorly received in Japan. The sex scenes are probably the most worthwhile part.
>>
>>14590199

They advertised that they had 'professional translators with experience in film and books and other departments.'

The story is supposed to be pretty meh.
>>
>>14590199

They're supposed to have an experienced team of translators working on it, and the script will go through multiple passes. That's what they said anyway.
>>
>>14590206
So I see they are giving a patch for the sex scenes also yeah It looks like it has a shit story.
Root double and subahibi will be the vns of the year, I dont see us getting anything as good as that anytime this year soon.

Actually about subahibi, whats the deal with it. Is it going on steam? because i hear the sex scenes are actually important. I dont think they will butcher it because its all translated already. guess if it goes to steam we can get the real version.
>>
>>14590199
There are 5 scenes per main girl, h-content is very strong there. It will be released as free patch/separate 18+ version.
> Is the translator good?
New guys nobody knows about. Short demo they released wasn't conclusive.
>Is the story good?
Matter of taste. As developer said himself, its kind of remake of Draculius (which he also produced), but with more focus on ero. Big factors are whether you like crazy chuuni developments with rising powerlevels and incoming apocalypse, and whether you tolerate indecisive piece of shit designated to be "protagonist".
>>
>>14590225
I don't really agree that the sex scenes are that super important, but I guess in one route, the excessively long sex bullying scenes are needed to establish the despair in her situation. At any rate, they're not going to cut that content and put it on Steam when it never had an all-ages release in Japan.
>>
This thread was so much better while milf autist was on hiatus. Why does he keep coming back despite swearing to never post here again?

What the fuck is jast doing anyway? will ANY of thier vns come out? like fucking Sumaga which is one the the vns that looks interesting and I hear its good. They should do more 5bp ports like root double. like choas;child and robotic;notes or are those on pc now. Of course.. fucking FullMetalDaemon MURAMASA which i have no idea why they arent doing it.
Any reason why jast is so slow?
>>

>>
>>14590292
Well for wannabe-chuuni it sure is pretty high on vn ratings, everyone hypes it up. Is it weird like in a chross channel way? root double gives me great hope for a good read before the next book of a song of ice and fire. Nothing the infinity guy writes can be bad. But thats because i like mystery,TWISTS, and sci-fi. The twists more so have to be done right and in a interesting way. Remember 11 was a masterpiece and his best work if you ask me. That moment when everything clicked and how you had to go back and put the pieces together with such a fast end.
>>14590304
No I will like it. believe it or not I like people playing and using interesting deep topics. I like Psychology and Philosophy, more so Psychology. I took a lot of classes in both.

Sekai just deleted my post on Facebook asking for accountability on their kickstarters. Never going to back them again.
>>
>>14591242
Can you repost it here, or summarize?
>>
>>14591242
All the angry posts on the Root Double KS asking about all the unfulfilled shit from their other KSes have been deleted as well.
>>
>>14591338
What? You can delete comments on kickstarter?
>>
>>14591348
You can report off topic comments and they'll be deleted by KS admins. Got to protect the KS cut of the sheckels.
>>
>>14591338
People who backed Grisaia digital OST got screwed, because Sekai didn't have the right to distribute it outside of KS. Frontwing put it uo on Greenlight, but it hasn't made it through, so they can't get Steam keys for it.
>>
I found an amusing comment on the Grisaia KS page. People want to know what's taking so long with the other games, and said they assume that the translation team should be working on it full time. Clearly they don't know that vn translation is a side gig at best.
>>
First 3 days (as tracked by kicktraq):
Narcissu: 33856 out of 75000 goal (reached 97550)
Libra: 38303 out of 125000 goal
Root Double: 33698 out of 135000 goal

Pretty funny how dovac thought RD would be a sure thing and even raised goal from initial prefundia target, but its doing much worse than Narcissu and Narcissu struggled with much lower goal.

>>
>>14591457
No wonder with their track record and past relations.
>>
>>14591445
A few kickstarters ago Root Double would've done much better, but Sekai has burned too many bridges with former backers to not have some negative impact from that. Either those backers haven't gotten everything they paid for yet, or the releases were not up to expectation. Seeing Sekai take on new projects when they haven't finished fulfilling rojects kickstarted in 2014 is bound to ruffle some feathers.
>>
>>14591427
Well, considering how far behind they are from their "all three games completely finished and physical copies shipped" estimate of October, how they've already started dropping a bunch of the stretch goals they promised, and how they're only just now about to start shipping the physical edition of the first game, which they said in May was going to happen in June, people have good reason to consider them way the fuck behind schedule.
>>
>>14591470
>how they've already started dropping a bunch of the stretch goals they promised
What have they dropped?
>>
>>14591473
The digital OSTs. They never had the rights to them in the first place, and shouldn't have been offering them anyway because they're already available merchandise.

They were also talking about dropping all the promised ports for a few months because they couldn't get (and still haven't gotten) the Vita go ahead. Supposedly they've started working on that, but it wouldn't be the first time Dovac posted that something was imminent and it turned out that literally no work on it had been done at all.
>>
>>14591338
I call bullshit on this one. I check the Root Double comments every couple hours, and I have not seen a single complaint about other kickstarters. Either dovac's really fast, deleting every post in the short interval between them posting and me refreshing the page, or you're a lying sack of shit. I feel the latter is probably more likely.
>>
>>14591731
Yeah, the comments there have remained uneventful and I've checked them regularly. It's likely made-up, which is silly considering there is so much shit to rag SP on that you hardly have to invent things.
>>
>>14590225
As anyone who has read Subahibi will tell you, an all-ages version isn't really feasible without rewriting large portions of it. Scaji has said as much himself, and also that he has no intention of doing so. So don't worry, your gay porn and dickgirls are safe.
>>
>>14591830
> your gay porn and dickgirls
> milf autist
I'm sure he'd care about bicycle scene much more than futas and gay rape.
>>
>>14591839
The best H-scenes in the game are the ones with inanimate objects anyway.
>>
>>14575390
Haruka's gameplay is shit but then again it shits all over half of that list in terms of 'game play'

Muv Luv has no gameplay.
Little Princess' gameplay is typing in commands like Look at Tree and Pick Up Sapphire. If you insist on counting it you should count YU-NO

Sharnoth's gameplay is pretty much an irrelevancy.
Monster Girl Quest shouldn't even be considered VNs (though neither should the Rance series for instance)

Dungeon & Dolls is not a VN in anyway. It's just a dungeon crawler with sex scenes
>>
>>14591830
>>14591839
>gay porn
What
>futa
Thats random as fuck but if its female on female I can deal with it.

What the hell is this game fucking about, It sounds like something that should be story based and refined. Why the fuck does it have all this weird shit? I dont get nothing out of vndb but its the end of the world and murders are happening.
also can i skip the gay porn, I hope the male protag inst gay. Im guessing he gets raped.
>>
>>14592669
It's just a little dick sucking by a cross dresser, nothing really that gay

It's not female on female, but at least it's not female on male pegging
>>
>>14592689
Wait what so its fucking futa on male, fuck.
I read that this game is more so yuri, so why all the gay stuff? Why not futa on female?
>>
>>14592700
Because delusions

Just play the partial if you're this curious
>>
>>14573994
I regret everytime you reply to him too.
>>
>>14592669
It's fucked up in the same way Nabokov's Lolita or Neon Genesis Evangelion are fucked up. The dark recesses of human mind is where you have to venture to analyze the really complex stuff.
>>
>>14592706
So its not actually happening or something. Is there actually normal sex with the male/female protags. seems one is a fucking dick that you have to play as in a tranny bar so im guessing thats the gay scene. Im guessing hes gonna have a bad end guessing from him being a ass or redeem himself. Sounds like a shit main perspective, or a original one (you playing as the bad guy).
do the protags (one from each perspective ) actually have normal sex, like does that otaku get with the smoking girl.
>>14592712
Well now i get it. but futa sounds random. and its futa on male, which its the worst one. The art doesn't go with what the game seems to be about which threw me off about what this game even is.
>>
>>14592669
The game is a mind screw.
>>
>>14592700
Only the first chapter is really yuri, after that it's not.
>>
>>14592732
Unreliable narrators and multiple personality disorder/possession, depending on how you interpret it[/spoiler.] Most of the fucked up stuff really happens though.
>>
>>14592796
Ah got it, I think thats all i needed to know.
It uses the "who am I" perspective im guessing. I like those but this sounds more of a non scifi (that means no star trek tecno babble/ dealing with sci-fi ideas like infinity games) mind fuck but uses more grounded ideas to make it pass. VNs seem to be able to do this so well because you could actually be someone completely different than you think you are, since your seeing the view from a first person perspective.
