Not sure what private trackers are all about?
The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
Check out the wiki and update it yourself if you want more instead of complaining like a fucking faggot. https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Private_trackers

Remember the following:
>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before.
>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>people may report emails and other personal info posted here to staff to get you banned.
>most of the invite offers here are people trolling you with false hope - begging for invites is a waste of time and you should just interview
>around 60% of posters here chat shit - don't make any claims about sites based on "something you read here once"
>Is this due to the recent emp opening?
pick one LMAO
>faggots from 4chan and rebbit begging 24/7
Been on a Bowie binge since he passed. Diamond Dogs is an underrated album. Can't say the same about this album, but god damn do I love this song.
Not a fan of the music, but my god that player.
What is it with weebs and design? See also: desktop threads
How do you clear HnR's on AB? I'm about to incur 4 or 5 of them because of some stupid bullshit that is out of my control. Can you buy them away with yen?
>there are people who are treating Emp like its PTP even though it was open reg for the longest time.
Seriously, why are there so many retards here? Emp was so fucking attainable back then.
Yeah it is pretty shit, I'm going to be computer-less for maybe a month. My shitty netbook bit it and I'm a peasant who lives paycheck to paycheck.
So if I understand you, I can just grab the torrents at any point in the future and seed them for about a week to make the HnR go away. That's a load off my mind if it's true, because I thought a HnR was a permanent strike on your account.
Got an empornium invite 2 days ago, i didn't activate it right away and now it says when i click the invite link "Error
Invite not found!"
Any idea what went wrong? It says it is valid for 3 days.
Lel, i wonder if it was because of the shitty @hmamail account I use.
I've used it for years but it understand it is not secure. Should probably get a real mail account to use on porn sites.
Or perhaps they were giving out invites to a few select people with good ratios on a competing torrent site?
Was looking forward to joining...
Or perhaps guy who invited me was banned because he was giving out invites to a few select people with good ratios on a competing torrent site?*
>accepting an invite from a random anon
You got what you deserve. /ptg/ does not endorse anything except official recruitment by staff members since that is the only way to be guaranteed an account.
fucking private trackers...
I'm beginning to regret getting into this shit. All I want is to get into PTP. But shit it takes too much work and maybe it isn't so bad waiting for SPARKS rips on RARBG a few months later.
What about artist, cover art, etc.? Also I think mp3s downloaded off Youtube are bad transcodes
That is why the genre is obscure and why you don't upload FLACs (they can easily be checked). If you also upload only MP3s nobody can transcode from you, so (hopefully) nobody downloads your shit.
This method is great if you are using what as a stepping stone
O0O we don't need you anymore, rent2pwn made a bot of you.
Filling a request with a shitty mp3 downloaded from Youtube is probably the worst upload mistake you could make. I don't know if they ban people for this but you're clearly marked as a shit user.
If you upload a shit ton of youtube mp3s, yeah, I wouldnt expect to keep my account.
I have been just warned with no other consequences, for mistakes I made. Uploading youtube mp3 is not a mistake senpai.
I just use what.cd as a search engine, the album is most likely on rutracker, to confirm it's the same I check the logs on What and RU, then if it's the same I download from RU.
I mainly just check filelist and filesizes.
HDBits is so fucking fast since the server migration!
>not removing a watermark with content aware fill, the clone stamp tool and careful redrawing.
I am going to make sure my next home has fiber so I can torrent like a madcunt.
Empornium doesn't need a fast connection to get buffer on, though. It's the easiest private tracker by far.
im just worried about the automatic charges that they supposedly do when they find you pirating stuff
even if they dont automatically charge you like my friend says I do know that they are HARD on torrenters when they get caught
although now that I think about it my friend uses frostwire all the time and he hasn't had any issues
/ptg/ what is your most-used tracker?
>im just worried about the automatic charges that they supposedly do when they find you pirating stuff
This only happens on public trackers when copyright faggots monitor the swarms. This isn't a problem on private trackers.
Do you even understand how people get caught in the first place?
>Atm I use MTV for latest TV and Bit-HDTV for latest movies. For older stuff I use BTN/PTP
I understand why you don't use PTP for new stuff because of seedtime but why BTN over MTV?
Empornium is more locked down now so it may not be a problem at all anymore. It never should have been open reg for that long and it needs to have SSL everywhere and they need to ban every bad user they can possibly find.
<muh buffer,muh ratio, muh stats :(
Yea, it has a huge and very active userbase. They don't need more useless plebs to fuck up the fun!
It's what they do, cause most are americucks with shit conn.
They have a big group of seedbox users, that's why the tracker is awesome, but that's it!(not cause of the regular/most users that pay far up the ass for shit upload that they can afford)
Those seedbox users need to use their seedbox or their monthly subscription will go to waste! So why bother?! It's not like we need to build a big swarm/torrent on a small userbase tracker, that's a joke.
I shit on your 20up, here's 250Mbps up!
Aussies, do you know why your connections are so shit over there? Geniunely curious.
I know a guy who lives on an island of less than 5k people off the coast of Washington State and even he gets 50 down and 10 up.
There's a couple of reasons but the biggest one is that our population is just too small for our countries size. Trying to get fast internet to only 20 million people over the same land space as the US is kind of expensive. If we had 4x as many people then I assume taxes would more easily cover it.
This too, very much this.
>yfw you've never received one of those infamous isp letters for pirating
>yfw you don't live in a cücked copyright shithole
Can I get into legal trouble for ripping DVD/CD/etc and distributing via torrent? How much?
given the fact that it could be a Criminal or Civil issue where you live it really depends, in the US i'm ppretty sure it's criminal under DCMA or whatever so you can go to prison and be charged damages, if it's just civil it will only be damages ($10 price of the DVD up to $10000+ or whatever if it is super crazy record/production company)
As noted above, it's super unlikely to be targeted on a private tracker. They mostly gun for idiots on public trackers.
>Can I get into legal trouble for ripping DVD/CD/etc and distributing via torrent? How much?
Yes, but that's very low-risk unless you are part of a release group or leak something that hasn't been published yet.
>They mostly gun for idiots on public trackers.
And they are entirely made up of people who:
1) Are part of a release group.
2) Have uploaded hundreds or thousands of torrents
3) Have a username on every torrent they upload and do it from home.
4) Leak shit before the actual release date.
In other words, if you anonymously upload an arthouse film from the 80's via your seedbox, there is a 0% chance of anything happening to you.
PTP had a deal with with copyright owners and they gave invites for no troubles.
Because that IDIOT doesn't get it!
Yea make one at home with your shit connection, baka!
Free seedbox when?
Meanwhile people are crying left and right about how it's impossible to get a good ratio.
Yeah, I sort of get the difficulty with the site but there have been enough personal-experiences and guides that nobody here should have any trouble
Only 100gb buffer, but I'm on australia-tier speeds and didn't pay anything for it
>The Adjustment Bureau - decibeL / x264 / 1080p / Blu-ray / DTS
Didn't clock that this was Emily Blunt. I was trying to think of things I've seen her in the other day and all. It's a good film all the same. And I think one of the better PKDick adaptions (although I haven't seen Man in the High Castle yet).
>Hanna - D-Z0N3 / x264 / 1080p / Blu-ray / DTS
A friend has recommended this to me a few times. I'll have to check it out soon.
>The Grey - D-Z0N3 / x264 / 1080p / Blu-ray / DTS
Based as fuck. Severely under-appreciated and darn /comfy/.
>It was ok
Yeah I'm not overly enamoured with it, but (based) Damon, and Blunt are good in it. For me, it plays down the supernatural/scifi angle a bit too much. I might just be a pleb though, because although I recognise Total Recall (old & new) probably aren't actually as good, I still prefer them to The Adjustment Bureau.
I'd like to watch Minority Report soon because I remember hardly anything about it and I'd like to rank it in the pantheon of Dick adaptations.
Pretty much the reason it's good desu.
Old Total Recall is the shit. But then again Arny is the basest of based.
I ALSO have Minority Report right next to me, that WAS pretty good imo. But again, based actor Tom...
COMMON THEME IN THESE.
You sound like a buying cuck or getting shit gifts cuck.
Based Colin was pretty good in the new Total Recall too, to be honest family.
Gonna stop saying based now.
But yeah, Dick adaptations seem to inevitably get good leads. Ford in Blade Runner too!
Also whilst on Tom Cruise, can we talk about how excellent Oblivion was. Saw that in the cinema on a whim and it was one of the best scifis I had seen in a long while!
Did Sinderella change URLs again? I can't reach the site.
Cucked up the ass with the worthless gifts, such a violent story I won't tell my kids.
Colin was fucking brilliant in In Bruges
Yeah, theatrical cut isn't as good, but I don't think it's AS bad as all that. Although, to be honest, I've forgotten most of the differences apart from the ending.
I find it interesting though, that Ridley's previous film, Alien, is way way better in the theatrical cut. The directors cut is shambles that Ridley did for utterly idiotic reasons. But I suppose that throws light on how he's doing things these days. I don't hold too much hope for these new Alien flicks, even if I'm a little hype.
>After uploading the torrent, you will have a one hour grace period during which no one other than you can fill requests with this torrent.
What exactly does this mean?
>tfw you recommend movies an people are talking about them a thread later

Some nice choices in here, m8.
>Jack Reacher - decibeL / x264 / 1080p / Blu-ray / DTS / Paramount Pictures | United Kingdom
Grabbed this. Saw it in theatres. It's mediocre desu, and I knew that when I downloaded it. It's o.k. but nothign special. Sequel mite b cool though.
Hey mate. Yeah, that is pretty much how I understand it too. He was asked to do a fresh cut for a boxset release with some additional footage, but he made some bizarre choices. Like, he basically cut lots of the atmospheric shots of the interior/exterior of the ship, etc. For a film that thrives off it's set design and atmosphere it's just a poor choice. But yeah, it's good to know Ridley reccs the theatrical cut too.
I'll do it. Cheers anon.
Studio rescanned it and touched it up at 4K on their end then downscaled it for the 1080p release. Looks better than just being sourced from 1080p to start with. GENERALLY. For exceptions see Ghost Busters where they completely fucked the lighting.
>>52700415 (me) was about BR still
Alien DC was shit, especially that extra scene where she finds the missing crew members.
What do you mean for what purpose? It's already happening and coming out this year.
Your /b/tard is showing.
Even 50 year old 35mm film usually resolves to at least 2K equivalent detail if preserved properly.
Niggers so I uploaded Macbeth to ptp http://passthepopcorn.me/torrents.php?id=137315&torrentid=405299
And some of you autistic whatcucks keep reporting me. I'm trying to be elite. I uploaded ctrlhd and some faggot says it doesn't work on some meme client so I upload hdmaniacs as well. Within the last 20min both have been reported as dupe. Nigga plz. I know it's one of you faggots as you guys are elite on whatcuck so plz stop. Thanks
How does this GP shit even work. You just upload as many 1080/720 encodes as you can until one gets GP then the rest are deleted. New to ptp and I've seen many torrents with 3+ 1080p encodes...
I'm asking you niggers this. wtf did I do. within 10 minutes I get a report as a dupe. Who cares let 312cuck lick my asshole stop reporting me you autistic assholes. I just want hdbits
>Kodak states that 35mm film has the equivalent of 6K resolution. Archivists generally agree that 4k scanning of 35mm is more than adequate for archival purposes. A 15 perforation 70mm IMAX film negative captures at an estimated 18K, which is the equivalent of 18,000 pixels.
mcadams told me to pm him the other morning (I don't live on kiwi time)
>not replying to any of you because idk and idc who is who
I have a feeling PutIn is back to shit posting again and Cara's likely drunk snapchatting "its" best bruce jenner impressions.
Can you PLEASE sent me a snapshot of BTN's Apprentice selection. I downloaded a seasons pack from ipt and after 7 seasons the quality hasn't increased from shitty pdtv or whatever it's called
You've never heard of The Apprentice? Really? It was a smart move ($$$ wise of course). Just him firing fuckers
Yeah Bush will hopefully be the rep candidate. The fact that Bernie sanders is tied with anything but a tree makes me want to ....
Hopefully Bloomberg makes a run
Because public trackers are littered with ads and popups, have little to no organisation, bad retention for less popular content, zero quality control, and plenty of fake/virus torrents.
Just joined pornbay recently, it is much better than grabbing torrents from piratebay and the like,
However the site is still missing loads of content that i expected to find there and a lot of stuff needs to be tagged better.
I can't bother with pornolab, it is too Russian.
I guess im stuck at pornobay until when/if i get an empornium invite that works.
i'm not you obsessed retard
