A remux is a direct copy of the (main) video stream from the disc put in an MKV container, so most video players can play it (as opposed to the untouched BDMV/ISO, which not as many media players can render)

A regular encode is a lot more common and a lot more compressed and will occasionally have "fixes" applied to it, for example covering over banding, etc

It really, really depends what you are looking for. I think for a lot of people it wouldn't be really useful, for others into say obscure experimental music it is very nice to have. Better than what? No, but a very nice complement to what if you are into what they serve, a lot of stuff you won't find elsewhere. Also there's a big following of dad rock + indie shit there, I couldn't tell you about the rareness of that part cause I don't really know much about those genres.

Well you only need one release so you don't need to worry about upload count.
If you have a blu ray drive, consider uploading an m2ts version of a film and that alone will get you halfway to PU (and you could upload 1 remux and 1 encode and get there straight away).

I signed up for pornolab but I dont understand ANYTHING

So I've got a 1 Gbps home connection, and I am using an orangepi (poor mans raspberry pi) as a seedbox. The LAN port on the orangepi is only 100 Mbps, but my max ever upload speed is about 5 MB/s. Would it make a difference if I get a newer model orangepi, which does have a 1 Gbps LAN port? Will it increase my upload, since I'm not even maxing the current connection I have?

Depends on the storage media you are using I suppose. A HDD in the sata port and the gigabit Ethernet should be able to seen in near gigabit speed. Assuming people are downloading at that rate. I have a good 100mbps connection but uploading but torrent uploading on private trackers never max it out. And I've been seeding to 10-200 ratio on various trackers.

I think it would help as long as it was a real SATA2/3 port and not a USB to SATA bridge. It might be better to try and find a cheap tower from craigslist that has a gigabit port and spare sata ports in the mobo. A pentium G series or i3 would be quite fine. Maybe even an older series i5 for eg.
