ITT: long hair discussions
Only if you are good looking as fuck. Because pretty much everything looks good on good looking people. However long hair (if executed well) can add bonus points because it sets you apart from other good-as-fuck looking men. But it's risky because your hair has to look really good in order for it not to take away from your good looks.
Thoughts? Wondering if I should cut it short.
Wow I really love that if you get it shorter please don't go too short. But you could pull off a lot of lengths
My question is how long does a girls hair have to be to be noticed as long??
Also curly or straight??
That seems the most reasonable
Thanks and yeah I've been meaning to get one. But they don't carry this type of phone case in regular stores and I don't have a credit card for online shopping
That's medium to short for me haha
Sup /fa/, I want to cut the hair. Gimme suggestions.
(blurred out face because ugly af, disgusting fat nose.)
I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get my hair to stay back. Usually goes back to hanging over my face, 30 minutes after taking it out of a bun/topknot.
My hair just out of a top knot, and pushed to the side so no longer in a mullet.
Can someone please post a picture of an (irl) man with this haircut? ty /fa/
My head was shaved on the sides before, currently growing it out, so the sides are much shorter than the top. My second semester starts tomorrow. How do I wear it so that I don't look like a complete autist?
Sorry for the shit quality btw.
Not trying to be a dick, but you really need to lift. I'm not talking about getting huge, just looking healthy. Your body as of now is disgusting.
Hair is too short to really comment on anyway
I have hair down past my shoulders.
I'm debating getting a Keratin Treatment to get it straight as its wavy as fuck.
I do a ponytail every day.
I feel like a neckbeard yet at the same time I can't let 5 years of work go down the drain....
I dunno what
Hair getting too long imo, thoughts?
Also, curly or straight?
This is my current hair, been growing it for a couple of months, unfortunately my hair is Pretty wavy and has tremendous volume, so it puffs up like an Afro. What do? Should I cut it short or keep on growing to see how it ends up?
Mine, I'll probably be going for a buzzcut soon though
Thanks man, some more can be found on my Instagram instagram.com/linoschwarz
Kind of want to cut it all off because 90% of the time it looks like shit and its just a pain in the ass but I've had it long pretty much my whole life.
I guess it's OK.
I don't really like short hair on me honestly though.
my hair is really frizzy but i think i can pull it off anyway
jesus christ you look fucking weird, and not in a good way either, like flat out ugly. You are not pulling off that hair at all. Also your hair looks to be of shit quality too. Please buzz, and hrow out your top while you're at it.
i'd say grow it out longer since you have nice hair quality, if it doesn't work out you will have a lot to work with anyways. right now though clean up your side burns and get rid of that shirt because its a bad color 4 u, i also wouldn't recommend crew necks with openings that small since they soften your shoulders
wish people didn't call it a "man-bun"
it's just a fuckin bun
are people really that insecure about masculinity n shit
realize my hair isn't very long, but I can't remember a time I've had it this long.
Normally I keep my hair short.
Mostly because at this length even, it's hard to keep under control and unless I use some hair wax it turns into a frizz fuck.
My question is.
Should I keep growing it out?
Do you think it would work for me /fa/?
A pretty basic cut.
Slightly longer on top then sides but I didn't go for the meme-cut and shave the sides of my head.
IIRC I got it cut in late August early September.
This photo is from early October, oldest photo I got.
That being said I did get the hitler youth haircut around December 2014. I liked it but well, that was about when every hipster and his brother got it.
I've got closer to a meme cut now. I usually get a 3 on the sides, so not terribly short. How is your hair growing out? Yours looks thicker than mine, but I can't get it past the awkward stage. I just want to try and get it to my shoulders.
yeah keep it up 'cause i can tell you're gonna be hot as fuck
you're pretty lucky 'cause some people lose weight and still look like shit but you're attractive already so i know you will be so surprised at how gorgeous you will look as you lean out
(former whale turned skelly model here)
It's growing out fairly normally honestly, as is it goes about halfway down my neck, but my hair is a weird halfway between wavy and curly, kinda big loose curls as it gets longer.
So if I pull a hair straight it reaches my shoulder.
The sides are a bit shorter though and are mostly growing thick rather then long. Goes down to the top of my jaw or so behind the ears.
Just a pain in the ass it keep it nice, if I don't take a shower AND use some sort of gel/wax my hair gets frizzy as hell and is impossible to control.
Which is the one thing making me debate growing it out much longer. Want to try something new, but not if I'm going to look like shit for a few months first.
I could always get it thinned a little bit on the top and sides but most of the places around here don't really know how to do that well, they almost always take some off the length as well.
Kind of in a limbo of decisions.
I do miss the meme cut though. I liked having the shaved sides of my head but without looking like a baldie either and still having something to work with.
Plus I could wear it up with gel or kinda flatted down for a more muted look.
But, I don't want to give into the urge just yet.
you look like God took his time sculpting out those cheeks and then started rushing a tiny bit when he did the eyes and then he said fuck it and just grabbed the nose and lips from the rejects bin and threw it all on there without any adjustments... like fridge magnets
not him but his longest hairs look like 5 or 6 inches and average growth according to science is 6 inches in a year but most people i know grow faster than that
i had 2 inch hair 18 months ago, now it's 16 inches and it's been trimmed
here's your reply
Thank you! I'm curious what you think would look better?
A flattering comparison! D. Byrne was a handsome young man. I think it's the eyes and eyebrows where you're drawing the resemblance
I know the feel. I wish there was a decent style I could maintain whilst it's growing but shit is just fucked
I have beautiful hair and EVERYONE cept my friends told me to let it grow.
but being lazy is way more /fa/ than long hair so I cut it and can now leave the house without caring bout whats on top
Completely unstyled. I guess I look like this on an average day. I kind of do want to cut it, but it gets way to curly and weird when it's short.
Cut ur hair and change ur style pls.
Ur not bad looking but u look like edgelord wizard.
U would look so much better with an relaxed memecore style(ur not the kind of guy who would pull slp or fashionista kind of guy) and with ur hair with a bettter trim.
But those clothers ar a no no.
Just grew my hair out, havent done anything to it.
hair is long now and did look nice but since i've moved home my hair has started breaking, most noticably in the shower, now on my forehead i have a alot of shorter hairs and it looks super weird, what do? I condition every 1.5 days and shampoo probably every 3 - 4 days, i think it's the water thats made the difference.
Anyone had simliar experience
As far as I remember at least three parts of my outfit are YSL in that pic, shoes obv. can't be seen and thanks man.
Glad to be an inspiration to you guys and here one more
can you show us , how long the back is or a side pic is good also .
bc my back is long while my front is not .
so do you cut the back so the front will eventually be equal to the back ??
Thanks man, not really doing anything really to be honest, washing one to two times a week, depending on how often I'm wearing a bun, and my girlfriends conditioner.
Just don't wash them too often and a day or two after washing they look like shit.
not sure if I should buzz it or kill myself
Same here, been growing it out since june from HY, so my front hair is longer than my back it looks awful without bun, got an appointment tomorrow i'll see if it can be saved or i'll just go HY again.
what is the best way to sleep with long hair? Bun/pony is pretty uncomfortable, but with it down I feel like I'm getting more oil on my pillow and face.
any other low key tips and tricks?
can we talk about brushes for a second? I have two but don't really know what characteristics to look for in a future purchase
Aveda Paddle Brush
Bumble & Bumble x Kent Brushes Paddle brush
made my own thread earlier, but it didn't get much traction. getting it cut tomorrow morning.
Used to be a lot worse. Within the last year I quit drinking soda entirely and cut a lot of sugary snacks and shit. Unfortunately, I've got a lot of acne scarring left over, but there's not a lot I can do about it. If you meant the fever blister, those come and go. It'll be gone in a couple days.
Thank you for the advice. I'm thinking about switching to contacts entirely, but if I don't, I'll try some round frames.
w/e, I'm already treating it, and like I said, they go away quickly. Plus, I tend to scowl by default, so I was trying not to do that. Anyway, it looks kind of gross for a couple days then it's gone. Pretty sure like over 50% of the population gets occasional fever blisters. Free shrugs.
Inspo comin through
you're gonna make it anon
yeah, I know. Just getting a lot of shit for it it seems. I'm honestly thinking of getting a haircut similar to this. Any opinion on long vs cut?
There's always someone who's going to hassle you for having long hair. The same thing is true for clothes, hobbies, etc. It's up to you whether to just not give a fuck, or conform.
Yeah, I feel you. I do like my hair long at its best, but I don't use any products, and it's hard to keep it out of my face and such, which is why lately I've just been wearing it in a pony tail and / or wearing a hat most days.
I guess what I'm asking is, if I keep it long, how do I keep it styled well? I'm still very new to caring about my appearance.
Keep it washed and conditioned. Shampoo a couple or more times a week (just not every day) and condition whenever it looks dry. Also get it trimmed every 3-5 months to keep out split ends.
If all else fails, ask a professional stylist next time you get your hair trimmed.
Alright. Not gonna lie, I've been on shampoo every morning and nothing else. Any specific brands for shampoo and conditioner that make a difference? Also how do I find a good stylist? Just use Google? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this shit. Thanks for the advice though, I'll give it a shot.
Damn. That is pretty steep. How long til it fixes your skin? Like 3-4 months I'd assume
but anon that's the same picture as last time!
get it together anon!
When I had my long hair, when I didn't wash it for days and it smelt like dogshit all the girls and women were miring the shit out of it.
After I cut it I realised I should of just used a bit of coconut oil and barely any shampoo. WHY DID I FUCKING BUZZ IT fuck.
It's gotten a bit long, thinking about cutting it
yes it is
my hair is like that too just get a fro n don't look like its growing until about 7-8 months then it lays down n looks good been growing it for 1 1/2 years now it looks boss if I wash it every 3 days or so lightly
always just liked long hair
any recommendations on how to add some volume to the top? I recently started using a sea salt spray (not in right now) and that helps sometimes but otherwise i really don't use product.
if i dont shampoo my hair looks greasy as hell but styles correctly. using any amount of shampoo makes my hair go completely straight and i end up looking like an emo high schooler.
Shit phone but I don't take many selfies
all I got man
been growing from short for almost 4 months now
thinking I'm gonna grow it to just below shoulder length and if I hate it I'll cut it back to this length
No poo seems to do the trick for me
Trying to grow it out right now
any tips for brushing and combing?
like, is there a particular type of brush that's best, and what's the practical difference, if any, between regular and fine-toothed combs?
If I grow out my hair it just ends up looking like pic related. Is it a lost cause?
I would kill for some waviness like in
honestly long hair is by far the greatest for me. I love going into the subway and glancing at guys with long hair it's usually what gets me to talk to them. long hair x100 i love yo..,u...,,
Used to be me.
What do you think? And yes, I'm a male.
Not looking good, but I feel that my hair won't make me look better regardless.
Trying to decide if I want to continue to grow or not
We share a similar issue. Tall forehead and looks bad in a middle part hence throwing it to the side. I 'm thinking of cutting it short. Considering your facial structure, short hair should look better since it seems that you have a squareish jaw.
You could. Loose some weight and you're perfect. Since you've got a beard you can avoid the awkward phases. But keep in mind it will take you about a year to grow out at least to cover up your ears from your current length
Dont forget to comb from time to time bro
Looks a bit unhealthy in that bun. You eating and maintaining your hair alright?
Jealous of dem genetics
The day you cut your hair will mark a new less free lifestyle.
Goddamn it this is exactly what i want but im dark skin and ugly as fuck. Fuck you and your attractiveness
>yo senpai what kind of cut you want?
>just snake my shit up
I cut it but I really regret it. It's easier to manage but being wavy it is unruly in pretty much in style.
so to follow up on
I'm thinking of an undercut type, or maybe it's just a normal haircut (shorter sides, longer top).
something in between 'normal' and a high and tight with a longer top.
am I crazy? While I don't mind the shoulder length thing I got going, I'm 37. Tying my hair back when putting on a suit is kinda meh.
Is it worth getting my hair thinned at my next haircut? I've got hair about 8 inches long at the front and 6 inches at the back, but its pretty thick atm and am thinking of getting it cut into something like pic.
It sits like this when wet, but I would like it to sit like this regularly. Is thinning my best bet?
