doing a video where i need longer hair
going from a buzz to this long, how long do you think it will take guys?
Did I cuck myself with the bleached hair or can I pull it off?
Yes, I did shave my neckbeard as well.
My hair is wavy and really thick, it's a bit longer now. I want to let it grow over the winter although I'm not sure that's enough time for it not to look awkward. Should I just go back to regular fade/2inches on top?
how is this one? my hair grew out and i need a cut again
Went with cleaning up the sides and thinning it out a little on the top. Happy w how it turned out
Just got back from barber. Was sporting a hy meme for a while but got tired of it, decided to buzz this time. Did I JUST myself family?
Trying to grow it out long (not had it cut for about 5 months) and I'm stuck at a shitty middle stage, how do I go about making this look presentable?
What the fuck can I do, I was bald about 3 months ago, so here's all I have now. It's a bit longer than pic related now (bangs are about almost halfway towards my eyebrows)
Okay, guys, I need help now.I have something like this on my head now ( jokes about topknot in 2016 ,yeah)and now I want a longer hairstyle. What can you think of to not shave it under three millimeters? or simply stands to grow further? Will they look good loose, if I continue to shave the back and sides?
really wanna grow it out to my shoulders, but tempted to shave the sides. Anyone else feel the same?
Depends on your hairline desu, in the pic it almost looks like a comb-over so if you want to keep the bangs I say switch em up a bit.
Also the hair just looks messy as fuck overall, you should probably get a trim.
Pretty much in the same boat as you except my hair takes longer to grow. I say have it vaguely slicked back and to the side, I'd take a pic of how I have mine but I'm on the first week of no-poo so it looks like shit.
Also, part it to the other side, I've read it makes you look more masculine.
Just got a trim, is it too short? My ears feel like they poke out too much. Looks like shit on top tho cos I'm just out the shower and not put any wax in
In my opinion i think you should keep it like that. If you really want to change it up the shaving the sides would be a good option because from i can see you have the face shape to pull it off
I think it looks awful, but my face seems to long to get a short cut
tell him to fuck your shit up
he'll know what you mean
Got a hair cut a couple weeks ago, should i get it thinned out, grow it or just buzz
my hair is so fucked. its extremely thick and naturally dry. when i shower i just let my hair air dry without touching it all all so it curls up, but if i comb it, it just turns into a frizzy mess and all the hair strands are really kinky.
i put anti frizz cream twice a day to get it to look like pic related. ive always wanted to grow my hair long, but i dont know if i should. if i grow it long, will it still be as frizzy and hard to manage? ive seen people with curly hair who grew it out and it was just slightly wavy
fuck this im done, you are clearly my doppleganger. Also you decided me to go to the barber today. Not decided yet, maybe keep the length, just a clean up to let it grow even more
Widow's peak and thin. Cowlick in back (you can see some hairs just flying around in left pic due to this).
Pic is hair without product, but I usually just part and comb over with a little pomade for it to stay during the day. Any suggestions for a real/better haircut?
Pls ignore beard it's only a month in and my first time trying it out--so far I'd like to hit 3 months of growth to see if cheeks fill in more before I shave it, if that helps.
what length of hair would look the best on me
pic on the right is when I grew it out. I ended up cutting it because it looked like shit most of the time
Pls give advice. I think i should just get the sides and back touched up since those are the ugliest parts but the top im ok with letting it grow out a little more. Or should i let it grow out longer to even out?
I have a decent taper fade right now, but I'm clueless on how to apply product and style it in a way like pic related, so I let it lay flat. Any tips on how to achieve this? Whenever I put on product it either doesn't feel like enough to make a difference, or makes the hair way too heavy and lay flat.
What kind of product do you use? Is your hair thick or fine?
I have very fine hair - if I shampoo it, it falls flat and is very soft, shiny and has no volume. So I don't shampoo and after a few days it goes wherever I push it. You could consider forgoing shampoo.
Otherwise I would dry my hair partially out the shower, rub a bit of wax into fingers, work it through the damp hair, and then blow dry. You could also use a bit of hairspray.
Fine hair as well, same issue as you with shampoo so I don't shampoo at all (just rinse hair).
What makes wax ideal vs pomade, clay, etc?
Also, the way my hair falls makes it easy to lay flat even with product. Any tips for getting volume?
Pomade gave my hair a wet/greasy look, and I could feel it in there if I touched it. I find wax gives a feel more like if you dried your hair after swimming in the sea, a dry, puffed up kind of feel.
As for volume, comb it back, then comb it forward so it stands up straight, then comb it back lightly on the top if you get what I'm saying. If you drag the comb through your hair to the roots then it will fall flat, but just push it back so it falls on the body of the hairs behind it
Hard to explain I guess but you gotta practice to find what works for you.
Nobody's hair ever looked great without them standing in front of a mirror for a little or a long while.
what can be done for my shitty thinning hair?
should I buzz?
Messing around with the idea of rocking a top knot. Super curly hair that I don't like at all, with another 2 or so months of growth I could tie the top back properly and shave the sides I reckon. Never had hair this long before though. Thoughts on hair goals? This is current attempt at seeing what I'd look like with it
Does this look okay for a short internship i have to do? I have no idea how to look job-able.
How do I get better volume in my hair because it always seems to sit like >>10832109
It's annoying and I've tried a few things but it never seems to work. I do have thick hair and even when it's thinned the volume never lasts. Any tips and tricks?
Always been pretty thin up there, but it feels like the hairline is getting worse as of the last two years.
Well, that's two for buzz it! Thinking this might be the way to go then. Think I can keep attempting the beard with a buzz?
>Think I can keep attempting the beard with a buzz?
It's just a matter of volumes, you won't really know until you actually buzz your hair. I think it will look good, just try to keep it clean and well groomed.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a Medium Hold, Medium shine product for mid-length (~5" currently, growing out) hair?
I'd like to maintain some flexibility throughout the day with a bit of shine. Everything I've tried either looks too dry or too greasy.
fairly recent pic, there aren't any good barber shops near my university so I end up going a few months between cuts since my town is in the middle of nowhere. any advice is good, main issue is that I have a fairly high hairline.
But yeah, any advice is appreciated, I've had a few good cuts but nothing really stood out before.
American crew fiber. Blow dry your hair into the sweep over, then reinforce with the product after working it thoroughly between your hands. Amount to use varies with hair.
Alternatively, go for a medium-strong hold pomade. Fiber works great for lighter hair colours - it doesn't have that oily greasy sheen.
too curly, reminds me of this nigga
tell me straight, is it trash?
my nigga the fuck are those headphones
hair is too long on the sides and too greasy in the bangs, give it a bit more care in the morning and get the sides trimmed and it'll look aight
you said it not me. Although if YOU like it then keep it. After all trends and styles are created when people wear and do what they want and not care about how weird/unpopular it might be.
Roughly how my hair looks without any product in it. I have that TIGI Bed Head Matte but I don't use it all too often. Any suggestions on cut/what other products I could be using?
some headphones i found at school on the ground, don't match my fit at all but they're decent enuff 4 me. and about how short on the sides do you think would make it look better? should i use more poo?
Hair is basically a bunch of waves
I got the sides shortened last month
But other than that I don't know what to do with it
lol what the fuck
your hair is dead
buy a moizturising shampoo, a leave-in conditioner and start using some moizturising hair products until it no longer looks like a thick mess of pubes on your head
THEN find a hairstyle
Need help, I have a receding hairline and its got to the point I can't cover it up without making it more obvious how bad it is. I've decided to shave it when I graduate but until then, any suggestions so I still look relatively young?
Already do both daily friend.
My hair is just odd, will probably post better pictures.
Hope you're having a good day.
Well anons, I went ahead and buzzed my head for the first time. Did a 2 on top and a 1 on the sides and back. Hell of a time doing a neck line in a double mirror, but I think it looks good. Maintenance will be a breeze.
I like it! Makes me hopeful for the beard as well, I can see it getting longer/fuller and me still having the same hairstyle--and if it doesn't work I can shave it off anyway.
I swear my cheeks don't look as shitty IRL as they do in the pic.
Thanks all for the advice, I really appreciate it. Might even take it down to a 1 all around next time.
You think? I was using the 2 guard (6mm) and sliding it all over my head (backwards and forwards to start, then I did a bit sideways). Only option I'd have is to go to my 1 guard and cut the top.
had long hair for like 5 years.
dont want buzz, and everytime i have kinda normal hair length it looks like a mushroom.
Thinking something at shoulder length but idk i dont know what to do.
anyone got any recs of hair products to achieve a look like pic related? i've tried various clays, putties, gums, waxes etc but they all come out too dry. only one that got the floppiness right was brylcreem but its very flattening and unpliable.
thinking about growing out oast shoulder length, but not quite sure, suggest?
I want to buzz, what do you think?
(ignore the 3rd world-ish background)
Looks like this wet, awkward as fuck when it's dry tho even with "wax". What product do I put in to make it look as good as possible? Similar to when it's wet
Haven't gotten anywhere with pomade
How to this hair
>very straight blonde hair
>limp hair but not thinning
>a little bit longer than pic related
Should I use mousse or just invest in a volumizing conditioner or something?
I have a middle part now will it look worse or better if u grow it out more?
Would appreciate constructive criticism. Just back from barbers
Been growing hair out for a few months, its getting to a point where i will need to start styling it but not sure how I want to go about. It goes down to my nose and is mildly wavy. Thinking about getting the sides cut short but my mom (ikr) doesnt like super contrast sides and top. Any ideas? (Can post picture if needed)
shorter sides? looks nice already
change the glasses, but I'd say grow out if you're not keeping it
Good god fucking advice pls
Originally just wanted a top-knot but now I want to grow all my hair out. Thing is it looks fucking retarded when the hair on the sides is long enough to stick out ~1 inch but the top is tied up.
I'm thinking about getting it all cut to the length on the sides, and then letting it grow from there. I work in a restaurant so I basically can't have shitty hair or wear a hat all the time like I do to class.
Cut it all and let it grow out evenly or just be patient? Hair is chin length on top
either wear a hat/beanie to cover it up until its at your desired length or cut it all off again, your hair is thin black and straight as hell so theres not much you can do with it imo
Can i pull off the Jesus look or am I actually just looking like a hobo?
Letting the hair grow, will shave soon.
here, what you guys think about this?
i dont know how to feel about it desu
would I look alright with shortened sides and back? Is top too long or just too long overall?
I will wait for your applause , groans and cries
I posted this in long hair thread. Basically I'm trying to grow my hair long like Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt style. My current hair status. Should I go for it?
for what i can see in the pic my hair is very similar to yours, and if im not mistaken theres no way you can grow it into something like that.
I have gone a little longer than that and the top kept gaining volume while the sides got blobby
sorry senpai, our hair sucks :c
Gonna go get a hair cut on Friday. Any suggestions on what kind of cut I should get?
looking for a change, any advice would help
trips of reality. I'm going for a haircut tomorrow :(
guessing it's a combination of salt water spray, his genetically thick and frizzy hair and some sort of inconspicuous wax with probably a bit of hair spray
tell the faceless man to give you back your face
Can we get some blonde hair inspo? Hairs at collar length at this point but I think I want to go short again, but I can't decided what to go with, been doing the bun or middle part curtains for the past two months
What hairstyle is my hair? Would help alot for searching hair products and such
you're definitely mixed/black, and from the looks of it your hair is completely fucked. I would recommend cutting it and restart growing it, but this time actually take care of your hair. btw u prob won't get any other useful advice from this thread bc of ur hairtype
Aren't you that white lady who pretended to be black?
But in seriousness not sure. You can try ironing it to be straight, but that will be your prison for the rest of your life with that hair.
Maybe try a few shampoos that will lower it or just go full out 70s afro with it.
I really like the look of my hair once I'm out of the shower. This isn't the best example but it's sorta patted most of the water out with some coconut oil as well. It dries and goes curly/frizzy. How do I keep hair like this all day?
What should i say to barber if i want hair like this.
Also does anyone know who this is?
What should I do with my hair now? I want a cuter cut rather then straight edge business man though.
post front pics nog.
last time i went for a cut i had something like this in mind and i asked for a 3 on sides and back and to just clean up the top but i ended up with a fuckin high and tight pretty much.
Wat do? I do plan to grow it out more. I've always gone with a buzz because its just easier with my thick hair. Also who does no poo? I've noticed my hair feels great after just washing it for a day or two
I just cut my hair really short so I thought of taking the advantage with the skin being so exposed. Are there any good products that keep the scalp moisturized? I have coconut oil, but that might be to much
I need some recommendations I don't know what haircut to get or how to style my hair, don't hold back.
I fucking hate taking photos to the hairdressers so if I want hair like Ricky from the voice how the fuck do I ask for it with just words?
Thinking about getting a haircut soon, hair is getting a bit long. Any suggestions for what cut and how to style my hair?
Currently, I just put some mousse or wax or some shit in it and just ruffle it, part it to one side.
Been rocking this for a month, don't really wanna change anything
Ha don't pay attention to the face paint it's just a good pic of the hair
The makeup was for a school event XD
Looks like shit desu
I'd shave the sides if I was you
U should probably shave the sides and comb it over
Could use a bit more gel.... Also shave the sides
Will look much much better if u do that
I would say that u should shave the sides, cut some off the top, comb the hair over, and load it w gel. Trust me you won't look so ethnic if u do that
condition with coconut oil, or mashed avocado (pre shampoo), and make yourself a hydrating spray for post shampoo, containing 5% of glycerin of whatever amount of water you put into the spray. For 100ml, this is about 4ml. Spray that on your hair after shampooing, it helps.
Aloe vera is also good for hydration. Basically look into hair hydration, hydrating needs to be done more frequently than nourishing (which is what the coconut oil/avocado is for).
I have long-ish hair that covers my ears and has a fringe to the side. I have it like this because my ears stick out a bit but im sick and tired of looking 14 years old. Anyone know of any cuts that are good but dont make ears too obvious???
what hairstyle should i go for?
(sorry about the messy hair)
I know I need the sides tidying big time, but going in for a cut tomorrow, what else is recommended?
im 18 turning 19 this is my last year of school
private school makes me shave sides off
how do i save this abortion of a cut
inb4 someone mentions my ear vaginas, the school doesnt care about that but cares about the hair...
Any advice welcome. Looking for a new hair style. :)
any advice on how to get your hair as wavy as this fool's over here? (https://www.instagram.com/lucasbin/) i have very straight hair, pretty much the same density he had on one of his childhood photos you can find on his instagram.
