This is the first issue entiretly drawn by Immonen. At first I was a little skeptical because I had exposed to Bagley's art but after a few pages I realized Immonen brings some serious game to his pages. I'd argue that Immonen is the more consistent artist while Bagley has better individual pages/moments.

I'm going to storytime his run till the universe gets rebooted in ULtimatum. Miles had potential and he still has potential but he's not going to get anywhere under Bendis His venom blast is the most broken thing I've seen in all of /co/ media and needs to be nerfed before he can be taken seriously. That or he needs a debuff in his strength or agility to compensate for the extra powers because right now he is character that can one shot people and it loses all sense of seriousness/threat. Weirdly, he's seriously written better under other writers

2 reasons. I'm going ask people not derail this into a politics thread.

1) to make good characters, a writer has to supress their own ego and allow the character to both be themselves, and to acknowledge the work of writers who came before them. Marvel has a serious problem with Writers who only exist as their Ego and cannot hear anything besides themselves.

2) the primary market that Marvel is going for publicly...doesn't care about the "content" of a character's character. All they care about is the "color of their skin" (in this case race/gender/orientation). They don't care if a person is a good person because of what they do or who they are...they only believe a person can be good based on what they are. Any instant that a character has flaws, it becomes an act of "racism/sexism/x-phobia" meant to "slander" the "perfect" character. Unfortunantly, you can't have interesting characters without having them be flawed in some way. But when those "flaws" are labeled "hatred and bigotry" you can't put them in. Their "audience" also cannot suppress their egos enough to "hear" a character and get to know them. They judge them purely by their race/sex/orientation and as long as those are the "right" things...then that character is perfect just the way it is and doesn't actually need content.

I know some may disagree, but these next few pages with OSborn's narration about his situation are gold. He actually feels like a distinct version of Osborn with his own quirks rather than just Osborn on a Glider 2.0. His god complex and ego are significantly more present and at some level he's right. He was the creator of Spider-Man and his Oz formula is truly revolutionary. He also states that his lab that created the Oz formula was one of the most capable labs on the planet so he is by no means a pale imitation of someone like Justin Hammer. Oscorp could probably fare off against Stark Industries.

DKR is a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, its story works perfectly within the universe Nolan created. On the other hand, I went back and read the 3 volume omnibus of Knightfall and...yeah. Nolan's story doesn't even come close to how awesome that was. But two of of three is good enough I'd at least give him a chance to produce some good villain movies, though maybe leave them for character drama. That's why i think he'd be good at a Kingpin movie, but maybe not some of the more active heroes.
