Despite what Ann has said in the past, she clearly likes being with the symbiote.

I'll never be able to look at this story with any kind of objectivity cause I have a huge nostalgiaboner from spending summers at my grandma's, re-reading it at least once a year. Was in a double-issue with Venom: Tooth and Claw
I love it.

Along Came A Spider actually has a pretty fun story. But the art is atrocious, though.

That second panel must be a mistake. It makes no sense to have She-Venom say that.

I wonder if Trad Moore used this cover as reference for his artwork in Venom #150 (specifically for the wedding panels for Eddie and Ann).

Took me forever to realize the logo on his chest just has the same colour as the surroundings...thought he twisted half his body out of the way and that bit was see-through.

I -think- its that the black dude is making a like a puckering expression from having his face squeezed.
>>92106779
That actually says a lot about both Ann and Eddie's personalities. Especially with Ann, in that she clearly has an addictive personality and wants to experience the symbiote, but is morally opposed to it because of what she's seen/heard Eddie/Venom do with the symbiote (i.e. murder).

God I love this story. Thanks for posting.
>>92107032
>>92107036
That would be pretty weird. But there were all kinds of silly references in 90s Spidey comics. There is an issue where Ben Reilly prevents Bruce Wayne's parents from being killed, for example.
>>92107057
Me too! I wish there were more issues with Ann Weying in 'em.
Fun fact: Ann was originally planned to be a reoccurring character. The original plan was to have Eddie and Ann pass the symbiote back and fourth regularly, keeping She-Venom as a regular thing. Clearly, Marvel scrapped that idea, though.

Since when could Eddie shapeshift more than hs clothes?
Wouldn't that've come in handy back in San Fran?
>>92107866
>>92107868
Technically, he always could. The symbiote can shapeshift any part of its body, so if its covering all of Eddie, it can make Eddie's entire body look completely different.
Punisher takes advantage of this ability in the What If? where he gets the Venom symbiote.

That's the end of Rune VS Venom.
Gonna take a break for a while and then be back for Venom: The Hunted.

Was "Hoo-Ha" some sort of obscure macho catch-phrase back in the nineties?
I've rarely heard've it until these storytimes.

Why is Ben a blonde now?
>>92108808
He dyes his hair blonde when he takes over as Spider-Man in Sensational Spider-Man #0. Peter temporarily goes into retirement and moves out of the city with MJ as they plan to have their baby. The idea is that Ben is trying to distance himself from Peter's life and establish his own identity and life.
At this time, it was also believed that Peter was the clone (which obviously ended up being false).

thanks for this OP

Symbiotes have always been able to do this. Just depends on how creative the host is.
Hell, Toxin was doing it for Pat all the time, when they went to visit Pat's wife. And when Toxin decided to be a dick to Pat (pic related).
