>Man what they did to wolverine was fucking brutal
Since this took place in an alternate universe, I wasn't that shocked about the fact that Wolverine took down all of the X-Men. He even managedto kill THE HULK in this story!!!In the mainstream universe, however, he would have been beaten by:
Rogue - she can just suck out his powers
Iceman - he can just freeze him.
Any telepath - they can mind control him (look at what Emma Frost did to Wolverine in Astonishing X-Men)
Shadowcat - she can just phase through him
Colossus - he could just hit him across the room
Cyclops - he could just blast him with his optic blasts
>>91820158
To be fair, Logan was in that berserker killing zone and would have caught everyone by surprise in suddenly just going batshit murder
westchester not bad
>>91820158
putting wolverine down a few minutes aint too hard; keeping him down is pretty much impossible when he's the protag; magneto is the only person who does it consistently
also Mysterio was probably dropping illusions on everyone who could no-sell wolverine at the same time.

>To be fair, Logan was in that berserker killing zone and would have caught everyone by surprise in suddenly just going batshit murder
Yeah berserker Wolverine is very dangerous
>>91820158
I'm more concerned with Mysterio being able to trick Wolverine. One of his biggest assets is his senses making him the X-Men that isn't tricked by holograms or robots or whatever.
Emma still looking young.

I'm guessing that after he took Magneto down he was feeling invincible enough to proclaim a rule that went like "If you can beat me you can take my place. C'mon you nigger bitches, just try".

That's why Mysterio is underrated. If writers could power-creep him even just a little, he could be making illusions of the most sick fucked up head images possible.
Children being ass raped by animals in the streets.
Nuns butchering babies with bdsm tools.
The smells of blood and feces everywhere.
Skinless and mutilated people charging around.
If he really wanted to, Mysterio could mind-fuck a lot of heroes. Even if he was beaten, the images and experience would be burned into the victims minds.

>>91827854
No Problem.
>>91828205
It was to good I freaking love it.
The thing about Mysterio tricking Wolverine is that he's not just a guy that uses holograms.
Mysterio was a special effects guy, like a stage magician, only with access to all the superscience tech in the Marvel universe, including holograms and robots and anything else he's got, his gimmick is faking things absolutely perfectly down to every detail so that unless he forgets something it's only Spider-Man and his Spider-sense that can tell something's wrong. That's why he's a Spider-Man arch.
It might seem stupid, but the X-Men were only protecting themselves against telepathic attacks so they aren't guarded against other forms of manipulation. Chuck really rewrote a lot of braincells to make sure no X-Men would ever be manipulated into doing something they weren't supposed to, but he only expected a telepathic attack.
But Mysterio's not a psychic, so his tricks get by all that. It's a psychic manipulation without the psychic part.
Back in the day, the mutant illusionists like Mesmero and Mastermind could also fool Logan's senses, and even telepaths like Jean, so it's not a question of having the senses to detect things when those senses are the things being manipulated.
>>91818648
Damn, that's endearing.
A hardass like Logan being sweet enough not to sacrifice a youth's childhood joys even if it means harder work ahead.
>>91821305

>>91821200
>They're all also inbred as fuck

>>91819779
I can't believe ghost rider became president
>>91830238
The X-Men expected mind control from a telepath, like always.
Xavier even reinforces his X-Men's brains with psychic safeguards to protect their minds from telepaths and trains them to recognize and resist being telepathically manipulated.
But nobody prepared for a technological means of manipulating them.
And Misterio isn't just a special effects guy, he's also a magician and has access to advanced supervillain tech, not just the stuff he first created but also all he can get his hands on from the super-science black market.
Anons are saying that Wolvie's enhanced senses should allow him to see past the manipulation, but it's his supersenses themselves that are being manipulated.

I would just like to point out that in a classic Claremont issue #200 the villain illusionist mutant Mastermind set the entire Claremont era X-Men against Cyclops and not only did he recognize what was happening, he evaded, defeated, and restored sanity to every X-Man without a single death before taking the illusionist down.
Wolverine sucks.

The only similarity is that Logan is older. It's not even set as far along in the future.

Daredevil's batons and fragment of his costume
Iron man's armor
Captain Marvel's costume and what appear to be his gauntlets
