Then it could as well be Stan. What do glasses have to do with being scholarly, how does he know whether or not it's literal or what any of them mean? Wheel was utter shit and I'm glad it got btfo

Wow there really foreshadowed the shit out of this.
Why did this show take almost four years to finish airing?
Ayo nigga, where the download at? I ain't got no cable n shit.
>I do agree though, the fics that usually have Bill in a redemption arc (well done at the very least) and attached to the twins would probably be significantly better than them trying to bring him back as some scary, serious villain.
I used to feel the opposite but it least in terms of the character we got in the end, a redemption arc makes more sense for fanfic. By the end he was like a pitiful angry child. That's why I thought of Peridot, who also made every attempt to kill the main characters before her redemption arc, mind. But cartoon bad guys reach that point where they're laughable and then are redeemed a lot and I feel like Bill hit that laughable pathetic point here.
I've already seen Bill resurrection fanfics by people who I guess assumed he'd die, you could do some interesting things where he's trapped in Stan's mind I guess or he's trapped in the statue of him, or he's somewhere else because they never completed the prophecy to banish him and all that. Magical creatures are easier to bring back since even on the show the "rules" of Bill were just make them up as you go along.
Still frustrated with the way the character played out overall.
>DISNEY XD IN CHARGE OF ANYTHING
>Mod kills the final thread just like that
Well, Old Mary Todd's calling and all that.
If you're not here when I wake up /gfg/, it's been a privilege
It's taken a long-ass time, but I'm glad to see it through
I didn't watch it, and I don't really care enough to, can someone give me a summary???
Man, Bill really was kind of a loser all along. What a disappointment.
You're my friend for life anon, nice trips and I'm gonna miss you.
I'll miss you guys when /gfg/ is gone for good.
I didn't dislike the finale. Ended kind of how I expected it to, and yeah, there could've been so much more, but it wasn't bad at all.
Kind of wish Stan had lost most/all of his memory, though, and Ford was just committed to taking Stan around the world in search of adventure Stan couldn't remember he wanted in a vain attempt to jog his memory.
>tfw no more Gravity Falls forever
has it sunk in for you yet?
I said it last thread but the ending felt very much like Persona 4 ending. I loved it.
God I feel so empty now that Gravity Falls is over. I got WAY too attached to these characters. Hopefully Alex Hirsch does pull a Persona 4 and bring it back one day and then proceed to milk it for all it's worth
>Invoke the ancient powers and I will return
>Bill Cipher statue out in the woods IRL
The episode was perfect to me, in every regard.
Gravity Falls and /gfg/ were, for quite a while, my only reason to come to /co/ and often 4chan in general. It was great, all of it. The mystery solving, the shipping, Manzi, the perfect ratio of meat and balls, the AUs. Maybe the hack/manlet shitposting not so much.
I'm glad I spent the time with you guys.

>Bill batshit insane form
>Mabel 110% not a shit
>Ford-Stan fucking up
>Ford-Stan bonding again
>the whole twist
>Stan recovers memory
>Soos and Melody
>Goodbye scene was on fucking point
>Paz lost almost all her development in 4 lines
>Some moments of the robot fight were way too anime-esque
>Wheel bait (again)
>Bill died too fast
>Stan recovered too fast
I think that's it. Solid 8 out of 10 at the very least for me.
well at least we have a million new CalArts clones to look forward to until Alex's next cartoon premieres
>mabel got to take home waddles
Mabel gets to keep Waddles. The twins grow up a little, but not to much. The town is restored and they can return at any time. Weirdness is alive and well in the town. The grunks have their relationship patched up like there was never anything wrong, Stan gets all his memories and the Stan o' War II, and Ford has new mysteries to solve. Soos' girlfriend moves to town and he inherits the Shack at last.
I can't handle this ending guys, there's too much unalloyed happiness. I honestly thought there'd be at least something bittersweet in the finale.
>if someone finds this, they'll probably win a fucking bajillion dollars
QUICK WHO LIVES IN OREGON
AND SO IT IS.
TIME TO PILLAGE OREGON FOR THE STATUE.
Well, you heard the man. It's time to go out like Dipper said and find Gravity Falls.
Welcome to ARG hell.
Good fucking luck faggots.
Check in and around Detroit Oregon
A long time ago I heard whispers that was where Gravity Falls was based on/where Alex and Ariel spent some of their summers, and that may very well be the place
>tfw the gravi-team falls totally put this statue in an actual place on the road trip through the pacific northwest they took
>"the pines twins' tale is done. now go make your own."
>tfw they want us to fucking find it.
i liked pacifica by herself, didnt even hate NWMM (even though it felt like pandering), but holy god did he fans get RELENTLESS in the past few months. they had cute moments, but it was obvious that they didnt have much chemistry and that shoving them together at the last minute would've been contrived.
with this sort of show its better to leave things open ended. the hearts that candy and pacifica gave dipper, or the hat wendy gave him, are good enough to satisfy all the ships great or small. besides, the poptarts and pokemon post should've made it readily apparent that alex had no interest in resolving dipper's romantic plot.
>Best girl won,
>Dipper and Wendy hat swap.
See you next summer."
I'm just glad Hirsch didn't sink possibilities for the future.
The whole time I thought it was a joke. The ending was so unbridledly happy and perfect, SOMETHING should have gone wrong, but it didn't.
Like, fuck, they could've given us SOMETHING. Some sort of vaguely ominous ending, but nothing. Everything is fine, and everyone is happy. I've never been more revolted in my life.
We're through the looking glass here, people.
>I KNEW IT WAS STAN'S MIND THE MOMENT I SAW THE GREY DOOR
ALSO WENDY IS IN DIPPER'S POSE
>There's chances of a Gravity Falls ARG happening
This is all I wanted.
And Bill isn't around in some way, despite Stan completely restoring his memories just like that. If the memory wipe didn't actually do anything then why shouldn't Bill be in Stan's mind?
Well this settles it. My next vacation trip is Oregon.
Alex made that last cipher thinking "Hah! This'll stump em for at least a day!

Episode was good enough and you are mad because it is an ending.
Yes some of it was shit but that doesnt mean it was shit the entire way through. Did you not get hyped watching it? Did you not feel sadness when the pines had to say goodbye? Did that robot fight scene not kickass? It was a solid 8/10
Go be a grump somewhere else tbqh
You forgot most important one: hand holding during the Stanford's circle scene. Practically a couple by Japan cultural standards.

So who here is downloading the first season? I all ready have most of 2 due to the /gfg/ threads when they came out.
Once the torrent is done Im going to redownload a few of the second season episodes in HD.
i couldnt believe it
i was sitting and the stream had lagged (it eventually caught up) and i saw the thread blow up
i couldnt fucking believe it happened. but it happened. just like we wanted. did they get the idea from us?
>that fucking fight scene where bill goes apeshit on the mysterytron
>episode was good enough and you are mad because it is an ending
I'm upset that the series is ending, sure, but that doesn't change the fact that the ending was full of plot holes and out of character behavior.
dude, delete that post, then re-post it with the spoiler box checked.
people are still downloading the mega.
I'm excited too.
I am going to be getting a lot of plastic resin and a toy t-rex for my next cosplay.
I'll see you again in 25 years
I'm more than okay with that outcome, I was expecting less.
From my understanding a combo of Alex&co biting off more than they can chew and Big Dis being a dick about giving it air time for whatever reason.
But this is all going off a really old tweet from Alex I read a long time ago. If I remember correctly, during one of the long ass hiatus's he tweeted something implying the next episode was done and he wanted to release it but Dis wouldn't let him because it would be more profitable if they waited or something. Might have been the summerween one. Had to fight Dis to get them to air it 2 months sooner than they originally planned.
Sounds like Alex was done with GF before season 2 even aired. He didn't want a 3rd season.
>Stan recovered too fast
Agreed. I get time restrictions but it came across as "He got better" since it happened so rapidly to me. Frankly I would have been cool with the ending of him only slowly starting to grasp who he was through stories, and Ford just kinda being his caretaker for the rest of their lives. Starting a new ya know.
>Not knowing it the second Ford brings up the metal plate in his head while they're both trapped in the same pyramid cell
what out of character behavior specifically?
Stan being an angry douche to his brother and stanford egging him on?
i will give you pacifica but then again alex dumped her as mattering after northwest mansion. And really she is still a pretty girl barbie rich girl at heart even if she can be kind and she even shits on her parents saying yeah they suck but even they don't deserve that.
The plot holes I can also concede. It was still a solid episode despite everything but things should have been a bit more permanant. Stan should have lost his memory but slowly gained it back as he and ford adventured around the world. That is honestly be the only change I would have made
I dunno, has 8 years of summer being long enough for you?
C'mon /gfg/... one last mystery to solve before we're banished forever.
Let's do this!
>Temple of Oculus Anubis
>Heaven’s Gate suicide cult
Holyshit. I haven't heard that since the whole Hale-Bopp comet's passing in the 90s.
>the ride hasn't ended yet
>in fact, now it transcends dimensions
I'm so happy.
>Alex goes missing tonight.
>Faggots start scouring that Anubis place in Oregon looking for the statue
>Hirch is standing behind a tree nearby
>Been standing there waiting since the finale
>It's been days, possibly weeks
>He's disgusting and tattered
>Pops out like a madman yelling congratulations
>Tell the person that he's all theirs to talk to or ask questions and shit
>The anon responds
>Alex Hirsch, you are a hack
>Take the statue, leave him cold and alone in the woods
>Cries for a good few hours
>Calls his mother, or worse,
Rebecca Sugar, asks her to come pick him up.
>Practically a couple by Japan cultural standards.
>did they get the idea from us?
eh, we probably just us guessing correctly.
We flung so much poo at the wall, some of it was bound to stick.
>Pyronica will never sit on you
For the anons upset about no Tambry
also reminder the 1080p will likely be almost 2 GB
GET THERE BEFORE REDDIT OR TUMBLR DOES
GO MOTHERFUCKER, GO!
WE MUST FINISH WHAT THE TWINS STARTED
i wish i could get a higher res image for a wallpaper edit but this will have to do for now
All of season 1 & 2, less the finale, which will be up later: https://mega.co.nz/#F!s0s3RSjC!GyouBkVOecdPOi96i-zPEg
>Frankly I would have been cool with the ending of him only slowly starting to grasp who he was through stories
That would have been nice. I mean, it makes sense he'd recover his memories of the summer (and Mabel and Dipper by extension) quickly because that's what Mabel had available in the scrapbook. But that doesn't cover his recollections of Ford or his life before Gravity Falls.
Granted, there was no time for it. But in a more decompressed finale, it would have been neat to show Ford and Stan touring across the country, visiting Stan's old haunts and trying to jog his memory. Maybe ending up back on Glass Shard Beach where it all began.
And then they could get on the Stan o' War and sail the world.
Do you honestly believe you can keep the secrets to yourselves on a PUBLIC image board? Reddit steals shit from 4chan. 4chan steals shit from Reddit. It's the fucking internet.
SONO CHI NO SADAME
Having characters who love each other have to say goodbye because growing up means change
If that's not bittersweet enough for you, then your hot topic mascara is running, Senior Grimdark
Stan is suddenly too stubborn and selfish to potentially save his family and the entire world despite all the shit he's learned over the course of the series.
Pacifica is completely thrown out the window for more dumb "rich people suck!" jokes
Bill is suddenly not only too stupid to realize that the person he calls "Six-Fingers" only has five fingers, even while going down to reach his hand and then shake it, but he completely loses his shit and lumbers after the twins instead of using his God-powers to just pick them up and make them stop. He also doesn't recognize the old gray door from when he was in Stan's mind, and he's also completely unable to escape from the mind of a fucking mortal despite the fact that he has complete control over the mind.
Then there's just the fact that the ending was so perfect and nice. I mean it's nice that everything wrapped up in the town (despite SEVERAL plot points being completely dropped and ignored, like Dipper's name, for example), but shit like Stan regaining his memory in 5 minutes, Rich people losing and poor people winning, everyone being completely fine and just ignoring what happened, the whole gay lover cops thing, etc. made it feel completely ridiculous. It felt like the show had suddenly been dragged down to kindergarten-tier writing where everyone's okay and nobody got hurt.
>YFW THE STATUE HAS ANOTHER MESSAGE THAT NEEDS TO BE DECODED
>YFW IT SENDS US TO ANOTHER LOCATION
>YFW ALEX SENDS ALL OF THE INTERNET ACROSS THE FUCKING CONTINENT ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE
i don't watch gravity falls but all your yelling has caught my attention. what's going on and who's trespassing where now?
Make sure your phone is in full charge and take pics.
They will screen cap the thread.
You will both the be the hero /gfg/ needs and deserves.
I love how after
Bill comes back holding the twins, they animated "Stan" with 6 fingers. All the cuts are too fast to count, but it was a great "oh shit" moment spotting it.
>I dunno if i can or should. It IS trespassing.
Well, I guess you gotta do it. Who owns the property? Maybe it's possible to arrange something.
If the gravity falls guys really hid a statue there I think they'd be okay with someone looking around the area. Like Disney would have to legally okay it.
Just go drive to that area and see if there's anything signifying a gravity falls ARG is nearby
HEED THIS WARNING
WHO IS FUCKING WITH ME!
This is only part of the mystery.
Now where is it exactly?
Gravity Falls is based off the town of Boring, Oregon so it would make sense that this would be hidden in the town right?
>Bill is suddenly not only too stupid to realize that the person he calls "Six-Fingers" only has five fingers, even while going down to reach his hand and then shake it
switcheroo stan has six fingers when they shake hands. maybe because of the glove, i guess
Stan has always been stubborn and selfish especially towards his brother
Stan was wearing Stanford's gloves with six fingers so there was no real way to know without touching
By the time he tried to leave Stan's mind it and he were being deleted.
Other than that I won't argue
It was a solid 7-8/10 though
Welp, nothing left to do but wait for The Loud House.
1080p is ripping. Should be up in about 30 minutes
>Having characters who love each other have to say goodbye because growing up means change
Nobody really said goodbye, though. Not even Mabel to her impractical farm animal pet. "See you next summer" and all that. Their friends are still waiting for them back in Gravity Falls.
When I said bittersweet, I was thinking of some kind of loss brought about by change. I guess I'd better touch up my mascara, because I thought the ending was somewhat underwhelming compared to the stakes raised in D&MvtF.
If there's anything there then it's not trespassing.
Do you really think Disney BROKE INTO someone's private property to arrange their internet ARG?
If this is a real thing then they are expecting us. Period. Think about it for a fucking second.
You know, people have been making the "lol One Punch Stan" joke over and over again but I'm pretty sure this is an actual reference to the OPM opening, specifically to this one part where Saitama punches a golden star thing and shatters it.
>group of anons searching for the final message
>all but one die
>last member continues quest, hanging between life and death
>finally reaches the final message after navigating the globe
>reads the final message
"Make sure to check out my new show on Fox! Thanks for all your support everyone!"
Eh, even if he didn't even fully remember the kids I'd have been ok with it. Like some other anons said, they were expecting/ thought a bitter sweet ending would have fit the story better (I do too) but I know at the end of the day it is still a Disney cartoon. Everyones gotta have a happy ending.
I liked the ending too, but idk it felt hella rushed. But not without good reason so I forgive them lol.
First of all, how does anyone know the statue is there?
Secondly, it looks like it was just a picture they set up on purpose to match the scene with the Bill statue out in the forest at the end of the episode.
I didn't notice the fact that he had Ford's glove, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't have realized something was up, especially when he grabbed Stan's hand. Bill is smarter than that; besides, again, there's no reason that Bill shouldn't have been able to leave. It feels like they just didn't know how to get rid of him and so they just gave Stan's brain plot-armor to kill off Bill.
I think the highest I'd rate it is 6/10, if only because I'm a real stickler for that kinda shit. There were a lot of really good moments, so while I wouldn't say that they balance out, nor would I say that I'm happy with this as an ending, I will say that I'm glad I watched it. Mainly because of this pseudo-ARG thing we've got going on right now.
He's either trapped somewhere deep inside Stans mind and is currently just laying dormant till he can really free himself
He won't do it right away because he already knows he's in deep shit
What 4 in the morning or 4 PM tomorrow?
Why the fuck did you say you're 30 minutes away if you can't get there for 9 fucking hours?
The whole fucking series finale was a huge anime sequence, Soos didn't mention anime at the beginning for no reason you know.
I know it's the end of the world.... but he's her cranky old boss. She can't be THAT happy to see him.
Was she using this as an excuse to jump on Dipper?
Keep in mind we don't actually know if it's at that gate that one anon posted.
It could be coincidence that a giant gate happened to be near two pyramids.
It could literally be anywhere or not exist at all.
You know that if there is anything related there planted by Hirsch that it is probably somewhere CLOSE to the property but not actually on it.
So trespass probably isn't necessary.
4 PM obviously faggot. And i just wanted people to know that i live in oregon. And unless anyone elsee lives in oregon and can get it, then i'm the best you've got. i ain't driving over there at night for some statue that may not even be there.
Not that anon, but why an axolotl? Why that animal of choice?
What if an axolotl makes an appearance in Alex's next show? What if he is going to be the Bill Cipher of that show, if not a way for Bill Cipher to appear in his show without fear of Disney restricting him without directly saying he's Bill Cipher?
So, what happens when someone gets the statue?
Anyone else want to become a Lumberjack, or at least get into Lumberjack shape?
That was supposed to be a good thing, though. Sure, I was sad when he went, but that's just because I'm a trianglefucker.
Maybe the backwards message in his "death" scene counts, though, since that sheds some doubt on whether he's truly gone for good.
