I remember when people thought that Mabel was this huge threat to Bill which is why he put her in the bubble, but in the end she didn't do much and the who bubble business didn't make much sense like what most of Bill did.

The second seems like rationalization and the first is still odd, Gideon said his main job was to "protect the bubble" and making a bubble for a person so that person will protect it is..well, circular. Also you'd think breaking him out of prison would be enough. And displaying it in such a prominent place is weird.

It would have been better if we saw him slowly gaining some of his memories, leaving Stan's fate in a sad, but hopeful state, since it'd be implied he'd gain the rest of his memories as Ford taught him of the past events and over time as he read over the old scrapbook instead of having all the memories come immediately back.

I liked that even though Gideon and Pacifica became good guys, they didn't do a complete 180 in terms of personality. People complained about Pacifica regressing or whatever, but one night doesn't completely undo 12 years of being spoiled rotten.

I feel mixed about him recovering his memory, on one hand it made Mabel's Scrapbook have a purpose and it would have sucked that he lost his memory, in te other hand that makes it kinda pointless.

Great finale nonetheless.

Most everything with the exception of the Stan character assassination and up to the magic memory deus ex machina, but the ending was so cozy that I forgive it.

What I mentioned above. It could have really tugged at the heart strings if they went through with the Stan memory death. But, with it being Disney, they probably weren't allowed.
That the wheel imagery was completely disregarded in favor of fake feels. But the scene where Stan reks Bill before he's completely erased was satisfying.
Bill's complete incompetence. It felt like he was playing with them up until that point, but even when he realized they could win, he still didn't get serious. He was so easily manipulated by silly tricks when he's been the "trickster" all series long. It was a bit jarring.
Pacifica's irrelevance and undone character development. Really bothered me, I was hoping she'd get a moment with Mabel similar to Wendy's moments with Dipper.
Same with Stan. He wasn't the badass who stepped up to the plate to protect his family like he's done in every other instance. I know he was bitter over his brother, but his character felt very unfaithful to how he'd been so far (I mean, even in the DnD game, he was eager to do what he could to protect his brother and Dipper. What happened between them and the Weirdmageddon?)

Am I mistaken or Gmpers was absent from the finale?

So outside of the Stan twins coming together and moving away, in the end nothing really mattered or changed. The world will never know what happened, Mabel and Dipper are seemingly just going to go back to bumfuck California and live like this adventure never happened, and most of the townsfolk are going to end up in whatever they were doing the summer before with the twins gone.

I'm really disappointed.

I think the STFU act was for appearing normal to outsiders. The townspeople were slowly gaining awareness of the weird monsters every since the blind eye was gotten rid of. In the Northwest Manor episode, Toby put a story about Dipper dealing with a giant bat monster in his newspaper. If it was pre-blind eye, Toby would have just gotten his memory deleted before he could make such a newspaper.

I liked the ending. Seriously. But fuck that "twist". I'd understand making new memories next summer, or maybe taking Stan without his memories back, or creating new ones with his brother, or working on a device to bring him back. But not what we were given. Instead od a dark twist, or a small light of hope, we were given a whole fucking sunshine and a pretty rainbow over the top.

Sad, really. I'm sad after the finale, but I'm glad the show is over. At least it didn't overstay its welcome, like Adventure Times.

When I noticed this, I felt happy but it still hurts.

Just watched the finale. I dunno. I feel bad saying I didn't like it....but I didn't like it. Really the only part I liked was Wendy and Dipper swapping hats. Not even in a shipping way, it was just a nice way of showing that the two of them are actually very close. Other than that though it was just so underwhelming and TONS of missed opportunities. I mean obviously it's a Disney kid's show so Stan wasn't gonna die, but still. Imagine how much more emotional it would have been if Ford had to go off by himself on the boat trip without his brother, largely because of his own fuck ups. Or at least if Stan hadn't regained his memories and it was a bittersweet "you get your boat trip...but your brother doesn't know who the fuck you are". It just felt like everyone got a happy ending, which wasn't at all what it felt like it was leading up to.

But then the credits happened and it kinda reminded me that the whole adventure was just great. A nice part of something I was coming back to whenever I remembered, to talk about mysteries and watch new episodes.

I had such a huge smile when these two popped up, it was the one question I wanted answered most.

The episode as a whole was pretty much as expected, but damn if that ending didn't hit me. I remember watching the premiere of The Time Traveler's Pig back in 2012 and getting hooked immediately; to see it all end really does hit harder than I thought it would, despite how rushed the ending felt.

I'll never forget moments like TMoGF sending a general on a scavenger hunt for the VoD leak of Fight Fighters or watching Alex dump his fake spoiler pics live on a thread.

So much has happened since then, I want to go back to the people and places so badly but I know it's all part of growing up. Fuck me if this stupid show isn't having an actual impact on my life.

There are Aliens under gravity falls with a planet that was pointed out to us. There are a lot of times where you can say, oh they could make a movie out of this at some point. The bubble also ensured that Mabel couldn't complete the Zodiac as well with the others, which (albeit that failed) was still good foresight on Bill's part. Bill covered his bases and he needed to make the deal with Mabel while guaranteeing the least amount of opposition possible.

Bill also thought he could use the bubble to trap those who attempted to rescue her as well, the bubble asking as a pseudo-paradise where her rescuers would choose to stay when comparing the bubble's reality to the bleak hopelessness of the outside world.
