/Trash/: when you hit rock bottom, it's only up from there
So we got accidental confirmation that Ironwood is alive and Pyrrha gets maiden powers, huh? Well, we already figured Ironwood was alive, but it was still technically up in the air if Pyrrha would be able to get the maiden powers. Now the question is, is she still Pyrrha?
I'll repeat what I said in the previous thread.
That was not really a spoiler. Even without the preview it was pretty obvious Pyrrha was gonna become a maiden. What happens after she receives the powers however is another matter. Hopefully, Cinder will defeat her and take the powers. Pyrrha keeping her maiden powers would be bad, character and story wise. It would make me criticize RT's writing. I don't want another Breach where everything works out fine and someone fixes everything with a wave of her hand.
>Pyrrha keeping her maiden powers would be bad, character and story wise. It would make me criticize RT's writing. I don't want another Breach where everything works out fine and someone fixes everything with a wave of her hand.
There are several hundred negative consequences for Pyrrha getting all the maiden powers.
>Jaune will apparently do something that will make people hate/love him
>Pyrrha confirmed to get maiden powers
Jaune's going to somehow make Pyrrha lose the power to save her life via a convoluted deal with Cinder?
It would make team RWBY and other characters feel less significant. Pyrrha would take a step up towards becoming the main character. Giving a powerful side character a power boost is boring and cheap. Even without maiden powers, Pyrrha is damn powerful. Who besides Cinder can fight Pyrrha when she has her skills, Semblance and maiden powers?
Cinder could use it as soon as she took half of Amber's powers.
Care to list some of those hundreds negative consequences?
>Care to list some of those hundreds negative consequences?
>Amber has been driven insane and comes along for the ride
>Pyrrha is revealed to actually be mentally unstable and unable to control her powers. Cinder is defeated not because Pyrrha did it but because she was in the vicinity of Pyrrha
Jaune is forced to kill a power mad Pyrrha.
Goodnight, asian RWBYg
May you dream of waifus and husbandos.
>Writers confirming stuff before it even happens
I honestly wouldn't have minded it as, while you say step up, I'd say step down. Pyrrha could take a sideline as they literally just have Jaune say "Oh she has maiden duties" or some crap like that.
At this point, we've seen for every Jaune arc, there has to be a Pyrrha Nikos moment. While I'm not saying I'd specifically want a Jaune arc, all I am saying I wouldn't mind one being resolved without Pyrrha. Him bonding with Ruby or Ren or even Cardin would be interesting as Pyrrha has become a crutch.
I'd actually really want to see him trained by Taiyang for some reason.
Hope he puts her down.
I could see it as something stupid though. Like he tries to fight Cinder to protect Pyrrha but this causes him to lose which makes Pyrrha give up the powers for his life.
Miles and Kerry are really bad about this sort of thing, probably because they know about as much as we do half the time.
A question about Ironwood's blatantly shady behavior? "Lol nope he's totally a good guy." (read: we have a basic outline of this character and we're making shit up as we go)
A question about the world itself like how the kingdoms work or what the deal with the moon is? "Sorry guys, spoilers!" (read: we don't know, we haven't thought that far ahead.)
That's a problem with Jaune and Pyrrha (an Arkos problem). Nearly all of Pyrrha's scenes are with Jaune. She exists in his shadow. Jaune hung out with other characters, such as when Ruby gave him some peptalk. Pyrrha doesn't get that. Arkos is a big reason why Pyrrha was made.
Even though they are call team JNPR, it's actually more like team JP. They are two teams in one. In team RWBY, all the girls get focus, some getting more and others getting less. In JNPR however, this only happens for Jaune and Pyrrha. Ren and Nora are mostly comic relief characters. You could remove those two and you would not miss much. I would love to have a Pyrrha and Nora girltalk scene, but that will never happen.
It's said that the show has no set protagonist, and that it is shared between team RWBY and JNPR. I say it is team RWBY + Jaune and Pyrrha.
This is partially of result of RT having introduced far too many characters in too short amount of time.
I still can't tell if Velvet is supposed to be wearing really tall boots or if she's got weird cuffs on shorts and is wearing some kind of body glove with attached flats. It seems to differ depending on the artist.
Which is why Pyrrha getting maiden powers would help. Her getting maiden powers destroys the balance of the team. Before she's unneeded. She can be Jaune's development toy sure. That was basically her only purpose in vol 1 and 2. And this ended in Breah...I guess.
But with maiden powers, she now has a purpose both in show and within the show. They could either show her less or show her more, either scenario both don't necessarily show Jaune in them.
But this is RT. They will still somehow definitely fuck it up where, even with Maiden powers, it is all exactly the same.
See, the issue here is they didn't MEAN for him to be shady. Not only was it unintentional, it was the complete opposite of what they were going for. I'm not saying they're not bad writers, but they must have been frustrated to no end by everyone interpreting their work wrongly.
Because in their eyes, it was completely obvious that Ironwood was always good, Blake being a faunus and penny being a robot weren't obvious reveals, and the Robot Leg thing didn't come completely out of left field.
You have to understand that this is a pair of inexperienced and low-quality writers who think they're good at what they do, and act accordingly. If the audience doesn't react the way they meant them to react, then that's "their fault".
Neath for RoosterTeeth CEO.
Different artists definitely interpret it differently, but I'm pretty sure going off the actual model that it's long-ass boots.
As far as I can tell, being a Maiden allows one to manipulate Dust without a catalyst like a weapon or having it sewn into one's clothing. Amber appeared to just be able to channel those powers, meaning a Maiden doesn't even need Dust or is just able to create it from the air on the fly.
>the Robot Leg thing didn't come completely out of left field.
It didn't, there were a few hints beforehand to the extent that there were many people theorising he had metal legs before even episode 6 came out
The rest of what you said is more-or-less true though
No, srsly, any drawfag can work with this idea?
They honestly wanted no-one to even suspect Penny of being mechanical until that one episode in Volume 2, which is why it was done so dramatically. Same for Blake's faunus reveal.
Like I said, they think whatever they write is automatically good.
They've straight up admitted that Nora and Ren are only there to give Jaune and Pyrrha an excuse to be at Beacon as students in a team together. They were never intended to be actual characters.
who cares, either way is adorable as fuck
Really? Do you have source for that? I believe you, but I want to read or hear it myself.
So they are basically the Scarlet and Sage of SSSN, who were also made just to fill out the two spots for Sun and Neptune. Great...
They're definitely boots. I've seen cosplayers do the shorts-and-tights thing for simplicity's sake, though.
well it doesn't help that as far as we know the only people reviewing their work is each other. As someone who has actually published some stuff you usually want like three or four people to review your work.
Never forget that Velvet became an actual character only because the fans liked her and demanded to see more of her. She was supposed only be bullied by Cardin and then never be seen again. RT even moved out someone from team CFVY to make room for her.
In short, she is a fan service character.
I need to see some more Velvet cosplays. Post em?
>Character that's popular with fans got bigger prominence
Oh that humanity!
All the more reason, if my love saved her from sinking into the abyss of irrelevance, I will make sure my love will save her from everything!
aren't you salty and unpleasant?
yes you are, it was a rhetorical question.
It wouldn't surprise me if Cinder has some kind of "insurance" in place to make sure Merc and Emerald don't turn on her.
You know, aside from the whole "she can blink and turn you into a ruined steak" thing.
>Cinder could use it as soon as she took half of Amber's powers.
I will take this as evidence for my theory that Cinder knew the Fall maiden before Amber, expected to be the last one in her thoughts and thus her successor, but something happened and Amber got the power instead, leading to Cinder's start of darkness.
She matches the team aesthetic though.
And I don't recall there being a removed fourth member prior to Velvet being inserted.
I don't really see the issue, as she seems to mesh perfectly well with team CFVY?
>penny being a robot weren't obvious reveals
That is less correct though, because they were actually upset with Monty for doing her fight in volume 1 because it made it more obvious than the two of them wanted.
As for a source on that, I believe it was either in the commentary for season 1 or was said during a live stream around season 2, most likely one after the episode with Penny's reveal was done.
>Whistling basketball tunes as they posterize Grimm
Sorry anon, I'm really slow. You'll have to grit your teeth and educate me.
anyone have the first part?
Wow, that's rhetorical talent, holy shit!
She was being bullied by a first year when her team consists of entirely overpowered individuals.
Like NPR ignoring Jaune's explanations on team attacks it's something they really didn't think the implications of through.
There's also the fact that a second year is in the same class as first years that she didn't defend herself seeing as her action against the grimm.
How do you guys think the upcoming fights are going to go? Will Blake overpower Adam? Will Ruby manage to take control of the airship back? Personally, I think Blake will only be able to defeat Adam with either Yang or Weiss's help, leading to an, "I'm not alone!" moment on her part, and Ruby will either also get help, or it will turn out that she's a Maiden and activate her powers, giving her the boost she needs to take down Roman and Neo.
What have I missed RWBYG? lurked a bit in the arhives only to fond shitpost and circlejerking.
>tfw my Color Fascist project had to be delayed
Oh, I was looking at the thumbnail. Then they're the Sailor Moon Tails. It is a look that is impossible to achieve in real life unless you're using braids to bunch up the hair, wrap the hair in a little cloth pouch thing, or just use a shit ton of hair spray
Thanks anon. At work so I couldn't look up the theme on YouTube.
Will we ever get a character with
Being a powerful person doesn't save you from insecurity or bullying of that insecurity.
As for the class thing, Beacon seems like a mixture between the college and high school systems. I'm the only senior in some of my underclassmen-dominated classes, Velvet might have just had to take that class later.
>You will never hang out with Velvet as she cuts and makes a cute half-shirt.
Your social behavior has nothing to do with your strength during combat
>There's also the fact that a second year is in the same class as first years
It's called "staying down a year" you faggot. I'm in my third semester physics and hear both third- and some first-semester lectures.
that puts the gay in "real gay"
Adam's going to begin to wreck Blake and he'll destroy Gambol Shroud. Then either Yang, Sun or Weiss (Or maybe a combination of them) will arrive and save her and they'll narrowly defeat Adam
Then Blake will take Wilt and Blush and get the upgrade Monty hinted at
Adam defeats Blake but spares her.
Weiss defeats a Paladin by summoning her knight.
Ruby knocks Neo off the ship. Not sure what she will do to Roman.
Cinder defeats Pyrrha and takes her powers.
The rest gang up on the Grimm Dragon.
No idea about Yang.
Fox is another Faunus and Yatsuhashi clearly has no issues protecting her.
And literately no one other than Cardin and his team who are seen by everyone as idiots is bothering them.
>Your social behavior has nothing to do with your strength during combat
Did you just skip the part that mentioned her team?
That's the big issue. They slotted her in, wrote one of the characters as being in his nature her protector and didn't even address what happened in the first volume.
It's just shitty writing.
Whoa there, dude.
Are you seriously looking for narrative issues in M&K-writing?
You got a deathwish or something?
You really think whatever character they allegedly intended to be part of CFVY would've faired better?
>wrote one of the characters as being in his nature her protector
Because of that one "I had Yatsuhashi look out for me" line?
Oh my, my english teacher would've LOVED your talent for over-interpretation of cheap shit.
/trash/ is new and if it's not linked, then report fags can't bitch about how it's readily available.
But you called it a "stupid move".
As in, RT made a mistake.
Not in RT created narrative issues.
Because I - and apparently a LOT of the fanbase - are okay with narrative issues to keep a beloved character.
And doing what the fans would like can't really be called a "stupid move" - especially not in a show not making any damn "3deep5u" demands from itself.
Yatsuhashi and the rest of Velvets team are different people who react to things differently. And do we know that the Bun is bullied in front of her team? It's very likely she doesn't talk about it.
>Because of that one "I had Yatsuhashi look out for me" line?
And that he stood in front of her during a spike rain from grimm.
He has obviously no issues with defending her, as does Coco.
So why would they have let her get bullied by CRDL.
The fact fact that people are actually trying to defend this is amazing.
Just recalled, Velvet's implied to be weaker than her teammates.
She's attending first-year lectures, letting herself get bullied, team RWBY was concerned for her well-being while she was doing the CFVY mission, and it seems that when facing regular battles, she just uses unarmed combat rather than her supposed superweapon.
bully the bun in front of her team is to court death
I like the theory that Ozpin fucked up the new student numbers for their year by fast-tracking Ruby into the school, so they just shoved Velvet in with a second year team who lost a member because reasons
Can't we all agree that it would've been better if CFVY were never introduced in the first place? They fucked up Breach, and have contributed nothing in volume 3, except lose a 2vs2 fight and Velvet speaking to Ruby. As I've said before, RWBY have too many characters. Too many were introduced fast.
You're pretty stupid for someone that thinks they understand writing.
You've already seen a full maiden completely fail outright, seeing someone get a portion of it when matched against someone that already defeated someone with the full deal is hardly a declaration of victory.
There's a difference between protecting your teammate in a battle to the death and patronizing your teammate in a social situation.
Viewing my past experiences with victims of bullying, Velvet told CFY "not to worry" and that she "can handle herself".
>The fact fact that people are actually trying to defend this is amazing.
Ah, the good old "I can't cope with their arguments so let's just make it as if they were inherently false because their opinion is inherently false because it isn't mine" joke.
Always gets me laughing!
I'm fine with CFVY. The only problem with them was their starring role in the Breach. It's not bad to have made them very powerful, they just shouldn't have taken so much focus from RWBY. Show them off, just not TOO much.
I really like their designs.
No, Glynda and the overall plot writing fucked up Breach. There was nothing wrong with CFVY showing up. Honestly, Neptune and Sun showing up and Jaune destryoing what little tension there was, was far worse for the scene than CFVY.
>"I can't cope with their arguments so let's just make it as if they were inherently false because their opinion is inherently false because it isn't mine"
What are you talking about? The arguements are being argued back.
If anything the people arguing for it working are the ones not able to cope because they keep throwing in head canon and other variables to explain why someone would let someone who is going to ride with them into battle get bullied.
>Honestly, Neptune and Sun showing up and Jaune destryoing what little tension there was, was far worse for the scene than CFVY.
I can understand Sun and Neptune since they were played as comedy relief but fucking Jaune.
I think you mean common sense.
Not everyone who is bullied turns around and runs to their friends and asks them to beat the bullies up. Just silently bearing it is a pretty common and normal response. The biggest problem with bullying is that it's hard for people in the position to stop it (Read: Teachers, friends) to even see that it is going on because people don't seek out help.
Seeing that people seem to hate CRDL and that they're the only ones with issues with Faunus somebody would have told CFY just to spite them.
> Viewing my past experiences with victims of bullying, Velvet told CFY "not to worry" and that she "can handle herself".
Except they're a combat team. Not a bunch of friends at school.
There isn't a difference. You protect them no matter what.
Are you seriously arguing about characters and writing in RWBY?
Didn't we all agree that RWBY is shit, their writing is shit, we don't enjoy the show, and almost all waifus a shit (except the Rubes) ?
Only the suavest Ginger to ever walk the earth, my friend.
I used the wrong word. I'm just saying that CFVY should have been in SSSN's place instead of a background team that shows up when they need to fill a scene.
>RWBY's issue is simply too many characters.
Pretty much. Naruto has too many characters too but the difference with Naruto is that they're willing to explore the backstories of most of them. We know more about Choji than we do about anyone on SSSN.
Except they're a fucking team of people who are going to go out and try not to get killed together.
He was pulling her ears in the middle of the cafeteria. He was making snide remarks in class out loud. Unless everyone except team RWBY and JNPR are utter retarded they would have noticed or someone who is also a Faunus or doesn't like Faunus bullying would have told them.
Is that a ...Femroman?
Oh I wish Roman was a girl. but would still have Haddocks cockteasing voice.
I enjoy the show though.
It has colorful character designs and fight choreography that's fun to watch and rewatch.
Well, Monty, Shane and Dillon's work, anyway.
A fine point.
I really like Choji, and the Sasuke Retrieval arc was my favorite part of Naruto.
>tfw you can sing along
Both are sort of BG characters. I mean neither team has done much this volume.
I do too, but we should never say it out loud or thread related happens.
Also Velvet's my waifu, but I don't care if she's the doom of RWBY, she's cute and I like her.
CFVY without a doubt. Their teamwork and power has been really prominent. SSSN might not be bad, but they're knuckleheads who can't work together.
If that means we get ffical art like Pice related I'm all for it.
>Someday Neath will give us our panty shots.
Hard to determine since SSSN has never seem to be serious as well as what they're all actually capable of, and we haven't seen what Fox and Velvet are really capable of.
Probably CFVY though.
I'm positive CFVY would win.
Fox would be on point taking both Sun and Neptune at once.
Coco would be shooting from afar.
Yatsu would be tanking and guarding Velvet until she finished taking pictures of their weapons.
Then she'd go into sage mode and body Sun with his own weapon.
Well I know Sun would be carrying the team, that's for sure.
Sun was good enough to get to the finals, at least.
It also requires longer episode time and less focusing on irrelevant details, two things the series isn't good at doing.
It's not something life-changing that alters the way I view the world, it's something I can kick back and enjoy watching. It's fun.
>Do you think that students at Beacon are preschool kids and have to hold a teammates hand at all times to protect themselves from strangers?
Have you ever had friends? Ever?
It's not coddling it's protecting them because you care about them.
In high school if someone was getting bullied and they were a friend there would not be any fucking around with "They'll handle it themselves." It was immediately "if you don't stop it we're going to do it to you and it's going to be worse because it's going to be six of us and as many cousins as we can bring."
Source on that? It's not like Neath has much say in the show anyway.
Still one of the best Yang pictures. I think it's one of the first I've ever saved.
Why is it so hard to understand that some people like to enjoy the simple things in life sometimes?
I love Pacific Rim, a movie entirely dedicated to fights between giant robots and giant monsters.
I also love
A Great Gatsy, Brave New World or a Picture of Dorian Gray.
>Fox taking on both Sun and Neptune
>Coco Shooting from afar
I really hope she's not shooting into the melee.
I'd say it goes Sun, Scarlet, Sage, Neptune in terms of power level.
Wait a minute...
They are really bad at being subtle, I think that's what RWBY is missing, something that surprises us. The closest they have been to it has been the Dragon Grimm and wasn't too surprising at all.
They need at least another more experienced writer to make that kind of observations. They wouldn't even have to pay him or credit him as writer, he could be just and advisor.
We assume because she slapped his ass.
and the name placement in CFVY.
For all we know Coco and Yatsu could be partners as well as Velvet and Fox.
The only partners we know of are JNPR and RWBY
>Have you ever had friends? Ever?
Yes, plenty. We don't spend every waking moment together.
I'm glad that you have some creepy codependency with your friends that requires you to be in line of sight at all times, but that's not how the real world works, guy. That should be pretty fucking obvious since Coco, Fox, and Yatsu weren't in the cafeteria at the time.
I'm sorry that you are a huge bitch and your solution to being fucked with was to go cry about it to your friends and your friends families, but Velvet isn't a huge bitch, so she didn't bother her vastly superior in combat team with it.
yeah it would have been nice to have team CFVY be mentors to the younger teams at the start of the show. hell I can come up with a side plot for them right now. velvet was a first year who got put with team cfy after their team mate die in a tragic Grimm attack, they resent her at first for replacing their friend but during their mission during the dance velvet saved their lives leading CFY to realise they weren't fair to her and try to make up for bring shitheads.
I assume they are because of the team name order. Also they tend to be paired off whenever we see them with the exception of the tournament match.
During the breach they paired off into Yatsu Velvet and Coco Fox for the most part.
Even though they're 4 person teams, you still have a partner on said team. It's why White Rose and Bumbleby are still the top ships in the fandom as opposed to the infinitely superior Labybug and Freezerburn.
>I'm sorry that you are a huge bitch and your solution to being fucked with was to go cry about it to your friends and your friends families, but Velvet isn't a huge bitch, so she didn't bother her vastly superior in combat team with it.
Honestly if you think it's being a bitch to go to your friends when someone is bothering you, they're clearly weren't that good of friends.Because if a friend came to me and told me they were being bullied, even if it was a guy I wouldn't think he's a bitch. Just that he needs help.
You're advocating allowing bullying if the person being bullied is unable to deal with it on their own. Which is why it still happens.
It's not codependence for friends to defend each other. And seeing as they live together, go to classes together and fight together they should by all rights be close.
>superior Labybug and Freezerburn
The fusion process with Amber will go wrong, all the students will be about to die, the Dragrimm will slam into Ozpin's tower, causing it to fall and collapse onto the school as Elephant grimm, level the town.
And then Glynda will wave her wand and repair the entire city.
Also Jaune will become the maiden because he is the chosen one and the last true descendant of the wizard. Except not really because it turns out that
Cinder's actually his half-sister.
Nothing of consequence happens.
Beacon is alright
The dragon Grimm is defeated easily
Ozpin take out like a punk
Emerald heel turn
Blake defeats Adam
No body learns anything as usual
Penny back alive
Totally agree. And that one is god tier too.
Arkos is a good example of how to develop a ship in a forced, rushed, awkward and unrealistic manner.
It's like reading a bad fanfic where the writer forces a canon girl to like his self-insert, and she starts liking him already in chapter 1. In chapter 2 they kiss.
They have yet to show us anything other than a sibling relationship.
>Not forced because M&K think LET'S PAIR THE FAUNUS TOGETHER is good writing.
Arkos is literally the only canon ship that doesn't make me want to vomit blood.
Arkos is better developed than all the other canon ships.
Well there you go.
Nobody ever fucking bullied me in Highschool because they knew my friends would step in and they were fucking Mexicans and Hawaiians and had absolutely no issues throwing down at a seconds notice even though they were the weirdo nerds.
Most people are too pussy to do that though so they let that shit happen.
I think it's weird. But it's just how it is.
Is Chapter 3 about revealing how the Girl was actually an Illusion of an ideal scenario the boy was under for some reason?
And the rest of the series is him resorting to desperate measures and horrible acts to get her back, despite her not being real in the first place?
And when he finally manages to somehow achieve this, he realizes how shallow and fictional she really is, and that she wasn't worth it after all?
Arkos is the only canon ship that has been developed at all.
Arkos will probably be the only canon ship for a very long time. It's happening. Pyrrha will confess to Jaune and kiss him tomorrow or next week.
I think this
>we're going to do it to you and it's going to be worse because it's going to be six of us and as many cousins as we can bring.
Is you being a massive faggot.
I get that you are easily triggered and need help from friends immediately, but Velvet clearly wasn't bothered enough to ask her team for help, or she would have. It is codependence to expect your friends to be keeping an eye on you every moment of your life. Just because you are close friends doesn't mean you never stop holding their hand. In the real world, people generally go out and do stuff on their own sometimes, and if they have problems during those times and feel they need help, they ask. And if they don't feel they need help, they don't fucking ask.
And if they are a huge bitch, they ask for help from a bunch of friends and their friends families. But honestly:
> it's going to be six of us and as many cousins as we can bring
not fucking surprised in the slightest.
>They have yet to show us anything other than a sibling relationship.
Is pretty much clear that Nora has a huge crush on Ren but is too afraid to act on it, and at least Pyrrha has noticed it. (Can't remember if Jaune has too)
Go read the lyrics for Boop. You will get cavities
Go read the lyrics for Boop. You will get cavities
So you let your friends get bullied until they kill themselves or they start cutting themselves.
You do realize you are arguing against stopping people from getting bullied right?
You know sometimes people don't ask their friends for help because they're ashamed, right? And stop acting like they believe that asking your friends for help occasionally is the same as having them constantly keep an eye on you.
You can do better than that, buddy.
I'm arguing that people don't always ask for help, and unless you are around then 24/7 you don't always know they need help. So if Velvet didn't ask for help, and her team was there to see she could use help, why would her team go and help her?
Weiss only liked Neptune because she thought he was handsome. She only wanted him for his appearance, and he came off as a cool dude unlike Jaune.
In truth, Neptune is just like Jaune. He's a shy and insecure guy who is trying to come off as a cool womanizer. He is one of the worst characters in the whole show.
In short, Iceberg is not happening.
That wasn't a blatant strawman that was what you are arguing for.
You called people who went to their friends for help immediately bitches. And do you know where that line of thought leads that if you ask for help you're a pussy?
It leads to people isolating themselves and hurting themselves.
>unless you are around then 24/7 you don't always know they need help
Word of mouth is a strong thing. Especially since they're going to what is basically a shitty highschool.
They weren't calling Velvet names or making jokes about her. They were grabbing her ears and pulling them.
She is being physically fucking abused.
It's not holding their hands if you put a stop to that.
What's good RWBYg?
Just started reading the Henceforward AU. I did not ask for these feels
As long as it's not him and Weiss together in a scene, I think Neptune's ok.
still ship white knight tho
>That wasn't a blatant strawman that was what you are arguing for
>So you let your friends get bullied until they kill themselves or they start cutting themselves.
I called someone who's solution to being bullied was to gather as many of their friends and cousins as they could a huge bitch. I stand by that statement. I also said (hurr, reading comprehension is hard)
>and if they have problems during those times and feel they need help, they ask. And if they don't feel they need help, they don't fucking ask.
Oh man, look at that. People can ask for help when they need it. But Velvet didn't feel she needed it.
>Word of mouth is a strong thing. Especially since they're going to what is basically a shitty highschool.
Apparently not strong enough. Did you go to some really small rural school?
There's been a two-hour makeout session between two anons, and I'm hungry for some Iceberg cuteness.
Lyrics seem to foreshadow some stuff.
I feel like they have hinted it through the series with things like "We are actually not together-together" and when Nora says to Pyrrha "Practice what you preach, Pyrrha." in Volume 2. Seemed like she felt the advice hit to close to home for her too. Nora and Ren mirror Pyrrha and Jaune in some way, and you know how much M&K like doing that.
Of course they are never get the same exposition or development than Pyrrha or Jaune, and that makes it more implied and subtle.
>I called someone who's solution to being bullied was to gather as many of their friends and cousins as they could a huge bitch.
Are you really still on about that fucking hyperbole?
>Finally able to check the thread.
Fuck this I'm out
Is really common for teenagers. You easily like someone because of how they look, or how they act, and don't care about anything else. Then at some point they do something, or you realize something about them that you can't like and get really dissapointed, and that kills the feeling for you.
I may be wrong, but after how bad he messed up with his flrting at the tournament I don't think we'll have Iceberg.
Just scroll up and look for big posts of people fighting.
>Did you go to some really small rural school?
No, I went to school in North California which seems to be the only state where people are willing to stick up for their friends.
Everyone boxed there or wrestled or did some other combat sport because it was mostly Islanders who migrated, Mexicans who migrated or blacks.
So yes I would bring people along with me because if people were bullying someone they weren't usually doing it alone and although I have no issues fighting someone one on one I'm not stupid enough to get my ass kicked by five guys at the same time.
What exactly is the issue you have with stepping in to defend someone who isn't capable of it themselves?
Here's just the picture too.
Imma need someone else to provide the MILF Pyrrha...I want that and didn't know we had it...
I forgot to actually call it, but I called it in my head. Blaine and probably Barb and maybe some other people are doing a shoot in RT Docs to see if they can survive a week with 1989 level technology. This is why some of them are off social media.
He mentioned that the second trigger of his gun does something which sorta could be interpreted as an indication of him being alive, but we knew that much from just the concept art.
>and if they have problems during those times and feel they need help, they ask. And if they don't feel they need help, they don't fucking ask.
>Oh man, look at that. People can ask for help when they need it. But Velvet didn't feel she needed it.
I'm sure you'll be able to read sometime.
My issue is with people who think that CFY would somehow automatically know Velvet needs help if she didn't say anything.
What sort of weird school did you go to where rumors and hearsay didn't spread at superluminal speed? Even if they didn't see it directly, that's the sort of thing they'd hear about eventually.
Also, I mean, we all assume Ironwood is alive because there was no body - and RT is not afraid to say somebody is dead even if they go off a cliff to ABTV, Miles said Felix was super dead when discussing the end of the last RvB season.
>My issue is with people who think that CFY would somehow automatically know Velvet needs help if she didn't say anything.
Every other post other than mine has explained why that's idiotic.
I think I actually mentioned why earlier.
>They were hurting her in the middle of the cafeteria.
>Literally in the middle loudly and as eye catching as possible.
Maybe if every student were in the cafeteria, and not a smattering of randoms from who knows what year and class that weren't paying very much attention. You know, like how RWBYJNPR weren't really paying attention until halfway through the bullying?
On a scale from 0 to /rwbyg/, how cringy is this ?
We have only seen CRDL bully Velvet once, right? Like, it could easily have been a one-time thing "Cardin is a huge jerk and slightly racist", and then off screen Yatsuhashi or somebody was like "yo bro do that again and we'll put you all in the hospital".
I believe more-or-less Gray's exact words were
>Wait until you see what his second trigger does
And Jen said
>I knew from the start that Pyrrha would be getting these powers-
Then she kind of trailed of and let the hosts start memeing loudly again because she realised she fucked up and didn't want to draw attention to it
Unless everyone in the school is as callous an asshole as CRDL someone would eventually tell them.
And seeing as only CRDL is the only team with a problem with Faunus and SSSN a faunus led team has fangirls someone would eventually tell them.
Right, but nothing says "you're a huge prick" like picking on a cutie like Velvet.
For me, it's not so much that Jaune beat an Ursa, it's that it was done in a comedic way, just randomly flailing his sword around. They wanted to play it up for laughs when they should have taken it seriously.
That's basically that whole episode, a joke that didn't it as intended.
>eventually tell them.
He was taken care of within a few days. We also have no evidence that Velvet was ever even bullied after the ear scene.
>And seeing as only CRDL is the only team with a problem with Faunus
Says who? Weiss certainly wasn't a fan. Dislike for Faunus is probably not uncommon, given the recent war, the white fang, and the discrimination mentioned in Oobleck's lecture. Remember that every other team we've met sans Cinder's is goody goody. Beacon has a lot of students.
>Pyrrha will confess to Jaune
are we actually about to have more of this confession shit
i thought they already sorted out their relationship last volume with the dance or whatever holy fuck are you kidding me
Do we need a repeat of the exact same Pyrrha Jaune bullshit every single fucking volume?
What about how Coco comedically defeated an enormous beowulf by kicking it in the groin and knocking it about with her briefcase like it didn't weigh a thing
That was nearly as bad as when she subsequently pulled out her minigun and permanently destroyed the concept of the Grimm as anything remotely threatening
>Not liking the best girl
>Doing things ironically
Jokes on you, because I do like best girl.
What if I tell your
everyone likes Velvet, you can't win against her charm
I'd believe it. It's kind of stupid, but Cardin is also kind of a doofus. It could be cute if it would make him not a huge prick someday.
>yfw the prophecy comes to fruition and pyrrha finally dies and arkos normies get BTFO
I think they said on a stream or something that originally they were going to use an elephant-nosed boy instead of bunny girl.
I'm willing to bet that if they had gone with their original plan, no one in the fandom would have given two shits about Dumbo.
The hell does that even mean?
Don't you forget it!
Blake a good
>mfw her box is full with magician's tools
>mfw she pulls deadly illusionist tricks on her enemies
>sawing someone in half
>letting people disappear
>teleporting herself using tophats
Who could possibly cheer him up after that?
Fuck you m8.
White Knight is definitely happening. They spent so much time on it that it can't not happen. Weiss will jsut realzie Neptune is like Jaune or they'll finally tell Kerry to fuck off and they'll hit it off again.
Cardin's secret semblance is
It was a joke, he had his eyes closed and was just swinging it around randomly, it's impossible to take that seriously. If they wanted to show that he had gotten better as a combatant, it was done badly.
Coco beating a grimm through a nutshot. Sun and Neptune high fiving while flashing their badges. Glynda just swatting Grimm away more like an annoyance than anything. The fucking corgi getting a body count.
There were too many jokes that didn't need to even exist, but you can still have comedic moment without undermining a serious situation. The other day I rewatched a few episodes from RvB13, and I noticed that the last fight between Wash, Carolina, and Felix and Locus, had some jokes that I felt were well done. Even the 4v4 matches this volume, which I don't think too highly about, had a few good jokes that got a chuckle out of me.
>Nudes from Roman
I...am not entirely against this...
You want flexibility, m8?
>Who could possibly cheer him up after that?
Yeah, if only there was someone else who recently lost someone close to them so they can empathize and support one another. Someone who can give him a pep talk when he's sitting in the hallway at night all depressed. Someone who can pick him up when he's down or laugh with him as a friend. Such a perfect girl can't possibly exist.
>past few episodes have been surprisingly good for the shitshow that is RWBY
>last episode had a fade to black ending with only the sound of a siren continuing
>expect RWBY to finally become a bit darker like it was advertised
and then this
The show is not divided into serious and comedic moments. The show has a third division which is "cool" moments which are not too serious but aren't meant to be jokes. Most of those you mentioned fall into that.
Don't set-up a false dichotomy just like that.
I wonder more if Gray Miles and Kerry know how many fans Neo has.
I wonder if Gray knows how many people woud go Gay for Gray.
Best Bullcock sucker
That's not Nora
That's not Yang
That's not Penny
That's not Velvet
You didn't post Yang
You still didn't post Yang
Roman is the coolest, give him dust and he'll be unstoppable :^)
You didn't post Sun
She's not Pyrrha
She's not Yang
Shes not Pyrrha
She's not dead yet
They said they wanted to have the episode be a moment of triumph, and I think they could have done something like that, but the whole episode was a strawman argument.
>Oh no! The grimm are invading! This could be the end of Vale as we know it!
>(Grimm go down in one hit, never manage to land a hit on any of the heroes, and are constantly reduced to jokes through every single defeat)
>Oh man, that sure was tough!
I think they were holding back too hard on the tone so it would be more of a punch in Vol 3. Should have put Tukson's blood on the door, and that one King Taijitu should have definitely ate at least one bystander. Like, even if they unfucked it all pretty easy (Since I guess those were pretty minor Grimm, I mean, Ren beats a King Taijitu with his bare hands) a couple of on-screen of even well implied injuries or deaths of bystanders would have really helped the "Grimm are an inevitable tide" idea along.
I feel like I have quite a weird taste in characters compared to most other RWBY fans.
Vol 1 Weiss would be higher up but she died so RIP.
Fair warning: you'd get bent a different direction than you might be used to. Think about which way her anatomy is pointing. It's definitely not bad, but might surprise you at first. Also, since there's no restraint holding the leg up, balance might be a bit iffy.
>Pyrrha at 30
Absolutely fucking disgraceful.
Octavian, never once have I wanted to shove a sword up your rectum until just now, when I saw your abysmal placement of Penny.
What he said. Fucking in awkward positions is exponentially harder than you think. The position where you can manage to actually enter her does not always make for good sex.
It's usually goes.
>Ugh. Fuck. Okay. I'm finally inside her. That was harder than I thought.
>Oh... Goddamnit. I can't actually thrust/properly fuck her without falling over.
>Nope. Screw this. Back to missionary/doggy/whatever we're both more practiced at.
Jokes on her. She just traded a retard out for another retard.
