That was not really a spoiler. Even without the preview it was pretty obvious Pyrrha was gonna become a maiden. What happens after she receives the powers however is another matter. Hopefully, Cinder will defeat her and take the powers. Pyrrha keeping her maiden powers would be bad, character and story wise. It would make me criticize RT's writing. I don't want another Breach where everything works out fine and someone fixes everything with a wave of her hand.

I honestly wouldn't have minded it as, while you say step up, I'd say step down. Pyrrha could take a sideline as they literally just have Jaune say "Oh she has maiden duties" or some crap like that.

At this point, we've seen for every Jaune arc, there has to be a Pyrrha Nikos moment. While I'm not saying I'd specifically want a Jaune arc, all I am saying I wouldn't mind one being resolved without Pyrrha. Him bonding with Ruby or Ren or even Cardin would be interesting as Pyrrha has become a crutch. I'd actually really want to see him trained by Taiyang for some reason.

That's a problem with Jaune and Pyrrha (an Arkos problem). Nearly all of Pyrrha's scenes are with Jaune. She exists in his shadow. Jaune hung out with other characters, such as when Ruby gave him some peptalk. Pyrrha doesn't get that. Arkos is a big reason why Pyrrha was made.

Even though they are call team JNPR, it's actually more like team JP. They are two teams in one. In team RWBY, all the girls get focus, some getting more and others getting less. In JNPR however, this only happens for Jaune and Pyrrha. Ren and Nora are mostly comic relief characters. You could remove those two and you would not miss much. I would love to have a Pyrrha and Nora girltalk scene, but that will never happen.

It's said that the show has no set protagonist, and that it is shared between team RWBY and JNPR. I say it is team RWBY + Jaune and Pyrrha.

This is partially of result of RT having introduced far too many characters in too short amount of time.

Which is why Pyrrha getting maiden powers would help. Her getting maiden powers destroys the balance of the team. Before she's unneeded. She can be Jaune's development toy sure. That was basically her only purpose in vol 1 and 2. And this ended in Breah...I guess.

But with maiden powers, she now has a purpose both in show and within the show. They could either show her less or show her more, either scenario both don't necessarily show Jaune in them.

But this is RT. They will still somehow definitely fuck it up where, even with Maiden powers, it is all exactly the same.

See, the issue here is they didn't MEAN for him to be shady. Not only was it unintentional, it was the complete opposite of what they were going for. I'm not saying they're not bad writers, but they must have been frustrated to no end by everyone interpreting their work wrongly.

Because in their eyes, it was completely obvious that Ironwood was always good, Blake being a faunus and penny being a robot weren't obvious reveals, and the Robot Leg thing didn't come completely out of left field.

You have to understand that this is a pair of inexperienced and low-quality writers who think they're good at what they do, and act accordingly. If the audience doesn't react the way they meant them to react, then that's "their fault".

As far as I can tell, being a Maiden allows one to manipulate Dust without a catalyst like a weapon or having it sewn into one's clothing. Amber appeared to just be able to channel those powers, meaning a Maiden doesn't even need Dust or is just able to create it from the air on the fly.

That is less correct though, because they were actually upset with Monty for doing her fight in volume 1 because it made it more obvious than the two of them wanted.

As for a source on that, I believe it was either in the commentary for season 1 or was said during a live stream around season 2, most likely one after the episode with Penny's reveal was done.

How do you guys think the upcoming fights are going to go? Will Blake overpower Adam? Will Ruby manage to take control of the airship back? Personally, I think Blake will only be able to defeat Adam with either Yang or Weiss's help, leading to an, "I'm not alone!" moment on her part, and Ruby will either also get help, or it will turn out that she's a Maiden and activate her powers, giving her the boost she needs to take down Roman and Neo.

Just recalled, Velvet's implied to be weaker than her teammates.

Can't we all agree that it would've been better if CFVY were never introduced in the first place? They fucked up Breach, and have contributed nothing in volume 3, except lose a 2vs2 fight and Velvet speaking to Ruby. As I've said before, RWBY have too many characters. No, I went to school in North California which seems to be the only state where people are willing to stick up for their friends.
