cAnon you fucking hack
It's cool, you're cool. You beat me again. But don't tell cAnon I said that. It's not a competition.
>caring about a franchise ruined by Mary Sues
JJ Abrams should be stoned to death. Women belong in the kitchen, not the battlefield.
This guy seems interesting... 1/2
I dislike it, but I am certainly in the minority, it's a very popular game.
But there was always things that bothered me about how they portrayed that entire Era in general, and I am glad that they're taking a different approach this time around.
It's not a widespread opinion, but it's not exactly uncommon either. The issues I have:
>Set really far into the past, but slavishly apes the visual aesthetic of the movies without any regard for new designs--and thus introduces the ridiculous "technological plateau" idea into the canon
>Set only decades after Tales of the Jedi, but looks completely distinct in order to accommodate the above point
>Chris Avellone's injection of "muh shades of grey" morality in a retardedly hamhanded way
Those are the main three, but im sure more will come to me.
>Reminder that the sjws whined enough with their wheresrey campaign that this is now happening
>Chris Avellone's injection of "muh shades of grey" morality in a retardedly hamhanded way
So you're just mad that he wrote a better story than your precious Lucas.
Your opinion has been noted. Anything else you have to say will be disregarded.
But all of that stuff was already happening. The only thing that's actually changed is that SW Monopoly will be updated to include Rey (and to be fair it was kind of weird that she wasn't in it)
Nothing directly set in that Era just yet, but we have snippets of what it was like.
>Ahsoka's Ancient Jedi Outfit & Lightsabers
It's all Samurai-themed, which was one of Lucas's original ideas, before he decided on having the Jedi be more warrior monks.
So basically, based on the only Canon artifacts we have from that Era, we can assume that they are going to take a more eastern-inspired approach to the aesthetics of that Era, whereas I felt KoTOR was WAY too similar to the Prequel/OT aesthetics, to the point where it felt like the Galaxy was stagnant.
>Chris Avellone's injection of "muh shades of grey" morality in a retardedly hamhanded way
to be fair thats in KotOR 2. KotOR 1 was a more classic Star Wars story
and as much as i love KotOR 2 i admit Kreia and her whole angle and "point" is so try hard grey she plays better as crazy old woman who has no where to place her anger and frustration except existence
And here is Ahsoka's new look, which Filoni explains is after she found ancient Jedi artifacts while tomb raiding an old Jedi Temple.
They could make an entire videogame based on that idea...
But back to my point, note her design, and the hilts of her sabers.
I'm not sure I have any other pictures of the Darksaber, but it also follows the theme.
I for one am ready for my Samurai Sith and Jedi stories, but I think they're holding back on that Era for now because they're scared of the inevitable backlash from KoTOR fans.
i do love these astetics
but i also love the stories of Tales and KotOR
so the only option is to petition we mash the two together for like a netflix series/modded re release
The Story Group, and Filoni, they all love KoTOR. Hell, look at the newest Rebels clip, those hammerheads are a pretty clear reference if you ask me.
So whenever they decide to tackle that Era, I don't think they'll change too much. Some stuff will be changed, there is no doubt about that at all. But I am sure there will be many callbacks and re-imaginings of the original stories, and I don't doubt for a second that Revan will be made canon too, because Filoni was even considering ways to have him in TCW.
(He and Lucas talked about Bane and Revan showing up on Mortis, but they couldn't do it because it wouldn't make sense. They eventually got Bane in the final episode on
Morabandbut never got around to including Revan)
while i was bummed as fuck Reven didnt make it in, it wouldnreally make that much sense what with Revan canon turning back to good.
that and the revelation that force ghosts are a light side thing
though ive been a fan of light siders preserving themselves through acceptance of themselves and communing with the force, dark siders can "inflict" themselves on things an locations tying themselves to it after death like a pouterghist
Luke was crippled in the Force and the dark side was on steroids, it's canon that Yoda was actually wrong now when he said the dark side wasn't more powerful, it 100% was when he said that line. You can get mad at Disney if you like but it seems Lucas was fine with that since it was part of the prophecy
-Living in balanced Force spectrum
-BORN after balance was restored
-Sith shrine on Coruscant is dead and can't attack her like it was all Jedi/lightsiders for the last 1,000 years
Again...and again I have tell you people.
Just HOW were they going to show you that balance was restored to the Force? Huh? HM!?
>I, Luke Skywalker sense a great balance in the Force. Mm, so balanced now. No more cheating OP BS from the Dark Side, Rey.
>Overpowered, it was overpowered, Rey! But thanks to that last patch implemented by my father it's now balanced. Also with fewer calories!
half the rey stuff couldnt come out because it would spoil the film. like that one guy who got his hands on the Finale Rey with lukes saber, he got sued out the ass for releasing pics of it.
>like that one guy who got his hands on the Finale Rey with lukes saber, he got sued out the ass for releasing pics of it.
Source, if only to see how badly this guy gets screwed in the ass by Disney Lawyers.
Shut the fuck up, SJWaid. You don't know anything. You're just a pathetic oldan trying to look hip and failing. You haven't even written a good comic since Kingdom Come (which isn't even that good and only popular because of Ross's art). You and the rest of your irk are cancer!
Joke's on you when she's erased from canon completely, and all you'll have are the shitty drawings of what will never be to dry your tears with.
Stop trying to make me depressed!
I haven't seen anything new from our drawfriend in months.
Probably abandoned thread until the TFA shitstorm dies down. I was doing the same until I saw it last week.
TIE Scout and I have no idea why.
>abandoned thread until the TFA shitstorm dies down
i didn't want to, but i might have to take a page out of drawfriend's book. This thread is awful.
That one's pretty good! I like the TIE Star Cruiser even more, and for similar reasons.
I always liked the ARC-170 even though it never really got to shine in any of the movies. They even seem very slow for starfighters, maybe why they have the rear turret. Still something about them is surprisingly sexy.
Not really. There IS some connection between them, but its only minor details, each of the main plots are standalone stories.
If you do want to keep it in order though, it goes Han -> Luke -> Leia -> Finn/Rey/Poe
I hadn't really considered his given that the movie left me with the impression that the Force may not actually be in balance yet, since Snoke has apparently been around for a while and there's another dominant dark side group running around again. Though, I guess the dark side not being as strong as it was could partially explain why trying to feed off of his physical/emotional pain during the duel didn't work out better for Kylo.
Thinking about it now, if the dark side really has been significantly weakened, then in a way, Snoke himself seems like a sort of visual representation of that. He's damaged and weakened, but still out there, guiding the FO and the Knights (specifically Kylo) toward becoming more powerful.
I don't know, the Golden Gimp would be our most perfect Sith pro wrestler.
The Premium Crane is ok. If you dont get something good, you can just salvage it, so its never a complete waste of chromium.
But I wouldn't waste your chromium on it early on. Better to max out your storage first. Only spend chromium on the cranes when you have absolutely nothing better to spend it on.
Looks like Darth Vader isn't the only person Kylo Ren is obsessed with.
The armory and crew slots are less important, but definitely max out the materials slots. It's probably the most important thing you can spend Chromium on. Everything else is up to you.
If you're willing to spend money on the game, the only one I would recommend is the Long Term Smugglers Contract. It's the cheapest option, and you get daily Chromium for a month. Nothing else comes close in value.
As for drops, the best thing I can recommend is to just level up/upgrade your gear as much as possible, and do the highest difficulty possible on missions. You'll get better drops as time goes on that way.
However, as far as I know, the Story Missions don't really require much more than being a certain level to play them, so if you only care about getting through the story, then you don't have to worry.
That being said, if cosmetics are important, then try collect and upgrade sets of gear for blueprints. You get free chromium for each blueprint you complete, and the option to set the armor cosmetically, without altering your stats/needing to own/equip those pieces of gear.
I hope I explained that well, I haven't slept in god knows how long.
And the reason I say to max the materials slots is because, due to how grind-heavy the game is, you're going to end up running out of storage for materials/desh just by playing. But these are important for upgrading/levelling, so being able to stockpile as much as possible is important. And when you do run out of space, you'll have a lot of shit to sell for money if you need. Happened to me recently, and I sold enough to end up with 2 million credits.
Is Splinter of the Mind's Eye actually any good?
I've always been meaning to read it
Thx cAnon, get some sleep. Here's mine char. As for story
Happy just told me about vault, gotta activate those jammers
Is Star Wars Uprising a good/fun game? I want to play it on PC using an Android emulator.
Looks like you got a bunch of good stuff already, for where you are in the story anyways.
As far as I know, there are no Lightsabers in the game YET. Very late game, there's optional missions where you can go and discover your force sensitivity, but there's no Lightsabers yet.
It's ok. If you don't mind it being too repetitive/grindy, it's essentially just Diablo with a Star Wars skin.
The biggest pros are that it is free, and there's absolutely no content restrictions for non-paying players. The game is canon, and is one of the few things out right now that lets you explore a post-RotJ world. The story is ok, I'm about 45 levels in (the levels are fairly short) and it's starting to pick up pretty fast.
You can emulate it using Bluestacks.
The main con of the game, is the repetativeness. They've improved this in recent updates, adding a LOT more variety to the level layouts, and mission options. But especially later on (Level 40+) you may find yourself needing to grind a little to progress in the story.
A tl;dr on the story;
>you and your sister are trapped in the Anoat Sector after the Empire locks it down
>you do jobs for various Syndicates, first as a generic Mercenary, but later on as a
Bounty Hunterwhile fighting against various criminal gangs, and occasionally Empire forces.
If it sounds interesting to you, give it a shot. Can't hurt to try.

Wow, so I am a little late here, but Adult Swim put all three Robot Chicken specials on their Youtube Channel on December 18th. Enjoy, everyone!
Or in Polnad.
If by Sheev killing all the Rebels you mean next Empire Day Zeb and Ezra conduct a panty raid on his Coruscant palace. Chopper himself dips the sleeping Emperor's hand in a glass of water. When he wakes up he tries to shoot lightning only for the water to short him out, the bolt bouncing off the ceiling and striking Mas Amedda who was asleep in his basket at the foot of Sheev's bed.
> Looking up general kota in Force Unleashed and Qu Rahm from dark forces 2.
> Learn that we almost got Qui Gon or Darth Plaguius for the apprentice's second mentor instead of Kota, but Lucas vetoed it because he wanted them to use orginal characters.
Shit, wonder how that would have turned out. Kota wasn't a bad character but I would have shit a brick to see Force ghost Qui Gon.
They're not bad but suffered from bad guy inflation. Revan is basically made out to be a god and then Nihlus is a "wound in the force" that consumes worlds and Sion is immortal cause he just has that much angst inside.
Its dumb and for some reason people love these edge lords.
I thought the story and characters were cool and I dug exploring the world, but I can't progress. I must be retarded b/c I can't do the combat to save my life. I've been stuck in the lower level o fthe first city, about three or four hours into the game forever. Bought it for my MAC about a year ago and was soooo excited, but the gameplay is just a "No" for me.
>Better to max out your storage first.
Can you get more than 450 btw? Cause it's never enough.
>That being said, if cosmetics are important, then try collect and upgrade sets of gear for blueprints.
Blueprints are also needed for crew upgrades. Crew runs are an easy way to get some extra resources and make battles a lot more profitable too.
Hux did nothing wrong.
He just wants to make the Galaxy great again.
About to buy this along with TFA Visual Dictionary? Is it worth it?
I see some people here like Star Wars: Uprising. Well its not surprising considering that some of the guys who did the KOTOR videogame, made this game too
I don't Consoles or to play on a PC so mobile gaming is perfect for me. I just bought a new smartphone so i'll check this game out.
Got a list of new Rebels episode titles following Princess on Lothal from MSW
>2×13 “The Protector of Concord Dawn”
>2× 14 ” Legacy of Lasan ” running on 3 February
>2 × 15 “The Call ” runs on 10 February
>2 × 16 ” Homecoming ” runs on 17 February
>2 × 17 ” The Honorable Ones “runs on 24 February
>“The Protector of Concord Dawn”
So Force Awakens aired in China, and its message is much clearer with them than it is with us
>The Empire did nothing wrong.
Which is your favorite movie of this masterpieces? Mine will always be EpIII
It is universally agreed that AOC is the worat right? Some people find Ep1 the worst but its always those two.
Personally, I find that they're tied for bottom of the barrel. TPM has you put up with bad acting and Jar Jar, but gives you the Qui-Gon/Kenobi/Maul fight, while AotC force feeds you bad acting and bad romance, but gives you Dooku.
Obi-wan wasn't expendable like clones are. The circumstances of the battles are diffferent as well.
The clone transport is carrying something that Dooku really wants captured, so the droids can go all out on fucking up the pilots.
Random fighter ship fires them at an enemy ship that it probably doesn't know the pilot of, warranting piss-poor use of the Buzzdroids.
I was never interested in Dokku as a character. His introduction in Ep2 is lame and he dies at the beginning of episode 3
Plus he doesn't look or acts like a bad guy so he feels off
Don't know if i'am the only one but. For some reason i can't get to invested in this series and the PT. Mainly because i already know how is everything going to end. It just feels really unnecessary
it's more like watching a documentary. You know what happened, but this is showing you why it happened that way, basically.
I don't blame you for not being able to get into Rebels, it is suffering the early kids series problems these shows always have, but there is some hope from the recent episodes. I also don't blame you for not being able to get into the PT, but that's a whole host of other issues.
Did you watch, or like, TCW?
I never watched TWC except for the 2D version which was cool. But i qon't probably watch it because i never liked the PT that much to begin with and i don't have all the time in the world to watch 100 episodes. Plus is in CGI
Where the FUCK can I download the Clone Wars story reels? Check all 'season 6' and 'Lost Missions' torrents I could find, searched 'story reel,' 'animatic,' and tried their whole names ('Crystal Crisis on Utapau'), but can't find them anywhere.
>the Protector of Concord Dawn
>is a mando episode
>about the planet where jango is from
>but Jango isnt a mando cause his not from mandalore
>but its mando enough to have a mando protector
I think I'd really prefer more short story collections in the same vein as Before the Awakening.
When I read something like Heir to the Jedi, I find that most of the details are kind of forgettable (I remember Luke moving a noodle with the Force, running through some sewers, and
the new girl character getting killed at the end though I can't even remember who did it or why, I assume it was some kind of Imperial agent or bounty hunter searching for the Givin), but I feel like it'd have worked better as three short stories about Luke (one could have been him finding the dead Jedi's lightsaber, another rescuing the Givin, and something else for a third) rather than stretching a thin story over 300 pages.
Even something like Tarkin, which I really enjoyed - it'd have been cool to have three shorter stories about him at different points in his career.
I just think it'd be a better fit for Star Wars since the movies drew a lot from the short stories found in Pulp Fiction magazines. I'm a big fan of writers like Howard, Leiber, and Moorcock.
>Sabine: After all these years, you, Boba Fett, are finally Mandalorian.
>Boba: Thank you, m'lady. *tips helmet*
This actually touches on a few questions that, hopefully, can be answered either by you guys, or the show.
Is Concord Dawn still part of the same system? Does it even have the same backstory any more? If it is, are Mandolorians anyone in the Mandolor system, or only those peoples that hail from Mandolore itself? Do the people of Concord Dawn refer to themselves as Mandolorians?
>Trevorrow added that he’s done “a lot of scribbling and a lot of notes” thinking about the story that he wants to tell in Episode IX (he’s writing the script with frequent partner Derek Connolly)
>(he’s writing the script with frequent partner Derek Connolly)
Is it time to worry?
>It just feels really unnecessary
Well, yeah. All of the prequel stuff including Rebels are fundamentally unnecessary. So is all the sequel material. In my opinion they're also plenty stupid. Just try to enjoy all of it for what it is.
Honestly, I like it a lot better. I've genuinely tried to get into Uprising twice now, but I always just drop it out of boredom. Galaxy of Heroes I haven't not played it for a day since i started in early December.
It made a shit ton of money but god damn was the story weak. It didn't really need much of a story since it was just a backdrop for dinosaur carnage, but still it was pretty bad. When the "heroes" spend most of the movie arguing against using dinosaurs as weapons and urging respect for them...then they end up using dinosaurs as weapons. And leave a T-Rex and raptor running loose on an island still full of people.
>” The Honorable Ones “runs on 24 February
Could that be an episode about the gang meeting another rebel cell and find out they're more violent than the Ghost Crew and use tactics that hurt civilians as well as Imperials?
The issue is that their solution to the raptor/rex hybrid ended up releasing a raptor and rex respectively. The movie treats this like a stunning victory with no chances for literally biting someone on the ass. In other words it doesn't matter if it was a "live or die" solution because it ultimately wasn't a solution at all. But hey, it gave us a scene of that woman outrunning a rex in those godawful heels.
There were 10,000 Jedi. I'm hoping we get comics set around new Jedi at some point and maybe other Jedi from the EU like Kota. I also want a comic set around the life of a Jedi Temple guard and it shows how a Jedi becomes one and what training they do and what they do when not on duty as a guard
>TESB and ROTJ were basically just one half of one long film.
TESB and ROTJ both depend a lot on preceding movies, but I think TESB is pretty satisfying taken on its own. It doesn't resolve the plot much, but it has its own mood and its own story to tell. It's thematically satisfying to me. I've always loved the ending.
The funny thing was JJ sounding off on it when it was his own damn fault. Of course they didn't include Rey in the Monopoly set which had figures based around light side/dark side duels. Vader and Luke, Kylo Ren and Finn. Rey being Force sensitive was one of their most obvious plot twists they reveal halfway through the movie, but for some reason he tried to hide the obvious. Of course they used Finn when he was the one with the saber on the posters and in the trailers.
Hell, I bought her Lego set on Force Friday not just because it was the relative cheapest at twenty bucks but it came with her arch nemesis the Space Gimp.
Reading up on him I found out that he also went to Kamino and found a force sensitive clone of his dead apprentice during fu2. I'd like to see this and all the other shit tied up for a infinites.
Nothing is wrong with infinities. I welcome the idea because it not only offers alternative takes on important events and potiental good stories, but will also allow the EU fans to get some stories they want. It's a smart move.
>as long as they declared on the outset its a "what if" and not some alternate universe bs
Seems like an arbitrary distinction to me. What difference does it make? Either way it's kept separate from the central story.
I suppose, I just really don't want Star Wars to get tied up in the multiverse/time travel stuff that, in my opinion, muddied up Marvel. In that light, the distinction between "this is just basically fanfiction guys" and "this takes place in Galaxy Far Far Away #2" does matter somewhat
That's the general idea behind them. The last ones were what if this happened instead of this, and what would change. The first one was Luke's torpedo being a dud and yavin getting nuked for example.
>I suppose, I just really don't want Star Wars to get tied up in the multiverse/time travel stuff that, in my opinion, muddied up Marvel
I agree there. But as the old EU has shown us, you don't need multiverse/time travel to muddle things up. So long as they just keep it separate (the same way Legends material and the new stuff is separate) it'd be alright.
I'd love to see the OT re-imagined as if the Prequels happened first in our time, to make the bridge between eras less awkward and very obvious. I know we are all hung up on the whole "Legends is essentially what-if and not canon, so ignore it" thing, but it could still be interesting.
I just bought this, it is one of the few good comics form the new Canon right?
But my favorite films from the prequels are Attack of The Clones and for the OT A New Hope
>It did introduce Bulltar Swan,
I'm still annoyed thaty they never did anything with her in TCW. She could've been one of those same generation as Anakin Jedi who got knighted for the Clone Wars. We never really got to see much of Anakin's peers arounf his age range. It was either padawans or knights/masters who were at least a decade older than him.
>Is Concord Dawn still part of the same system?
It technically never was. I've seen it on some old maps being near, in Mandalorial controlled space. I think i saw a more recent map that had CD nowhere near Mandalore. But I could be wrong/imagining it since I can't find it.
>or only those peoples that hail from Mandolore itself?
TCW implied that you have to actually be from mandalore (and at least it's moon, Concordia, in the case of Viszla) to be mandalorian.
>Do the people of Concord Dawn refer to themselves as Mandolorians?
Rako Hardeen and Jango Fett didn't.
Honestly, I think these guys are just a group of Mandalorians who are trying to stick it to the Empire much like how the Death Watch tried to stick it to Satine and Dooku, and they just happen to be hiding out on Concord Dawn since Mandalore's too hot.
>The foreign princess made me excited
>Original actor's performance replaced by Digital Kylo Ren
What the fuck?
>All these full digital shots, environments and sequences; only two or three "on location" shots
>None of the vehicles were physical models lay over digital equivalents
>They literally did the same exact thing that the Prequels did
Practical effects huh
Two new reference books coming this year.
This one is by Daniel Wallace
>From the Clone Wars and the Rebellion to the clashes with the First Order, the galaxy is defined by war. Star Wars: On the Front Lines chronicles the tactics, weapons, and armor used in pivotal battles along with profiling acts of valor. By focusing on elements of the battles that occurred “off screen,” this collection brings the struggles faced by ground soldiers and starfighter pilots to life like never before and places the reader on the battle lines.
And good ol Pablo's doing this one about Propaganda in the galaxy
>Whether it’s a Star Destroyer hovering over a planet or an X-wing delivering a message of resistance, propaganda images have become synonymous with life in the galaxy far, far away. This in-world art book explores the creation and stories behind these images of power and persuasion—where the images appeared, why particular planets were targeted, and who were the in-world artists behind the works.
>first hand accounts of war
>a book on galactic propaganda
All of my yes.
And once more the valiant knight rides to the rescue resplendent upon his mechanical keyboard steed, bellowing his mighty roar of "UH, M-MISOGYNY"
The problem is that the air and glass are being sucked backwards like there's an atmosphere instead of just poofing slowly outward or staying in place
But you can't do that sort of stuff in a cartoon cause you need to show momentum and action. Also people would start asking questions like, "Why is the glass just floating there? That's weird. Is that an animation error?"
Like, I even expected some of the Falcon shots on the ground to be full scale models at least but holy shit, not even one. D'Qar maybe, but beyond that? Fucking nothing. And the cockpit ball on the TIE Fighter at the beginning there was fucking CGI. Only the solar panel wings were actually there. For what fucking reason? It was already full scale.
>they just used it at time when it wasn't that good.
For Episode II in very few parts, maybe. They'd mastered their digital craft by Episode III, though.
Yes. That'll definitely be one of the plot-lines tackled by the book. The cover has the Falcon on it, so I assume it'll also look into Han and Chewie liberating Kashyyyk, making some kind of Wookiee life debt situation.
>Also people would start asking questions like, "Why is the glass just floating there? That's weird. Is that an animation error?"
Yeah, if you did shit realistically with vacuums in space and other space mishaps, people would be bored.
Not out of the realm of possibility
>Speaking about the discomfort she had to endure when wearing her racy slave's costume, she quipped: 'This was no bikini. It was metal. It didn’t go where you went. After the shots, the prop man would have to check me. He’d say, "Okay tits are fine. Let’s go." So I started checking for any bounce or slip after takes.
>'Then it was, "Cut. Hey, how they doin’, hooters in place? Tits all right?" I was embarrassed at first with a hundred guys going crazy over my revealed self. Dignity was out of the question.'
Had the feeling, still good.
Someone in one of the SW threads on /tg/ made note that this was a thing done in the 20th century.
I really hope that the story group shoots down this idea, we already saw it in Lords of the Sith and you can bet that he will try to force his own views on it, but who am i kidding, the story group won't give a fuck and Kathleen Kennedy will just say that the book is very progressive
>Why does Wendig feel the need to cover old ground?
Because it wasn't showing the Empire as the bad guys and persecuting gay people in LotS. The Empire was showing acceptance by being completely indifferent and in doing so it created no drama for people to soap-box on. Wendig will probably change that and make the Empire, a massive intergalactic force that's already evil enough to everyone that doesn't accept their rule in the galaxy, into really petty assholes that for some reason care about what their officers and service-men fuck in the privacy of their quarters(or offices if they're being risky).
this is what I wanted from the prequels! competent composition.
>tfw all the Inquisitors look fucking retarded
EU had way better inquisitors. And they didn't have the stupid sabers.
>What a shitshow
Yeah, I only hope people call him out for this. But they won't, so it's up to us for calling out bullshit in a manor that completely blows the wind out of his sails.
You'd think the Empire would give more of a damn about their personnel fucking non-humans, but they don't from what I've read of Lords of the Sith. I mean the prejudice might be present in some, but it doesn't appear to be policy.
Except that looks goddamn awful and outright impossible to move in. I may not favor the oufitting of some of the Inquisitors(was hoping for some robes or something), but at least it's not... that
I would too. Kanan as a Kyle expy is decent, although he could do with a proper beard, and Hera as a be-lekku'd Jan is pretty sweet, but Jerec is the best part of DFII and also seemingly the easiest to port over.
Because he was using them as living shields.
He knew the Cham's hunting party wouldn't actually open fire on him and Vader out of fear of hitting a villager. Besides, he had Vader kill them all afterward anyways.
>give more of a damn about their personnel fucking non-humans
Why? As long as they weren't giving vital information to a rebel cell the Empire doesn't give a shit about what their personnel was fucking.
I keep forgetting how many visceral deaths Clone Wars showed.
>Can you get more than 450 btw? Cause it's never enough.
450 is the max as far as I know.
It has some KoTOR music in there too.
>“The Protector of Concord Dawn”
aka "we wanna' do a Mandalorian episode but didn't have the budget for Mandalore"
>all dem mando tears
I agree actually. I want more short story collections. Sometimes, Novels can be a chore to get through.
Holy shit these look fantastic!!
The prequels did a lot of just that though. Obviously technology has improved in the last decade for it to blend better.
Check this out. Although it's much more shocking when you hear the screams.
>Clone Troopers and escapees getting killed left and right during the mission
>Everyone just kind of gets used to it later on
I was thinking about this arc last night. All those lives lost, all the unnecessary death. Either way that this ended whether the Separatists won or the Republic, it didn't matter. Sheev was going to get his hyperspace routes anyway.
Nonetheless, it was one of the best stories.
They didn't even manage to save the Jedi, but they did save
A lot of dramatic irony for the viewer, who knows of course the literally nothing good came out of this mission at all. Very well done indeed.
it was the early 2000's, you fuck
every movie released around then looks the same
'competent composition', the little shit says, like he could have done a better job with what they had in 2003
Y'know, Lucas was already doing that.
EVERYTHING ever made is going to reflect the views and opinions of its creator.
It's up to you as a consumer to be aware of this, and ignore what you disagree with, rather than blindly eating it all up, y'know? Doesn't mean you have to stop enjoying Stat Wars as a whole.
I don't know what aftermath is, but if an opinion is held by the majority, what point is there to "push" anything?
Disney puts it in because it is popular, if it wasn't popular then they wouldn't risk it not making profits, if it makes profits it's not something that needs to be championed, since it is already mainstream enough to be absorbed into capitalism.
>There will be a scene where Ahsoka and Leia meet, and become friends.
>Leia, impressed with Ahsoka's wit and cunning, invites her to Alderaan in some real official capacity.
>Ahsoka declines, but says she may visit "It's not like it's going anywhere"
>tfw Palpatine would eventually convince Yoda the whole of the Nexus Route coordinates would be safer with him
>tfw Palpatine just gives them to Dooku next time they meet in Limerge Power Building
>tfw this is what allows the Invisible Hand fleet to make the jump straight to Coruscant
>tfw this is a big part of why the Jedi grow incredibly weary of Palpatine, because the only way the Separatists could have made it to Coruscant without tipping anyone off was through the Nexus Route
>They then start linking this incident together with several others where Palpatine is involved, deducing that the only way they'll be able to get to the bottom of this is by using Anakin's friendship with Palpatine to their advantage
>tfw Palpatine assumes that the Jedi probably have their suspicions about him at this point, so he coincidentally at the time of the Jedi's deciding to install Anakin as their inside man to Palpatine's office, appoints Anakin as his inside man to the Council
>Try to Sheev the Sheev and you only get peeved
Still waiting on a catch-up scene between Kanan and Ahsoka regards the 'old days'.
>"The rest of the Padawans were shocked when you got put on trial. Even more so when you left the Order after being acquitted."
>"So how did you survive Order 66, Kanan? I was elsewhere when it hit. I could feel it though."
>"Hah, do you remember how Master Piell's ears would twitch rapidly about if you messed up during his lessons?"
>"Do you know of any other Padawan survivors?..."
The Fett Clans returns! And the tears will be delicious!
so that Webm reminds me
apparently it was a thing when designing NPCs for Galaxies, they were designing apperances for races genders and shit and one was a Mon cal female. but she had boobs so it was nixed since it was decided fish tits dont make sense
then comes clone wars and suddenly fish tits
i mean dont get me wrong, i aint got no problem with fish tits but like more variation between aliens wouldn't hurt
Man, the backstory of Kanan is pretty sad. Anyone knows other were he appears and is canon?
>Droid arm is valuable artifact
Jan, meet me at the top, I've got to get that disk!
Originally titled "Maul, Savage and Vizsla" and can be found in the Soundtrack MEGA here:
So is Disney paying you to get offended over the idea of taking Star Wars in a new direction, or do you actually just want to see the same goddamn story retold 50 times?
I don't even know who the fuck you're talking about.
Do you want to actually criticize KOTOR 2, or do you want to just call it edgy. Because one consists of valid arguments, the other is made up of buzzwords and pointless bitching.
Valid point, it's not perfect, but I think most people like it because of how it stands out in the old EU.
My favorite part of the fight is when the Anakin and Obi-Wan do that ridiculous choreographed Force Push, only to completely miss Dooku and get the Pyke Leader killed.
My favorite part of the fight is that Dooku is literally styling on Anakin and Obi-wan the entire fight and just having a fucking blast about it to hide the fact that he's terrified of having failed Sidious.
When Sheev can force choke you across the galaxy, you get in gear and fix your shit.
It was really good to see him portrayed as a legitimate threat. The show seemed to forgot that he was supposed to be a powerful Sith in the earlier seasons, even when they outright called him one.
He's only referenced in Sheev's seduction of Anakin. Ultimate Star Wars only covers character and stuff who've appeared in the films, cartoons and comics. There isn't actually an entry for him or other characters like Rae Sloan or Norra Wexely
Ultimate Star Wars was clearly written very early on.
There's entries for some of the Commander game characters. And there's some tidbits of info from Tarkin/A New Dawn, but they don't really go in depth. Just vague mentions of things like Cynda and Gorse. Oh, and there's a few entries for the Maul comic, but that's it.
I hope we get a follow-up that includes mroe info from the books/comics.
Not that it really changes anything, since "Darth Plagueis" is mentioned separately anyway. The Hego Damask mention is just a quote attributed to him, without anything actually linking him to Darth Plagueis (i.e. there's no "Hego Damask, also known as Darth Plagueis") so anyone who didn't already know who Damask was supposed to be wouldn't be able to tell.
Yeah, and it's not even the dumbest "time travel!" theory out there (that one goes to the "it's an evil 1,000 year old Luke from an alternate timeline where he did turn to the dark side and learned the secret to long life")
In order to account for inception of design to production to distribution and sale, the people at Hasbro plan toys out a year in advance at LEAST.
Rey product rolling out now while this campaign is happening is a coincidence at best. No way Hasbro can design, manufacture, and distribute this much new Rey product in the span of... how long has the #WheresRey hashtag been in existence? Two weeks?
One that Disney is taking full advantage of and has worked out for them funnily enough. These articles are essentially advertisements whether the people writing them are conscious of it or not.
Call me a conspiracy theorist but the #WheresRey campaign seems like a thinly veiled attempt at Disney trying to advertise via viral social media.
And it's working. Orwell was right.
Here's something to make you feel better, anon.
Early 2000's battlestar galactica did this and it was awesome, don't be so cynical. Hollywood ASSUMES no one would care or like it, but it looks and "sounds" fucking great. It sets an overarching tone of menacing empty bleakness to space that's just perfect.
Not really? The only moments in the show that seems to apply to is when he, Obi-Wan and Anakin get captured, and when Talzin tries to kill him with Old Dakka's DARK MAGICKS
Otherwise, he's portrayed as a pretty solid threat every other time we see him. Sure, he may have come close to losing against Quinlan Vos and Asajj Ventress, but not before turning Quinlan to the Dark Side in what may have been one of the most brilliant bits of Sheeving we'll never get to see. Also that time he took on Asajj and to or three other Nightsisters virtually blind.
Frankly the entire Nightsisters arc made him look like an idiot
>HEY DOOKU I HEARD YOU GOT ATTACKED AND NEED A NEW APPRENTICE TO PROTECT YOU
>wait how do you know this
>OH UH I JUST DO LET ME GIVE YOU A NEW APPRENTICE
>okay sounds legit
Katie Lucas tends to write any character not named Ventress very poorly. One of the writing flaws she had in the earlier seasons was the tendency to have characters point out a logical problem or note that something is a bad idea, but have them go along with it anyway. Even Yoda had this when he himself said having Obi-Wan confront Maul alone was a stupid idea that even he didn't agree with but sent him alone anyway (apparently because he read ahead in the script and knew Ventress would show up for the assist)
Nope. Maul sent the message demanding Obi-Wan come along. Everyone knew it was obviously a trap and Mace even said it'd be better to have some clones go for backup but Yoda butts in with some backwards ass "hrrrm against my better judgment this is but alone he must go" nonsense.
He did go on his own to Mandalore, but the first time Maul popped up he demanded Obi-Wan meet him alone, and that was when Yoda agreed to let Obi-Wan do that (despite Yoda himself admitting it was a stupid idea) and shot down Mace Windu's much better idea of sending Obi-Wan plus a battalion of clones.
That's how Makashi is supposed to be, they got better at making each character stick to their Lightsaber style as the series went on and they just got better at Lightsaber battles in general.
>look her eps up
>she wrote Mauls return, the Order 66 eps and two of the night sister arcs
well shes better than her dad thats for damn sure, i liked all those and the Order 66 arc was fucking great
I think of it like this: Female Exile draws a lot of parallels with Kreia, your mentor. There's a little of it in the game, but in the lore?
Imagine Revan off fighting the True Sith
TOR isn't my canon so let's leave it there. He's doing his thing, making sure the galaxy is free from these assholes, when all of a sudden this...BITCH, shows up. She's that stuck up cunt you tried to get wasted back on Malachor, but she didn't die. The one with the Force Bonds? Yeah, her. Oh, and she's Mom's favorite, so there's that. Bitch couldn't get her own master, she had to steal yours? Fuck that.
And to top it off I always imagined the Exile becoming very much a light(er) side Kreia 2.0, so there's the hilarity of Revan being stuck listening to his old master's new favorite, and having Kreia's goddamn voice back in his head because this Exile actually paid attention to her lessons and is now repeating them verbatim back to you.
tl;dr It's hilarious if you imagine the KotOR protagonists and antagonists to be one big dysfunctional family, and I love it.
Does anyone else love the Zillo Beast arc as much as I do in the Clone Wars?
>TOR isn't my canon so let's leave it there
cant blame you
it precedes to do shit all with the background threat in the preceding games and have the most boring final boss guy ever
Soo, this may seem like a bit of a stretch, but has anyone considered the idea of The Son from the Mortis Arc to possibly be Supreme Leader Snoke?
-Snoke has a similar voice.
-Snoke has been around since before the fall of the Republic and rise of the empire.
-The Son has been around conceivably for a long long long time.
-Snoke knew Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker for some time(according to the novelization)
-The Son met and tempted Anakin with the Darkside and saw his future.
-Snoke reportedly comes from the unknown regions of space. Where Sheev sends folks.
-Mortis is in aN Unknown region of space.
-The Son desperately wants to escape.
Now I know Anakin "kills" the Son in the show. But did he? When the father dies he disappears. The Son doesnt. Maybe anakins refusal to stay and bring balance to the force keeps him alive. And maybe Sheets search party into the unknown regions stumbled upon mortis and somehow set him free.
Like I said it's a stretch but I think would be an awesome tie to the clone wars/prequels that's isn't plagieus.
I'm guessing Nines is just what he was referred to by other members of his squad since Stormtroopers only get identification numbers, as shown here.
That's a nice little comic, I love Rancor guy. Remember getting his action figure for Christmas when I was kid.
Wish I got a Max Rebo figure a little bit more though
You never made it to Rebo's gig, man. Don't ever miss no gig.
Tell me everything there is to know about these guys.
The wikis and visual dictionaries do not sate my urge to know more.
I fucking love TIE pilots.
Snoke is most likely a completely new character.
If anything, Kylo Ren might be more comparable to the son while Rey could represent the daughter. I'm sure the balance between the dark and the light side will be a major theme in the ST.
It'd be interesting, I guess, but I think the Son is more of a symbolic representation of the dark side and the role it played throughout Anakin's life rather than an actual being. That seemed to be the entire point of him, so I doubt they'd bring him back in that capacity.
Judging mainly from the way that people like Leia and Han talk about Snoke, I'd think they know quite a bit about him. They drop his name pretty casually and seem well aware that he was responsible for Ben's fall. Maybe that's mostly due to his position, but it seems possible they might've known him themselves at some point before.
So they can sense evil and attack it? I really hope to god the Ghost Crew isn't getting a team pet.
You're missing the point. No one is making a thousand threads over why Poe isn't a gary stu, or why Finn isn't. At least Rey was shown to have an awakening to her force powers, Finn just picks up a damn light saber and is able to use it no problem.
The Mandalore sector is in the new canon as it was in the old. Concord Dawn was inside the sector, but not in the same system as Mandalore. It was a colony world for the Mandalorian culture. Since we see a Protector in his Mando fighter in the preview, I assume it still is a Mando world in the Mandalorian sector in the new canon, as well.
Does this get better?
I'm 6 episodes in, and it just feels like an infinitely more bland, uninteresting Clone Wars.
Season 1 finale and season 2 are better. Pic related.
The tone is pretty consistent throughout, so if youre not liking it too much now, your opinion probably wont change much with season 2. That being said plenty more characters from TCW/the movies show up in s2 so you might enjoy that.
I guess it gets better, but if you like Clone Wars because of the fast paced battles you aren't going to get it in Rebels, as others have said, it's a different ear and is completely different from TCW.
I enjoy it because of it's time period but you're not going to see grand battles and war on new and different planets.
The details on how Luke's Order fell are very sparse. It's mostly insinuation, frankly, and it's possible, though unlikely, more than a little jumping to conclusions. It's possible the characters themselves don't fully know what happened, or are wrong in their belief of what happened. So far the largest bit of background I'm aware of comes from the Visual Dictionary.
According to the movie Han said it was boy who betrayed Luke and the Order. According to the script it was on Starkiller Base when Han first saw his son as a man. So a BOY murdered every single Jedi and drove Luke into Exile? Even Vader took the 501st with him. There's definitely more to this story than we've been told, well obviously there is. For myself I suspect there's going to be some huge "twist" in the works, something they'll try on par with "Luke, I am your father."
No clue what that is, but I wonder if maybe Ben wasn't actually the betrayer he's been labeled as. Maybe he wasn't the killer at Luke's Jedi temple, maybe he was one of the spoils taken. The young grandson of Darth Vader would be a prize, and if Kylo Ren's power to invade minds turns out to be nothing compared to Snoke's it is possible Ben is just another victim brainwashed into believing he's really Kylo Ren. A Dark Side Patty Hearst.
Just speculating, of course, which is next to worthless. Still I'm willing to bet there is a much deeper story behind everything than we're lead to believe, and we have two more movies to reveal it.
Seems like they don't consider it as requiring much to know how to use a sword, according to the blurb in the lower right corner. Since the Visual Dictionary was produced before the movie came out it seems they anticipated this complaint.
Doesn't mean people will accept it as an explanation, which they haven't, but this is the in-universe reason they've stated.
I disagree with her being a Mary Sue character.
She is a Hero character. She has the characteristics of a Hero character. And the Force can explain most of that.
I go by the definition that a Mary Sue is a character who has abilities they should not have.
The things that could make her a Mary Sue would not be her fighting abilities, her mechanic abilities, her force abilities. It would be her ability to talk to droids and Wookiees.
Why the fuck can she talk to droids and Wookiees? Only a Mary Sue would do that. She is good looking because she is an actress and this is a big budget movie. That is not an issue.
It may be revealed that she has learned droid talk from doing mechanic work, which that could then make sense because that is her back story.
But her understanding Wookiees? Come on. Are we going to be told that in her back story she knew Wookiees? This is the real fuck up. You don't find Wookiees all over the place.
Now if the limit of her language is just wookies and droids. And somehow she is related to Luke or Han. I will allow it. But man they are fucking pushing it.
>Best Original Score
Really though? I barely remember any track from the movie.
I really hope that if she ends up building her own saber, that she sticks with the quaterstaff and uses a pike or DBS.
>Mad Max nominated for the Oscars for best picture
What a time to be alive.
am I the only one that didn't like the droid in the new film? it's like they tried to make a cute/quirky droid like R2D2, but make it as useless as C3PO.
hell even C3PO did more than that roomba riding a soccer ball.
