Yes, of course. The only thing that is necessary is new content for audiences to regain interest. There was a shit-ton of animated WB stuff in the 90's obviously.

I think it's less that the audiences have moved on and it's harder to get shit past censors anymore. You just can't get away with Elmer or Sam being as gunhappy as they were in the past because of real life shootings, which removes Bugs' biggest rival and the everyman of LT villains who could be anything from a bank robbing cowboy to an alien invader to an evil knight...or just some shithead trying to swindle an old lady out of her money.

It's also a matter of having talent who can successfully make LT work. The LT Show, god bless it, had misses along with their hits (God tier depiction of Daffy, Lola actually being *loony*, etc.) by making the whole thing a sitcom. Shit, Kyle Baker actually made two LT shorts done in the classic style of narration a few years ago and the WB sat on them saying they were inappropriate for kids. (My animation teacher somehow snagged copies. I have no idea what's up the WB's ass as they were perfectly fine additions to the shorts.)

I will say, I'd like to see more fantasy comics about transhumanist themes (which I'm trying to do myself right now) and scifi comics with more mystical themes (like post-apocalyptic "Jack Vance" stories where technology still exists, it's just cryptic wizard-scientist territory now).

"I want her to have pants" isn't a good enough reason to make a lesser costume. They got rid of Superman's red strongman undies because they though it looked silly, and they could make a better costume without them. Ditto with piece-by-piece removing Batman's non greyscale clothing.

Her original costume had a skirt. Look up her first few appearances from All-Star Comics #8 an onwards. After that she had a pair of shorts which went a bit down the leg, which is more than a lot of male superheroes had in the day.
