I haven't been feeling well so I made some soup.
Sautéed onion in sesame seed oil and then tossed in some garlic. Put some broth in and simmered four carrots and three potatoes. Added the rest of the vegetable broth (2L) and threw in half a cabbage and two chicken breasts plus a can of tomatoes. Seasoned it with black pepper, salt, basil and oregano. Cooked it on high for 25 mins and served it on some rice.

For the carrots I boiled them for a bit then drained the water and added butter and garlic salt. It was still a bit crunchy though.

Chicken fried steak is delicious, a great way to prepare a cheaper tougher cut of beef. I've never seen it on salad but that might be good, its traditionally served covered in sawmill gravy. Also that anon is correct, it should be cooked well done with no pink in it.

May as well post here too. Seaman's with langoustine, prawns, brown shrimp, basmati rice, turned beetroot, chiffonade of red cabbage and mushroom, white wine and cream sauce. The beetroot was an experiment gone wrong, but the rest was nice.
