1. It's his home state. Austin never got tired of performing - whether it was being the Sheriff (GM) or having Wrestlemania moments. I remember one PPV in the late 00s or early 10s, he road to the ring on his atv, did whatever, then - the memorable part - he rode up the state, stopped his atv at the top of the ramp... and just sort of basked in the fans. you could tell he was savoring every second he got to be doing that again.

2. I think making things right with Brock would be worth it. His ego re: Brock was a main reason he left, and especially considering they're "friends" in real life (as close as Brock has to a friend), I think making it right would be important to him
