>Rusev didn't even do anything when Rock came up with as many ways as possible to say LOL I FUCKED YOUR GIRL
>Lana didn't come out with the League for the Main Event
>Implying Lana wasn't riding the Brahma Bull in the back
>AJ and Joe gets to keep their names
>everyone else is cursed with a slave name
Why do they get special treatment? If anything you'd think the TNA guys get their name changed since WWE never mentions them. Heyman and JBL at least acknowledge NJPW, and I think ROH gets mentioned in only articles.
>Rusev hugs Vince
>Vince has Rocky cuck Rusev in front of the whole world and has Bbygril and Wackyman put him through a table
No, that's Matt from Best Friends Play. He named himself that because he had recently seen Nakamura at a show (maybe war of the worlds) and he's a surface level wrestling mark.
The joke is about Woolie's brother who has an OC donut steel character from when he was like 14 called Rage who's just a generic black guy who's super angry.
>Vince in the back watching the finish to Mania
>Any time Roman gets any offense in the entire arena is overflowing with boos
>Loudest collective sea of boos in recent history
>"DAMNIT THESE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT"
thanks guys for making me famous! Now you can all go fuck off for a decade while I go make a bunch of money in Hollywood!
Oh hey guise, I'm back - can you give me some time to promote my next movie? I'll say one of those lines I used to say back in the day. "If your smell what The Rock is making for dinner!" Like that one? Or something like that. Sorry, it's been so long, guise
Reminder that it's socially acceptable to bully people as long as you're famous
LET ME TELL YOU A STORY ABOUT VINCE MCMAHON
YOU SEE THIS WHOLE BULLY CAMPAIGN-
Kevin Owens is a fucking beast when it comes to retweeting funny shit, and shitting on smarks
I've seen him just post shit like "you suck at life" and "I grew up speaking French and my English is still better than yours" - just smartass kek shit like that
and he does his research. The guy is a god.
I remember when the whole racist stuff came out he'd just retweet every black guy who said he's no racist. He retweeted pictures of European soccer players and shit. I made a fake account to see if he'd retweet a picture of Trayvon Martin and his dad. He didn't bite though.
Owen Hart's harness broke while he was being lowered to the ring. He landed on the ropes and ricocheted into the ring. I believed he died that same day; I think it was a mix of blunt-force trauma and internal bleeding
In all my smarky research on the internet, I've never found any footage of it - not even amateur footage. WWE did a good job burying it.
>especially when you consider that even the MSG incident had an amateur video, and it wasn't a PPV
Why does WWE have so many neckbearded virgins compared to other fan bases?
How long until Owens is in the world title picture?
>Opening promo was under 20 mins
>AJ vs Y2J
>that Rock/New Day segment until Usos showed up
>the ex-NXT divas in the title picture while the others stick to the piss break tagmatches
Apart from poor Rusev this was a pretty good Raw, especially by recent standards
I was a huge fan of The Rock when he was in WWE. I was born in 1987, so I was just becoming a wrestling fan at the time he was rising.
I thought it was shitty that he abandoned the company. "the first third generation wrestler" who was made for the company. He really helped the Attitude Era take off
>though he was no Steve Austin, and all of you know that - Austin made WWE what it is
and then he just turned his back on them. Goign off to make a few movies is one thing, but he just said fuck WWE, took his ball, and went home. Even when he was at his peak, WWE preferred Austin over him, and he could never learn his role - so he left. I guess he lost his smile...
This is the only AJ that matters smark babbies
>Stardust is dead according to Cody's kayfabe twitter
>Goldie looking for a new partner
Are we getting a Rhodes family reunion
Once Roman wins the title at Mania Owens is pretty much top heel (unless Dean turns) since Roman buried LoN and HHH won't be wrestling again till the next mania.
So expect Owens in world title matches post mania, Although I doubt he'll get the title. Only people I see taking the title from Roman are Dean, Seth and MitB.
>he abandoned the company
Top kek, no he went to do something he had a passion for and left by putting over guys like Goldberg and Brock. It's not like he up and quit like another jabroni we know. People were literally saying he couldn't act and he'd fail at Hollywood and he's now one of the highest paid actors out there.
>took his ball and went home
You're saying some dumb stuff kid.
If you don't watch TNA and don't know anything about AJ Styles, you have to know this much.
>AJ, Joe, and Christopher Daniels basically built the company on their backs
>after Jeff Jarrett left and Dixie Carter got more involved with the product, the three of them were slowly phased out in favor of ex WWE guys like Kurt Angle, Lashley and even Bully Ray
>now here's the fun part, AJ's very last storyline in the company is how Dixie screwed with him time and time again
>he ends up winning the World title and walking out of the company
>in real life, they were negotiating his contract
>TNA was so sure AJ we re-sign that they continued the storyline by airing these videos of AJ taking their World title and defending it in other companies like AAA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn-vo-kbfZk
>these videos aired for a few weeks, which was basically AJ trashing Dixie Carter
>they couldn't re-sign AJ and just vacated his title and made a tournament to crown a new one
>AJ went on to NJPW to be an even bigger star than he was in TNA
tl;dr AJ's very last storyline in TNA involved videos of him wrestling in other companies and telling Dixie and TNA to go fuck themselves. And TNA aired this shit on their television show.
I personally see AJ getting MitB, 1 title run then midcard for life.
While smarks may know that KO is a beast in ladder matches, in WWE if you're not a high flyer then you can't be a ladder match specialist
Austin's broken neck finally caught up to him
Yes, there was the deal with not wanting to do a job for Lesnar, but Austin's in-ring days were numbered
He still stuck around to be the RAW GM though, and he's done a lot of other shit over the years
Rock just went cold turkey for a decade
And the only reason he stuck around as long as he did was so he could over-over-sell geriatricster's moves at Mania
>that feel when no 5 foot nothing qt gf
god it hurts to live, short girls are literally best girls
with the WWE Network, you can watch the first year of RAWs for the Attitude Era, which I highly recommend - watching the PPVs as you go
nothing will ever be as good as the Attitude Era. It never can be. WCW's near-even competition for so long is what drove it to new heights, and the real-life Generation X, with it's anti-establishment attitudes, created the market for the WWF to feed them attitude (and get away with it)
Can't wait to listen to JeriGOATs podcast tonight on him, AJ, and the RR. Best podcast
>tfw rock stole his new day dick joke from jerigoats podcast, talk is jericho
Please stop talking about things you don't know about. The Rock left on good terms, he didn't "abandon" anything, the company was stack full of talent and he put over Gillberg and Bork. I find it hard to believe you were even alive at this time.
This feud with Jericho is going to treat Styles very well. Jericho is probably the best option they could gone with for AJs first WWE feud considering a lot of vets nowadays have either phased out or don't make sense.
>Titus O'Neil still using Millions of Dollars
>That feel when we will never hear his Final Boss of Def Jam Vendetta theme again
i never set he just up and walked out without notice
my point is that he didn't do anything for the WWE for like a decade.
>Austin was RAW GM, co-GM, came out periodically to stun people or fuck around with Piper, etc. He wasn't wrestling, but he was there, helping out the company
>Rock didn't do shit after he left
The real legends make the business their life. Rock wanted to leave and do other shit. So fuck him.
>He was supposed to beat Santino's record but he botched going over the ropes immediately
>Rock wanted to leave and do other shit. So fuck him
You literally sound like a literal teenager, and he did make sporadic appearances. Even then, people don't need to be always sucking on Vince's tit their entire lives. That's a pathetic way to live.
People have already gotten tired of Y2J and his 10 million "returns"
>Dudleyz show up after summerslam
>IT'S THE TAG TEAM REVOLUTION AHHHH
Meanwhile in 2016
>Los Matadores haven't appeared in months
>Primetime Players has been dissolved(????)
>Dudleyz are jobbing
>The Ascension are still the ascension
>The Samoans are just jobbing to New Day
>The New Day just pirate around their titles with literally ZERO REAL THREAT to their titles
>Sin Cara is kill so RIP the Lucha's and Kalisto has a single career now
>Stables like SocialJobbers and LoN don't give a fuck about the tag titles
Tag Teams are dead.
shit, I was just looking up what they have now, and apparently it's like every single RAW until about 2002. I haven't watched old RAWs for awhile, and I didn't realize they'd added all that
I consider the Attitude Era to have begun at Survivor Series 1997 - which is about where they started their "first year of Raw" section when they put it out a year ago
Different people give different dates (The Austin Era beginning, VInce's Attitude speech, etc.), but that's what I like - Bret, the last of the old timers, being extinguished
I know I'll never get bad EnC vs Dudleyz vs Hardyz Golden Age but I at least want some sort of rivalry man. Watching the New Day just call singles wrestlers booty every Monday is wearing on me, and I like the New Day a lot.
he wasn't completely gone yet by then, you retarded fuck
considering I said he was gone for about a decade, I wasn't talking about 2003 through 2004, you stupid cuck
Why's everyone, especially Twitter, complaining so hard about The Rock from tonight? I thought the segment was fine and even kinda fun, up to the Usos anyway. I just don't see the problem, I guess.
>Waaahhh da rock went to make movies and stayed away from the PG Era of worst wrestling ever
Don't worry, The Rock wasn't the only one who stopped caring about wwe in the late 00's. I hear it was a dreadful time and I'm glad I missed it.
they need to go with shit like the Two Man Power Trip, the Rock n Sock Connection, Team Hell No, JeriShow, etc. They don't need to have a "unit" tag team like the Hardy Boys or the Dudleyz. They can just take two good wrestlers and pair them up
>if they had two good wrestlers
it also gave rise to the "Mr. McMahon" character
if he hadn't screwed Bret (and done the "Bret Screwed Bret" speech), Austin would never have had his foil.
For Austin to get over, you needed a good enough heel. Jack Tuney and Sgt Slaughter could never have gotten Austin over like he was
Well, Goldust is looking for a tag partner according to the weekly funny R-Truth segment, which I'm actually a little bit excited about because Goldie is a great tag team wrestler, personally better than a singles especially if he's going no where above SmackDown.
If it's Cody I'll honestly mark out because it'll mean they might be PPV worthy challengers.
It's tough, NXT tag division is pretty dire aswell. Enzo and Cass will probably be up soon and should make for some pretty entertaining promo battles with New Day, but American Alpha will probably stay in NXT for a while. Maybe if they let Wyatts, or Rusev and Barrett compete in the tag division. or bring Anderson and Gallows in when Balor debuts
were you trying to correct me and failing, or just mentioning them too?
Austin was over after he took Trips' King of the Ring win. He would've been as good as Triple H or The Rock then. But to be what he became - by far the greatest draw in history - he needed a Mr. McMahon to beat up, spray with beer, etc. And McMahon's challenges - the Royal Rumbles, The Corporate Ministry, etc. - made him the great [anti]hero he was
tl;dr he was a 9.5 before, and with McMahon was a 11/10
As soon as I realized where they were, there was no real expectations for a huge surprise personally, and I hope he doesn't end up doing this sorta thing again next year since it's been happening sorta often with the last few now, but it was still nice having him show up
>Triple fucking H is guaranteed to main event the "biggest WrestleMania of all time"
>if you believe the Attitude Era was the end-all-be-all, you're not a WRESTLING fan. The wrestling back then SUCKED.
>Current product is about a billion times better in-ring and more entertaining storytelling in matches. You just want boobies.
Is she right?
>your opinions are wrong
I don't particularly like the fedora meme but you earned it m8
>Watching AJ Styles shoot on Daniel Bryan
>Says his first match at ROH with Daniel was GOAT
>Says he deserves everything he got during WM 30 cause he is a great wrestling
>tfw feeling happy till i realize we might still not see Dbry vs Styles in WWE
Why can't WWE clear the fucker already, just for one match with AJ
I actually like where The Mechanics are going with the whole "no flips, just fists" thing they've been doing. No other team in the company really works their style, and they've been working that difference between them and the rest of the tag teams into their promos. They're starting to show a bit of character, and I hope they continue to develop that part of their game.
I don't think they're a lock to reach their potential, but I do think their potential ceiling is high.
Well they're both jesusfags
jericho is smart enough to mostly keep it to himself though
So they're generic heels?
I'm not saying NXT tag teams are bad, but they're still developing. The guy was complaining about the MR tag division and I was just pointing out that there's not many MR ready teams in NXT to help it out
because it's Wrestlemania in Texas...
Personally, I wanted to see him come back and face Brock. Heyman said something about it on Austin's podcast and everyone lost their shit
If you don't know about Austin's latter days with the company: he refused to do a job for Lesnar, because he didn't think Lesnar was ready (not that Lesnar didn't deserve it, but that Austin was too big to do a job for a newcommer). Austin later said he regretted it - that his ego was too big to do the job he should've done
Austin should be willing to come back to make things right, especially in his home state
>take Punk in Chicago at MITB, and multiply it by a hundred thousand
why are six packs so hard to maintain in wrestling? everyone just looks bloated or fat in jerichos case
>charlotte is hot goyim, becky isn't an orange, sasha isn't a man
>tfw when you know it actually looks like an anthropomorphic bird wearing a flesh suit
Haitch goyim when?
>he refused to do a job for Lesnar, because he didn't think Lesnar was ready (not that Lesnar didn't deserve it, but that Austin was too big to do a job for a newcommer).
That isn't what happened at all, moron.
Austin didn't want to job that match on free TV with zero build, because he's not an idiot.
Unfortunately for what everyone wants, Austin has been pretty forthright about the fact he's not coming back to the ring.
He can't have a good match, there's no-one left he especially wants to work with and short of Vince driving a dump-truck full of money up to his ranch there's no reason for him to come back.
some guys just cant find time to work out, you have to be dedicated like the A+ player.
Do some research, moron.
For a long time, Austin has himself come out and said that he had a problem putting Lesnar over. He didn't have a problem putting other big names over, but he didn't want to do business with Brock because he didn't think Brock was established enough to deserve Austin's rub.
Of course Austin would've have wanted to job on tv - who would? But the issue with Brock is what drove him out. That's why he walked out.
Daily reminder R Truth once held once of the most historic world heavyweight titles in the history of professional wrestling.
>there's no reason for him to come back
1. It's his home state. Austin never got tired of performing - whether it was being the Sheriff (GM) or having Wrestlemania moments. I remember one PPV in the late 00s or early 10s, he road to the ring on his atv, did whatever, then - the memorable part - he rode up the state, stopped his atv at the top of the ramp... and just sort of basked in the fans. you could tell he was savoring every second he got to be doing that again.
2. I think making things right with Brock would be worth it. His ego re: Brock was a main reason he left, and especially considering they're "friends" in real life (as close as Brock has to a friend), I think making it right would be important to him
Austin's days were numbered, especially for health reasons. He looks like a badass even today, but even now, he doesn't feel he's physically capable of putting on a good show. There was a ticking clock over his head
Brock was important as to the "how" and "when" he left, not the "if he would."
I know that's what he said
After the Heyman broadcast, he realized everyone lost it in hopes of him coming back, and he had to quash the rumors
but in the back of his mind, I think he wants to. I don't think he will, but I think he knows that he'd love it
"full time job" doesn't even begin to describe life on the main roster.
WWE would benefit greatly from an off-season for the guys in the back to get some much needed rest and to tidy up their creative decisions, even if it was only a month out of the year.
Faggot you needs to stuff your mouth with dick and stop talking
Owens is who he is. He could make himself look just like Cena and every other bodybuilder Vince has jerked off to for the past decade, but that's not who he is.
Just like Foley, he's not defined by his physique. He's defined by his entertainment, his attitude, his personality. He's defined himself as who he is - not some generic cookie cutter muscle man. He's still tough as hell, but it's not just a show. We need more Foleys, less Cenas
