The first goblin died in episode 2 already.
War is the sum of what we are, faggot.
We thrive in conflict, evolve in it.
Look at what happens when peace sticks around for too long.
Decadence and the fall of civilization.
Having a war from time to time does nothing but good.
>You're implying we aren't wrong by nature.
Yeah right. You can't trick me Goblin scum.
Nature doesn't care about what's right or wrong.
Nature creates you from a crappy skillset and then throws you into the arena and doesn't even care if your species survives.
From elements, beasts, natural catastrophes and even other humans.
Conflict and the threat of death whips the species into marching to a brighter tomorrow.
It's not our fault we made survival into an art form.
One hour left
Obviously, if the murdering savage hordes of human trash stop first.
No one can stop humanity's glorious march of survival.
Even when shit gets so dire that the people can't feed themselves or currency becomes so worthless to be relegated to children's play things, conflict will whip the downtrodden humans to stand back up, built a new empire and bite back.
Goblins don't stand a chance in hell to keep up.
Goblins should just be happy that they serve as tinder to light the flame of a superior species.
>Nature doesn't care about what's right or wrong.
Which doesn't mean right and wrong doesn't exist, it just means nature in inherently evil. Only by breaking free of natures shackles can we achieve a world free of evil.
Be the change that you wish to see in the world!
What change? That "no borders", "Migrants welcome", "I was born and raised in the first world without conflict so I believe that because I wouldn't do something the rest of the world wouldn't either" shit that is harkening the end of western Europe?
You might be able to fight nature, Anon. But that doesn't mean others will subscribe to your spineless liberal ways.
How is something that doesn't care in the least about anything inherently evil? Nature is true neutrality.
Sure there's right and wrong in society. And empathy stops you from going full monster. But never should you let others hamper your survival because it is "wrong" to stand up for yourself and do away with a few sub humans that want you dead.
Not the best, but so long as you're not braindead you'll be fine. Honestly my problem with funi rips isn't sub quality, but rather typesetting. I can only take so much white text on top of white kanji
>war is the sum of what we are
>peace leads to decadence
Manato's teacher is voiced by Jouji Nakata.
Who the duck cares anymore? , Manato just died, best boy died
He is now in a better place where he does not have to murder goblins.
I know I should feel sorry for him
but OTP save!
>[HorribleSubs] Hai to Gensou no Grimgar - 04
It's up for those that don't want to wait for anything better.
>not having enough money to buy the whole revival building
What is better than CR/HR?
Guys, this gob here is the MVP of the battle.
They actually change how they meet the Goblin boss team.
But that actually make Goblins more clever(feels like them noticed MC team for a while), so i'm okay with that and it's not a bad change.
this made me chuckle.
>priest's face when no money
So all the mystery about their past lives was just wasting our time and they're normal students from the same high school who all know the cheer by heart?
the fight here was poorly done compared to the LN.
Specifically because in the LN they made the decision to engage and the fight lasted quite some time where they broke and disengaged.
I think the main problem here is that it shows this more of an 'act of god' that this happened rather than them being unable to gauge the strength of their enemies, when to retreat, or how to co-ordonate a long fight.
I wouldn't go that far. It is mainly they felt they could take 4 on, and saw a group of well-armored 2. They did not plan for the fact that the gobs may have had some actual skill to their fighting. When the fight dragged on they just kept trying to force it and didn't change their tactics. Only when they were dead beat tired did they retreat, and in no way was it orderly.
But she has shitty feet, like in >>136845003. I bet you're one of those autistic armpitfags that's been needlessly persecuting me for literally no reason. Drop dead, you shiteater.
Remind yourself, that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
or maybe I'm not judging the character as a fucktoy and instead on their merits to the party
What the fuck was that? You call that a climax? Jiraya had a better directed death and mourning scene and that was a shounen! This is supposed to be the high point of the show, where you throw everything you have at the viewer, but A1 gives us music during first aid scene but none during fleeing scene, still images from the light novel and shitty jpop!
>not having every frames of Yume
No, she's my yome
Ahh... waited for this, now just wait that they get some new friends and some of them of die too :)))
I like the creativity there. I saw set up get put out there but I couldn't find how to spin it to grimgar.
>they can't even kill goblins
>one of them dies
Where the fuck does the show go now? Don't tell me they all of a sudden become good and kill goblins like ease.
Hmm... 4 episodes in and its been a pretty slow start anyone who has read the manga do they even do anything besides clearing the same spawns over and over? This is the turning point right? The visuals are great but I'ts getting boring watching them struggle over some goblins.
>Chilling in temple
>Scrubs run in carrying dead guy
>Tell them he's dead
>Get screamed at
I felt bad for customer service highelf-san
>Where the fuck does the show go now?
They realize fighting the goblins is bad and only brings suffering to both sides and for the rest of the show they try to create peace between races.
>addressing your deity using the -chan suffix
They truly are scrubs
If this is literally true the whole anime went to shit for me. I was hoping they would get gud and actually be able to come back and kill the rest of the goblin tribe. This anime is just fucking trash.
Because of a certain spoiler, I laughed out loud here.
Thats is what you deserve for being a only-clothfag.
>thief gets 2shotted and lives
>priest gets 1shot in the back and dies
>priest can't heal himself because he is wounded
Holy shit are there no healing potions in this universe? Only way to heal is having a priest in the party?!
I was a little concerned because I heard this turns into a total edge-fest after Healer Bro dies, but damn if it wasn't an emotional episode. Maybe its because I haven't slept in 24 hours, but I was could feel a lump in my throat when they went back to the Head Priest. Lots of stills, lots of scenes with no movement and just music, lots of powerpoint slideshows, but it wasn't bad.
It's not often that you get to feel legitimately afraid while watching anime.
When this fucker went into a fencing pose I got chills. That's one way to immediately establish that he's significantly more dangerous.
Shit tanks didn't take aggro off priest, mage didn't cc, rogue was the only one trying to peel for healer, hunter didn't do anything.
Would kick these scrubs from my group in an instant.
Yeah, I was incredibly disappointed. The show loves to use silence to set tone, and it did it every single moment it wanted to except for the one time it really needed it, and it fucked it up.
What was with the really shitty freeze frame when Manato got shot in the back? Why the hell did they play that music in the forest after they ran away? It overpowered the scene and ruined it.
The anime music video shit was fine for every other episode, but for this one it really kills the immersion. Why did they show Renji's crew when they have nothing to do with this nor are we given any new info about them? It's a non-sequitur. Then the annoying looped animation before a cut to a window.
All of this felt so forced and unnatural, and completely went against most of what the show was doing up to now.
I really like the DOMO cut. In the LN it gave me shivers every time it was used - just the implied force. It's nice to have some thought behind the skills and their culture, how it is given a nickname.
"Thanks for letting me kill you"
Healing Potions usually never exist in these settings, even if they did they would cost a fortune most likely.
Then the priest ran with the wound for the most part to escape the goblins with the group. He also healed the thief's wounds at the start so he could escape also.
Also the mage girl said if you meditate you can regain some health. Why didn't they lay him in the ground so he could meditate why they stood guard?
It made me mad tbqh.
Who the hell goes into a fencing style with a short sword as badly balanced as that?
that is such a weak guard though. All he can do from that stance is lunge or a 3 cut or parry a blow on his left side.
The way he extends in a lunge with his arm turned like that he is losing reach as well.
Lunging with such a short blade is extremely dangerous to the point of his attacks being considered suicidal.
I really like how even during battles the goblins are depicted as something more than just mindless monsters. It's pretty important.
>dressing immodestly in a holy place
Fuck it, this party is a checklist.
>Why the hell did they play that music in the forest after they ran away?
It was as if the animators wanted us to believe that there was a chance of survival and that Manato was fighting for his life. But he dies within a minute after the song starts.
>The anime music video shit was fine for every other episode, but for this one it really kills the immersion.
It was fucking great when they coped with the goblins death but why Jpop during a burial scene?
>All of this felt so forced and unnatural, and completely went against most of what the show was doing up to now.
It felt as if it wasn't enough. This was supposed to be the episode where Erens mom dies, where Lelouch gets stabbed and it didn't hold a candle to either of those.
>No one decided to learn a healing wounds skill via magic or bandages
>tank didn't even spec to be paladin
>no one has a aggro skill
>mage didn't even bother to cc while hiding and waiting for them
>useless hunter can't even use a bow
this makes me cringe so bad
>This was supposed to be the episode where Erens mom dies, where Lelouch gets stabbed and it didn't hold a candle to either of those.
Not it wasn't, this isn't the turning point of anything, this is not even HALF of the first volume.
This dead isn't meant to feel sad, it's meant to show you it's not a game.
Anime just overdid it.
Wait isn't the guys demon suppose to tell him when enemy's are nearby? The fuck they just fucking decided to not even mention this part.
I'm amazed no one pointed out the floating/clipping trees yet
there were a lot of changes made to how it went down and the other choices made didn't help much either.
why are you so mad? pic related.
Both gobbos were aiming exclusively for the priest all along.
Unlike somebody, they knew what they were doing.
They got sniped on top of a building, no way is his range gonna be like five stories up and however many hundreds of feet away they'd have to be. Plus, they basically all got attacked by a group of Elites when they had just gotten the hang of farming regular mobs.
>This dead isn't meant to feel sad, it's meant to show you it's not a game.
How about mutilation or death of a non-party character? How about the goblins screaming for their lives? There were tons of better ways to make the viewer aware of this.
>Anime just overdid it.
They underdid it, they didn't bother investing into this so they just painted some stills instead of animating bitch tears and mental breakdowns.
I caught that when I was skipping around re-watching chunks. Did not see it the first time. I was hoping that they would have been "LOL SAVING BUDGET" for this episode or something but they completely shit the bed.
wasn't the first shot in the LN directed at the girls? I recall haruhiro saving the mage when he got shot.
How the fuck are they going to beat these guys?
In the novels they (the MCs) are the ones that engage and the goblins are less and don't seem as strong as these fuckers.
Later there's meant to be even more of them (I think there was 2 or 3 originally and then there's like 4 or 5) and they are meant to take them out.
I really can't see them taking out this group of badasses, even in their current form in volume 3.
Top Kek that's what you get for slaughtering all that goblin's brethren.
They were always inferior to their opposition since episode 1.
All they ever accomplished, including this one where new skills were showcased, was killing isolated, unprepared small goblins by means of numerical superiority.
How come these guys are such shitters?
And the other guys such pros?
>leave the town
>invade goblin town
>gank low level goblins 2 days in a row
>higher lvl goblins come to protect lowbies
served them right tbqh they shouldn't be ganking lowbie goblins in their starter zone.
You don't get it, the point was that anyone can die in this, MC, side character, doesn't matter, when shit gets tight people will die, it's meant to make everyone (viewers and characters) face the reality of the characters.
This wasn't meant to feel sad, both we and them barely knew Manato much.
The anime overdid it in trying to make it like it was the end of the world when that wasn't the point.
His range not being 1000 yards or whatever it was doesn't automatically mean his demon sense shit is short range. Or it could, they did just learn the skills after all. I have no fucking clue. But considering the gob was on the roof as a tall as fuck building, and that Ranta was tailing behind the pack while Manato went forward, its not a stretch to say he's out of range.
How about shaking Manatos dead corpse giving him cpr? How about running away from the scene not wanting to see the corpse? How about puking at the sight of death? How about just passing out?
except it was obvious that priest wasn't MC but a mentor character who often dies
The difference between the cream of the crop and the left overs.
Seriously, the only one that was worth a damn was Manato and you saw what happened to him for being dragged down by scrubs for a week.
More like they were matching up with similarly level Gobs and the gobs told their faggot max level friends to come get revenge. If anyone's at fault here its those dirty greenskin lowbies
>Healing Potions usually never exist in these settings
They did in SAO and people still refused to use them.
Well I don't know, it certainly managed to carry over the feeling of "HOLY FUCK WE CAN'T HANDLE THIS EVERYONE LEG IT OUT OF HERE"
It did come off as a lack of awareness, the ambush happened after they finished the planned expedition and nobody seemed to take care of their surroundings. Even Manato himself, who just praised Shihoru for that.
>The anime overdid it in trying to make it like it was the end of the world when that wasn't the point.
But i can't see them acting like "it was the end of the world".
Seriously, what i think is they didn't over or underdid it, anime just doing their own way.
>that pause while he was thinking of some way to praise her
>Top priest in my class
>Always have to heal my shitty as team mates
>Tell them everything is find and we can do it because god knows if I don't we will get no where
>Thief always telling me weird shit in the middle of the night
>Dark Night annoying as hell
>Tank is ok
>hunter is the most useless in party
>mage is the 2nd most useless
>why did I even stick around with these losers
>This wasn't meant to feel sad, both we and them barely knew Manato much.
This implies that we viewers are not invested into the characters, if we aren't then it doesn't matter how many of them actually die. The reason it needs to be sad is to make the viewer not want to experience it again.
>anime just doing their own way
I'm not just saying this just from the prespective of a LN reader (though, since I'm one, I can tell what the idea behind his dead was and what they were aiming for).
The anime did drag it a bit too much at the end when it shouldn't have.
>Get shot in the back
>Hurts like hell
>Manage to direct my useless ass party out of the warzone with a bolt in my left lung
>Once we're free I collapse for a second, just to catch my breath
>Party freaking out, crying and acting hysterical
>Start healing magic
>Realize if I heal myself I'll just continue to be stuck with them
>Fuck it, dying is better then carrying these noobs for the rest of my life
And thats the story of Manato's death
Comparing Manato to Kamina is Hersey , and I liked Manato
Tank and healers are always the most competent. DPS is for noobs who can't handle being a tank or healer
Fuck this fucking show!
I didn't ask for all these feels.
Fuck! WHY MANATO WHY!
they fully planned the fight in the LN and it was drawn out to the limits of all their stamina and magic powers.
I feel just that made certainly a huge difference. Here, it would seem that if they had stood on level ground they would stand a chance. In the LN they brought their absolute A game and were humbled for it.
So Manato gives everyone a complement but this guy? Does he hate him or something?
that was my first thought but then how do you explain their movements?
why do other side players sleep in the ruins?
why do they move so slowly even if we consider them to mirror goblins?
please PLEASE dont tell me the next 5-6 episodes are just going to be "We need to get revenge on that blue goblin that killed manato"
>Maybe they have revives.
>Maybe that's high level magic that a bunch of scrubs wouldn't even know about much less be able to learn.
No they don't. Souma(pretty much THE BEST) is looking for a way to revive his dead teammates.
Caster had weird looking boobs here, which is strange considering they put so much focus on them. Its like, her thing to have nice full breasts. Instead they just look terrible. Was this supposed to be a bit of fan service?
that's only true for shitty MMOs
if the game has any sort of targeting system, pets, traps, false data etc. then warlocks and hunters are infinitely harder than 'press x to not die' or 'hulk draw aggro, hulk smart'
no bias here
Is there going to be an insert song every episode? Kind of silly at this point.
But based Ranta for putting in some work.
The girl priest MC like reject the other guy straight away, and there are hints that she like MC.
The NTR thing it's just because some people here have something wrong in the head and spread fake spoliler.
But I'm invested and didn't want him to die, but that doesn't change the point that his dead was just to showcase that this is how the world works and there's no reason to make it seem like someone you knew for more than a month died rather than just your "let's kill defenceless goblins" partener.
