That's what you get when you murder innocent gobblies
I want to see Yume in Demiurge's happy fun place!
>Healer is constantly out in the open instead of being shielded by a person at all times.
>They have absolutely no range DPS to speak of.
>They don't have ANY utility abilities or skills to speak of: Thief can't pick pocket, Ranger can't forage for nuts n' berries, and none of the casters can conjure up food and water.
>Picking fights with humanoids purely on the basis that that is the monster you've manage to find as opposed to investing more time in finding and hunting down animals that are actually worth money and made of materials that they can use for crafting.
They've been waltzing around in their starting gear murdering gobbies and have been in the same area long enough that they've drawn the attention of the elite gobblie-goobies. Did they think the goobers would just let them murder them willy-nilly?
>Hol up guys let me be vanguard even tho I have zero armor and should actually be healing the fat guy with massive armor
He deserved it. Pretty sure the old fart didn't rez him because he is such a scrub.
Rip in piss boon.
What skills does the other competent party use that makes them not die like retards?
>Healer is constantly out in the open instead of being shielded by a person at all times.
Someone's stuck with the incorrect mindset that healers can't front-line. That staff isn't a prop.
Not quite, in the afterword of volume 1, author mentions few games that were inspiration. Dragon Quest, Wizardry, and Final Fantasy are in front of the list, all early entries of those series used spellcasts/day system.
While technically JRPGs, all the old ones used the D&D as base.
I feel like Manato would have had maybe a little more survivability if he had focused on more of the "priest" class and less of the "cleric" class.
He'd probably have more mana and wouldn't be wasting his time using mana and energy physically engaging enemies while he could be sitting back kissing booboos.
Though, if it's and butts were candy and nuts- the party probably wouldn't have to save up for underpants, so whatever.
Also just on a side note, something that's been annoying me:
>by going with less sturdy class
If he went Healer instead of Cleric, he'd get 1 more spell cast on each spell level, BUT he'd have lesser health pool and bleed out faster.
So why did they waste money on cremating him? Why not let him rise as an undead and then kill him for XP/loot(?)/vices?
Fucking casuals and their carebear mentality.
In a proper party a control mage can create miracles... in this party however you have to teach what competence is... rather than destruction or control what they needed was a sages wisdom
They will appear again for a bit next week when Renji gives Haruhiro a gold coin (faggot MC obviously rejects it cause muh pride).
>can you imagine to act as these bozos did and wander around relaxed like that in danger zones?
>Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
If he feels like it (the demon) he can shit-post into the ear of one opponent.
He can also tell the presence of enemies (but only if he feels like it).
Also it basically only works at night.
>hunters use traps and ranged weapons with daggers/machete/whathaveyou canonically
>rangers use ranged weapons (duh)
>thieves use daggers
>hunter is somehow not a bit of both ranger and thief
you can keep denying it if that helps you sleep at night
>Fucking casuals and their carebear mentality.
"Be wary- triumphant pride precipitates a dizzying fall."
What kind of amateurs are they after a month of being stuck in this world.
I mean casually walking around alone in enemy territory without checking for ambushes or anything is just asking to get sniped.
>healer on front lines
>tank doesn't really have any armour
>archer goes with melee skills
>thief that doesn't really do anything thief-related, just is shittier in fighting
>wizard that casts one spell every fight tops
>dark knight that doesn't really have anything that would differenciate him from a simple knight
We get it, they are shit. Also it seems pretty pointless to forcefully make it into a game with all this "I got a new skill!!!11", why not finally just make a standard fantasy?
Also, this episode nothing happened once again. One dude died, and we were forced to watch faggots cry for half an episode. Is there any point in continuing watching? Does it get interesting ever?
>Thinking the money you get from working a 9 to 5 peasant level job pays more than adventuring.
I'm thinking a vast majority of commoners aren't able to make a silver coin worth of money in a month.
Why did a bunch of bigger goblins suddenly attack them? Was it because they camped in enemy territory? This was probably a Manato decision since he's the leader, thus his death is not undeserved.
>Is there any point in continuing watching?
> Renji is an alpha male
> Ron is your typical delinquent guy
> Adachi is the smart glasses guy
The two girls are MC team tier just surrounded by competent guys and good equipment.
Rangers are the ones that use both bows and light swords.
Hunters use only bows and traps, and daggers just for craftmans jobs(which Yume should fucking focus from now on since she is useless in battle)
Thiefs use daggers because they need to be light and move fast.
By your logic everyone is a thief, I can use daggers too you know?
I agree. So much time was wasted on useless shit like:
>the dangers of not wearing panties
>the flavor of the big gay guy's cooking
But no, that's not bad enough. They also had to make them literal retards!
>Why did a bunch of bigger goblins suddenly attack them? Was it because they camped in enemy territory?
They had been grinding that area for days and the Goblins aren't mindless, they're people unto themselves.
They got ambushed and attacked by a group of Goblins with CLASS levels (like our own characters) and essentially got shit on because the Goblins were better skilled and more optimized- knowing when to sit back and having actual balanced party chemistry.
He was activating death flags for two episodes and a half.
They could have been a bit more subtle, there is no way to build drama when they expended two keeps shouting at our faces "he is gonna die"
looks like we found the second best boy after MANato
>Implying you can do any better than the cast
Don't be a retard. The other group would leave your incompetent ass behind to be raped to death by the goblins before the night is over.
Yeah being edgy and being an asshole to at least one member of the party mostly the girls.
>Yume rocking back and forth
>Cuts to MC also rocking in sympathy
Cute, top notch, 10/10 scene
>10 minutes of >oh no we're not wearing underwear = goals & development
If you introduce a great world like that then you need to spend more time on the actual plot instead of useless shit.
What exactly did you expect a bunch of teenagers with zero knowledge of the world they're on, and zero knowledge of their past life suppose to do? Hell, I am 90% certain that if it was one of /a/non in their situation, they would have just given up and gone off to become a dishwasher at their first injury.
I've never been much of an RPG fan, but this and Konosuba are giving me some major itch over here.
What are some good RPGs with structures and settings similar to those two shows?
No MMO please, I'm a scrub and would rather not put my time on endless grinding.
The characters have no goals besides not dying.
Everyone is exactly the same as they were on day 1.
Shitty joke scenes and slideshows of characters walking around and doing random shit are not character interaction.
Renji's crew seems to be doing pretty damn good considering they're in the same boat. I haven't read the LN, but I'm sure the story would be a lot more interesting with a competent group.
Most action adventure anime focuses only on that, even the story, characters, and plot are devices for the fight scenes, this show balances both the SoL of being trapped in a fantasy world and the action adventure part of making their way.
>knowing that your party leader said something good about everyone in your party except you
Did anyone feel bad when the guy died?
I knew it was coming but I feel like there was a distinct lack of fucks given from me when it happened. I don't know if this is a problem on my side or it was the show. At that point it made me realize just how indifferent I actually felt about the character. Eh.
Honestly I thought I'd roll a tank in this setting, but holy fuck the stress when someone gets hit or even bites the dust and it's at least partially your fault.
Anon, they have zero memories of the world they came from and have zero knowledge of their current world. Unlike modern times where it is easy to teach kids to use guns and become impromptu minesweepers, they have to learn shit the old fashion way. Through training. They receive only 1 week worth of that. Shit, it's like expecting someone who had 1 week worth of wilderness survival training to suddenly survive out in the wild? Now, stop being a retard.
>The characters have no goals besides not dying.
>i'm a fucking retard that didn't watch the episode
>Everyone is exactly the same as they were on day 1.
>Shitty joke scenes and slideshows of characters walking around and doing random shit are not character interaction.
Oh, you're mentally deficient.
A twelve year old in the same situation, by the end of episode 2, would apply more common sense to everything happening in the world, than the collective common sense applied by all in that party. Holy shit.
Grimgar is practically MMORPG Antics, Bugaloo Cringe: The Resurrection.
>at their first injury
You just kidding right? If it was me I would avoid fighting at all cost and rather become farmer. Or join the hunter guild and would kill cute and harmless animals to eat them.
They can shove their goblin crousade up into their ass!
The rest of the cast are idiots that would have turned around immediately and there probably would have been 2 more arrow casualties at least
in short... can't have the animu ending
>You just kidding right? If it was me I would avoid fighting at all cost and rather become farmer.
Woah look at this anon, your dream came true, you can be a boring fuck that dies without doing anything memorable!
I'd actually pay for being able to do quests and explore dungeons and shit. Getting loads of money would be only a bonus.
Yes it fucking is. Look at them and their clothes when they arrived. Do they look like people that regularly goes off to gyms to become fit? Do they look like people that have been training for most of their lives to fight in life and death situation? Hell, other than the big guy, do any of them look like they've ever held a blade at all?
See the little goblin
See his little feet
See his little nosey wose
Isn't the goblin sweet?
Yeah, once they've grown and have experience, it'll be nice, but the slow start and watching them fuck everything up, including their class/jobs, makes it a bit of a drag to watch.
hahaHahahahaHahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU MANATO
>Something that humans suck at
That's why gorillas are capable of wiping out human race with the press of a single but- no wait they aren't.
In fact humans can exterminate everything on our planet if we wish so.
If that isn't instinct then I don't know what is. We had an instinct we're not good at fighting so we made weapons and armor to even the odds out.
When you stay a virgin past the age of 30 this is what you become.
I can understand why you defend shitty writing? It's impossible even for teenagers in unknown wild being so useless. It's impossible for human beings. Do you even have sense of reality?
that's why they didn't train shit
that's why archer couldn't hit a thing
mage couldn't speedcast or hit
dark knight should've practiced more against thiev in cqb
"training? no, didn't hear
They could had just waited to see if he would have raised as a Dark Soul undead.
If he turned hollow then they could have tried to put him to rest
>You are as bad as the kids who say adrenaline is all that matters in a fight.
Considering adrenaline turns scrawny losers into really pissed off people who can break you in half, yes, it does matter a lot in a fight.
Having a weapon doesn't mean much when you kill a guy right after you die.
Shouldn't you always aim for the mass center though? It's not like he has perfect aim, or like the crossbow shoots exactly like you want it to, aiming for head would be risky.
This. Barely anything happened once again.
Also the scene at the beginning:
"I'm glad we talked"
No you didn't talk, you said like one sentence and then she tripped, how did this scene even make it into the anime?
>has different adventure classes
>but no libraries
>no training facilities
>NOTHING that would help someone with zero adventuring knowledge in not doing absolutely fucking RETARDED decision making
If they do have these so called facilities, and the characters ignore them, to run headfirst into battle with no knowledge, experience, or proper teamwork; then they deserve to die and I shed no sympathy for them.
Also, a priest as a vanguard was guaranteed death. Not one person in the party realized it was idiotic, including party leader himself. Shocking.
Thanks, looks like I have a starting point.
I'd be willing to even give those old clunky CRPGs a chance, but I'd better start from an entry point like Dragons Dogma, Fable or Etrian Odyssey seem to be.
Nah, FF is something else entirely.
>Do you born after 1995?
>If they do have these so called facilities, and the characters ignore them, to run headfirst into battle with no knowledge, experience, or proper teamwork; then they deserve to die and I shed no sympathy for them.
THOSE THINGS COST LOTS OF MONEY HOLY FUCK YOU'RE ANNOYING FUCK OFF RETARD.
One week of training is not enough. Fuck, I've taken a years worth of archery classes and even with all the conveniences of modern compound bows and sights, I still can't hit bulls eyes. And you expect someone with a week's worth to do it under real life combat conditions? Oh hell no.
>I'd be willing to even give those old clunky CRPGs a chance
Do that first otherwise you'll be used to horrible turds like Skyrim and handwave good games away for being old.
If you start with CRPGs first you'll at worst be disillusioned with state of modern RPGs and long for CRPGs to make a return.
Oh fuck, yeah, tactics are by far my favourites.
> 9 best
Never played the 9, it looks stupid.
And doesn't the Zodiac version of 12 is that one where everything is hack and you can have infinite shit like the Zodiac spears? Bulshit game.
25 meters so hard?
Even with a week, a hard worked week like your life deppends on it would make her to be able at least hit something at 25 meters
nobody expexts bull's eye, but a decent accuracy expecance can be met.
>be archer in grimgar
>have a party, not doing this solo
>don't have to kill the enemy, though if you do; that's good
>you just have to hit
>nah fuck that, I'll use a knife instead
Yume's got a great ass, but jesus christ; I wouldn't want her in my party to be anything more than a cum dump. The autism of her decision making would infect me and get me killed.
Look at them. Other than Renji, most of them look like people that come from well-adjusted family and live very safe lives. You get into, maybe one or two fights, and that's it. And as it has been repeatedly said, they have zero memories of it.
>like in any RPG the "NPC's" will jew you literally on any service
>even on burning corpse so it doesn't raise like undead and murder everyone
>ditching adventurer life and getting normal work so you can strip scrubs of all their dosh even after they die is somehow bad idea
it could have some fees, some other MMO novel
as much as I dont wanna compare thesehad fees to be able to enter the library, and more to rent the books, though they return the money used to rent the books
Fukken seconded. Especially Mask of the Betrayer.
Apart from Kotor, the best evil campaign ever.
Let me give you a rundown on Etrian Odyssey games.
First three are on Nintendo DS. Very comfy to play on a real console, still good on smartphone/tablet, and okay on PC.
The reason is map drawing - you draw your own maps. If you look up maps online like a casual then it's not an issue.
1 is the original game, it's kinda aged but d
2 is a sequel of sorts, you get minor benefits and extra dialogue if you beat 1 first. My personal favorite.
3 is quite different, instead of usual fantasy setting with knights, paladins, etc, you get pirates, princesses, farmers, shit like that. It's very unique and refreshing setting. Also, the best one of the DS games.
There is also 7th Dragon. Also similar to EO, but not quite. Still a great game, but play some mainline EO first.
Now, 3DS games. No (good) emulation of 3DS yet, so unless you've got a console, you won't get to play those.
4 is the best starting point, 1 and 2 have been remade for it, there is 5 and remake of 3 coming soon.
How my OTP will work if one half is ashes now?
>someone ITT trying to excuse their retardism with muh teenagers and muh training
I'll ignore the other replies because it's clear they're bait. But that's the thing, I've taken those classes for fun. I can land accurate shots, but I can never get reliable bulls-eyes whenever I want it to. It usually takes multiple shots to properly line up the sights before I can, and this is under very safe conditions and with modern conveniences. The cast does not have that luxury. They have one shot at this before things go incredibly hectic. Can I hit a stationary target? Of course. Can I hit a moving target with all of the pressure of a life and death situation? I would have turned and ran before the arrow even hits the target.
>spoiled myself Manato's death
>still manage to get chills and think that the episode wasn't bad
>pic related happens
What the actual fuck.
>Especially Mask of the Betrayer.
NWN2 is shit.
Look at that wet shiny ass.
I dropped this shit because the main party is so stupid that i cringe everytime they fight
>hurr our trainings was so hard
>cant kill a lone gob easily
I mean, what the fuck
Do they even get better?
Or theyre going to hunt only gobs until the end?
Yes, im an animeonlyfag
Did you miss the part Guilds are secretive? Haruhiro's Guild gets you killed if you reveal anything about them, even your thief name.
Ranta's guild gets you killed if you desert because of the same reasons.
The rest are the same. You can't learn useful in libraries.
But also lots of Relics, Treasure, and sense of accomplishment.
This is why practice is needed. Make some targets and shoot while moving if you can't make the targets move, or just ask somebody else to move the targets and emulate real situation. If she'd done it properply, in a weak or maybein a day, her hit ratio would something like positive.
But clearly not too secretive because they're presence seems to be common knowledge and any random jackoff can just walk up and join no questions asked.
Please tell me this isn't the actual explanation.
>parties of people hagning out having moe moments
Nope. A big thing for me in DaS1 was how alone you were for most of the journey. And when you met someone, most of the time they were some weirdo who ended up going hollow or a nice guy who also ended up going hollow.
It's better to play The Age of Decadence if you want simulate something like grimgar but without retarded characters. It's game where MC is NOT special. Just average human. So you will die. Die a lot. Everyone able to kill you in one shot. So you should speak and be coward instead of fighting against band of thieves
>But clearly not too secretive because they're presence seems to be common knowledge and any random jackoff can just walk up and join no questions asked.
There's a difference between people knowing about them and people knowing their techniques you fucking retard. What's secret are the superpowers and general guild things, what's not secret it's their existence.
You can walk in and learn everything as long as you pay, teach those things you learn to someone not from the guild and you're dead. Simple as that.
>Please tell me this isn't the actual explanation.
So you're baiting. fuck off
This isn't modern day bows and arrows. You can't reliably retrieve those spent arrows so easily. It costs money, which is something that lack. And practice is fine and all, but you really can't replicate the life and death situations of actual combat. Anyone can succeed at something when there's no penalty for failure or pressure from the risk of death, but when something is on the line, all of that training goes out of the window. Take free-throws in basketball, easy enough when practicing, but people fuck it up plenty of times during a match.
>It's fine in D&D where bad rolls end up being laughed off with friends
>enemy by a campfire
>warrior rolls to charge
>jumps into the campfire
>is set on fire
>the enemy is now screaming because warrior wasted the ambush
>other enemies are screaming
>archer goes with melee skills
What's wrong with rangers going melee?
This is what divides a good training form bad. Plus, make a few arrows pure for training? Like training rifles, which are used solely for dissassemly, they can't shoot, they are made from real rifles form service, but deactivated.
12 Is best FF. It's more mature and intresting. People who like 12 have good taste. Too bad it's not complete.
Even when something happens nothing happens in the show, when it was ending I swore it couldn't be right but indeed half the episode was a music video with still shots. They couldn't just scrap that shit down and show at least a couple minutes of them coping without manto, or at least some animations of every one being sad and no bad music
Must suck paying cremation every time you die. Makes you want dying less.
Hit something, yes. Hard enough to penetrate a target at a crucial spot while fully knowing that you can die if you miss? Probably not. There's also the factor of if they are willing to take the life of another creature to the point of not actually aiming to take its life, which is a heavily debated topic.
>choose carefully the class of each character of my party
>get in the first dungeon
>first encounter, a little animal
>oh fuck, that little critter was actually strong
>fought more critters with more caution
>0 MP/TP, no more recovery items
>get back to town, buy some stuff
>back to the dungeon
>heh, I think I got the hang of this
>being more confident, start exploring new areas and upper floors
motherfucking FOE appears
This show is just plain Etrian Odyssey: The Animation.
Someone should tap this onto the scene where they get rekt by the hobgoblins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB_PVPyn6n8
It was, before Square fucked it, and if it wasn't enough they fucked DQ too
Why they didn't transfer prana?
Make a few arrows? Homemade arrows are completely unlike the professional crafted arrows, which just skews up your aim during combat even more. This isn't a gun, the weight, length and how well it was made from an arrow can and will completely screw up the aim from arrow to arrow.
It's same for him. Using bow is not so hard how basement fag thinks. We made them in summer camp loong time ago in school. In death/live situation a lot people act and react much better.
Nah, there is not enough deers. It's more Wizardry, episode 1 was titled after the reviving chant from that game.
>no training facilities
There are training facilities; they're the guilds, and the party was using them, but it costs a lot of money for training.
>libraries cost money
Not sure if this world has the printing press invented yet, but books before the printing press were expensive. Only nobles owned libraries of books, and they are not open to the public since you don't want people stealing or damaging the books.
When I get to fight, desire to kill isn't something strange in that case, all those hormons burning in you, I can't think of anything else than slamming more and more at the enemy. You don't think of such things when you're in danger, your brain is flooded with hormons that doesn't allow you. Although I've never won a fight in my life, makes my comment kinda pathetic.
Shit, it's been so damn long since I played it I barely remember. I played it just when it came out, what was it, like 2003? 2004? I remember that there was a second game released too, but never played it, is it any good?
It's not an EO anime unless they get wiped by a deer with this playing:
dat twich in his lips when dying
The problem is that, archery isn't something you want to lose your emotion over. You need utter discipline to not miss your shot since the more you pull, the more shaky the bow becomes, the more likely the arrow will stray off course. You need to pull it at the right amount, hold the arrow at the right angle, both vertical and horizontal-wise, proper stance, and immaculate hand-eye coordination. I have utmost respect for archers that can reliably hits bulls-eyes after going through all those classes. Shit is fuck-hard.
Prediction for next death:
Wow, that guy SUCKS.
How can he complains about RNG when he sends a bounty hunter (extra damage against stunned and humans), a vestal (who excels at stunning enemies, but didn't had the ability), and a jester (bleed abilities, BLEED), against skeletons (unholy) with 200% bleed resist, and a Necromancer with ~100% stun resist.
That party would have been fine in weald, or the warrens. But not in the Ruins, he fucked up before even starting.
Pls have big bobs and a nice butt.
In a shocking twist. This single panel form the first episode of Konosuba was more entertaining than 4 episodes of this show.
But I'll still watch grimgar just to see how much cringe it's possible to put into a single show, where literally nothing happens.
She's pretty shit at using a bow. If she manages to live until she gets her animal companion, at least she'll be useful until then. I feel like scrub party is a late game party, what with her and bitch-boy Renji.
You're really underestimating just how much a badly crafted arrow can screw up your aiming. The length, weight, feather, arrowhead, almost everything about the arrow can drastically affect its flight path. If you practice with such shitty arrows, then your aiming becomes off as well. Not to mention, arrows aren't guns, it doesn't travel in a straight path nor goes at supersonic speed. The more you pull, the more shaky it becomes. It's really not that simple to hit a moving target, especially in the heat of battle.
Yume doesn't have a miniature giant space hamster to back her up.
For archery? Haha, fuck no. The thing has way too many variable for the pull, the stance and how the arrow is held. All those supposed trick shots you see on youtube requires hundreds of retries to get right. You can't just aim and fire with it.
I was having fun just chilling for 20 minutes every week watching the characters kill some Gobs. It was quite relaxing if nothing else.
Not sure what do I think of it now that apparently there'll be a real plot.
>cant afford to properly bury their friend
>offered to have the costs covered
>NO WE HAVE TO NOT EAT FOR 3 WEEKS BECAUSE HE WAS OUR FRIEND
Cue yet another stupid song.
For fucks sake this show is stupid.
I want to stop watching this but I have small hopes that they will all die eventually.
wut. Even modern day soldiers know if a knife-wielder gets within lunging range, he is dead. Best to get familiarize with a close range weapon so she can defend herself in close range combat and environment, like as in the case of a ruined cityscape. Besides, if she wants to do better in archery, all she has to do is buy a better bow. I cannot stress how important equipment is when it comes to archery.
godammit something is wrong with my pics today
There are story threads with text screenshots from time to tie.
>muh bros before hoes
MANato did his best to keep them alive and earn at least some money and they end up fucking themselves over instead of saving enough silver to unfuck their shit for once
he must be watching them from hell in disgust
They took the very popular mmo games and mmos in nippon and made the protagonists anti-heroes in the true sense of the word - so they're weak, dumb, overly reticent or annoying and it shows them trying to make it work at the bottom with loser sol stuff instead of mary sue life in the fantasy world
They also have some rare hand paints animations, so that's what they got going for them
So is this show going to get good now then?
Of course he wouldn't like that, but sometimes being a friend requires you to do what your friend wouldn't like but is still right. Also look it from another dimension. They did it to have peace in their hearts which is very important in those times.
I knew he is going to die. I tried to look at him like a dead meant from the beginning.. but I liked him and his interactions with that wizard girl and MC. I hate deathflags, they know no mercy.
I should have used all the ass shots but too lazy
Have you only played MMOs?
A Cleric goes perfectly well on the front lines, and rangers can use daggers since forever, thief did his job perfectly by scouting and backstabbing, and the Wizard is obviously trying to keep her daily spell uses.
Play some real RPGs ffs, either tabletop or plain old Wizardry.
Though I agree they could've made it standard fantasy, the rpg aspects have been pretty minimal, no level ups or skill points, as far as we know they just have to pay money for a teacher to teach them skills, which makes a lot of fucking sense.
Grimgar's got Yume's ass. Konosuba's got adventure guild's chick's tits.
What a combo.
Konosuba has Chris' ass too.
>Log Horizon was good,
If it wasn't for the episode long speeches about friendship and shit I would've finished watching S2, but I just couldn't stand it anymore.
>What's wrong with rangers going melee?
Nothing really, I am reading the first law trilogy, and ferro maljin, the only woman in the group is a great archer and a strong fighter, she can also dress wounds and hunt for food.
But she trained very fucking hard to get here, I never see those guys in grindar doing any training, the archer should be training everyday but all she does is fuck around.
Yeah, because Log Horizon and .Hack are so obscure right?
Fuck off, I even read until half the Alicization Arc before dropping it, and that was before the anime was over.
Well, they should be like level 1 or 2 and they probably don't have enough money for leather armor.
They did fuck up going after Hobgoblins, but you can't expect them to not use a frontline Cleric when they're lacking attack power.
Even after 3 episodes of "character development" like you guys call it, this guy's death didn't feel in any way sad or relevant. This is what happens when you have a bunch of one dimensional tropes as main characters.
Log horizon is not bad but I don't like that they are way too knowledgeable about it and way too many game-ish.
I like Konosuba and this a lot more since it doesn't go full retard with these and not forcing the gaming elements.
>what was it, like 2003? 2004?
The engine is surprisingly good for how old the game is.
>is it any good?
Engine is dogshit and game is shit. You might be able to play it but the first one is better.
But Konosuba and Grimgar aren't mmo anime. Konosuba is making fun of reincarnating into fantasy world genre while Grimgar is also doing the same genre but as straight as possible.
Well, they're different, Log Horizon is too game-ish because that's the point, the author wasn't trying to make a normal fantasy story and just shove the gaming aspects to make it easier to understand, he actually wanted to tell a story about what would happen if the game became real, so of course he's going to use the game aspect and people who know about it.
Konosuba is standard reincarnation story, but it does a good job of not taking itself seriously, it's also more of a comedy than anything else, so don't expect any hard consequences of anything the characters do. It's also very game like, something that's noticed by Kazuma, and a lot of the rules are really arbitrary and are mostly there for the sake of comedy.
>better than anything
>know he is going to die thanks to spoilers
>still fall in love with manato anyway
>i didnt need this suffering
Haruhiro a second best boy i guess.
Still the comfiest anime this season. I like the insert songs and mellow scenes.
>relaxing and being loud as hell in enemy territory
Highest rated of what? stalker thread? well i can tell at current status Konosuba will be something like 3k average, since it's only one version doing good there unlike GATE, drrr or even bokudake.
Why Overlord should be top list the MC has to fake everything about himself and start out Max lvl , at least Log Horizon and Grimgar got the concept right and manages to be interesting.
>Expecting lots of thights/feets related doujin related to her
>Most likely getting raped to death by goblins doujins instead
It's not fair, /a/. Why can't doujins into fetishes anymore?
>protag has to be in immediate danger to make the series interesting
so why don't you watch shonenshit instead?
OL is good enough to be on top given that Log is just muh friendship and muh jewish keikaku and Grimgar is far from over hence the >= mark
They would mostly being teaching you about your footwork, there should be a tatics trainer next episode were they all learn how retarded they are and there is character progression
Serves em right to be so relaxed in enemy territory.
Anon, it's not just about stabbing them in the back, it's about where to stab, proper footwork and knife-holding techniques. Do you honestly believe it's just as simple as 'stab in back for profit'? Boxing would just be known as 'punch people repeatedly' then.
Best characters. An innovative idea.
They never said they couldn't afford it, all he asked was if it costs money, and when he was offered to have it paid for he refused because he feels like they should pay for cremating their friend with their own money.
In other words, you're retarded
