Right now I'm mostly playing in a D&D homebrew campaign (Ancient Mongolia-esque setting with dinosaurs, orc Genghis Khan and shit).
My character there is Olgoï Khorkhoi, half orc, ranger. He was found as a baby by a human tribe and raised by idiots thinking he was the son of the snake god (fangs, green skin, it just made perfect sense). He travels with a box of wild venomous snakes he throws at his enemies and is high most of the time. Pic related.

might be a long shot, but i dunno where else to post and don't want to make a new thread. Anyone here remember an old webcomic, original work, I saw it on y!gallery but had a pretty big following. It was sci fi and set in some kind of military thing. Basically they fought using spaceships, which required one navigator and one fighter or something like that. The actual campaign hasn't really gotten very far yet so there's not actually a whole lot of adventure to say beyond backstory.

The short of it is he's a Tiefling who got a lot of shit for the whole fiend blood thing so he cut off his wings to try and pass as human. Now he goes from town to town as a sell sword, usually taking jobs defending caravans from bandits and shit cause it gives him an excuse not to stay anywhere long.
He sleeps with anyone he can seduce into bed cause he craves intimacy but wants to avoid emotional connections so he just skips town after.

He sounds like he could be really edgy but he's actually pretty chill.

I feel kinda like an asshole posting this here because I've posted it in a few writethreads (/y/, /d/, /trash/) but I haven't gotten any feedback on it aside from a single anon on AO3. Based on the viewcount I know people are reading at least part of it, but I have no idea if it's just too unpalatable in terms of content or if it's too long for a fapfic (there's plot) or what. I can live with "2gross4me, bro" since I think that's the majority of it—despite it being fairly mild in my eyes—but I would like to know if there's something I need to work on that I'm not aware of.

I had a look at it. Honestly, I have a hard time reading pairings I'm not into, so I kind of skimmed. It looks like your writing is really damn good actually. If this was a pairing I read then I would definitely read it all the way through, since it doesn't have any of the common issues that most fics have. So I think you're good there. Your problem getting feedback is probably entirely the content, and the fandom.

It's really extreme, and it's surprising that you feel like it's mild. Maybe read some of the popular fics in your pairing to see what people are typically into. There are a lot of people (like me) who like to read fucked up fic but who will never ever admit it, so getting comments and critique would be understandably difficult when people are kind of afraid to post on it. In this era of Tumblr and TWs and etc, stuff like rape/dubcon, watersports, asphyxiation, and all the other gross/dangerous/"bad" kinks aren't considered as "acceptable" and so they're pretty uncommon.

I wouldn't suggest toning down your content, since it's fanshit and you should make what you wanna make, but I might suggest restricting your stories to maybe 1 or 2 fucked up kinks per, instead of a whole load. I notice people will be a bit more lenient on weird kinks in normie fandoms when they're presented like "That watersports fic", like an intro to the kink.

I also mentioned the fandom because, Free is sort of a "clean" fandom, where there's no fucked up stuff in the canon, so it's less likely to be accepted in fanworks. For example, if you wrote this fic about a horror game, you'd probably be seeing more engagement, because the fans are already into fucked up shit. I'm not really making a suggestion here, because if Sousuke/Rin is your thing then you shouldn't have to pack up and leave because the fandom is vanilla, but maybe seeing that POV helps you feel a bit better about the lack of engagement.

I debated about posting it because it seemed like people can't make up their minds whether or not content that an anon created involving fandoms that weren't requests for a draw/writethread should be allowed but decided that it was easier to ask forgiveness than for permission. Next thread's OP should probably make its posting requirements explicitly clear if all fan content is a no go. Actually I'll just go ahead and write a mockup in the next post.

Inre: mildness, I'm thinking on a scale of vanilla noncon to Hell Season, that was a bad way to frame it. The majority of your response was more or less affirming what I suspected. The "clean" fandom was interesting since I had noticed something along those lines but wasn't sure if it was just the few fandoms I eyeballed or a general pattern.

I've yet to tone down my work and don't have any intent on doing so in the foreseeable future and I'm not married to any pairings because I'm not a shipper, so I'm not going to sweat those aspects. I'm more concerned with whether or not a story is good than if it's overwhelmingly popular since I'm functioning on the assumption that if content is solid, people will read it and provide feedback. (Especially since I allow anonymous comments.) If it's not, they won't. I'm an optimist in that respect.

Here's my boy, Adinzard!

He's a half-drow Bard with some Ranger training. He plays the lute, sings and writes poetry for wealthy nobility. He also travels quite a lot, taking one or two pieces of jewellery from those he works for to support him if he needs to disappear in a pinch.

He can most often be found sneaking out of bedroom windows before the wives of the men he seduces can come back to catch him in bed, usually carrying his clothes in a bundle and wrapped in a bed sheet. He's been a running RP character for me for a while now, across a Pathfinder game and into text RP with friends. He's been one of the most fun characters I've played with in a long time.

It's great. The face and the body seem to be two different styles, however. You should either pick to do things in a tumblresque Steven Universe style, or go more realistic as with the body.

My preference is for the work you did on the body, personally, but you'd know what you enjoy drawing more.

i like the character for his overall desighn, but im not a fan of how simple your style is, ignoring that id say because of how simple it is you should tone down how you show his clavicals, the repeated close lines are jarring and take away the viewiers gaze from the real fun, the dick and the face. also the way you made the shadow on his balls darker is not right, that area should be shaded same way the rest of him is and then darker shading UNDER his balls id give ya a solid 8.5/10
