It's confirmed omegaverse by the artist so there's implied A/B/O going on. I know that whole thing is hit or miss for some people. Yeah, it's really unfortunate. Luckily I've seen a couple tumblr users starting to discuss how toxic and unhealthy it is to force Noctis and especially Prompto into such feminized roles. Hopefully we'll see less of it.

I slightly prefer Prompto topping Noctis but I'm fine with it the other way around so long as they're both clearly having fun, but for whatever reason a lot of bottom Prompto turns him into a super cringy stereotypical submissive uke who gets totally pushed around by seme-Noctis in bed. It sucks that it's so common because I love the ship but god the BL tropes are a real bonerkill and make it hard to enjoy most of the smut.
And that's not counting all the AU fic where Prompto becomes a cliche otome-ge Mary Sue protagonist who exists as a vehicle for the reader to get fucked by the author's actual husbando of choice.

Though I'm starting to enjoy Ignis/Noctis a lot because the shippy content for it tends to be somewhat more balanced in comparison. Why is Regis/Clarus such a huge pairing? I don't remember them interacting that much in any shippy way in Kingsglaive. But there's like a shitton of requests on the kinkmeme so Clarus and Regis are Noctis's actual biological parents and so on.

I'd say it's because of the chemistry and implications between Gladio and Noctis, which are then transferred to their fathers who have the exact same roles. Their positions as King and Shield mean they've been together for almost their entire lives, and obviously in Kingsglaive Clarus stands beside Regis until the very end even though he knows what's going to happen. They're what Gladio and Noct could have been if Noctis had lived long enough.

There isn't much in the way of them interacting, so it's just fandom filling in for them. I rather like it, though. I think it's a pretty cute pairing, though I don't seek it out that much.

Okay anon, let's be honest here. He is taller than most FF protagonists but he isn't bigger than them. Being tall does not equal muscles or being ripped. I'm sure Noctis is fit, but compared to the people around him, and other scrawny people within the game, he is pretty small.
