When I woke up, I found myself in an unfamiliar room.

My best friend and I were using our summer vacation to go on a ten-day trip. We boarded a bus from the airport and were enjoying the sights of Okinawa when––

That’s the last thing I remember.

We’re in a hotel? Did we fall asleep in the bus…?

But the door to the room wouldn’t open, and what I thought were windows, were actually screens displaying scenes of the outside. We searched the room for any kind of clue about where we were, only to find another screen, this one displaying a cold and merciless sentence:

“You have been selected as subjects for a behavioral analysis experiment.”

In order to escape the room, every day we are forced to select one exercise from a list and complete it as instructed.
At minimum it’ll be ten days, ten choices.
We have two options:

Allow your friend to physically injure you,
or use your friend’s body, wounding him emotionally.

At the mercy of these cruel and inhuman choices, we came to the conclusion––

It literally just dropped on 9/30 in Japan. If MangaGamer is gonna bring it over to the West it's gonna be awhiiiile. It's supposedly a lot more simplistic than NTY since it's only two guys in a contained setting, so maybe it'll be faster to translate in theory.

Basically in that one the experience completely breaks both of them. Daichi concludes that his parents were garbage so he's garbage and that's why he started to enjoy abusing Seiji, so he might as well just give into it. Meanwhile Seiji can't get enough dick so he and Daichi prowl public parks at night for anonymous men to bang Seiji while Daichi watches. They no longer really give a shit about each other outside their deranged "hobby".

Pretty devastating ending. Although I've gotta admit the nipple piercings really suit Seiji.

At most only three tasks get performed on him, the blood draw, the incision, and the nail through the hand. The next one is chopping off a finger and Seiji doesn't want to go that far.

The sex stuff with Seiji torments him more than the violence stuff though. He ends up puking a few times after doing the deed with Seiji out of guilt.

I had been wondering if it had any connection to NTY, since NTY's ending had SOOO many loose ends. But after reading all this I'm going to assume they have nothing to do with each other..... regardless I'm super excited for it. NTY was great.

The scene replay section splits it into three "routes" one where they make it out more or less sane (only in one end do they manage to preserve their friendship too, in the others they're functioning members of society but shells of their former selves), one where they just sort of succumb to despair with sex as their only solace, and one where they sort of fully embrace the insanity of the situation and get out, but as completely broken people.

I think everyone was expecting a Seiji snapping end but there isn't one. The closes he gets to that is attempting to strangle Daichi at one point, but he can't go through with it. There is a mercy kill ending where they're both just so distraught Daichi can't see any way to end Seiji's suffering but killing him.

I forgot to mention guys, I started to play VNs since last year, so I might only be an amateur for such. Some of the ones I played were darker ones (e.g. Saya no Uta, Euphoria, Corpse Party (idk is that one?), Fraternite, Kara no Shojo).

First BL vns I played were Sweet Pool, which wasn't so very sweet since it felt like a waste of time. Then, DM, which is good but not that good. I played NTY and in fact I had a lot of good time with that game.

Idk, besides straight R18 VNs, I never expected R#9 to be fucking fucked up sad. Were BL VNs always this tragic?
