I really enjoy the amount of rule 34 around Overwatch characters. There is almost no porn content that doesn't work for me.

Of course >>2306788 is right, big part of this fandom just wants to see slutty Japanese assassin and cowboy, but I want to notice a few different things:

- While Hanzo and McCree have contrasting temperaments/personalities, their story is somehow similar. Both have shady past having connections with big criminal organizations. There is fan theory that possibly Shimada family had some business with Deadlock Gang, perhaps they even knew each other (but that's a big overestimation), anyway, they both know what it's like to seek redemption and justice after all they did in their past. They both are ashamed of this part of their story, so they don't bring up it often and had to learn how to handle with it.

- They both are excellent marksmen, with keen eye and trust put in their weapon. Their style is not about mindless shooting, but rather one well-measured bullet/arrow, sometimes two or six (fan the hammer / scatter arrow). They surely respect each other and marvel their abilities. If their combat approach tell us something about the character, they aren't as different as some would claim.

- They both are charismatic men in similar age that attach importance to their image.

McCree is surely more comfortable with himself, but is consequent with his BAMF (badass motherfucker) cowboy image. I remind, XXI century cowboy, so you have to be really consequent to not make it look just stupid.

Hanzo is more stiff with his (also anachronic, but more traditional) image, because it's what he was expected as perfect, traditional Shimada man. He wanted to be perfect, and when he wasn't he posed he is anyway. I bet he isn't comfortable with his sexuality (anything that means), because he was expected to continue his lineage. His father would be furious if he knew he likes men, and Hanzo being bi/homosexual it's a big possibility with such rigid and distant father and his big demands and expectations.

It's why Hanzo probably admires Jesse's self-confidence and naturalness, shamelessness even. He wishes to be as confortable with himself, his past and his sexuality as the roguish cowboy and he doesn't admit it even to himself that he looks up to him (because he was expected that others will look up to him, not the other way around, and also because of his repression of sexuality), so he subconsciously wants to be close to him, learn from him but also win over him (as he wanted to win over his father), but also distances from him because of that feeling.

On the other hand McCree is fascinated by Hanzo as well. Jesse was in a gang as teenager, that means his family situation was probably horrible - his parents was probably poor, constantly arguing and abusive, or he is an orphan raised in the streets. Either way, he was forced to find his own way as early as possible and might feel he missed a lot falling as low as he fell He probably have some minor complex because of all of this.

Meeting a person with such strict rules, honourable and constant, might be a nice change for McCree world of shady, ever-changing people (even in his Overwatch years he saw as his leaders become the shadow of themselves). He probably admires that Hanzo is able to live in such a way and always on his way to reach perfection. Jesse might be slightly irritated by this at first (of course he wouldn't show this, because he's quite chill, rather he wouldn't confront him at first and rather go for the small talks and smug comments), but I think that would change when he would discover that while Hanzo is reliable, is not as perfect, that he struggles a lot and in fact they both are somehow "broken" inside, while they have different ways to handle with it.
