1. Write things that you find hot, no matter how explicit/descriptive. Most of the times you will be writing for yourself (Unless you somehow managed to get paid of course, which I highly do not recommend) so it doesn't matter if you think somebody else will find it gross. If you don't find it hot, chances are, most people won't either.

2. You don't have to go too descriptive with the positions. Sometimes less is more, unless a certain position is part of the story/fetish. Give enough to let a person imagine, but not enough to be a scientific paper. It really depends on the story though.

3. Never forget to describe how an action makes the other person feel. Your people are living, thinking, and breathing. Unless it is an emotionless robot sex story, in which case you can ignore this step.

4. Establish from the start if you're going for a realistic or yaoi depiction of gay sex. While it varies for most people, it can be very difficult for a male to orgasm multiple times back to back without a break, let alone cum multiple times.

5. Think of different words to use instead of common slang words like cock/cum/ass. You can still use them, though, but they shouldn't be the only ones you use. For example, instead of " Person1 pushed his cock inside Person2," it could be, "Person1 pushed himself into Person2, shuddering at the enveloping warmth."

6. Be creative, try to avoid tropes if you can't pull it off (most people can't).

7. Read real novels instead of just fanfiction, it will drastically improve your writing. Don't be afraid to borrow words/ideas/actions/styles, it's not plagiarism, it's how art in general
developed.

8. You don't need to write a lot in one sitting. I used to stress out unless I wrote a ~2k words in a sitting, which drastically decreased my writing quality.

9. REVIEW REREAD REWRITE- There's always a way to make it better, and you have no excuses for spelling mistakes/grammar errors when so many free autocorrect tools exist.
