Okay guys, I need help:
What are in your opinion the best FREE horror games/experiences I can get right now?
>I've already played most of the good RPG Maker horror games (Ib, Witche's House, Ao Oni) and dozens of Yume Nikki fangames
>I've played some point and click games like the Bad Dream and Deep Sleep series
>I've played some 3d pixelated horror games like Imscared, I See You and Calm Time
>I've played the usual stuff like Slender, SCP Stairwell/Hallway Simulator
>don't bother recommending games on emulators, I've played most of the classics already or have them in my (physical) backlog
And more, which I just don't remember.
You see my predicament, I've played a lot and now I don't know what's left there. I've looked on gamejolt, but honestly most of what's left there is trash.
Précipice.
It's basically PT, but on steroids. Game is actually impressive in the graphics department, and it's what i wanted from PT: more PT.

Looks great, loved PT. But it seems, like you say, pretty graphic intense. Do you think it is still effective and playable on relatively low settings?
Not strictly pure horror but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games I bought were great and I heard there's one of them free now

dunno, it runs on the unreal engine. So if you can run an unreal game, you can run that shit

I was about to pick up Ao Oni. Coming from someone who has played a lot of free horror games, what would you suggest out of what you have played?

Everything I listed really. The ones I enjoyed the most from that list are Ao Oni, Ib, Yume Nikki (and it's fangame "flow"), Witch's house, Iamscared, Bad Dream and SCP Stairwell/Hallway simulator.
Just tried some shitty game called Pizza Delivery. It was terrible, yet I screamed in fear and closed the game as soon as something scary happened. Maybe my standards aren't that high after alll...

I remember playing a game called: scariest_game_ever.exe from the old gamemaker site.
It wasn't scary.
I miss those good old days of shitty horror games made on the default fps engine from gamemaker
Mad Father is definitely good.
Space Funeral isn't a "horror game" per sey but it's got some spooky bits and is fun.

To add, Mad Father has a graphically updated version on Steam for $5. It has a scene that sorta "adds" on to the ending, but it's nothing important to the story.

Space Funeral is so good and mostly comedy but that fucking blood cave messes with me every time I think about it.
