Well vampires have 3 loose categories that they fall into. May I also state that I've never met a vampire, but colleagues of mine have certainly had a fair share of experience.

Ferals are more animal than human, and tend to live in remote areas or out at sea. Angry, hungry mother fuckers.

Live amongst us and can pass as human to the untrained eye. Kidnap people and drain them slowly over weeks. Live in abandoned buildings and underground. If a condemned building has newspaper or other shit over the windows it can be a sign of urban vamp activity.

These ones are the bastard version. They have long since abandoned their humanity and live in very remote areas sometimes in ruins. They can sometimes hold a cult leader like status in small towns and whatnot. Its not uncommon for a skinny to have regular blood donors that they feed off. Most skinnies have been around for 100+ years and sometimes lead packs of other vampires.

Vampires die by normal means, as a human and can usually be killed by shooting or stabbing them alot, but don't tend to feel much pain. Getting caught killing them will get you arrested, however.
