Its pretend. There are no tangible results or science would have been on board long ago. People basicallybrainwash themselves into believing it works, same as any faith based system. Think about it, why would some sort of result, say a successful prosperity spell, work, but only if you drew a specific symbol, chanted specific words, etc. and yet the method is different from person to person? And as much as I want to tell you to go for it, OP, I can't. I'm scared of what it would mean. I can imagine making the jump, seeing /x/ transform before my very eyes, all the mystic posters welcoming a new arrival from the other side. But I can't do it. I'm not ready for that. I'm not ready to see that it was always there, waiting. I don't want to be told how long people waited for my return. I can't handle what it would mean right now and I'd probably cry right away.
