Nice point, honestly. Unfortunately though, it implies matter is not infinite, just the matter that reached the event horizon. And we can't get out of it. Can we? Give me some interesting theory, I like you.

The Universe as we know it, out "here" doesn't end. What people think is the "end" is actually just the cosmological horizon. Where light has traveled so far it's red shifted into oblivion. That's also a function of a singularity though. The gravity is so intense it separates different frequencies of light. That's how big this toybox is. It doesn't really end either. You can probably continue simulating with smaller and smaller parts until you reach a level that looks exactly like this one.
