ghosts lol. I was so dumb. I mean who actually thinks that spirits just stick around and shit to walk around all day and spook people? dumbest shit I ever heard.
>>
>>19556804
True, I feel like I'm special and it is difficult to fathom that anyone else has feelings and/or emotions. I've felt that way since I was very little and haven't changed since. Maybe it's the mind of a killer who doesn't think anyone else matters.
>>
>>19556821
I've seen two ghosts, both looked like normal people.

Imo they're not 'spirits' or 'souls', but some type of hallucination.

I agree, the idea that 'souls' are walking around is utterly ridiculous.

You may have an undiagnosed mental disorder. I advise you look into it and judge for yourself whether you need medical attention.

Serial killers usually think that way. It's a form of paranoid schizophrenia.

When I was about 4 years old I saw in a comic strip or something a dog burying a bone.

Asking about it I learned that dogs bury bones, its a common occurence.

Well, there are a lot of dogs in the world.
And the world is quite quite old, mind-boggingly old.

I achieved the conclusion that we are standing over a near infinite amount of bones, which protect us from falling forever into the abyss.

That was how I was a flat earther for a few days.

William Friedkin stated he interviewed various psychiatrists and to his surprise they were accepting of demonic possession based on the cases they had. Not to mention he personally filmed a real exorcism. If you want personal information that's research you have to do yourself.

Also when I was a kid I would bargain with god that I would start worshiping him, like I was too lazy to fully believe/pray so if something bad was happening in my life like I thought I had cancer or some other disease(I'm kind of a hypochondriac)or something I would pray that if everything turned out I would believe in god and begin to go to church for the rest of my life. When tony hawk american wasteland came out, i told my friend, they should do the bmx controls for skateboarding it would be perfect... years later ea skate came out and i was at that age quite mindblown.

collective consciousness though, is a phenomenon. I can't find the google link but I swear they did an experimint that taught one set of monkeys on one side of the world, and on an remote island all the other monkeys would learn that behaviour, too.

Quantum entanglement seals the deal, specifically, our DNA is quantumnly entangled, our DNA strands A) part of the same thing entirely and B)able to communicate with eachother faster than the speed of light and regardless of time and distance itself. Knowledge from the future is technically possible conceptually. Channelling has a legit scientific explanation. it's in the name, our DNA is entangled, on a quantum scale. They are the same particle but spread out in different states.

I used to think the Bible was real. Like, God used to flood the world and part the seas and talk directly to people in plain language and then he suddenly quit, and sent his son to do magic, get tortured and die... and that he came back to life but quickly disappeared again but he resurrected honest...

And then after that God stopped talking clearly and directly to anyone who didn't want my money and stopped magic users entirely.

I'm embarrassed about how long I actually believed this stuff...

again, as a grown man i've come to read the bible while suspending disbelief, under the pretense of 'well, i wasn't there'. I actually have come to believe and rationalize gods' existence, however, I am a pantheist and a realist first and foremost. I think it is wise to say, i was not there, so i cannot verify the validity of any event depicted in the bible. I can, however, derive semantics from the book. At the very least, one can pick cherries from the bible, at the most we are reading an account of an entity that transcends space and time basically giving up on humanity occasionally yelling from the air and the rest is to be continued

i haven't read the old testament, neither so much of the new. However, i've seen some crazy shit, like, ufos are so advanced i wouldn't be surprised if they could pull off every single ... oh my god... miracle in the bible, guys, what if jesus was an alien?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!1

and he had super advanced tech and stuff... O.O

bro i'm skeptical of ghosts but i spoke with a ghost as a child and only found out it wasn't my granddad recently, when my mum flat out told me i used to speak with ghosts, one of which being an old man (who i can remember vividly)

there's an anon on /x/ who has the exact same experience but he used to talk with a lady with ginger hair and actually found out who it was (a lady who had passed away beforehand)

our stories are almost identical the ghosts looked like physical real people and would sit on the bed and talk with us, i remember speaking with the man at least twice iirc, but can remember the experience so vividly like it happened yesterday, he looked like mr. sato from the anime Ajin. (I lived in the UK where such attire is very appropriate for the elderly). I specificly remember he would tell me things that i would not understand until later in life. It was among the lines of to cherish all life as it is very valuable. His resemblance to the anime character struck me so much, i am wondering if it holds any meaning. it is an anime about immortal beings. ghosts are linked to immortality, and are known to be able to be channeled... perhaps he is still alive in the spirit realm? Or could it be mere coincedence?

From what i've gathered, ghosts are more than likely real, i've seen strange enough shit to not be surprised anymore by anything.

>True, I feel like I'm special and it is difficult to fathom that anyone else has feelings and/or emotions
That's called the problem of other minds, a philosophical phallacy inherent to the human condition, an illness, so to speak, a mental condition that must be cured.

There is no proof of other minds, through logical positivism, however, it goes without saying that other minds exist. On a deeper level, however, one must have faith in reality itself to be considered a true scientist, therefore it is a phallacy to think of science as something independent from faith or subjectivity itself.<PANTHEISM
>>
god and jesus
>>
>>19556826
Even if you are the only being capable of feeling and emotion or thought, ok, i'm going to say that's not true to boot, but let's entertain the thought experiment with solipsism as the basis for our hypothesis.

What happens when the solipsist dies?

If he is truly the sole force of the universe, it goes without reason to say that the next step would be, the solipsist repeats his most known action: life. In doing so we eventually create a matrix where the solipsist will want to visit his past lives which are saved in his universal database, by doing so, is the theory of solipsism still valid? It raises some very controversial questions and surprisingly enough, some 'good' arguments for solipsism. (which i DIDNT expect when beginning the hypothesis)

You see, solipsism and pantheism aren't so far removed from eachother, for to truly beleive in non duality, there is indeed only one soul, agent, entity or consciousness but, that soul has the ability to reproduce and mutate its' bodily (earthly) form (body). and interact with itself through other entities which are basically aspects of itself or incarnations to simplify the concept.

My argument here, is that solipsism will inevitably lead to the creation of other minds, therefore nullifying itself on the simple grounds, while raising a whole bunch of other questions such as, well, if it's not solipsism anymore then does it eventually evolve into the system we have now / pantheism?

I think the answer is yes.

The universe is a hard drive our consciousness merely RAM which is triggered by loading data from the hard drive to work with (such as a pc, is an object stored in the universe not in our minds)

I like to see the universe as the most gigantic storage space there is in terms of data, our data is literally physically which makes for easy memory mapping, i mean it's hard for us to forget where we live and over time these things are engrained to subconscious level.....
>>
>>19556895
Serial killer and solipsism are related huh? doesn't surprise me. Seems this is trulely a mental plague of some sort that we must cure as a species, for christs sake people are eating corpses and paying for animals to be murdered. That's not civilized, and i think it is majorly due to the trap of solipsism, the cure to which, being pantheism!

I am not alive, the universe is alive, living temporarily through me.

from my experience it is better to believe in god than not to. My life has been so much worse as an atheist and so much better as a believer or even a skeptic/agnostic/buddhist.

I think there's something personal to the universe, yeah. Sure seems that way sometimes. Quantum entanglement only gets you so far. We would actually need a deus ex machina until the last incarnation to even make sense of the clusterfuck of souls that is life in the present, something with a clear mind that determines what the actual universe itself decides to do, yeah, i think we need that.

I also think he knows when you're honest and not, because you are carrying his soul until you pass it on the next strand of quantumnly entangled DNA...

That my pretty doll had emotions. I remember looking at her face and she had an expression like she was suffering. Pretty weird, she was always sad.

As a kid, I believed that everyone went to hell, regardless of their belief system or their actions in life. I believed that god is a creature that enjoys confusing humans and making them suffer for all eternity for reasons we can't understand. To prepare myself for eternal damnation, I decided to fill my days with as much suffering as possible to prepare and desensitize myself to the horrors of the inferno to the best of my ability.

When I was like 5 I thought God was a bear, specifically a panda bear.
But in spanish people calls God "Diosito" and little bear is "osito" ... so no that crazy I guess.
