I think this place deserves an x thread
crazy leader who nobody seems to understand
indoctrinated people who worship their leader even though the lead robotic poor quality lives
supposed concentration camps where human experiments are conducted
underground nuclear research facility in the mountains
and what about the american guy who was sent to a korean prison for a minor offense and then appeared in court a complete vegetable and died shortly after. what did they do to him.
such a strange and otherwordly place compared to even the rest of the east.

One of my professors actually visited North Korea although it was almost a decade ago. He talked privately with the guides and a few people who said most of the population knows the the Kim family and government are bullshit but they have the loyalty of the military so of course no one dares go against them. Also, for many years now the South has been sending balloons with radios, DVD's, and recently smartphones up North so even more people can get a glimpse of the outside world.
