Mandela Effect. Real or false memory?

I remember that a comedian Bert Kreischer died by a heart related problem about 4-5 months ago and it was a big thing. I remember Joe Rogan making a RIP video about him. I remember going to his stand up videos on youtube and seeing the comment section with all the usual Rest In Peace comments.

But now it seems like the guy is alive and well. Does anybody else remember Joe Rogan making a video about comedian friend who died of heart related problems, am I just mistaking the guy? Found out that he's alive just now on Joe's podcast https://youtu.be/tjegWo2oPVg My first thought was that it's some old clip. Couldn't believe it.

I need some clarity. Especially if I'm mistaking the guy. I'm not claiming my memory is perfect, and I'm open to any theories on why I thought he died. Never had an experience like this before where I can vividly remember the details and possibly fabricate false memories. I've had smaller ones where I'd get a detail wrong (I think we've all had those) but a guy dying and fabricating false memories is definitely on whole other ball park.

I'd appreciate your theories on what's going on.Thanks.
